Astonishingly overpriced selection of pre-packaged food items you could easily pick up in Waitrose. Seems like a great idea run as a cynical grift. No chefs, nothing of note on the menu, what exactly am I paying for? A shame really, nice idea, nice setting.

Had an excellent platter of cheese and charcuterie for four with an additional pork pie plus some very nice wine. Did not think we would finish the platter as it was huge but it was all too nice to leave!

Renoufs Wimborne is a wonderful, relaxed, cosy haven, to enjoy fantastic wine and food, whilst catching up with family and friends. Sally, is incredibly knowledgeable and guides patrons through the delights on menu that change daily (if not more frequently). Sally is a joy and makes every guest feel special. The food, wine, service and ambience all combine to make Renoufs Wimborne a very special place indeed!

Our 2nd time here and came because we are having Renoufs at home prior to my daughters' wedding in November so wanted to show her the type of food it is.It was very good but wished we had chosen the board with the hot camembert so my fault . The pate looked as though it had come from a supermarket though so I think that could be improved on .

Think the food suits a lunch time , but not an evening meal, the staff were very friendly, it's expensive for the food you get

What a fantastic find! We had a party platter of cheese and meats and it was delicious … great wine too. The best thing about the experience was the atmosphere in the restaurant/bar, totally relaxing, friendly and a holiday vibe on a school night too! The manager was fantastic, the best customer service. She provided recommendations when asked and was genuinely interested in the customers - refreshing! Will definitely be back. Loved it, thank you.

Dined here before a show at the Tivoli. Very enjoyable experience choosing cheeses and meats for our very generous sharing platter. Wine was good too and very reasonably priced. Nice ambiance and pleasant efficient staff.

First time at Renoufs, Wimborne and had a fabulous evening celebrating with family. Lovely cosy decor, fabulous food and really great service. Josh explained everything, the different cheeses and meats and made good recommendations for wine which we really enjoyed. We came here for an evening meal out and it was lovely. This was mostly because of the very friendly attentive manager who created a lovely atmosphere for us. (We didn't catch her name but we went Wednesday 15th May evening). We unfortunately had to be moved from our table due to other customers (not Renoufs fault) and the manager gave us a free flight of port as an apology which was so lovely! The food was exceptional. We chose recommended cheese which were delicious and the meats were full of flavour. Very nice cosy atmosphere with no feeling of time pressure or anything else. Definitely will be back :)

Absolutely great. Went yesterday on my birthday and discovered it was way more than a cheese and wine bar. The platter was huge for four and so much variety. Lovely fresh bread, huge olives and cheeses I’d never heard of, plus loads of different meats too. My maiden name is Renouf which made it especially enjoyable. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Excellent range of antipasto, cheese and particularly good hot chorizo.

An absolute gem of a place to eat and drink and have a fabulous evening. The young man behind the bar and who welcomed us and explained the menu was an absolute delight. You have a very good attentive work team in front of house and behind the scene. Thank you.

Had an amazing charcuterie board here, so much cheese! Service was really good. It is expensive but it's worth it if you love cheese and wine.

Very disappointed with menu. No pork pie which I assume was the main part of the tray of food. When my nephew went up to ask for more crackers as there were 7 of us and only a handful of crackers, he heard one of the waiters say watch that lot. Meaning us. I'm not happy at all with the service as the last time I went there the food and service was excellent. I'm afraid we won't be recommending anyone to go there for a long while.

Also known as The Taphouse Wimborne. Great beer selection and nuts sold loose, with great sounds for background. What more could you want? A much more pleasurable experience than the ubiquitous Wetherspoon opposite.

A most enjoyable experience Never been before but definitely on the list to revisit. It looks deceptive. From the outside it looks small but it goes back quite a way inside. Friendly greeting on arrival. The young lad who looked after us and giving guidance on what we could choose was great for us novices. There were 8 of us and we felt the 6 selection we chose was enough but topped off with a little bread. A comment from one or two in the group was as we were a table of 8. The platter board could have been in two. As they could not reach all the way down the table and reliant on others passing down to them Also, an option go have a bottle of wine with the platter included in the price? Possibly cushions for the high seats too. But overall Great 👍

The thing with a place that just serves food on a big board is the ingredient standard and presentation has to be spot on... and here it really is. Great variety of meat and cheese, lovely wine, good accompaniments. All obviously not bought to a price. Couple of notes for first-timers like me. Not complaints, just notes: 1. If you order a board (pic below is the 4 person) you get a lot of meat and cheese and not much bread, olives etc. If we go again (we will) we'll order a smaller board and more side dishes, especially bread. 2. When booking, you get a choice between high and low tables. High is like sitting at a bar on a stool, low = normal table. Whatever floats your boat. So in summary: I loved it and will return, and I think with experience will get more out of it.

The food was great! The service was fantastic and friendly! You couldn’t beat the atmosphere! If you love cheese & wine you have gone to the right place! But if you don’t like wine they serve various other drinks! I would highly recommend and we will come back!

Not our first visit and we were not disappointed. Chose the 'ultimate' board and had the pork pie as an extra. Struggled to finish and enjoyed every mouthful. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the large wine menu. Vegan option available so everyone is catered for. Treat yourself to an enjoyable experience. We'll be back.

I have a friend that visits yearly and for the last 3 years we have made it a tradition to visit a Renoufs. This year was Wimborne and we were quite disappointed. We felt very rushed to order and our food came out some time before our drinks. The usual experience here is we enjoy our drinks and then food comes. What really left a bad taste was that we were charged £1.20 per portion of crackers!!!! We got FOUR crackers!!!! FOUR!?!? We have NEVER been charged extra for thi before. Couldn’t believe it. Think we will find alternative cheese & wine places next time.

Perfect spot for drinks and eats pre Small Faker’s gig at the splendid Tivoli Theatre, Wimborne, which is almost next door. The Ultimate Board for 2 was beautifully presented, varied and tasty charcuterie, and washed down with nice dry Prosecco and Sicilian Pinot Grigio followed by pretty and delicious mini cheesecakes. Charming and relaxed atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff.

Enjoyable evening with fine wine and a charcuterie box to match. What more could you ask for the cheeses and cold meat change regularly but I was caught out as the wine list had changed. No worries there as there are plenty to choose from covering all budgets and if you have a question ask the fantastic staff.

As always renoufs was a lovely evening. Meal came out looking stunning and tasted even better! Great meal, very satisfied and great quality. Great choice of wine, and attentive waiter knew what to suggest. It was our anniversary meal and we had a superb evening.

This was our first experience of Renoufs, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We were a group of 6 and had the sharing platter. We had one red and one white 'top-end' wine flight tasters (for the experience) and then some of the lower priced bottles of wine, which were still very enjoyable. The restaurant was very busy for mid-January, and there was a party buzz going on, which was great and added to our thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Had a fabulous family lunch to celebrate a Birthday at Renoufs. We’ve been a few times before but it was a first for Dad, who is notoriously difficult to please. Needless to say he loved it as much as the rest of the family do! Lovely atmosphere, wonderful, knowledgeable, warm and friendly staff, fabulous wine and beautiful food that never disappoints. So much more sociable than your average dining experience with lots of conversations about each meat and cheese. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. We will be back (with Dad).

My birthday meal out. Waiter had incredible knowledge of the menu answering our questions with ease and good humour. The food was fantastic the portion sizes were just right. The variety of drinks were exceptional we would highly recommend the tasting flights. We will most definitely return.

Another of our many visits to this fabulous restaurant. A Christmas treat for family and a close friend who doesn't live locally but loves Renoufs. Yet again you do not disappoint. We got the last bottle of my favourite red wine available for the season, and Tom was so helpful in advising of an excellent red wine as an alternative. Our board was fabulous as always. So many choices and so many wonderful flavours. The staff are always so knowledgeable and helpful on all aspects of what is on offer and are always more than happy to take the time to talk you through what's on the board you've ordered. Thanks again for yet another wonderful dining experience.

No negatives at all here..good range of wine and sharing boards of cheese and charcuterie , simple and informal with extremely charming and helpful staff. Buzzy lively atmosphere. You can choose what goes on the various types of sharing boards - large range of cheeses and add-ons but we just asked the man to give us a broad selection .. which was superb. All in all , a very cheering and uplifting experience.

My mum and I had a fantastic meal at Renoufs in Wimborne tonight, thank you for the wonderful service and beautifully presented delicious food and drink. So hard to choose favourites, but if I had to, I’d say the Care red wine and the murcia al vino goats cheese. Can’t wait to come back again! 😀

Very knowledgeable staff- Tom was great. He was able to recommend us wines that suited our tastes. He also introduced us to wines we hadn’t tried before. We ended up having some nibbles too which were very well priced and tasty. We will definitely be back.

Tried to book a table . Could not book on line due to a selection issue on on line. We happened to pass& my wife went into the Wimborne restaurant and what a performance on their computer system to book . Please cancel my booking for this Friday. Sorry but we cancelled due to the lengthy booking system that you have in place , that is all . You kindly did accommodate the table that we had chosen ,but was told we had to leave a email to confirm the booking !!!! We was in the restaurant ? It was nothing to do with the service ,food, etc. We will try again sometime .

We owe everything to Renoufs, Wimborne. We had our first date here (July 2020) it’s where my partner proposed (July 2021) and we returned 2 days after we got married as our first meal out as husband and wife 🤍 (7/6/2023). Thank you all for your amazing service, friendliness and of course, amazing food and drink! Who knows what our next milestone will be, but we’ll be back for it! X

A great evening out. The presentation is impressive and the food is fresh, a huge range, quality wines and brilliant service. Definitely recommend the sharing boards. Super relaxing vibe perfect for any occasion. Definitely worth a try if you haven’t already.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch here on Saturday for my mother in laws birthday. Lovely venue and location and able to sit outside under parasols. One suggestion would be for the venue to label the cheeses when they deliver them on the platter, perhaps with a small description. We did get told what they were when the platter was delivered but when you have 12 cheeses on the platternots very hard to remember which is which and would be good to know a little about each cheese! Very delicious :)

The staff, the food, the wine, the atmosphere - everything - was amazing! And great value for money.

Great wine and the food was excellent even catered for my wheat allergy with both bread and crackers being wheat free. Only one complaint was that although we were going to leave a tip I don't like the fact that they add it automatically should be given a choice.

Warm and welcoming, perfect place for a leisurely chat over the excellent selection of cheese and charcuterie. The flights of wine are an excellent opportunity to try something different from your normal selection as well. We will be visiting again soon.

Love this place can't believe it's taken us this long to find such a great place. Service is great, food is amazing, staff are very friendly and welcoming.

When we got there at 6pm, we were told it would be table service for drinks but they would be too busy to keep going backwards and forward to serve us. We were a party of 10. This was our Christmas party, so good start! The food was lovely but we were there more than 30 minutes before we were served. We were asked at about 7.45 if we were finished, we were all still picking and there was plenty of food still on the boards. We asked if they would leave them. I rounded up the money and went to pay. The 'optional gratuity' was on the bill. Renoufs, people pay a gratuity if they are happy with the service - not because you place it there. It is embarrassing to ask for it to be removed. When I returned to the table we were being rushed off the table. One of the £89.90 boards was removed whilst one of our party was still eating. Rather than a happy, relaxed reward for a hard couple of years in health care, it felt rushed and as if we had to work around what suits the staff.

Great evening out .. lovely place and great food (I love cheese and wine) .. the wine tasters are a brilliant idea .. if I had one quibble it was the automatic addition of a 10% "voluntary" tip on to the bill .. I would have given a tip anyway, but it should be my choice..not an included add on item onto the bill .. .. if not for that it would have been 5 stars

We went here to celebrate a birthday. We were 3 people and got the Party board. This was plenty of food for the 3 of us. We actually could not eat it all. The price was reasonable, the presentation was really good. The service was really good as well, our waitress was very nice and helpful. The atmosphere was perfect, soft lights and wood decor. I don't really have any complaint. Also booking the table was easy and relatively fast. Well done

Delivered as it promised. 6 of us had the platter for 6 and a selection of beers, largers and wines. Staff were knowledgeable about their products and friendly and efficient and everything was great. It's quite a filling platter so if you want some vegetables with your cheese wine meat etc there's just some leaves and baby 🍅 as dressing, consider this when ordering.

We had the loveliest evening. The cheeses were fantastic, lovely wine and so much choice to boot. Great meat selection and the pork pie will change your life. You have to go for the pork pie! The atmosphere and ambience was spot on, and the service was excellent. Will definitely be back very soon, thank you!

Eat in the evening on Monday night , the lovely member of staff (Holly) who served us in made us instantly feel welcome and comfortable and more than happy to answer any questions about the drinks or food and wrap up what we couldn’t quite manage. Such a wide variety of cheeses , meats and wines to suit anyone , as well a varied selection of add on to add to your board. The presentation of the boards are of such a high quality and the place has such a warm and cosy feel will be returning again in a heart beat. Cannot thank the team enough for a lovely evening.

Another great visit to this excellent restaurant. As ever the food and drink was superb and the service from Charlie and Gemma was exemplary. If you want something different from a normal restaurant then choose this place .
