Restaurant at One Whitehall Place in City of London, Westminster

Had the 3 course menu. The food was good. Large potions, especially the Asian salmon main. Service by Drisya was super friendly and always kept our glasses filled. Good value and would visit again.

ロンドンに住む友人の招待でこちらでディナーコースを頂きました。ラムを含む焼き肉の盛合せを頂きましたが普通に美味しかったです。味はそこそこでしたが、ダイニングホールは社交場らしい、落ち着いた雰囲気と豪華さを兼ね備えた雰囲気でした。接待にとても良いレストランだと思います。

The second members' club I've visited - slightly disappointing but an enjoyable experience all round. Building is lovely as are the staff. Food was good, but could have been better.

Visité The Liberal Club con un colega que es miembro, para nuestros trabajos Xmas Lunch. Nunca he estado aquí antes. El edificio y la arquitectura, etc. fue impresionante con mucha historia que fue increíble de ver. El personal fue muy servicial y discreto. La comida fue desafortunadamente decepcionante por el precio que se pagó. Sin embargo, no pagué, no habría sido barato. Tuve un entrante de salmón ahumado que debería haber tenido algún tipo de sabor pero estaba ahumado, no más sabor según el menú, bastante agradable pero nada especial. Para Mains, estaba esperando un pecho de faisán. El pecho todavía tenía huesos que masticaba, no realmente agradable. La carne estaba cocida en exceso con una salsa de frutas que debería haber sido suave y llena de sabor en lugar de trozos de bayas oscuras de algún tipo que simplemente no le hicieron justicia tristemente. Y las zanahorias y las coles de Bruselas estaban demasiado cocidas demasiado suaves. El postre era la panacotta de castañas con chocolate y otros trozos. No había indicios de castañas que pudiera probar, y me encantan las castañas. Por la experiencia fue bueno haber ido. Si solo fuera por la comida, no volvería a comer ya que podría ser mucho mejor. Lo siento.

Mi primera impresión fue lo limpias que estaban las instalaciones de Frankie y Benny. Me saludaron en la puerta y me llevaron a mi mesa que elegí. Me contactaron para mi pedido en 5 minutos. El servicio es muy eficiente, amable. Mi comida fue sublime definitivamente comeré allí de nuevo

I came for lunch here with friends who are members of the Hove Club, who have a reciprocal arrangement with The National Liberal Club. We had a really good lunch, reasonably priced (though we went overboard on the wines and extras). The starter of potted brown shrimps was good and my main course of the club grill was more than I could eat, and delicious. Being Shrove Tuesday, we had to have pancakes, also good.

I enjoyed the food, especially the deserts. The service is wonderful . The Restaurant is very clean and well maintained. Thank you

Wow what an incredible building! Massive sweeping staircase leading up to the Liberal Club - the formal HQ of the Lib Dems and up to the top floor with stunning Victorian decor. The Library is a great space for receptions and there are 3 big dining rooms. Ideal for big functional. Superb views and a great location.

Great place to eat for a quiet well served excellent meal. in pre Christmas rush of London. Staff friendly but professional and helpful . Nothing too much trouble . Very reasonably priced for quality of food . Will return to try in Summer to sit outside by the river.

I have eaten here at least a dozen times over the last few years. I love the location, the food and the general ambience. The service is always pleasant but can be a bit hit and miss regarding 'slickness'.

Attended an excellent evening of entertainment, celebrating, amongst other "things" Julian Fellowes becoming a Vice President of the Trollope Society. He also received an unexpected gift for Emma too: a Dr Thorne clutch bag made by my friend Kate of bagsymefirst.com They both loved it. Dinner was a Barchester supper & indeed worthy of that name. Tasty & interesting accompanied by red & white wine. A good time was had by all.

Visited this as part of an evening presentation in the River room. Good buffet food, drinks sensibly priced

A delicious selection of sandwiches, cakes and tea, plus scones, and as many top ups as you want. A perfect, luxurious rest after a heavy morning shopping!

Tivemos um almoço legal, acho que e bom valor para Londres. Comida era boa com muitos pratos leves de sabor. Bastante justo selecção de vinhos.

Took me a while to find this on trip advisor so I could leave my review. Glad I noticed the previous comment about it being formerly known under a different name. Checked the pics on SPQR(old name) and yep, it appears to be the same place. Whitehall cafe. Terrible service. Rude behind the backs of customers. Seriously overpriced. Food tasted a bit iffy. And clearly they don't even wash their lettuce as mine came with a little slug on it. How disgusting. They knocked my meal off the bill and gave 15% discount but we still had to pay rest of the bill along with 12.5% service charge. Again we were enticed in by the cakes. Knew we shouldn't have been fooled. Didn't even have one in the end as the slug put us off so badly. I would never go there again. So many other nicer places that cost much less and give better food and service.

Well it seems this restaurant has a long-standing reputation for changing their name when their negative reviews become overwhelming and this has happened again. If you look up "SPQR London" in Trip Advisor you will see the reviews and none are remotely positive! I was enticed by the delicious looking cakes in the window and they are the only things worth experiencing at The Whitehall. Their coffee is horrible - McDonalds do better coffee! My coffee was almost the colour of milk. When I mentioned to the owner/manager that his barista wasn't too good at making coffee, he argued with me in front of a roon full of customers, then proceeded to make jokes about me and the situation very loudly, to all of his staff. Unprofessional, disgraceful and unacceptable. I hope he goes bankrupt. He was sarcastic to me and kept saying "darling" in a very negative way - could he be more condascending?? He doesn't care about his customers, he's only interested in your money.

Realmente, a qualidade do comida neste restaurante surpreende. Além disso, os pratos são grandes e fartos.Ótima opção para comer a verdadeira comida italiana. Recomendo.

Had a lunch there and overall we all thought was good value for London. Food was nice light fare with plenty of taste. Pretty fair wine selection, not bad value really, but £5 for a bottle of water is a bit steep to a Northerner!

We needed to eat but did not want to spend a lot of money or time. We randomly walked in here and it was exactly what we wanted. I got a baked potato loaded with turkey, bacon and mayo. My friend got a huge hot dog that was also loaded. My wife got some tasty chips (fries).I cannot give this place a 5/5 because the food was OK, but I highly recommend this place for a quick, fairly inexpensive place to eat if that is what you want.
