Retro Coffee Shop in Rushmoor

Went for breakfast here last week. I paid £8.50 for what I thought would be a 'proper' breakfast. I'm sorry, but I don't call one sausage, two bacon, toast, coffee and two eggs a real breakfast. Wasn't even cooked properly. Come on! The public aren't stupid. I know the sausage was a cheap one, and the bacon was crap. YOU HAVE A BUTCHER NEXT DOOR!!!!!!

Top coffee and tea. Lovely ’ Retro’ breakfast and cakes etc. This place is ‘cool’, something really great about it! Friendly staff and great service. VERY CLEAN.

Lovely little cafe. Very warm and inviting inside. Coffee is delicious and much better than anywhere else in North Camp. The cakes are good too and they even offer a gluten free option. Will definitely be going back.

Popped in to here following a recommendation from a friend.What can I say, what a lovely place. I got a hot chocolate to take away, a drink for my son and then some gorgeous homemade cake!The hot food menu looked great and I will be back to try some soon.

Amazing cake! Well that’s according to my 4 year old,he had the biggest slice of chocolate cake I’ve ever seen. Lovely friendly staff. Nice place to sit and people watch.

Excellent place to eat whilst wandering around North Camp - varied menu including paninis, sandwiches, salads or breakfast etc. and scrummy home made cakes :) - my favourites are the victoria sponge or the carrot cake - so moreish. Staff are so welcoming and friendly and bring everything to the table for you. Coffee is excellent and always piping hot - usually I have to ask for it hot in other high street coffee shops but not here. There is no rush to leave and you can sit and read or just people watch if you wish.80's music in the background and lots of 'retro' on the walls.Give it a visit - you won't be disappointed.

Having been popping into another cafe quite close by for sometime now but getting frustrated with the slow service we decided to give the Retro a try. I’m so glad we did!! Fantastic omelette, so tasty and well cooked. Hubby really enjoyed his bacon and sausage sandwich. Spotlessly clean and very friendly staff. Highly recommend you give it a try.

Had a full breakfast here. Was not only asked how i wanted my eggs done ie fried etc but how i liked the cooked. Service was v good and food for the price was great value. A good find and like the other reviews well worth it.

Great cafe to sit and people watch. Always go in when I am in North Camp. Delicious home made cakes etc. and staff are lovely and really helpful. The coffee is excellent and they will even bring to your table for you. Plenty of seats outside on a good day.Some unusual books on the window sills if you want to have a read and staff don't rush you at all.

We popped into this little coffee shop in Northcamp. Great little find. We reserved a table, and ordered cheese sandwiches and chocolate cake. All good and the staff were friendly.The decor is quirky and the place was airy , clean and cool. Will be going back.

We called in here for a spot of lunch with our granddaughter, after a little history trip of Northcamp. It's a nice cosy little place with lots of little quirky items. My granddaughter loved the retro Ferrari phone, and a favourite of mine was the police box sign! We all had cheese sandwiches, which arrived with delicious homemade coleslaw and was a lovely addition. The service was good, and they were all very friendly and smiley! Nice and clean, and not overly busy, which was great for us.

I popped into this little Coffee Shop at lunch time today while waiting for my car MOT test.Delightful staff, very friendly.............with lovely coffee , and a warm Paninni.And if you are into Classic cars.....this is the place for great reading matter.It was good to support a local business like this...Well done RETRO COFFEE SHOP.

Just a small local family run shop by a very friendly owner. The large French Press AKA Cafetiere is great value, even if you can't finish it .( I didn't eat anything here)

When I work from home I always take breakfast at the Retro Cafe. Its small, welcoming and the food and service is excellent. Keep up the good work

Popped in here for the first time recently whilst trying to kill some time. Had a latte and a sandwich. It was really nice and was quite cosy inside. Decor is great and will be popping back again soon

I pop in here for a cappuccino and something before I get my nails done (a couple of doors up). Great service and good snacks/food.

Recommend to this place as we were in the aea. Very friendly staff who welcomed us and were very attentive. The food was hot and very tasty. Definately worth a visit

I have called here regularly for breakfast over the last few months, usually arriving soon after 8 am after a long drive. The food is delicious, freshly cooked and service always friendly and efficient. Thoroughly recommend.

Stopped here yesterday for a quick lunch as was shopping near by. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, it was like lunch at a friends! Food was lovely to! Deff going here again soon!

Fuimos a Retro en un capricho, tratando de encontrar una parada para desayunar temprano para una reunión. El personal era increíblemente amable y acogedor, a pesar de la temprana hora! La decoración es geek acogedor, con algunas excelentes piezas que hizo el tanto de sonreír. La comida era buena, así como el café. Bien merece una visita si estás en la zona. ¡Volveré!

whenever I pop into the retro coffee shop ,there is a bubbly atmosphere smily faces and lovely food , nothing is too much trouble very pleasant experience even with my two young grandchildren , who are quite noisy never a black look well done keep up the good work

Only popped in for a cup as we were walking the dogs. Very friendly service and a good selection of tea.

Yo en este café pop en mi regular en bicicleta el sábado en el canal. Todo lo que quiero es un buen café con leche y un Danés, y algo de tiempo para recuperarse para el viaje de vuelta. Siempre me dan un buen servicio, y te traen el café a la mesa. . No hay que esperar alrededor. como en las tiendas principales de café. Es un lugar pequeño pero siempre me dan un asiento. Todo el mundo es agradable y educado.

Small place but comfortable enough for a few groups to sit in. Coffee is good and paninis very tasty. Price is about right for what you get, I think. Staff are friendly.

We visited here for lunch on a shopping expedition to the charity shops in North Camp. The young girls serving were very friendly, even if they lacked finesse, and served us cheerfully. I enjoyed a very tasty cheese-and-ham toastie and can recommend this if you are visiting. The cafe does have a toilet for patrons, but this is somewhat awkwardly located between two of the tables and so if you sit in that part you have to be wary of the outward-opening door!Would happily visit again next time we are in North Camp.

Really lovely coffee and very friendly but always come out smelling of whatever is cooking, as no windows. Shame because food is great, even a fan might help the situation.

When me and my granddad go shopping we always stop here. The staff always talk to my granddad and there homemade cake is wonderful. The only thing that dissaponts me is the French dressing it wansnt very nice.

Paninis are nice but not coffee. Its more like hot milk. Needs to be stronger so today we just had food.

North Camp is not the most welcoming of places but Retro Coffee bucks the trend. The staff were fantastic from the start. The decor is full of character and interest. There is a good amount of seating bad service was quick.We had coffee, a milkshake, a smoothie and wraps/panninis. All were great quality and good value.Well recommended.

Popped into Retro this morning with my youngest (12 years) and ordered us both a bacon sandwich. Staff were friendly and polite and my son (very fussy eater) really enjoyed the sandwich. Not pricey either. Will definitely use again.

Great bacon rolls, beautifully cooked. Friendly and pleasant staff, made to feel welcome. Clean and tidy premises. Reasonable prices, would recommend.

There are plenty of cafes on Camp Road but Retro has the most personality. The food was great at a good price.

My fiance and I stopped in for a coffee and bite to eat. The panini was delicious, but we waited about 20 minutes after being served food for our coffees. The coffee was good, but the wait time was unacceptable. They also don't have any sugar free syrup options available, so if you are unable to eat actual sugar for any reason, you are out of luck

We live this place.Every trip to Farnborough we stop in for at least a coffee and dessert. The ladies are nice and it is a nice walk from the hotel.

It was my first time visiting the Retro Coffee shop after recently moving to the area. Absolutely delicious coffee, brought to your table, and a really great atmosphere and decor. I will definitely be back! Need to sample the cake selection next time, it also had a wide range of hot food available too but didn't sample this!

Went in for lunch with my husband and son. Service is great and food was nice. Love the look of the place. Will definitely go again

I've never seen a wider range of herbal and fruit teas in my life! This is honestly a treat for me! My favourite meal on the menu is the pesto chicken jacket potato! It's delicious and wonderfully filling on a cold day. Wonderful decor for you to observe and think of the 'good 'Ol days' while you sip fresh coffee and munch on a range of cakes or lunchtime meals. Breakfast is available before 11, so if you fancy a fry up then make it an early one. Truly a wonderful little gem in this area. Oh and not to mention the staff are very entertaining and will just make your visit and your day that extra bit special!

We call in whenever in the area as it really has got the best coffee in the area (Farnborough, Fleet, Aldershot, Farnham etc.) Always friendly service and has tasty food. Would highly recommend. Amazed to see a couple of less than complementary reviews. Not disputing you can find better food in a restaurant but it is what it is. Excellent coffee, tasty snacks, nice surroundings, reasonable prices and friendly service. Happy to support local independent businesses that strive to supply a high level of service especially when they blow away the large coffee chains in all departments.

I get coffee here every morning and it's always top quality.Lunchtime sandwiches also very good.Service with a smile

We were staying in Farnborough to attend a function, did not know this area at all and wanted a snack and a drink. The local cobbler recommended this coffee shop and were were not disappointed. We both ordered a chicken, bacon and mayo sandwich and tea. The sandwich was delicious with warm bacon, chunky chicken and fresh bread. There was a large range of cakes on offer but we were too full to try. The staff were very friendly and the 80s ambience was great.

We got up late this morning and wanted breakfast. We found this place and it was great. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I would eat here again in a minute.

I still go to retro--café from time to time--- fun friendly staff , super black Americano coffee , baked beans on toast /or sausage rolls/ or pizza slice--- so why go to retro café when you can buy your drink and food somewhere else--- well I am a super retro dude---50,s ,60,s,70,s, 80,s 90,s music and films and styles and people of that era-- the décor inside is fabulous , the music is to me wicked and great , the staff dress is casual , fun but clean. Love the friendly banter. Facilitys are good-- bear in mind this is a small but delightful coffee shop-- not a large establishment , but the old saying can mean small is better.

Our second visit today but will definitely keep coming back. A lovely little cafe with interesting decor and a great selection of tasty food served by very friendly staff. They are especially good with our autistic son who is already looking forward to our next visit.

Met my wife after a long week at work to unwind before we pick the girls up from School. My wife had a tea and brie and Cranberry Pannini and I had a flat white and Chicken and mayonnaise baguette superb! The staff are very friendly and make you welcome. The perfect start to the Weekend :-)

We popped in for a coffee and ended up haveing a cappuchino, a mocha, a bacon & egg baguette (the best cooked bacon) and a tuna, moxerella and sunsweetened toms. Oh Wow heaven on a plate. Even finished off with a victoria sponge and a tiffin and oh of course a Snowberry fruit smoothie. Well worth a visit and we will certainly be back. Thanks

In a world of global coffee shop chains, its nice to find a small, independent establishment to pass some time between local meetings. A good selection of coffees, cakes and pastries, although I selected a hot panini and was not disappointed. You can tell a lot about an eatery from whether the locals use it, and there were plenty popping in and out during my visit. Retro in name - supported by period photographs and even old Beano annuals! Will definitely be back for another Retro panini when next in the neighborhood.

yes it was expensive, but was worth it first rate service, freindly and welcoming.Coffee was very good, bacon bab was well cooked and tasted really good.What can go wrong with a bacon bab...beleive me a lot, but not this one.yes its cramped, but hey its a coffee shop.

You are never too old to relive your childhood ! Loved the photos and annuals. Terrible stressful week for myself. Very kind and understanding staff. Natural friendliness. Coffee needed,and 1 breakfast over 5 days- scoffed the lot! . If they can put up with me 2 or three times a week for a bacon sandwich and a mug of tea or coffee- wicked. Not a business person- Just a place to relax either outside or in . Pete W

Quick visit for a bite to eat. The latte was fine but the chicken mayo baguette (not a whole one - more like a large finger roll) was tasteless (even with 2 sachets of pepper) and over priced.

The staff are pleasant here serving an average cup of coffee , nothing spectacular - but quite expensive - the environment is very cramped and the food un-inviting as all behind big dark chillers - appreciate hygiene and food safety issues but not very inviting !

Great coffee, great food, great staff!! I was only intending on popping in for a quick coffee, but due to the welcoming, friendly nature of the staff, the wonderful environment (and fantastic coffee) I ended up staying for a couple of hours. Lunch was lovely and no request was too much trouble. I just wish this was in my local area as it would be a place I would visit on a very regular basis :))

I had looked in here before near to closing time and found nothing was available, but actually went in today with the family. We were waiting for the car to be washed round the corner so ordered.Milkshakes were fine although no Banana in stock, but sadly having paid 80p extra for cream and marshmallows I discovered at the bottom of the cream that there were no marshmallows! My embarrassed wife went to query this and they said 'oh we couldn't find any. ill give you a small refund' this never appeared.We also had pancakes although they didn't have any lemon and sugar. They were very average as they were pre-cooked.

I have visited the Retro Cafe many times. Staff friendly, helpful, smiley and knowledgable. Food we presented, price well and very tasty.Overall a little gem in a highstreet.

Making the perfect cappuccino is not easy. The right amount of throth, not too strong, the right temperature, all must be just right. Today the Retro Cafe achieved that which in my opinion is a rare event. I did not eat, so I cannot rate that but they have a fair range of snacks available. I'll be back to see if I get another perfect cappuccino soon. The staff were very friendly and the table was clean. No loud music which was great, so a nice peaceful break. Only 4 star due to not eating, but a perfect coffee.

Good quality food from fry ups to sandwiches, lovely coffee and a select of annuals from the 70's and 80's

decent coffee but the food is decidedly average; tinned soup, cheap bread, generally bland and overpriced! my partner had a bacon sandwich and the bacon was very over cooked. this place looks very appealing from the outside but sadly doesn't seem to fulfill its potential.

Very friendly & efficient coffee shop offering well filled paninis, wraps, sandwiches & lovely scrummy cakes.
