Great food, lovely attentive staff, brilliant atmosphere. Our first time yesterday will definitely be back.

Great little Italian restaurant... Rustic interior...4 of us ate here as we were up visiting our daughter...2 garlic breads to share top notch. Quattro stagioni pizza top quality then 3 amazing pasta dishes...mushroom penna and a prawn linguini and salmon spaghetti all wolfed not a bit left. Atmosphere is really friendly great staff then a Happy Birthday rendition by Mario...nice touch. Will definitely be here again on our next trips to see our daughter.

This is one of my family’s favourite restaurant. We come here quite regularly but in recent times less and less because I don’t generally get good food and so will try to persuade my family to go somewhere else if I can. It could be just my bad luck as my other family members seem to be ok. I tried different things on the menu. First time I had meatballs starter it was good but the next time it wasn’t (very dry inside although covered in tomato sauce) I tried seafood pasta as I love them and will have this if it’s on the menu whenever and wherever we go out. Unfortunately it was the worst one I ever had. I tried the sirloin steak cooked medium but it came out well done. The next time I tried the filet steak, the same thing happened. I didn’t complain as everyone else seemed to be enjoying whatever they had. However last night I tried the sirloin again and when I ordered I mentioned my bad luck with steak there so asked for medium rare this time. Well, it came out medium well done and it was a strange sirloin as usually the fat is only on one side, this one was fatty all over and I was struggling to cut it with steak knife. The menu said it comes with onion rings, mushrooms and tomatoes and I got none of those and had to ask for them. They said they didn’t give them because I asked for sauce on the steak. Sorry I didn’t get how you pay extra for sauce then get less for other things supposed to come with it?? I wouldn’t even bother to write this if it wasn’t because of the fact Mario handled this very badly in my opinion. I used to like his bubbly personality and his lovely wife Francesca. Mario didn’t like my complaint about the food. He said we didn’t have to pay for my steak, ushered me out and said he heard all about me, always complaining at restaurants in the area. That’s a total lie as we are still regulars at other places in the area and never complained or ushered out the premises. At the end I just had to wait in the car while my other family members finished and paid the bill.

Very rude man working there. We kindly ask for a table but man scream at us. At result when we said he is not nice, he want us to pay more for a beer which cost less. Not recommended.

Would highly recommend the food, but the service wasn't fantastic. Booked for 7pm (tables clearly available) was shown to table at 7.40 (after the owner making a joke about making us wait so we'd drink more)...there was large parties in who clearly were regulars but were quite noisy. Asked for dessert menu - it didn't arrive so we got up to pay and then there was an embarrassing encounter with the owner and his wife as he gave us the wrong bill and then shouted at his wife to speak English when she was struggling to understand what had gone wrong....we all felt very uncomfortable. It was quite surreal as I've never ever seen an owner get so mad in front of customers....don't think we'll return soon even though food was really good😔

What a find this place was. There was abit of a wait for the food because they were very busy but when it came it was 1st Class and you get entertained by Mario while you wait.the staff were very helpful and friendly and a special shout out to Gina behind the bar and front of house who kept everything running smoothly. Five stars

We were a party of 27. Despite Mario missing some of the pre ordered menus (he spent all evening apologising 😃) it was one of the best I’ve had. Very good food and super friendly staff. Top notch 👍

Our first visit to Mario's, did not disappoint. Very friendly welcome to this family run restaurant. The food was delicious and very authentic. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and the owner and staff were very attentive. Service was top notch even when very busy. Will definitely be back very soon.

The food is so good and the service is great. I love how everyone is so happy all the time. And the pizza is massive.

We stopped here at 4.40pm tonight for a take out as a family of four. We wanted 4 pizzas and chips. We waited from 4.40pm till 5.15pm with nobody talking our order so we walked out and went else where. Whilst I understand there was a group of school children in it still shouldn't take more than 35 minutes to take an order!

Had a meal here on Thursday evening. It was very busy. Great atmosphere, tasy food accompanied by a bottle of Valpolicella.

A great environment with friendly and attentive staff, orders were taken quickly and smoothly with food arriving in good time fresh and well plated. Prices are reasonable, at service industry expectations, the atmosphere is comfortable and contributes to the experience with the decor and staff presentation. Good wine and drinks selection, and will definitely be one to return to with the family and friends.

Called in after going to the BOTS ,,went in with friends, nothing to much trouble, pizza,s where excellent.

Food did not take long at all. The dishes were delicious. The staff were all friendly and talkative, especially Mario. His customer service was one of a kind, managed to make my table laugh quite a few times.

The food from this restaurant is pretty good, but the portions are on the smaller side. I went there one time over the Christmas holidays and it was very busy, which made for a bit of a rushed experience. Despite this, the food was still tasty and enjoyable. Overall, I recommend this restaurant for the food quality, but be aware that the portions are small and it could be busy during peak times.

Authentic family-run Italian restaurant. Always a very warm welcome, excellent service and great food from an extensive menu. If there’s a birthday, all the staff go bananas. Brilliant.

Friendly service, pleasant atmosphere. The food wasn't as good as expected, my daughter's pizza, ham and pineapple wasn't brilliant, the toppings were very sparse as was the sauce on the base. I had chicken in a stroganoff sauce with rice. It wasn't too bad, I was just surprised at the small portion. Luckily I got a side portion of chips making the meal a little more substantial. Value for money, definitely not ! I would happily dine there again, I'd choose something more substantial and better value for money.

Marios is fun and lively. Pros: - good food - warm setting - large variety of seating for different sized families - delicious food Cons: - loudness, was uncomfortable (this coming from an ambivert themselves) - difficult to find the toilets - can get cramped quickly if it is a busy night - tables too close together, would've been difficult to hear the person next to you speaking.

This was my first time visiting Mario's for my sons birthday. I could not have picked a better place!! The menu choice and food was unbelievable. All staff were very attentive but without intruding on our night. They could not have done anything more, the service was excellent. They even treated my son to a happy birthday serenade, much to his embarrassment but he did enjoy the ice cream they brought him out tho 🍨 Could not recommend Mario's highly enough

Fantastic food and atmosphere! Our first time visiting, but the staff managed to squeeze us in a bit earlier despite struggling as they were already fully booked for our requested time. The quality of the food was absolutely fantastic and we very much look forward to visiting again for future meals. Absolutely amazing! I really struggle to find a restaurant that caters for my Gluten free diet yet Mario's went above and beyond! Most foods on the menu can be adapted to Gluten free. I'm so impressed. The service was second to none too! Highly recommended!!

Just had a top night at Marios with my fiancé and my 3 daughters fantastic service with awesome food filet steak in peppercorn sauce penn pasta carbonara and fabulous pizza the main man keeping us entertained thank you to all the staff and total respect to the great chef loved our first time here definitely be back soon

Food would have been OK back in the 70s. That is about all I have to say.
