Good menu, plenty of food, delicious

Absolutely fantastic. I wish I'd discovered the Red Lion Inn earlier.

Wonderful food. Excellent service even though it was full.

Service was fantastic both servers were polite & helpful. Food was excellent & arrived sooner than we expected as it was quite busy. Overall an enjoyable meal & will definitely be calling again.

Superb,we went for Sunday lunch and it was amazing.

The food was okay - very greasy and tasted low quality, I ordered the chicken burger which came with communal chips? (Not a fan of that) The onion rings were pure grease and it didn't taste like they had changed their oil in quiet some time. The chips were also very greasy, it tasted like something that you would receive from a greasy spoon cafe and not an actual restaurant. Was not worth an hours wait. The staff were pleasant and the were as attentive as they could be. Wouldn't return. Poor quality.

Booked a table for the restaurant over a week in advance however when we arrived we were informed that the restaurant was full and we were offered a table in the bar where there were dozens of drunk rugby fans watching the Six Nations. As we had a very young child with us, this was not appropriate. We the had to leave having wasted over an hour driving to and from the venue.

Fabulous meal lastnight, couldn't fault anything! Excellent service considering it was such a busy night there. Will definitely be back & would highly recommend!

10/10 Fantastic Food with good music in the background. Wish I hadn’t ordered a starter as I couldn’t finish my mixed grill. They boxed the meat I left, for me to take home for the dog. The wife said we don’t have a dog.

Excellent steaks and good service. Perhaps a tad more expensive than expected but lovely grub anyhow. Rather cool to start with, but they weren't long open on a winter day.

Great atmosphere! were from out of town and we felt right at home! Food menu was a good size and the items we tried were really good and hearty and in generous portions. They had a very good selection of beer on drought. And service was very good; friendly and attentive but not in your face. Great pub overall. Well done to the team.

Lovely, friendly pub. Food was amazing, first class. The manager squeezed my party of 13 in on a very busy Sunday lunchtime after we were let down last minute by another venue. The staff were great, nothing too much trouble. We will definitely be booking again.

First visit to the Red Lion in Llandyfaelog for Sunday lunch and it did not disappoint. Food, service, price, location and atmosphere of the building was top class. Very busy place booking absolutely essential. Will definitely be back!! 😊

A delightful pub/restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. The menu has great choices and the portion sizes are very generous at reasonable prices. The staff were pleasant and attentive. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had a Sunday lunch, and an evening meal there, both of which were well cooked, well presented, and delicious. The 12oz sirloin steak (pictured) was superb.

Lovely food best place we have visited for a long time

The meat and Yorkshire pudding were fantastic but the swede and cauliflower cheese were a little bit watery. Would have liked a bit more fruit on the Pavlova. We will DEFINITELY go back though. A big plus for me was being allowed to have a small portion because I do not have a big appetite.

Great locally sourced produce served piping hot. Staff were friendly and efficient. Enjoyed it so much, we went back the following evening.

Excellent pub restaurant. Large portions of excellent food. Varied menu and children's meals too, which are still pretty big. Would recommend booking as is very popular with locals in the area, but might be lucky if don't book. We also stayed in the rooms at the red lion and would recommend that too. Friendly hosts and staff.

We visited the red lion on two occasions last week and it was outstanding the service was brilliant the food was fantastic and the welcome was second to none. I had the mixed grill and all's I can say is you won't get a better one anywhere my wife had the homemade steak pie it was beautiful please give this pub restaurant a visit you won't be sorry and the lamb chops are to die for and it's also dog friendly which is a bonus once again this place is outstanding 5 stars all the way David Griffith's from Chester,

Staying locally and wanted to go for a Sunday birthday lunch, got there when it opened and people were queueing already, luckily we booked! We sat outside originally and then a table became available inside. Very cosy and friendly, get there early as parking can be limited. The roast meal was the best we've had for a while, very hot and plentiful at a reasonable price (4 adults), service was great, thank you for a great experience, definitely go back again!!

The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was just perfect. As a visitor from Australia, my Welsh cousin chose well. Thank you.

Myself and my mate went there for the 1st time last Wednesday 31st of July and I can honestly say it won't be the last time. The food and the staff were 5 star 🌟 I will recommend it to all my family and friends .

Excellent pub with great service, atmosphere, and welcoming feel. Booking is recommended however its still possible to get a table turning up on spec. A great variety on the menu and prices are fair and represent good value, with a range of specials to choose from. A nice touch was being able to sample a few of the beers before deciding on which type to order.

Excellent food and lovely staff. Called for a reservation at 4pm for 7pm and they were very accommodating. The atmosphere was great too. Such a friendly place. The food portions were great, the choice of food was good too. We even had takeaway desert. If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely return.

Found this place by accident, so glad we did. The staff were lovely, couldn’t do enough for us. But the best part came when the food arrived, absolutely delicious, proper homemade taste, and massive sized portions too.

I’ve just enjoyed the best Sunday lunch that I’ve had for years ! The food was hot , fresh and cooked to perfection. I was also absolutely delighted, to find that the pork was served with crackling !!! Served on hot plates , another bonus !! The staff are friendly and attentive, always checking that diners are happy. I have been there many times for meals, but never Sunday lunch . Everything was perfect ! Thank you so much for a very pleasant afternoon. ☘️

Lovely sunday dinner here with fabulous service. I can’t fault any of the staff, they were extremely friendly and so welcoming. Real traditional Welsh pub which is a lovely atmosphere to walk in to. On a sunday it seemed to get quite busy, so would definitely recommend booking a table!

What a fabulous pub the Red Lion is. We were recommended to go there for our 45th wedding anniversary meal. The food was out of this world , the garlic mushrooms were the finest we have ever had. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Ring to make a reservation is essential, Highly recommend the Red Lion.

A little on the pricy side for a country pub, they stated we needed to be there early to order but still took a while to serve and when they did they brought sharing bowls of chips, this just puts me off, what's wrong with putting your food on your plate. Quite a big party and when one of the party asked for some more chips he was ignored. Food was mostly good but steak was over cooked and when asked how it was i stated this and again nothing was done. Glad we were in a off area to eat as the main bar you could not move in and was very awkward to get back and for to the toilets due to the tables being too close together

Our third visit and not disappointed with the food or service. We went for Sunday lunch and had a great roast. The beef was so tender and there was a generous helping of vegetables. Would highly recommend but make sure you book to avoid disappointment.

Great table service for lunch. They were very attentive and friendly. Very quiet, good atmosphere. Lovely and comfortable beer garden. We were not bothered by insects as there were traps around. Food was very good value and of good quality.

Nice little pub. Parked just up the road in the community hall car park and made a donation for parking. Dogs welcome inside and outside. very nice food and generous portions. We had hunters chicken, burger and the children's scampi.

Really friendly staff who helped find a parking spot for us and then served a wonderful cod loin in cockles and lava bread sauce..yum yum.
