Really enjoyable food - a wide choice too. Also, in terms of dietary requirements they are always so accommodating for Gluten Free I've been several time and will be back

Oh dear, when we walked into this restaurant, it looked quite nice, with a beautiful blossom tree and a fish pond with real carp. It then all went wrong, as our table for two was right at the side of the pond (left) and then I saw how filthy the carpet was (to my right) it was that dirty, you'd want to wipe your feet on the way out. We should have left really, but my partner was beyond hungry. Service was slow, we went and ordered our own drinks at the bar. The spare ribs, did not resemble ribs, they came in small bite size pieces! The crispy duck was not crispy and extremely bland. The main meal of fillet beef in Cantonese style sauce was OK, but the egg fried rice was dry and lumpy. Bill came with a 10% service charge, I paid it, in the hope they put it towards cleaning the carpets. My one and only review, because I won't be going back.

Lovely place for great food. Attentive and pleasant service with an interesting menu. I noticed several Chinese families around the restaurant - you know what they say about choosing a place to eat. The food was really good with large portions. Highly recommended.

Excellent quality food expertly cooked at a competitive price for its location in the heart of Sale. The food was packed full of flavour and the meat was tender and melted in the mouth. Plenty of Asian inspired dishes to choose from. Ample seating making for a spacious environment, we ate at a quiet time and the staff were excellent and very friendly.

It was for Chinese New Year celebrations. I was with a group of Chinese doctors from the North of England. There was first a CPD centered on neck manipulation, then a Chinese banquet. The ambiance was friendly and some doctors performed pieces from the Beijing opera and some Chinese popular songs 🎵.

If I could give more stars I would!! This is, by far, the BEST and authentic Chinese food we've ever had. The service was excellent with friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the artificial pond with real Koi carp adds a unique touch! We had prawn toasts, BBQ ribs, roast meat trio (wow!!!) and crispy spicy shredded beef. We couldn't fault the food. The roast meat trio was absolutely incredible, I've never had anything like it. It's very well priced for the quality of food you get. I would highly recommend going!!

Immersion into Chinese civilisation. The day I was there, almost all the people of the room were Chinese. I told them to just speak Chinese. It was a banquet, so they taught me how to prepare and eat Chinese wraps. The ambience was great. We had lobsters 🦞 duck and pork. The rice was excellent. I asked for some water 💧 and they brought it very quickly. Other drinks where already on the table.

We went to the restaurant to celebrate a friend’s birthday. I can tell this is the Best Chinese restaurant in the country not one of them! We loved everything: Great food, good location, welcoming and attentive staff, and lovely atmosphere 🤩 Definitely the top choice when you fancy a Chinese meal with family or friends or big celebrations!

Great food, superb service from Michael and Raymond. The prices are excellent, given that this is a high quality restaurant; and also given the friendly and helpful staff. The home-made chilli oil was incredibly tasty. We spent around £70’for three people and had food left to take home. The steamed grouper fish was particularly tender and delicious. Will be coming back soon for the whole crispy duck, which was a popular choice for the diners sitting around us.

I came in a couple of days ago with the misses & the little ones. We got screwed over by another restaurant ignoring our booking. We called here & they fit us in last minute. Big thanks for that. To start, the host was genuinely one of the best I've ever seen. He was hilarious, kind & really acommodating. He even entertained the boys by offering them a job cleaning the fishes teeth. On to the sevice & food. The wait staff were fantastic, however, I could see they were a bit flustered & even apologised for the wait. It was not a problem for us, nor was it even that long of a wait, rather normal I would say. I imagine the big table of Karens sat behind us messed with their flow but I'll discuss them a little later. The food was on point, I really need to know your rice cooking method, it was the best I've ever tried, it wasn't in the flavour but the method. Sauces were great, meats amazing, selection & price were very satisfying. I don't eat much but I devoured everything. I work as a Head Chef & I would love to bring everyone from my place to experience how a great restaurant operates. The Karens on the big table behind us. I want to apologise on behalf of humanity for their disgusting behaviour, absolutely awful people, swearing loudly, chastising the staff, having zero consideration for any one but themselves. I hope you read this and humble yourself. Get in a kitchen or on the floor before you start mouthing off, you wouldn't survive an hour before begging to go back to your useless HR manager job. You're not special Karen, you're irritating. Big thanks again guys, great job. Readers, stop reading these reviews & just go.

Standard Hong Kong style dishes

Food great ! Service ok but round table should have had a lazy Susan on. However the place is tired and needs a minor refurb if they filled the main room before spreading the customers over the many rooms the atmosphere could improve . The toilets and stairs to the toilets were not clean enough. It’s a shame because a little more attention by management could improve this restaurants rating. Will give a try again in 3 months to see if it’s improved !

I’m not local to Sale but I’ve been taken here a couple of times by my very good Chinese friends and on both occasions the food has been amazing. I’m not into the “western Chinese food “ and I much prefer ‘authentic’ food so I was delighted to be served proper traditional Chinese food which was fresh, tasty and delicious. I’ve eaten in China Town in Manchester many times but none of those restaurants served me food anywhere as good as from here. The chef certainly delivers exceptional quality of many dishes and even though I’m not local to here, it’s my now go to Chinese restaurant. For me it’s definitely worth a 40-mile round journey!

Had the most amazing roasted suckling pig tonight. What a treat for everyone. Kudos to the chef. Skin was crispy and very nicely seasoned with chinese herb and spices. You will need to pre-order.

Very Delicious Authentic Chinese Dishes. Beef tenderloin, served in classic iron plate, is so good. Another great dish is BBQ duck. Staff is friendly and polite. Will come back again.

Nice restaurant, good staff & plenty of food

Splendid restaurant with more than your average Chinese menu. Tried two types of duck both very good, the soft shell crab and salt-pepper squid was really good. Our server Mike was great and particularly attentive while it was less busy. Front door has two opposing doors which are difficult for groups and probably a challenge(but not impossible) for a wheelchair or pushchair without assistance.

Our friend who's a regular recommended this restaurant for dinner. He ordered and we went to collect for him. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. We took the food to our friend's place which is only few minutes drive. Food remained hot in temperature. They were big in portion and everything was nostalgically tasty. Traditional Chinese family dishes without the fear of being thirsty afterwards because of the msg. They do 20% discount for takeaway orders so the price was reasonable for this high standard of food. Highly recommended.

Our first visit to Red Chilli but won't be our last. Excellent, friendly, efficient service. Every element of the meal was delicious including the crispy duck, satay skewers and chilli beef. Huge portions. Good wine choices.

Went on a Wednesday night with my wife for the first time as a Chinese Restaurant we had both been before when it was Thia, the food was really authentic and sooo good there is an extensive menu with lots of different dishes but still with all of the old favorites. It wasn't cheap but worth every penny because of the food quality and portion size ( big ! ) We loved it and would definitely recommend it. It was also really nice to see the previous Manager as well. Ps. There was also lots of Chinese families eating in there and that can only be a good sign.

We’ve visited a few times now and it’s never disappointed us! The food is amazing as is the service! Always an enjoyable evening the home style menu is a must if your into the more authentic dishes.

The previous Jitrada Thai restaurant, now revived as a sophisticated Chinese restaurant. Essentially the same internal layout with inside fish pond retained. Extensive menu with a range of familiar and less familiar dishes. Very successful evening meal.

The food’s portion size is relatively small and not quite authentic. The server/manager is unexpectedly condescending, slightly rude and pushy as well when ordering food. The view, environment and overall service is great though. Seems like an individual’s problem.

To start our meal, we ordered the Prawn Dumplings, and they set the bar incredibly high. These delicate parcels of joy were bursting with succulent prawns and enveloped in perfectly translucent wrappers. The dipping sauce provided a harmonious balance of sweet and savory, making for an ideal appetizer. Next up was the Chicken Chow Mein, a classic favorite that did not disappoint. The noodles were cooked to perfection, with a satisfying chewiness, and they were generously loaded with tender slices of chicken and crisp, colorful vegetables. The sauce was both flavorful and well-balanced, enhancing the overall experience. The Cantonese Duck was the highlight of our meal. The skin was impeccably crispy, and the meat underneath was incredibly tender and full of flavor. Each bite was a delightful symphony of textures and tastes. T Moving on to the King Prawn with Garlic and Mushroom, I was blown away by the boldness of flavors in this dish. The prawns were enormous, perfectly cooked, and bathed in a garlic sauce that was nothing short of heavenly. The garlic-infused oil was aromatic and infused every bite with a rich, savory essence. Throughout our dining experience, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure that we had a memorable meal.

Went for the first time today and had the Sunday buffet, we loved the fact that everything is made to order and it’s not a situation where u go up and serve your own food you order what you want, and they make it in the kitchen and serve you. The buffet price was around £19.80, perfect portion sizes for you to try alot of different dishes on the menu and the food was one of the best Chinese I’ve had in a long time. The buffet menu is quite big and varied so that was great also. I would definitely go again On a regular day even when buffet is not available. Staff were friendly and helpful. Sweet and sour chicken 10/10 Beef noodles (Don’t remember the specific name) 10/10 Egg fried rice 10/10 Salt and pepper wings 10/10 Prawn toast 10/10

Used to love it when open as Thai restaurant and whilst has same feel inside I was disappointed with meal. I had ordered sea bass on menu but server pursuaded me to change to Turbot as much fresher!! Its a whole fish and needs sharing by several people. However it was very bland and disappointing. at £30+ for the dish. Stir fried fine beans were much tastier but at £11 for a side dish was expensive. We asked about deserts but told none available. Only half full on a Friday night but plenty of the local Chinese community were enjoying their meals so dont let me put you off!

Trio of pork-9/10 👌 -cold meat but tasty maybe ask for it hot or your meant to have it cold🤔 nice crunch and fat mmmmm cooked perfectly #crunch Duck stuffed with prawns 9.4/10👌- side note the white sauce on top is egg white sauce and was amazing, even rang after as I had no idea what is was sauce 10/10 Prawn toast #essential/priceless flavour 8.5/10 Chicken satay 8.3/10 - not ordered for me, but had one chicken skewer, was moist, and lots of sauce and good size, as sometimes you get a thins strip so although i dont like peanut flavour my friend loved it. Prawn and Pork Dumplings 8/10 - solid big flavour, not over cooked, simple but effective 😯 also generous size As a whole service on a arrival was great and polite, got my order, quick payment, they said 40 minutes for collection I rang up after 35 minutes to confirm it would still be ready on time (as I hate waiting when they get the timing wrong #aintnobodygottimeforthat) as a full review simply couldn't recommend it enough first visit 👌🤯👉🏅⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Authentic Guagdong/Cantonese cuisine! Everything was excellent and reminded me of the foods in Hong Kong, if not better. Nice, clean and comfy environment with friendly staffs. Highly recommend!!

Friendly and nice staff. Food is average Chinese takeaway dishes.We ordered a whole roast duck but I doubt we got a whole served, I didn’t even see any wings or legs. Funny part is one staff brought the salt and pepper duck(part of the whole duck)to us. It was a very small portion. I questioned and double checked. After he confirmed then I had just a few pieces on the plate. A few moments later, another staff came and said it was brought by mistake then she took it to next table straight away. I felt really bad for the next table as I had already taken a bite since I thought the food was ours and the server put it straight on their table. At the end when I got the bill, it charged 10% surcharge automatically. I was very disappointed, it was a family meal out. Definitely won’t go again.

We loved it! We've wanted to come here for ages after sitting in traffic and seeing the meats in the window, the food was delicious and fresh. The staff were lovely and accommodating, they even offered us somewhere private to feed our baby after we asked if we could sit out the way which was great. Star of the show was the roast duck!

Best Chinese restaurant in Sale! Traditional food with good quality. Excellent service and good atmosphere for dinner👍🏻 However, I have just visited the restaurant on Sunday for lunch. The buffet kind of disappointed me. The variety is great, but the quality is not as good as dinner.

We was pleasantly overwhelmed by the view when we went inside the restaurant, the fish pond was amazing , greeted by very smartly presented friendly staff. The food was reasonably priced and tasted amazing! Full or flavour. Our waiter topped up drinks and cleared plates as required , even got us extra sauces we asked for, very happy customers and will return soon , thanks guys

Delicious food serv by friendly staff. This, to my mind, knocks spots off most of the so-called Chinatown Bests in the city centre.

The only thing that amazed me was the outrageous price. Save your money because even a first time chef that's eaten nothing but plain flour his whole life would cook better Chinese food than this. Everything was either bland or dowsed is so much dark soy sauce I could have used the dripping from the plate to extinguish an actual fire.

If you're going to offer a buffet at least do a good job, otherwise why even bother? 🥢 Today they launched a buffet (Sundays) and for my first visit, very disappointed. Food was average. Small selection (which I wouldn’t have minded if each dish was excellent). Service wasn’t great. When she asked how was the meal - I said average and started to explain that lot of the food was luke warm (they had someone with a thermometer checking the temp of the buffet dishes, so goodness knows what he was checking?!) and she simply said "I'll go and tell the chef" before I had a chance to finish speaking and walked off. They didn't offer a discount. Value for money? No. Quality of food? Average. Go again? Absolutely not. Mediocre at best. 😞

Had a very enjoyable traditional Chinese meal here, a bit expensive but was very tasty and easy to get to via the tram.

First visit since opening. Very impressive extensive menu with lots of unusual dishes. However, as a first visit, we stuck to familiar dishes. Did not disappoint. Will be back soon!

What a lovely restaurant! The food is really good... we went for a variety of starters, crispy duck and then main course... all of them excellent.

An easy five stars. The roast duck was as good as I have ever tasted and the morning glory was fantastic. The whole selection of roast meats looked incredible, especially the char siu. The staff were really attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was spot on.

I really enjoyed my experience (a takeaway) the staff were lovely, fair price and the food was mostly good. I really enjoyed my meal, the prawn toast had actual prawns in it and everything tasted rlly nice. My friend was quite happy with his dish but he said ‘it had too much oil’ nevertheless he still enjoyed it after getting rid of a bit. I would go again and I really enjoyed myself. 👍

We have been waiting to visit this new addition to the Red Chilli group, at the premises of the previously very popular Jitrada - Sales's favourite Thai restaurant. Jitrada closed because of the retirement of the Thai chef, who has been wowing us for years. A suitable replacement proved impossible to find and now we have the same management and team running an already very busy Chinese restaurant. Thank you Raymond! The new menu is extensive and has something for all tastes, including traditional Chinese dishes not seen in mainstream restaurants. This we like and we like very much! If you are like us, and favour trying dishes which are out of the ordinary, then this is the place to visit. The service is as good as ever. For the time being the Sunday buffet is off the menu and has been replaced with a lunctime set price with an extensive menu to choose from. This will be our next visit. The decor has been retained and this makes it the friendly place it always has been. As mentioned before, an old friend with new and exciting offerings. Welcome back to Raymond and the team!

Really enjoyed eating at Red Chilli. The food is authentic, portions very generous and service was great too. The menu has both traditional favourites as well as a variety of dishes I have never tried before, will definitely return for another meal.

We went to Red Chilli Qingdao and had a gorgeous meal. Fresh, delicious food and a great atmosphere made for a fab night. Raymond the manager and all the staff were very attentive. We'll be back!

Enjoyed delicious and authentic Chinese food and the service was very good.

Food was great as expected from the Red Chilli brand. Although the menu looked different to the other branches, we found our usual favourites. The food are authentic so do ask for recommendations if you are unfamiliar, as they are VERY different to the typical local Chinese takeaway and restaurant menu. Some of the dishes can very very spicy. At time of visit in Oct 2022, the restaurant kept the old Thai decor from the previous restaurant, which is nice enough. However there was a very noisy table there (albeit hidden in the back behind screens) on the Friday we visited.

This in no way reflects the staff who were working (they were clearly understaffed and sturggling) We waited almost 2 hours for the main courses to arrive. Three groups got up and left without paying in the time it took our food to arrive. Food was expensive and definitely not worth the wait. Wouldn't bother coming here, doubt it'll be there for long.

This is the best restaurant I have ever been to! There's quite a variety of new food and the ones that i have tried are very delicious (I recommend any of the roast meat). The waiting staff are very welcoming and nice. 10/10 I'm definitely coming back in the future
