Firstly the 2 star EHO sticker in the window is somewhat concerning, however the fact on the EHO website it is marked with a 1 star is confusing! The food is consistently inconsistent. Some visits is OK others not. Generally the restaurant and toilets need some attention to detail regarding cleanliness and the staff although polite, struggle to communicate effectively. Its a shame really as Newtown struggles for decent restaurants. I would need to see at least 3 stars for me to visit again.

We visit Red Mango every week. Lovely food, great environment for family. Spacious and Air Conditioned, car parking is available, and their delivery service is unbeatable. I always recomend to my friends and colleague to go there and enjoy their evening. Good luck to all of you Guys and thanks a lot for everything.

Promised delivery of 45 minutes took over twice the time. The guy I spoke to about the service was an arrogant idiot!!! Never had such bad service ever! Crap food too!

Had visited this place for a friends wedding party and from start to finish the whole experience for everyone was terrible and not what you’d expect at a meal. The food was tasteless and cold, the drinks wasn’t even fuzzy but flat like they’ve been sitting there for months, there was only one waiter running around doing all the work while all the others was in the kitchen. When confronting the owner EMRAN he wasn’t apologetic knowing his food was terrible and most of the guests was leaving without food hungry. (220 Guests) When another guest left a trip advisor review he personally called them up and that he had no right to post that review, and was being very rude. My Nephew got food poisoning and was in A&E for 2 days after this event. This place is a no go people. 0Stars and please stay far away from it. Very run down place. Also the owner Money hungry EMRAN, needs to have better personal hygiene, he smells like the toilets in his restaurant.

Really bad food, disgusting owner who is also unclean. The food was horrible. No service at all. Sticky carpets. Food hygiene score is a 3. Wouldn’t go again.

Cant fathom why some give bad reviews to this place. A little suspicious in fact. Great food very polite and good service. The place itself is very clean and tidy and all very reasonably priced.

We had a meal tonight at Red Mango and experienced the best food in the town. Really lovely place, attentive staff and provide top quality service. Regularly order takeaway from them, never late down by them. Look forward to my next meal soon.

Me and my friends went to red mango for Indian food and i must say food was very delicious and have many variety and rich in taste as well as good serving. Along with that environment was good too and clean and big place. Also , polite staff and Indian music brought more cheers to it. It was a nice experience to be there .

Was visiting Norwich for Holiday with my family. I have asked hotel reception for an Indian restaurant, they have recomended RED MANGO, i went there and surprised by the look, food and service. 100% guranted good service and great quality food. THANKS TO RED MANGO TEAM for looking after us.

Good food and good vibes. Sizzlers and starters are really good. Chicken tikka Biriyani and Kulcha naan are also tasty.

If rotten food is your thing then this is the place for you, if like me however you enjoy good food then simply avoid like the plague. Nothing good about Red Mango at all.

Went here with family for a meal and ended up having to go to A&E later on in the night due to food poisoning. The crazy thing is that the food was so appalling that I didn’t even eat much , all I had was a few bites of my starters which were freezing cold, flavourless and dry. None of my family as well as me had anything good to say about the food. The food being poor isn’t even the main issue, the place itself and the atmosphere is worse than a prison cell. There are flies flying around everywhere and the entire place smells due to the woman’s toilets leaking straight out of the toilet and in to the main entrance way. I could also see that the cloth that was covering the table was dirty (probably due to previous customers) so I asked for that to be changed or for us to be moved to a new table and the waiters refused they said that they had bookings. But I kid you not there was genuinely only two tables in the whole restaurant that was occupied. Anyway and the excuse for not changing the cloth was that their manager isn’t in. The customer service was appalling , the waiters didn’t seem to care about any of their customers. They didn’t even bother asking when we wanted to order in fact I couldn’t even find the waiters. I had to get up from my seat and go find someone and ask if they could take my order. All in all food was poor , service was poor, and the place is worse than a landfill with bad odour and flees. Oh and let’s not forget the 6 hour wait in A&E. Save your self some trouble and don’t go here guys.

Having eaten here several times and been very pleased I booked for my birthday meal for 8 people. When we arrived we were told that they had no record of booking despite them sending a confirmation email. The restaurant was totally empty with only a few staff. The food was not up to usual standard and I sadly will not be returning

This is an excellent well priced restaurant. Through Covid they have been a mainstay on delivered curries and their Naga will definitely suit the hottest taste buds.

I have had several takeaways from this restaurant over recent months and enjoyed consistently high quality and well presented food. Also, the staff are both friendly and efficient.

Came here as a group of three adults and one baby. The restaurant was spotless and the staff were nice. The service was really good. The food was absolutely outstanding. I’m not some kind of Indian food expert by any stretch of the imagination, however you could tell it was all freshly cooked, it was piping hot, and the quality was very high. The portion sizes are generous and we were all stuffed by the end of it. We didn’t look at any children’s menu, so can’t say what that’s like (or even if there is one), as baby seemed to enjoy the poppadoms, samosas and some rice! As a bonus, it was all reasonably priced aswell. I would absolutely recommend this place, and would definitely return.

we went in for dinner without booking. we were welcome. staff helpful. wearing gloves and masks. drinks arrived quick. food just average but very very clean plates and cutlery. good spacious place so good distancing. we may visit again.

We ate here during a recent trip to Norwich. Booked by phone on the day. Service was good andf the food was excellent. I've missed eating out and our (return) visit to Red Mango reminded me of how good indian food could be.

We had a great meal, in a quiet but friendly contemporary Indian restaurant. The food was great and reasonably priced, freshly cooked and plentiful. The restaurant was clean and covid aware with its own car park. I heartily recommend it

We have been here several times and never been disappointed, even though they had a very big group in for a meal the staff remained attentive and friendly despite working very hard to serve the big group, we both had the mixed biryani which was faultless and one of best I have had, would definately recommend this restaurant

Recently l had a nice meal here. The restaurant observes the government's guide on social distance, the staff were masks and gloves and the tables had plenty of space around them. I would highly recomend a meal here.

We were let down by another restaurant so thought we’d pop in. We’ve eaten here before. The staff are always courteous. The food is well presented, tasty and not too oily. The restaurant area is so large, you have no worries about social distancing during the Covid pandemic. We will definitely return!

I’ve enjoyed every meal I’ve had from here both dine in and takeaway. On my visit today they made a mistake and gave my order to somebody else which wasn’t great and I was waiting a pretty long time. However they gave a full refund and added extras to my order so I couldn’t complain at all. My favourite Indian.

Esperaba, tal vez tres langostinos grandes, tres mejillones grandes e ingredientes de relleno. Pedimos un café de postre y licor. El postre llegó en unos aceptables 10 minutos. Mi café no llegó hasta al menos diez minutos después de que él terminó su postre. Esta era la chica a la que tenía que pedirle que me distanciara. La había visto poner el brandy en el vaso antes. Sabía que estaban ordenados al mismo tiempo. Como dije antes, llegó muy tarde. Denles lo que les corresponde, no me cobraron por esto.Sí, siempre volveré. Todavía tuvimos una agradable velada. Mejor de lo que esperábamos con cómo están las cosas en este momento y sabiendo que la gerencia arreglará las cosas. Probablemente me odien, pero nunca lo demuestran. ?Personalmente me encantaría que los restaurantes indios volvieran a la base y nos dieran más sus recetas / sabores y no comida adaptada a nuestro palet. I ordered from here for the first time and will not be ordering again. The tikka masala was so salty and had a bitter taste, the onion bhaji was inedible -overcooked. The naan bread, rice and meat samosas where fine. Definitely had nicer food else where for the same price.

Normally go into restaurant for a meal but having takeaways during lockdown. Food is great, restaurant quality, only thing missing is Fred and his wonderful staff. Looking forward to having a meal at restaurant when it reopen and seeing our "friends" Fred and co. Again.

Just had a take away delivered from Red Mango. We had intended on paying a visit before lockdown but it wasn't to be. The meal did not disappoint at all. There was loads of lovely food. We had chicken Jalfrezi, Lamb Jalfrezi, King Prawn Jalfrezi and a Chicken Tikka Masala. 2 pilau rice a Peshwari Naan and a Garlic Naan. Also a couple of pots of sauces/dips. Excellent food, quick delivery. We were told 45 mins and it arrived after 30 mins. Thank you so much Red Mango Staff everything was lovely. Will be ordering again very soon.

With everything closed we wanted a nice Indian meal. Having looked around at our options, the Red Mango looked the best & it was a certainly good choice. The food was obviously takeaway due to the current situation. The staff we spoke to on the phone & at the restaurant, when we collected, were pleasant & the price, having eaten the meal was good. The portions were good & the food was lovely. Having just finished the meal, we feel we had great value for money & very much enjoyed the food. . We live a 5 minute drive away & will be using them again.

Have driven past given its position on the ring road and never been tempted to eat in. Was offering a decent delivery time on Just Eat so thought we would give it a go. Can’t fault the food, it’s arrived hot both times and full of flavour. Lost a point as delivery time has been longer than advertised and we haven’t eaten in so can’t comment on the restaurant.

Took a chance using this company and quality wasn’t as good compared to others. Aubergine pakora’s were swimming in grease, portion of lamb tikka was really small and poor value at almost £8.

Another great takeaway! Eaten both in and takeaways, always delicious. 100% reccomend. Especially Chicken Tikka Massala

Some great food here with a great range of dishes and extremely tasty sauces. The Naga was lovely and hot and the wife loved her Madras.

Brilliant food nice selection was all still hot by the time we drove home. All good flavours and was all perfectly fresh. Surprisingly quick aswell. Will now become our go to indian takeaway.

Service is perfect, not to intrusive and can have a laugh. All the staff are well dressed and professional. I’m lucky to live just a minute away from the best Indian Restaurant I’ve ever been too! Shame not more people know about this gem.

As a food & restaurant writer, I have always wanted to try the food here, so on Friday 20 December 2019 I placed an order online to be delivered to me. I was told that delivery would be just after 8pm. It arrived 30 minutes beforehand and was totally cold and therefore it could not be eaten. When transporting food to a customer it must be firmly insulated, of which this wasn't. I called the restaurant and the communication was extremely poor as I spoke with three people who each continued to ask me for my postcode before passing me on to the next person only to be asked the same question. Not impressed and will not be using the services of this extremely poor restaurant. Within an hour I received a call from this restaurant stating that a refund would be brought to me with 40 minutes. This did not take place.

Have used their home delivery service for a couple of years now with zero reservations and will continue to do so next week!

Excellent service, a wide and varied menu. Fantastic food and wonderful at a reasonable price. Very attentive friendly staff, The restaurant is very modern and clean. We will definitely be coming back again.

Yo, mi pareja y mi hijo fuimos aquí anoche para el cumpleaños número 13 de mi hijo. 'Freddie' era nuestro camarero principal y no podía hacer lo suficiente por nosotros. La comida fue excelente. Teníamos un biryani, un plato de Ceilán y 'Laki's Favourite'. También pedimos algunos samosa's después de nuestros platos principales y la presentación fue muy 'buena comida'. Los precios son muy razonables en todos los ámbitos. Es un lugar tan original y, como pueden haber dicho otras críticas, es una pena que no lo haga mejor. Siento que le va bien para llevar en el área de Hellesdon. Definitivamente lo usaremos nuevamente. ! Bien hecho el 'Nuevo Mango Rojo'. ! ! ! ! !

He tenido la intención de visitar por un tiempo ahora y simplemente no lo conseguí. Comida absolutamente fabulosa, personal amable y atento y lo mejor de todo, excelente relación calidad-precio. Fui aquí anoche para una comida con un compañero de trabajo. Habiendo venido a Norwich en numerosas ocasiones para trabajar (principalmente en alta mar). Solo he comido en el hotel. Esto sin embargo es imprescindible. La comida, el ambiente y el personal fueron increíbles. Muy recomendable y definitivamente volveremos

Went in Sunday night. Was good service. Good food. Reasonable price for a curry. Most enjoyable. I would recommend a try if you fancy a curry away from the city

Having now visited the Red Mango on 5 or 6 occasions, the time is right to give feedback on my experience and that of my colleagues when we visit Norwich on business.

Popped in for a mid week meal and it was very quiet. We were seated and served quickly. Great selection on the menu. Staff were really friendly.

Had a great meal here last week. We were a very early sitting, but the staff were primed and ready to go. The service was great and the food better.

Ordered a vegetable tikka masala, garlic rice and cheese and garlic naan. Rice was tasty but had a bit too much coriander for my liking as it overpowered the garlic. Curry was beautiful and had fresh ingredients instead of the usual frozen mixed vegetables most takeaways bulk up with. Naan had loads of flavour too. Would recommend and will be trying eating in soon.

I have eaten once in the restaurant, which was lovely, but recently had a couple of takeaways from them. Without a doubt the best takeaway I have had in a very long time. Delivered piping hot (by Dave - thank you!) and included complimentary poppadoms.

Chose this restaurant because of good reviews, but I think they might have been written by people with vested interest n the restaurant as the food was rubbish and the atmosphere non existent. Being an Indian myself, I can tell you that this food is way below par even for a Bangladeshi restaurant.

First Time visit to Red Mango and what a great one it was staff friendly and attentive. Restaurant was clean and tidy and nicely set out. Food was lovely some of the best Lamb Kababs I’ve ever had, Naans were lovely and all for a really great price not extortionate like some Indian restaurants are would not think twice about returning.

This was my second visit to Red Mango for a meal and the food was just as great as my first visit.

Visited here last night, 2nd March. First time for a long time, and first since the new staff, etc. Very pleasant surprise - really good meal, and very good service. Great value for money - and will definitely be going back!!

Second time here since the change of management this is now becoming my favourite Indian, the food and service is superb and I can walk it from home. I hope they keep up this very high standard.

Had a business meal with my work colleague on sunday 10th Feb. Starter was chicken pakora the batter was far too thick didn't enjoy then i had a tandoori mixed grill with pilau rice all in all the bill came to near 25 pounds not worth half off that do not recommend this restaurant the food is very bland and over priced not in my top 10 off Indian restaurants will not dine there again.

We are always looked after when we visit. The guys are very welcoming and the service is spot on. When very busy they keep us updated on when our food will arrive. Every meal we have had has been great. We recommend to all our friends and family.

Typical family Sunday, none of us wanted to cook, we decided to look for an Indian buffet restaurant, to our surprise we had one 5 miles away, we turned up at 1pm on a Sunday walked into an immaculate restaurant, greeted by a friendly man who said they no longer do buffet, not to disappointed and as we were there decided to stay, thank god we did, we ordered vindaloo korma sagg pannier mushroom rice, all the dishes were 10/10 and as for the garlic nann bread WOW, amazing how disappoint turns into finding POSS the best Indian restaurant in Norwich, 100% will return,

Called into the Red Mango last night on the way home from Norwich airport, impressed by interior, very friendly and attentive staff, prompt service and delicious Indian food. Would definitely eat here again., most impressed.

Me and my wife had dinner at the red mango, the waiter was extremely rude and the food was cold! I also noticed one of the chefs picking his nose it was a absoulty dreadful experience.

Stayed just down the road this week and since my usual "go to" of the local spoons was absolutely rammed - for some reason best known to locals - decided to chance this place.

My wife and I ate here at 7:00 on Saturday evening. The restaurant was very busy with several other couples and a very large party group. Although busy the service was good, the drinks order & the necessary "pompadoms arrived in minutes. Our order was taken shortly afterwards. We were prepared for a long wait due to the number of customers & previous visits have shown this to be normal. This quality of food takes time to prepare but is well worth the wait.

Came here under the new management and was not disappointed. Lovely atmosphere, perfect curry and top service. Especially our waiter Shahr! He is a real credit to the company. I really don’t understand why this place isn’t busier it really is a great Indian to visit!

Me and my other half love coming here. Come at least twice a month if not more. Great, friendly staff who will make sure everything is just right for you. Staff are friendly and chatty love having a chat with them. Food is to die for. The best korma I have ever had and my partner loves the Madras here. Always look forward to coming here wouldn't go anywhere else. The atomosph is the best. Date night is always sorted as we always come here. Want to say a massive Thank You too all the staff that works here. Keep going the way you are. Got two customers for life.

The order was 2 hours over due, phoning the restaurant just frequently led to "it's on the way" but clearly wasn't, complete lies. Ruined an evening in with the family. Food was cold on arrival and no discount offered whatsoever. Never order here, ever.

Had a lovely meal, food was amazing and service spot on, have eaten here many times never had a bad experience. Fred and all the staff are so friendly. They did have a problem with the tandoor oven but communicated with customers and gave free chippaties as the oven was used to cook all the Nan bread. The mixed kebab starter is my favourite and I had chicken tikka masala for main which was lovely. My husband had meat curry which he enjoyed. Everything was cooked to perfection, see you soon.

Went to the restaurant last night with my mother and her partner. They came over almost immediately to ask for drinks order and if we wanted poppadoms. We ordered wine and poppadoms. The pops came out and were all stale. We asked for replacement ones which took about 5mins! They were also stale so we told them they were no better and didn’t want them

6 of us had a lovely meal, the food was of a good standard and tasted delicious, unfortunately we couldn't have nann bread due to the oven not working however the staff did their best to make up for this with free chapatis. The staff were very friendly and drinks reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Ordered a keema naan bread and lamb naga, must say the bread was truly delicious! Will be back again!

Was quite disappointed with the food. Starter was nice, but the mains we had were not great. My husbands food was not particularly good, it didn't seem to have all the flavours that it promised in the menu. I had the Silsila Kababish masala, which said it was served in a hot sizzler. Not only was it not on a sizzler, it wasn't even very warm, and the lamb was tough. The service was very good though, the only redeeming feature.

Popped in here for a take away whilst visiting friends in Norwich..had king prawn naga pilau rice aloo gobi and peshwari naan..was very impressed with the service and the quality of the food..naga was cooked to perfection and beautifully spiced..will deffinately visit again when in area..

Pedí una comida para llevar de Red Mango ayer para mi compañero y yo. Pedimos pollo tandoori y acompañamientos. El resto de la comida era normal, pero el pollo tandoori era realmente terrible. No sabía nada como debería ser el pollo tandoori, pero más impactante, dos piezas estaban prácticamente crudas por dentro. Esta es una violación grave de los estándares de seguridad alimentaria y se lo informaremos al Oficial de Salud Ambiental. Podríamos habernos enfermado gravemente, pero dejamos de comer la comida tan pronto como pudimos ver que no estaba cocinada adecuadamente. Arruinó nuestra comida. Veo que este restaurante ha tenido una serie de buenas críticas, así que tal vez tuvimos mala suerte, pero algo estaba muy mal con este llamado pollo tandoori. No volveremos a Red Mango nuevamente y sugerimos que se evite si no quiere arriesgarse a una intoxicación alimentaria.

First time visiting since under new management must say the improvement is 100% better than it was under the previous management. Staff and food is excellent will visit again.

Visitamos aquí dos veces esta semana, ya que estaba cerca del hotel en el que me estaba quedando. Restaurante tiene un ambiente agradable y relajado y el personal era muy bueno. Toda la comida fue excelente, los dos currys que probé estaban llenos de sabor pero con estilos muy diferentes. Lamb Shatkora fue muy bueno. Cualquier cuerpo que disfrute de un buen curry debe disfrutar de este restaurante.

El cumpleaños de mi hermana y decidimos probar el mango rojo, ya que ofrecen un 15% de descuento, que es su oferta actual. Tuve pollo tikka masala, que es muy sabroso y bien presentado. La mejor cena que tuve después de mucho tiempo. Volveré pronto .

Hay muchos restaurantes indios en Norwich algunos buenos y otros no tan buenos. Pero este con el nombre de mango rojo es el mejor en Norwich. La comida era excelente y bien presentada cuando llegó a nuestra mesa el servicio de todo el personal fue excelente también. No puedo criticar este restaurante debe probar si estás en Norwich.

Just had dinner here and can say that's it's one of the best Indian meals I've had in recent years. The food is good and the service attentive.
