Glasses for drinks dirty and they came after food was finished. Didn’t inform us kids aren’t allowed after 2030 until 2020 and then had to Chase their desserts that were already paid for as part of the kids meal deal to be rush eaten in 5 minutes. Tried to order an adult desert to be told it was a 45 min wait in the kitchen. (Clearly don’t have separate staff for desserts) so had to have a refund as had to leave with the kids.

Lovely people. Lovely view. Lots of nice things to look at in the shop. Books to read. Little biscuits with your coffee. Loyalty card. And it is very good coffee!

The start of a new venture is always nice to see... Sarah & Chris are excellent hosts. Coffee great, so good I visited twice in one day, free newspapers available to peruse, cakes locally sourced... lemon sponge a must, add to this various vintage nick nacks and to the rear, beyond the period counter, a great selection of vinyl Lp's to purchase... a must for those of you who got rid of your vinyl for CD... and now wish you hadn't. "Power to the People"... Rock On...

Avoid! We went in for ice cream - they had about 3 flavours out of the 15 or so advertised. They blamed delivery. When we ordered 5 they handed us 5 pathetic tiny scoops in tubs - didn’t even ask if that was ok. When we complained the manager aggressively told us “we are closing next week so running supplies down” as if we were somehow outrageous to expect cones/to be told there was no cones before we paid. It needs a good clean too inside.

Visited on a very atmospheric March afternoon. Quite bustling, despite the weather and managed to get one of the window seats which is obviously one of the main attractions of the place. I had hoped for more goujons (I was told 4, but only 3 arrived) but they were tasty as was the tartare sauce. The coffee was pretty strong (a good thing!). Would rate 3.5/5. It has a kind of canteen-esc vibe and can well imagine it being PACKED in summer. Would like to come back again after a blustery coastal walk and make the most of their winter warmer specials and cosying up by the window overlooking the sea.

Beware, this pub is now serving a pint of normal ale at £5.80, nearly £6 a pint? Nowhere in the Weymouth area is doing this, crikey, that's expensive!
