Great pub with great beer and probably the best pint of Guiness iv had out of Ireland the beer he was cared for and is worth the journey just for a single pint

Fantastic family atmosphere, few pints with the locals and you feel comfortable, but when you meet Paul & Maria the owners who have spent an enormous amount of time and money to bring this pub up to the exactly standard that they have set out ,bringing this pub from the grave ,with hardly anyone, never mind locals not going in .Different story now ,you can hardly get in the pla e at the weekend, fair play to Paul & Maria for turning this pub around, with live music ,and find local ales, best pub in years 😀

Bloody awful. Ignorant staff. Luke warm food that looked like it was from a roadside van. Avoid like the plague.

Called in to the Red Lion while visiting family. A great selection of ales and the staff could not have been more welcoming. Will definitely come back next visit.

We needed a pub to watch the football on Sky while staying in Earby. There are 2 bars, we went left from the entrance and it was empty with no football on but Paul behind the bar quickly obliged and switched it on. He also charged my phone. Top fella, obviously enjoyed working there. Friendly locals. Good beer. Proper pub. Loved it.

The owners and staff of this local pub really know how keep their customers happy. No food is served but there is a cracking selection of drinks and real ales. A choice of two inside bars and a covered outside area to the front.

Absolutely fantastic. Not been in for over a year. The new staff/ owners very welcoming lively and friendly. Great range of real ale. we played a couple of games of cards and felt at ease and at home Will definitely go again, soon. Gave tasters for their ales dog friendly can't wait to go again.

We visited fora couple of drinks having never been before,its a qauint little pub which was very welcoming and very friendly bar staff.

Not a big beer drinker, but the landlord I am told by the locals takes pride in the keeping of his beer in good condition. No food served here. Staff actually took your drinks order at your table. Very friendly landlord and staff. This is the in place for the village. Shouldn't bother with the alternatives if I were you.

A nice village pub with personable landlord and staff, serving a good variety of beers. Dog friendly and plenty of outside seating. Have not been here for some time as the beer became a bit hit and miss for quality. New landlord and a much better experience. Will certainly go more often now.

First class pub , great beer and company

Me and my partner recently moved to the area and found the red lion while out and about there dog friendly which is great. It's a lovely bar and the staff are so friendly and nice.

I like this pub, but the recent huge increase in prices is extremely negative.

We called in here while visiting the Youth Hostel nearby. Landlady was friendly and they had a good selection of well kept ales on, as well as whiskies and ciders. Worth calling in for a pint or two.

Not been in the red lion for years it was my father in laws local growing up . Maria made us very welcome and put the food we asked for on . The price was very reasonable, definitely recommend

Firstly, this isn't a restaurant but a fantastic pub with a great selection of real ales and gins. The owners are very welcoming and the locals chatty, you could walk in for the 1st time and you're made to feel like you're already one of the regulars. They put on live music, concentrating on local talent, which, believe me, is of a very high quality. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

Travelling from the blackcountry and we popped in here completely by chance whilst in the area. Just a quick one with the wife at dinnertime ;-) So glad we did. A fine selection of real ales to choose from, attentive and friendly bar staff who have time for customers and chatty locals who show an interest . A proper pub, bostin as they say around here. Will be visiting again without the car the next time for sure . Cheers

On a recent CAMRA coach trip around "far flung" pubs of Pendle, the Red Lion stood out as the best by a country mile. A great selection of quality beers together with a warm reception and friendly atmosphere made it the highlight of the day for me. Many of my travelling companions agreed. If I lived in the Earby area, this pub would be my local.

A fantastic pub for local ale and lager, weekly Gin specials and lots of friendly staff who are very knowledgeable about the local area.

The Red Lion has just been taken over and totally revamped, the staff are friendly and they get different beers on from local breweries.

First visit since new owners took over. Huge difference, bright, friendly great beer, and food soon to come😀😀

New owners are upgrading this much loved local pub. Naylors ales and the possibility of different beers in the future is something to look forward to. Work is still ongoing but judging by what has been achieved in a short time, should be worth bearing this pub in mind for future visits. No food available when we went but it is early days and the friendly bar staff were keen to pass around specially made Red Lion pork pies which were delicious. Good luck for the future

Been visiting the Red Lion in Earby for the best part of 30 years. I can remember many a happy evening (and after hours!) with a packed out pub of friendly locals, visitors and walkers off the Pennine Way all enjoying the local ales and one of the most convivial atmosphere of any pub I've ever visited. Lunch time visits proved the food was top notch too with a fisherman's platter (this far inland!) being one of the finest I've ever consumed.
