Renaldos in South Ayrshire

I got mcallums crunch and mango sorbet. The mcallums was nice nothing special but the mango sorbet was horrible. Tasted like soap. More creamy than most sorbets. Disappointed

Unbelievable ice cream. My favourites are Winnie the Pooh, old fashioned vanilla, and McCallum crunch. My husband loves Coconut, Rum and raisin and Milky Bar. Also they can make you up boxes of handmade chocolate. It also has Rocky Road etc with lovely coffee. Finally if you are going abroad it's a good idea to get Macaroon bars, Edinburgh rock and coconut and fudge slice !!!!

Amazing trip to this Gelato Restaurant, staff so friendly, everything is made inhouse, I’ve never tasted gelato 🍧 like this, so many amazing flavours., the cannoli desert is melt in your mouth. , will define back.

Best ice cream in Ayr. Massive range of favours . Ice cream made on the premises daily. Not only can you purchase ice cream but also coffee and cake. Also a range of luxury chocolates also make on the premises by hand. Our visits to Ayr would be incomplete without a visit.

I love this place! I go here pretty much every time I visit Ayr! This time they had an Easter flavour... Creme Egg and it was delish! Would also recommend the Irn Bru flavour too!

Was in Ayr and decided to go somewhere to grab a coffee.During the summer I had been visiting a local gym and had walked passed Renaldos a few times, but never actually visited, and being in the area I thought I would try it out.Lovely American diner style vibe to it as soon as you walk through the door.Staff are really friendly and their prices are really good! Just over £3 for a latte and bray bake.Will almost certainly be back again next time I am in Ayr.

Truely the best ice cream I have had for many years. Two of us sitting outside, in the sun, making the choice was the most difficult thing. They all looked gorgeous. Highly recommended

From the moment you walk in you know this is going to nice. The decor, the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly staff who give you all the time in the world to choose from the great selection on offer makes this place the perfect parlour.The ice cream was delicious. My choice was a double cone with 4 large scoops of 4 different flavours. The other choice was an absolutely superb freshly made belgium waffle with nutella and vanilla ice cream, the best!!!Don't forget your favourite sweeties on the way out too

Me and my family went to eat here and were disgusted by the poor hygiene the floors were covered in piddles of sticky stuff and the tables were covered in goo that looked like it had been there for years, i ordered a margarita pizza to find green crunchy stuff (not any vegetable i ever seen) on the edges. The chairs hadn’t been cleaned and it was just in general disgusting. The staff weren’t too bad but they really need to get the place cleaned

This is always good for an ice cream, not entirely sure about the portion size and cost but the ice creams good.

I pop in here every couple of weeks for a large tub of their delicious ice cream (more in the summer when the weather is hot) Lots of flavours to choose from as well as lovely sweets etc

Renaldo's Old Fashioned Italian Ices was recommended to us by a friend and we decided to find this establishment whilst staying in Ayr this week, but unfortunately we weren't too impressed with their flavours, my wife went for vanilla cone and reckoned that it was far too sweet and I had a chocolate cone and struggled with the depth of its flavour. The shop was busy for that time of the evening and we saw people buying large tubs of vanilla ice cream to take home which we found hard to believe at the prices they were charging.

We popped in last week and I love ice cream and quite fussy and this was delicious. It was a tad soft but it was hot and they were busy. Great range of flavours and I loved my tablet variety. Great traditional ice cream shop with homemade chocolates and friendly staff. Would visit again.

After a walk along the beach we were looking for morning coffee. We found this and I changed my mind and had an ice cream which was good. My wife stayed with the coffee but picked up a coffee and cake deal.

The ice cream was very good and very reasonably priced- however the staff were very unpleasant, and downright RUDE. Snatching the money out my hand, they flung the cone at me. They were very very unkind. The service was shocking. They all looked so uninterested - WILL NEVER BE BACK. GO TO VANILLA JOES.

We had ice cream in this little shop - my son ordered the Irn Bru ice cream - and it was fantastic. I had the vanilla and my daughter and wife had the coconut. We all thought it was the best ever.

Always have ice cream from here wehn I visit Ayr. It is always consistently good. Lots of flavours to choose from that make it very difficult to choose. Had orange choc chip and Mccallans crunch, both delicious.

The lightest batter and the best fish plus the most crunchy and light delicious chips! The sun was out and the view of Arran spectacular but the fish and chips still stole the scene. When visiting the area I always try and pop into Renaldos for an ice cream cone treat. When you walk in the door you are faced with lots of lovely treats including fresh chocolates in a fridge and a fridge of tempting bright coloured ice cream of varying flavours - always a difficult choice. No sit down cafe, take away option only!A must if you are in Ayr. Located near the bus station on the roundabout.

Looks like a traditional Italian cafe should. Good quality Italian ice cream if somewhat odd flavours.

If you love ice cream there can be no better place in the world than Renaldo's. To taste ice cream that actually tastes like the flavour it is meant to be is hard to find but this is THE place. The wild cherry is according to my Husband the best ice cream he has ever had, the apple pie really does taste like apple pie. None of Renaldo's ice cream has that horrible artificial, salty taste you get with the overpriced tubs from the supermarket. I am not a great ice cream fan but i could have one from here everyday and be more than happy. The down side with this place is the choice, its huge ! takes ages to make up your mind. The shop also sells hand made chocolates and cakes (Oreo cake looks divine) that are very well priced and look fantastic. The shop also hard freeze the ice cream in tubs if you are travelling far. It also sells Dairy free ice cream. Seriously don't miss this great place but be aware it will spoil all other ice cream for you as this can not be beaten.

popped in for an ice cream and was pleasantly surprised. the cafe doesn't look much from the outside but inside it was bright and clean and really well stocked. everything from slush and ice blasts, amazing flavour ice creams (try the irn bru or tablet), mr whippy, coffees, tea, cakes, burgers, nachos, generous portions and a great price. so good we're popping back tomorrow for breakfast!

Best ice-cream in Ayr possibly in Scotland. Superb customer service along with a very tasty wide selection of ice-creams constantly adding to their menu. The old fashioned vanilla is much better than standard vanilla with a great taste. Milkshakes are also worth purchasing. Perfect location on the busy beach front of Ayr especially in summer where the line often goes on to the street. Worth the visit.

The best ice cream in Ayrshire. 97% fat free the owners were very friendly and all the flavours were made fresh in store to an old Italian recipe! Linda also makes the Italian style chocolates which are FAR too good had to stop myself from eating so many!Recommended and try the tablet (also made fresh in store)

My three kids fancied an ice cream , eldest had Pokemon and mint flavours, daughter had mallow magic and mango passion and youngest had bubblegum and marshmallow. Super selection of ice cream . Also bought cheesecake and chocolate brownies. Served by very friendly guy. We didn't make it back to the car before all cones were finished! All agreed that it was fab ice cream!

Had the nutella icecream in a tub.value for money and scrumptious. Icecream cones looked good too but I was sharing with my wee boy.

Popped in for an ice-cream as it was such a nice day and would be nice to have whilst walking along the beach. Lovely little establishment that was very busy and clearly very popular. A very large selection of ice cream flavours. Had a scoop of banana ice cream and nutella too in a double cone. Decent sized portion and the ice cream was delicious!!! It can be difficult to get a good banana ice cream without it tasting artificial but it was very good indeed, and so was the nutella. Better than Nardini's in Largs. Would recommend. Cold drinks are also for sale along with an array of rock, chocolates and sweets.

properly made icecream, tremendous variety, staff could not be more helpful, the equal of any Italian icecream I have eaten, an excellent excuse to forget the calories, took me back to my childhood, a very big thank you and well done to a lovely place.

Standing outside at 8,45 your time table said 9pm and your closed what's the point of advertising 9pm if you can't be bothered staying open till that time

Brought my wife and 2 children here for lunch. After waiting a while to get our food you would have thought it would have been cooked. Think again, my pulled pork burger was twice as thick as my 7 year old sons, mine was cooked through, his was raw. I don't mind a bit of pink in my meat but this was red. Will not be back, if they don't check what they are sending out for the kids this place should not be serving children's meals. What if it was chicken? Oh and the pulled pork on my burger was tough as old boots, no way was is cooked for the stated 10 hours.

Renaldo's is very well known locally for they ice cream and handmade chocolates. The have one of the best choices of flavours that I have ever seen and they are all without exception delicious, they are also very low in fat!

This is a proper ice cream parlour selling proper ice cream and a whole range of flavours so there really is something for everyone! Doesn't mater what the weather is like outside, ice cream on a wet January Sunday still brings a smile!

Great ice cream parlour with a wide array of different home made ice creams, not cheap at £1.50 for a single scoop tub, but worth a visit with the family. Queued out the door all day long in the summer and still got its regular flow of locals in the winter.

Great ice cream, I love the vanilla but my grandchildren love many of the flavoured ones. Great range of sweets also available, the tablet deserves a special mention, you can even have it as an ice cream flavour. Well worth a visit your kids will love it and so will you.

Second generation (Italian) family business. The Ice cream can only be described as EXCEPTIONAL with around 20 flavours on offer - but the old facioned VANILA is hard to beat. Shop is moder and very very well stocked with an extensive range of quality confectionary - as well as having something for the kids. It's easy to see why it is regularly queued round and round and out in to the street. - but the ice cream IS worth the wait.

Nice family run ice cream shop. Please please try their vanilla ice cream...In my opinion its the best iv ever taste. Lots of souvenir boiled sweets or boxed toffee, fudge etc. And a chocolatier and a coffee counter (not sampled). Several bar stools line the windows but we carry out as there's public benches outside. On nice days there is always a queue but its worth the wait as there is always plenty of staff.
