After a busy day cleaning and painting, I really wanted someone to wait on us, so we decided on this Restaurant; no steps to climb, right on the main road, with good access. Toilets also on ground floor, always clean, a very friendly local café, with locals popping in every day, places outside for smoking, good access for wheelchair users, a person can do their shopping, go in and have a meal, The the food is so good you could go there every day and eat

I walked past on a Friday afternoon and they were advertising a Lamb Roast Dinner for £5.70, it was just after 2pm so asked are you still serving, Yes was the answer so I ordered, it took less than ten minutes to arrive. Two large slices of meat with plenty of potatoes, carrots, peas, cabbage and a Yorkshire pud, all served in a pool of gravy. One couldn't have asked for more, the gravy was exceptional. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and would recommend dining in Restaurant Europa.

Looks a little faded but plenty of locals who frequent it. Good menu with all the items that you would expect on a traditional menu. I went on a Sunday for lunch and I ordered a lamb Sunday lunch. Exactly what I got and quickly. A generous helping and plenty of fresh vegetables. Carrots, cabbage with roast and boiled potatoes. Plenty of good quality meat and best of all real gravy. A very competent cafe with good prices and cheerful staff.

Waitress forgot about our order twice, came with one of our meals and then took an entire 20 minutes for the other. To top it off the food was horrific. You can go to much nicer places in Tredegar who don't forget about your food and actually know how to cook.

Google and signs on the outside said "Open 7 days a week" but it was closed mid afternoon on a Sunday. Wouldn't have set out walking if we'd known it would be closed

Looked nice and clean though the hygiene rating on door was worrying. There was no one in there at all at lunch time, so after lady on the bar checked with the chef we could have food, we were seated in the upper area, overlooking the pool table that had been laid out with food for a funeral later. The pub has lots of tvs etc so its maybe suited to evening / weekend time sports fans. The outside area looked great for children during the summer months and is probably popular. The food... fish....well a very small fillet which was coated in some sort of soggy batter, presented broken in half; chip portion very poor and even the peas were overcooked, certainly not worth the price. This fish was like the cheapest basa fillet sold in a packet at Iceland or similar. Veg balti was an odd one! More potato than veg ( 1, yes 1 pea, couple bits carrot and no onion at all) a very small portion and micro rice; curry was more like tinned soup with half a teaspoon of mild curry powder. The tea cup was only 2/3 full and came with uht milk, which is not good in a pub. Beer was ok. I think for the price they need to up their quality and portions, or just not do lunch at all. Im sure its a great place to drink with the locals, but its not a place to eat. Did see that on match days you get a burger and a pint for the price we paid for a meagre lunch without drinks🤷♂️

Ordered the silion steak along with three orthers, second worst steak I've ever had. All steaks were at least 3/4 fat. Peppercorn sauce wasn't good either. Left there hungry and had toast when I got home...
