You qont find a nicer cleaner pub than this..plus the beer is great.couldnt say about the food I don't like pizza but they look good and very popular

Beer cracking. Vibe pretty good, a touch lad/dad vibes but that’s all good if you are up for it.

Went in Saturday night fairly late, chill atmosphere and not rowdy, decent drink selection, plenty of space.

I like coming here to sit by the river, there's great choice of beers and the staff are friendly

We went in for a drink & we sat out on the back balcony. Which over looked the river Yare. Lovely sitting out in the sun shine watching the ducks swimming.

Been working locally this week and every night I’ve popped in as was recommended by someone I know through work and I can say that it’s a great pub with a a good atmosphere and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. The owner is happy to chat and I even had table service which is offered to all customers which is a great way to encourage customers. It’s only Wednesday but I’ll be back on Thursday before heading home Friday after working near Gt Yarmouth. You must visit The Ribs of Beef 👍

Always vegan beer choices here - hoorah. Tonight there were a few vegan friendly casks and vgn pizza option- wow thank you

Lots of different areas. Good football pub. On the pricey side. Nice to sit outside on the bridge over the wensum in summer

Got my drinks order slightly wrong, but it's no big issue. Lovely little pub, slightly on the pricier side. Our seats had a lovely view of the river and I got myself a nice 'sour' half pint. Toilets are perfectly adequate, with a nice view of the original brickwork. Popped in for a drink with my adult children, I childishly was banging the table and we got chastised, which would be fine....but the table next to ours was at least twice as loud, not impressed.

Still a great place to visit. Rebuild of jetty, completed. Ever changing guest beer's. Mainly pizzas for food.

Traditional pub with warm atmosphere and outdoor seating overlooking the river. Staff very friendly and relaxed, a huge range of beers, with a wide selection of real ales on hand pump. A lot of different seating areas inside and out. Dog friendly. Perfect pub.

Oldest pub in Norwich? Wow, what a find, right by the river with such heritage behind it. It has an outside decking area by the river, which is partly undercover, so you can just sit and watch the boats go by...with a drink...with no other agenda... 15 mins from the station. 5 mins from Norwich centre. So worth a visit.

We stumbled across this little gem after walking down the historic Elm Hill... A little dark alley brought us out onto a wooden balcony right on the River. We had entered via a back door so once inside it was a bit of a maze to find the bar.... Back through up the stairs and a lovely pub built over 2 levels right next to the bridge.... There are also tables outside at the e front of the pub Great choice of drinks Sitting next to the River was just lovely, so peaceful, just perfect

Staff member with the green and white shirt was super rude. It was his last day apparently as we overheard a colleague saying “be as rude as you want, it’s your last day”.

Had a lovely walk along the river then into The Ribs. Great choice of ales & ciders. Staff were excellent. We thought table service was a great idea. We also had burgers. They were amazing! Didn't want them to end. They were the best burgers we've ever had. Such a thoroughly enjoyable day. Definitely be going back. Everyone were having a great time. Thanks Ribs :)

Norwich 's friendliest pub, located on the Wensum at Fye bridge. Seal (yes! Seal), otters, kingfishers are seen from this establishment. Varied drinks menu with in-house eatery. Terrace, over looking the river, boat mooring available and dogs welcomed. No wheelchair access available, toilets on lower lever. Ideal spot in the summer. Polite, knowledgeable & friendly staff. Current Guinness pouring champions. Quiz nights held here in bar as well as comedy nights in the downstairs wherry room. Home of the Summer's duck race. Live music most Sundays, which are extremely popular.

Great range of real ales, and well kept. Not local - well not for 20+ years, but made to feel welcome by staff. Great looking menu . . . only had the toastie but was top drawer. Pleased that one of my old haunts is still going strong . . . well done guys.

Offering eight real ales, this comfortable pub overlooking the river has a riverside terrace. When we visited there was no food available due to staff shortages but this didn't detract from the warm atmosphere.

Popped in on Sunday for a beer and something to eat, and to listen to a band but was told that my 13 y old was not welcome after 5. You would think after the last couple of years they would be a bit more welcoming.

Nice enough pub with a decent riverside location. The food is provided by another local business and we had an enjoyable Mexican style lunch. Maybe a bit touristy.

Made to feel unwelcome when we arrived on Tuesday night prior to football being shown. Didn't stay as basically asked "where were we going to stand to have a drink". Not great for visitors to the area

Been drinking and eating here for nearly 30 years. Very sad to see the standard of service decline so badly. Not even allowed to enter the bar for a quiet pint. Poor food, poor welcome and poor service. I won’t be back.

One of the best pubs in Norwich... the team are first class. Great service. Everyone always acknowledged when you walk in.

Group of six middle aged guys visiting the pub after attending the beer festival made to feel most unwelcome on arrival. We were almost turned away on the basis that there were no seats (?) but the remedial bar person acquiesced and said we could have a drink if we kept out of the way of the bar, ironic considering people were sat at the bar potentially blocking new customers from being served! Come on Ribs, you can do better than this!!

Nice venue, drinks averagely priced. Lost a star as althought they know when their busy periods are, they refuse to remove the barstools so near impossible to get to the bar. You can then be berated for standing near the glass collection point. I believe they have bands on at the weekends too, of your looking for live entertainment

I've literally had two beers so I'd point out this is not a drunken review but this is fast becoming my perfect pub. Variety of beer, quality of beer, service, location, views.....
