Great food, friendly service, acceptable prices. We have started using these again and they still are one of the best. Currys especially good. Back soon.

Had a a take away tonight, and was surprised it cost about £4 more than usual, but who can blame them putting the price up, with the cost of everything going up. However when you pay more you money, you do expect better. The food itself was cold and not worth the extra money paid. Really annoying as it’s our local Chinese and who wants to drive over 7miles to the next nearest. Maybe tonight was a one off, as ordered just after they opened.

Take notice of the bad reviews which are accurate and I can't add anything to what has already been written. This has to be the worst takeaway ever. Soggy, fatty, inedible spring roll. Chicken balls dry and like bullets, sweet and sour sauce a weird and flavourless bright red colour. Egg fried rice dry. didn't eat most of it so waste of £14. I hate giving negative reviews, but this one is well deserved and a poor advert for Aylsham. On a positive note, the lady on the front desk was very nice.

Staying in Aylsham for a week and as we live in a very rural area, thought we’d take the opportunity to treat ourselves to a local take away. Soooo disappointed, it was practically inedible. Prawn crackers weren’t great but they were the only edible part of the meal! Ribs and beef chop suey covered in a thick blood red sticky sauce same as sweet and sour for the overcooked hard lumpy chicken balls. Nothing ‘special’ about the tasteless special fried rice. Wish we’d looked at the reviews before ordering!!

Very mediocre food and very poor quality service, not very much engagement with the customer. The opening hours on the website and the door menu are clearly out of date. Went to get something to eat on Monday 2nd October at 10:40 pm and they were already closed, my guess is that they closed at 10:30 pm, which is totally ridiculous as on the website and the door clearly states - MONDAY CLOSES AT 11:00 pm, my conclusion is that they have no regard for the opening times that suit them and not the customer and closed earlier to have their Horlicks and have an early night - SO BE WARNED IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GETTING SOMETHING TO EAT LATER IN THE EVENING.

The last meal was very disappointing. The chicken balls were dry and overcooked. The rice tasted like it had been reheated. The prawns were slightly undercooked. Chilli beef was nice but more carrot than beef. The carrot was too chunky and overcooked. Was very disappointed. I was also told on arrival that my food was nearly ready. Unfortunately, I had to wait another 20 minutes. The food was not hot when opening.

I have never had such a wet and soggy takeaway. Cauliflower diamond, prawn chow mein and sweet and sour all swimming in wet sauce. Not sticky sauce - watery sauce! I know you get a sweet and sour expecting the colour to be bright red, but this was radioactive pink. Prawn chow mein was made with the tiniest prawns I have ever seen! Won't be going again. Plus, the guy who took my order gave zero care to the customer and communicated in grunts. And they don't take card! Avoid!

Had a large order last night for five people. Not one of us could finish the meal, we all felt incredibly ill and resulted in two people being sick. This happened the last time we ordered from here but thought it was a one off. Unfortunately this Appears not to be the case, will not be ordering a Chinese from here again.

My order definitely wasn't what I expected, I got small pieces of chicken with bright red sweet n sour sauce. No taste either!

Very friendly and a good service, but very strange looking food. The Sweet n Sour Cantonese Style Chicken was just battered square chicken pieces (nothing like my local Chinese) and the Sweet n Sour sauce was a scarlet red colour (never in 50 odd years of eating Chinese food have I ever had red sweet n sour sauce), the Special Fried Rice was a dark brown colour looked as though it was burnt or overcooked, but was bland tasting. Can't say the food tasted bad as it didn't have much taste to it. Would I eat from here again no I don't think I would.

Decided to use our local Chinese tonight instead of Jade Garden in North Walsham. Brought home our meal for 1 and hubby tried the rice before serving as it looked quite dark in colour(habbit of a chef lol) and he said oh that taste burnt I scooped up some rice and could smell how burnt it was. He took it all back and explained what was wrong,the lady was happy to exchange but she brought out 2 more egg fried rice and asked are these ok?and hubby said no they are still burnt you can smell it. Exchanged for two plain rice instead but chow mein was the same smelt burnt and did not taste good. Sweet and sour sauce was lacking flavour. Such a shame 2nd time using this Chinese since living here and defo will not be making it a third.

This is my favourite Chinese, lots of good food. Prices are very reasonable. Lovely customer service

Duck pancakes were delicious. Chow mein very tasty but other dishes a little tasteless (chicken baba and cauli diamond). Very friendly staff and will return. Good value overall.

We are good customers and after tonight's order we will not be returning. The chicken balls were so over cooked they were rock solid and barely edible. Sweet and sour sauce was bland and flavourless and the special rice had a very odd after taste., very greasy too

I used this take away every week after work for a long time. Due to illness etc I haven't been in for about two years. I was trying to remember my favourite when the lady behind the counter told me what it was. This takeaway still requires customers to wear a mask probably because it's quite small. The lady was top for customer service to remember me while wearing a mask and not wearing my normal work uniform. The food was good too.

Sadly to say, this was the blandest Chinese meal I have ever had. The chilli chicken was not very spicy, the chop soy was a strange colour of red, the beef and mushroom was more gravy than stir fry like. All in all not like any Chinese meal I have ever tasted. The service was friendly, the quality good. It’s just the taste that left me in a world of beige - no flavour explosions . Inexpensive though

Good quality food as always. Sometimes a slight delay on orders but bearing in mind the number of orders they receive from the ever-expanding population of Aylsham and the surrounding area, it is hardly surprising. Lovely freindly staff too! Keep up the good work.

Only the flat screen TV on the counter says that this isn't a 1980s Chinese Takeaway. Hot, cheap well cooked and above all tasty food served fast by friendly polite staff. 4 stars not 5 because they really should start taking cards (CASH ONLY) and use 1970s amounts of MSG/Dark Soy. Love it.

One of the best takeaways I have ever been to in the UK. Better than anywhere I can think of. Always fresh delicious food.

Was staying local to this take away so thought id give it a go, from placing order to food being ready was only 15 mins with plenty of orders coming and going. Food was all freshly cooked and tasted good.

We liked all the food we ordered. They were cooked freshly, tasty and excellent value.

Brilliant chinese takeaway on Saturday 14th March for 14 people from the Eastern Sea Aylsham....lovely hot tasty food and exceptional service - would highly recommend this takeaway.

Been ordering from here since I was a kid. Hands down the best Chinese take out food in the area. Hot, fresh and not over priced. Friendly people who work there too. They are cash only so remember that when you order. Thanks for years of tasty food, eastern sea dudes!

Disappointing Very sweet, no real flavour and everything bright red from food colouring. Chicken overcooked, only positive is that the chow mein was average.

Delicious, was busy on Sat eve which is expected when food is good, well worth the wait. Young lady taking orders, done herself and Eastern Sea proud remaining so calm and respectful.

Food all freshly cooked and menu has great variety. Also excellent value for money.

One of my favourite take away places. Food is delicious, service is friendly and welcoming. Not over priced. If only they did delivery, I would order from them much more.

Pretty decent menu, the food is delicious and cooked well. Eastern Sea is run by very friendly people and is a pleasure to visit. Only mild quibbles stop it from being a 5 star restaurant.

First and last visit. Burnt noodles, greasy main dish and what seemed like old ribs. Pleasant polite ordering staff,clean waiting area, but thats it im afraid. Certainly nothing to return for.

A lovely meal we had from here, the spare ribs were very tasty, the spring rolls were lovely but the covering was a little thick, the special curry was beautiful as was the beef & mushrooms, we are already planning a return visit 😋

Great food, terrible with timings, expect at least half an hour on top of what they tell you, many times this has happened not just the once, twice or even third time!

The price is a bit higher than other places I've been, but the food has been consistently good for a long while.

This is one of the best chinese about and absolutely delicious always busy so ring early and the two previous reviews need an eye test and to get their taste buds checked out.Good Boy!!!!!!!

Overcooked, too much soy sauce. Everything very dark and deep fried and all a little 'old'. The ribs felt as if they had been around for quite a while. All the family had a swollen tummy/ache in the week following. The food was unpleasant. We won't be going there again even though it is the only Chinese restaurant for miles. A great disappointment.
