So pleased to have found this place. Both our meals were lovely, good service too. I had vegan smashed avocado, delicious.

Have been before and took my brother today (who is vegan) for lunch. I have to say I was a little disappointed I had their 'special' of honeyed peaches and whipped feta on sourdough and whilst it tasted ok it was a very small portion and not very well presented. Such a shame! My brothers vegan sandwich was tasty and he enjoyed it.

I love this place! I can for breakfast with my young daughter. Food is delicious and service great. I would highly recommend!

Called in today for the first time & it looked like it HAD been busy but not many customers left, just uncleared tables. Ordered a slice of cake from the counter display plus a black coffee & a tea & having been told they would fetch it outside to us I paid & went to our seat. Having waited around 20mins for hot drink & ready made cake I popped back in to be told again that it would be fetched to us so returned outside again. Eventually it arrived, the cake slice, a mug of tea, a cup of coffee (no saucer but was told they don't do saucers) & on request for spoons, one spoon to share between coffee & tea. Hubby will eat any cake & said it was passable, tea was ok & coffee was not black, as ordered, but dark brown & kind of cloudy, as though someone had started to put milk in then stopped at a few drops remembering it shouldn't be there. I could have returned it of course but by then had lost the will to live so drank a little & left the rest. We won't return & can't honestly recommend because the prices, we felt, are higher than they should be for both service & quality.

R&M is a firm favourite for a weekend, we wouldn’t go anywhere else for breakfast/brunch! I couldn’t choose between savoury and sweet yesterday so we had dirty eggs, and cinnamon bun french toast to share. Really friendly team, and the BEST food!

For a first visit I have to say I wasn't wowed...can't fault the service but our food was just OK...I had the Classic and my poached eggs were slightly undercooked and the mushrooms, whilst a lovely flavour & huge amount, were luke warm. The granary bread/ toast was indeed doorstop & good quality but I wonder if you have lots of wasted toast? 2 slices with the dirty eggs was lots for my mum so I wonder if you serve 1 slice but give the option of a second if it's required? We did request the scrambled eggs to be cooked a little more when ordering and this wasn't a problem at all. Unfortunately we also had noisy customers sitting close to us, which wasn't ideal & yes, I know this wasn't the cafés fault. All this said, I will return & try the French toast or pancakes!

Met with friends. One friend called and booked then popped in to change time. When we arrived there was no record of booking. Luckily it was not busy. No skimmed or semi skimmed milk! Which meant I couldn't have a hot drink!!!! Asked for Pepsi Max (which is on they menu....) apparently they don't do it. Ended up with water! Very disappointed. Only stayed for one drink and went home for a cup of coffee. Staff were nice and apologetic.

First time visiting as always been meaning to pop in. A baby group for mums was letting out so it was a squeeze but not too bad. The food is divine. Best feta and avacado toast ive ever had. Great choices if you're vegan but they do have meat. I'd prefer a few more traditional breakfast options. The mushrooms cooked in syrup were a new thing and I absolutely loved them! Our server was really nice, big fan of him. The only thing that let it down was that the chef was clearly having a bad day and didn't want to even attempt to hide his bad mood from the rest of us. Point blank ignore me at the til after banging down a load of plates and storming into the kitchen. You're a great chef, no need to be in a bad mood. Will definitely be back

Family of 3 visit. We had 2 portions of the messy eggs… absolutely delicious and the birthday cake pancakes. The food was delicious and we would definitely come again. The only criticisms I have are 2 things. 1. Music was far too loud 2. Glassware was greasy and had dried food stuck to them. Other than those 2 things…. Great!!!

We booked a table for three but turned up with 4. This was no problem and staff were very welcoming and friendly. The menu is something different, no fry ups. Delicious and substantial meals. We had the French toast with berries and mascopone and the poached eggs and avocado on doorstep toast with a side of glazed mushrooms - these were delicious. In fact all the food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. The thing that really made our visit though was the fantastic service from our server. She was friendly and nothing was too much trouble, we had asked for a couple of adjustments to our orders. There was a lovely feel and the music was mellow and unobtrusive. We would highly recommend a visit here. Booking is essential on a weekend.

Had an amazing breakfast here. Couldn't choose between several items on the menu so I was greedy and had two. Portions were big quality of the food was superb. Both me and my partner enjoyed every mouthful. Only negative was the hasbrown dish was over priced. Apart from that, everything else was worth the money. Will definitely return.

Nice casual vibe very friendly staff who advised us on what was good on the menu. Portions are huge so be prepared. We had the undecider breakfast which was enormous but we pushed through and managed to clear most of it. Really cooked well and nicely presented. We couldn’t eat the pancakes so we split them into two boxes to take out. We found everything really tasty and not bland as some had suggested. Will definitely be going back to try other dishes.

It's one of our favourite places to go and I love introducing it to my friends. The food was amazing. I had the oriental smashed avocado and my friend had the classic. Both were amazing. My little boy had a pancake and wasted no time in eating it. I currently can't have dairy and the front of house staff went out of their way to make sure I had everything I need including a hot chocolate made from oat milk which was delicious!
