Welcoming coffee shop. Lots of soft drinks. Cheese and potato pie amazing. A local speciality. Similar to Anglesey Eggs without eggs. Wow . Perfect. All on one level apart from one to the toilet A must visit

Varied menu with gluten free options. Bacon bagel is really good as is the coffee. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.

This coffee shop has an interesting menu with some unusual savoury items, along with a wide range of standard and gluten free cakes. The staff are helpful and friendly, the customer base appears to be primarily local and groups of friends. This establishment makes a point of informing you that they do not have wifi, 'pretend it is 1995 and talk to the people around you'.

Popped in by chance as I saw they have a gluten free menu. Has a Gluten Free Toastie - fantastic choice of food, lovely ladies and the coleslaw is fantastic (I'm fussy with coleslaw!) Also really lovely coffee. Will return

Chocolate milkshake weak and watery and tasteless. They were not interested. Cheese and Potato pie superb. Toilet a bit cramped. Close to bus station.

What a friendly cafe...not only staff but also customers. Delicious coffee and an enormous jacket potato with cheese and beans very reasonably priced. Will be my first s top when I visit this town again

Hi, I have visited this venue on many occasions with my two young boys, the staff are very friendly extremely helpful and the food is of a very high standard, there is a very friendly atmosphere there which is great for young children. Refresh are an outstanding pillar within the community contributing in helping families who have children with disabilities providing a relaxed environment to socialise with other families. I highly recommend refresh coffee shop.

Lovely cafe with such friendly staff, nothing is ever to much trouble for them, they’re always happy to help in anyway they can and always make an effort to stop and chat to you. Definitely recommend refresh whether it’s for food or a quick coffee break. Always a warm welcome, I love going there and look forward to my Saturday mornings.

This is the most friendly cafe I have been to, and after reading the other reviews I totally 100% disagree with what was said the staff are not aggressive and has a mother to a disabled daughter I have never felt discriminated there we have the best of welcome,my daughter loves going and the events the cafe puts on for people with disabilities is astonishing. keep up the good work xx

Food is to die for, staff are amazing with us especially with my disabled son, plenty to choose from for food and drink. couldn't ask for a nicer welcoming atmosphere

My first time in this quite town , and I must say I was not disappointed by the quality of food and drink ! Not only was the prices exceptionally cheap for the standard, but the atmosphere was relaxed and cozy . I am a little bit of a clean freak ,but Refresh was spotless . The Burger I ordered was well presented and most importantly tasted delicious ! The young lady serving was lovely and all staff seemed bubbly and attentive ! One day I shall return to taste some of those amazing looking cakes . Great find !!

Lovely cup of real coffee with a toasted sandwich and a big comfy seat. Open from 9am until 4.30pm and busy on a friday.

Probably one of the nicest coffee shops I've had the pleasure of visiting plenty of seats and great for a catch up with friends and I've got to admit my hot chocolate was incredible 😊 and the staff were so friendly highly recommend 😊

Si en Tredegar y buscando sustento probar actualizar. Mejor Club Sandwich que he tenido durante un tiempo muy largo. Realmente disfrutamos de sus nietos salchichas y patatas fritas. Limpio, agradable y a un precio razonable.

Went to this lovely cafe a few days ago with some friends, the decor was lovely and reminded me of some of the high end chains in Cardiff, lovely coffee, just at the right temperature and beautiful cake followed by a friendly service , will be here again soon ! :D

i went to the coffee shop today for a meeting and wow the 8 oz 100% beef burgers with chips is absolutely amazing 10 out of 10 well done all the staff are great

My sister and I booked to take your mother here for afternoon tea and my goodness we wasn't disappointed! It was fab! All home cooked cakes and pastries which were amazing, excellent value for money and staff were very helpful and friendly, enjoyed it so much we have booked to return for your mother's birthday very soon.

Whilst I was at Tredegar, I visited The Refresh Coffee Shop. It is very clean as it should be.We had a latte and a toasted teacake, which was toasted just right. The latte was just as I like it. Overall it was a very pleasant half hour.

Had an early afternoon tea for Mothers Day and didn't know what to expect. The four of us were presented with an abundance of food, very fresh and all home made. What a treat and such good value. Good service too. Well done Refresh

I have visited this place approx 5 times in last two years and everything there been a issue, recently, I ordered a flat white which was nothing like a flat white, but was something, the coffee in this place, is ment to be made fresh and to a standard of a proper fresh made coffee, this means not burning the bean or not over heating the milk. In my opinion they are not burristists, and I know my coffee as I have worked in this industry for many years. After the many times I have visited I will not be re-visiting again. This place is okay if you want a quick not standard milky coffee (as all the other café's do) but not if you require a decent fresh ground coffee.

I was really looking forward to trying this place out as I was longing for a proper Capuccino . (All cafe owners please note, a milky coffee with a sprinkle of drinking chocolate powder does not a Capuccino make). The first few attempts I found it closed. It appears their closing time is variable, mid afternoon and they are gone, but eventually I found them open and a fairly decent was had. But my second visit was a disaster! My son ordered a breakfast, scrambled eggs and beans both cooked in the microwave, and bacon and sausage over-done in a George foreman type grill, he said it was dreadful. And he only finished it because he was hungry. My 'beef' baguett was a joke; it had been cut in half which is just as well as the slice of beef was so transparent I could have read the paper through it and in order to taste it I actually took the sliver out of one half of the bread and added it to the sliver in the other half, as for the 'side salad, a tiny china bowl contained two shreds of lettuce, about a quarter of a tomato, and a slice of cucumber, a second tiny dish held about a dessert spoon of coleslaw, and a third held a teaspoon of horseradish!Maybe if they should spend less on trying to appear elegant, and more on decent portions. As for the service, well our complete order took almost 25 minutes!

Refresh Coffee Shop celebrates it's First Birthday under the ownership of Sharon. The shop has gone from strength to strength since she took over with its choice of food and drink increasing in both choice and quality. The atmosphere is much improved after the rebuilding of the front and the change of windows to double glazing. The humour of Sharon, Gail and Angie is infectious and the service is superb, the Coffee Shop is usually busy but this doesn't detract from either quality of food or service. Well Done Sharon for providing the best Coffee Shop in Tredegar.

I have been visiting refresh over the last few years regularly, The staff have a high level of customer service along side being very friendly. I have never been disappointed with the food, always tasting as good as it looks! Many of times I have walked to town simply for a coffee or hot chocolate, I would recommend visiting this coffee shop to anyone.

I arrived at Refresh at 1.15 with an elderly friend in a wheel chair. Using her crutches, we negotiated the doorway and were watched by the staff as we sat at a table and parked the wheel chair. A waitress wiped our table. As I went to get the menu, someone from behind the counter said "We stop serving food at 2 on a Thursday". I said we just wanted a sandwich - and she said no.As we then negotiated our way out of the building, imagine how we felt when hot toasties etc were served to people at the next table.I get the closing at 2 - but this was 1.15....... And why not have the courtesy to say so before we struggled to get inside......Just rude and insensitive and definately a place to pass by.

I have been to Refresh a number of times and have got to know the owner Sharon. There is always a good atmosphere in the place and a buzz about it. Whether i am grabbing a take away coffee, drinking in (or outside when the sun is out) or grabbing a bite for lunch it is a great place to go. The staff always smile even when it is raining outside!

I am a regular visitor to Tredegar to visit family. This is by far my favourite cafe to visit. Unlike others in town, it smells clean and fresh, the tables and floor are always clean. The sandwiches are amazing, fresh and generously filled at a very reasonable price. The coffee is wonderful, and there is a good range of cold drinks. I am particularly fond of the toasted teacakes The staff are friendly, helpful and cheerful. It is always a pleasure to drop in for a cuppa. So good in fact do we think Refresh, our wedding catering was ordered from them, everyone at the wedding commented on how delicious the food was, the cake was absolutely gorgeous. Thank you to all the team for the fabulous service :D

Refresh Coffee Shop is an extremely popular Coffee Shop which has been open for several years and last year was taken over by Sharon,who is the original owners brother. The atmosphere is very friendly, service excellent, food really good and it's great being able to enjoy coffee with out the smell of grease and cooking. Sharon is ably assisted by Gail and Angie and they all go out of their way to make you feel at home. Special Orders are available, home made birthday and wedding cakes can be made to order and outside catering can be arranged.
