The food is AMAZING. It was so delicious, lovely little place with upstairs seating aswell. Can't wait to return.

Went in for food, seated upstairs when there was a table by the door. Atmosphere awful, food not good at all, ribs dry and chewy and tasteless, fillet of fish was soggy and did not taste of fish, Very disappointed as each small dish worked at 5 pound a portion, which were small portions. Overall disappointing...Will not eat there again, had heartburn all night after Only upside, staff were pleasant

We decided to visit here with the kids on Friday night, we managed to be seated quite quickly and with the amount of people I was worried we would have to wait a long time for food but surprisingly it came very quickly! Definitely recommend the crispy chilli chicken , we got from the halal menu which wasn't as extensive as the other menu but it did us well. We also enjoyed salt and pepper fries and the salt and pepper chicken bites too.

Got the new vegan salt and pepper munchy bowl and it was delicious! All the flavors worked so well and the staff were lovely. Really enjoyable meal, will be going back with friends when we all get time off work.

Visited here last night (Saturday) with a party of 7. Absolutely fantastic place! Don’t think I’ve ever seen staff so welcoming and fro throughout, awesome job! In relation to the food, WOW! Probably the best Chinese we’ve had in a long time! So tasty and fresh and plenty of it. We will definitely be back here! Thanks so much everyone!

Not wheelchair accessible, there's a large step at the front. The food was so flavourless and overpriced. The only seasoning seemed to be store bought sauce. I definitely do not reccomend. The only thing that saved it was the music.

Ordered the vegan menu, cost£22 and was some of the worst food I've had out. Was all totally lacking in flavour, tasted like cheap frozen stuff with packet sauce. No flavour no vegetables just beige frozen food at a high price. Shame because I've had some really good vegan Chinese food in Manchester. Would 100% not recommend. We came for the sushi bottomless buffet, staff were really friendly and accommodating however the quality of the dishes themselves and options offered weren’t as good as expected as they were dry or the flavour just wasn’t there. It was a shame some of the options provided in the 2 initial platters couldn’t be reordered again such as the seared salmon nigiri and the homemade lemon tea was sadly very sour. Would come try here again but not for the bottomless.

Went for the Sushi Sundays deal and wow this was incredible!! I did not expect such excellent quality for a bottomless deal. All the sushi was made fresh and the wait staff were very attentive. Almost don’t want to recommend it because it will get too busy to book! Will be coming back again soon.

We've only eaten in once but had delivery a few times now. Can't fault the food or service. The super friendly delivery guy remembered our flat after one delivery and knows to knock on our patio rather than the front door! Our order is always a one man fu each, perfect portion size, always fresh, tasty and hot. Comes in a great tray you can eat from so we don't even have to wash up after. Would absolutely recommend.

The food was okay, the drinks weren’t great. Whatever you do, do NOT get the chicken satay. As a party of 4, about half of us had nice meals (mainly small plates and bao buns) but the mains I would miss. The crispy chilli chicken was delicious though. I would say if you order from here, choose carefully. I also ordered some cocktails and they were honestly disgusting. The service wasn’t great — we waited a very long time for our food and when we asked how much longer it would be our server was very short with us. I work in hospitality myself and I am usually very forgiving with restaurants and restaurant staff because I understand but honestly our experience was bad enough for me to leave a bad review. Which is rare for me. Honestly, avoid.

We attended last night for the second time and felt a little disappointed. We waited over an hour for our starters and when they arrived there was one missing. The staff were apologetic and the starter was served after everyone else had finished theirs. The food is top notch and cannot be faulted but we ended up leaving pretty much straight after our main meal as the restaurant was so cold in temperature. We just felt a little disheartened with the experience. The restaurant was busy and seemed a lot of take aways were going out but a heads up we were going to wait an hour for food would have been appreciated, we might have even ordered the prawn crackers to have been going on with!

We visit Wow Yau Chow often as a family as the food & service is always fantastic. My daughter celebrated her 16th Birthday here too this week and all her friends now love it as much as we do! The staff were so helpful in arranging the birthday meal, Ged ensured the booking and our seating request was met and all the staff was so lovely on the night. The girls all reported back how much they loved the food and plan to return in the near future. I am already planning my next visit! 😊

Our favorite Chinese in Altrincham, we've dined in and used the takeaway service a few times. 'Duck spring rolls' and 'steak in black pepper' are our go too dishes and we've enjoyed all the dishes we've tried so far.

Great experience from start to finish. Staff are great and very attentive nothing is too much trouble for them . The food is 10/10 all cooked to perfection it’s an open kitchen so you can see the chefs cooking the food which is always a good sign . To be honest I can’t wait to go back again ❤️

We went for a group bottomless brunch earlier in the year. The food was exceptional, and staff were absolutely brilliant. Considering we were a table of about 10, the service times were brilliant. They were also incredibly polite to all of us. Considering that managing a bottomless brunch table must be quite difficult for staff, they were still really kind and obviously trained well. Would recommend to anyone!

I was encouraged by the photos and opinions on the Internet. The food in the photos looked like larger portions. In reality, the portion is smaller. Especially stuffed peppers and bao buns. Bao a bit dry inside. These were correct, but had no distinct flavor. Fresh products and nicely packed. The prices are not low. Very nice service and delivery!

Staff were friendly and the drink were good but the food was really bland! I had to send my soup back, which was replaced with crispy chilli chicken which was cold and tough. Won't be returning, sorry.

Went on Sat for bottomless brunch having been quite a few times before and loved it and recommended to others to find it all changed and bottomless no longer means bottomless and the menu very limited. Very disappointed and would not return and will let people know.

Probably one of the best English/Chinese restaurants I’ve eaten in. Can’t really compare, the menu was definitely a one off and the combination was amazing. Will definitely be returning next time we’re flying out of Manchester

Poor food not much flavours poor service

I don’t know who writes these 4-5 star reviews, but my God! Dry chicken, hard rice, chip shop quality curry spatted on the rice…, Bao buns were not great, chewy and old, the fillings were nasty. Basically all the chicken served was like schnitzel but with chicken coated in some miserable breadcrumbs. Perhaps we chose the wrong place and good ‘Asian’ food is not what this establishment specialises. The menu seemed to be steered towards bottomless drinks with your food. Disappointing doesn’t cover it! Even the 5 year old made a comment about tough chewy chicken!

Great spot which can accommodate gluten free for Coeliacs. Enjoyed the Saturday brunch menu. Taster menu with little baskets of three dishes with prawn crackers.

Not usually a fan of Chinese cuisine but meeting a friend I’m happy to say I was pleasantly surprised. Parking via Goose Green multi-story and a short walk, you arrive. Choice or menus for how hungry you may be, we opted for the Phat Man Fu. Two starters, two mains, two sides and a sauce should do the trick for the people with big stomachs. Would of been a five star if the service was more professional.

I was so excited to come here after seeing all of the vibrant pictures. I ordered steak in black pepper and it was literally that, little bit of steak with black pepper sauce and loads of rice. I was expecting it to come with standard veg that you get from a normal Chinese ie onions and peppers at least however, what I got was salad leaves which I found weird with the dish. Tasty but very dry. They gave me extra sauce FOC when I asked however, I was still extremely gutted. Didn’t complain as I assumed this was how the dish was meant to be as it was my first time. Basically I paid £13.50 for a bit of steak, boiled rice, little bit of sauce and salad leaves. Wouldn’t return in a hurry.

A small gluten free menu. Staff are knowledgable about cross contamination. I felt safe eating here as a coeliac. Food was fantastic.

We’ve been here several times and always been impressed. We came last Father’s Day and my husband was treated like he was special but this year was very different. Our waiter was not friendly in fact really off. After delivering the food he wasn’t around again for more drinks desserts or the bill. We had to go downstairs and pay at the till as no one around. It was a new menu and the food was well below the standard it was before. My prawns were dry and tasteless and the duck in the bao was rock hard . I must admit that the food and services means we won’t be rushing back again.

Caley was the most amazing hostess, it wasn’t to busy but she accommodating to every table. Love the lay out of the place and the cocktails and the spring rolls are Amazing!! They also do take away and on deliveroo!!! Wahooooo!!

Visited on bank holiday Sunday of the coronation weekend as they were offering their bottomless brunch option. We all opted for the larger FatManFu food choice as it was only an additional £4. Good variety of food to choose from, I think all 4 of us had slightly different baskets. Also good drinks choice for us girls, we tried all 4 cocktail options (strawberry daiquiri the winner). Only one beer option for the guys so they ended up on the cocktails too. Service for drinks was quick and efficient. We got our monies worth! Food was a little slow but worth the wait. £35 each felt like a great deal. Atmosphere was slightly lacking but wouldn't put us off returning.

Friendly staff, good food and good value! Worth a trip to WowYauChow, we shared a PhatManFuu and some fries between 2, which was more than enough with the generous portion sizes!

Visited twice. Once was the a la carte menu which was lovely. Went back to try the bottomless brunch and found the service to be painfully slow. Was very obvious they dragged out the 90 mins to reduce the amount of times you could order. Left hungry which was disappointing.

I have never been spoken to so rudely by the staff at this restaurant. I’d rather spend my hard earned money at a restaurant ran by people with manners.

Wanted to give it a try as reviews were good but food was really basic and lacking of flavour. The large portions are not really large. The portion of noodles in the SnP Steak was to small compared to the quantity of meat. The King Prawns Tangtastic is probably the worst dish i've ever seen in a chinese restaurant, it was litterally just rice with king prawns with sweet chilly sauce on the top... Can't say much about the service as we've just been asked to seat by the entrance and as the door was opening time to time, i had to ask to be sat somewhere else, especially that the restaurant wasn't packed at this time of the day. I never mind paying tips when the service is at least good but being automatically charged 10% extra on the bill for "service charge" when the service was inexistent is not very honest.

I think it is unfair for the restaurant for me to leave a review. My standards on Chinese food are rather high and my English friends did enjoy the food but just not for me.

Lovely meal spoiled by average staff . Arrived at 7.25 , shown to our table . Ordered drinks , ordered food around 7.50 . When we were reaching the end of our third bottle of beer asked the waiter what the issue was . Apparently a party of 14 people were occupying the majority of kitchen staff . The food eventually arrived at around 8.45 . What we had , a variety of the 'baskets' between the four of us was excellent . I particularly enjoyed the peppered beef and the chilli chicken . Pleased but not pleased . An hour wait without explanation was not a great start to the evening . No prawn crackers , disappointing . If we'd have been told straight away that we were effectively behind the group of 14 , and been offered nibbles while we waited it would have improved the whole experience . Bernie Wood

This restaurant is still as it was when it first opened. No frills, just tasty Chinese food freshly cooked, served quicker than most fast food restaurants but with more choice. What more could you want! There is a good atmosphere whatever time of day/night you visit but is better at night when the diners have been out most of the day and want the freshly cooked meals in the carefree environment.

Excellent my daughter was celebrating her 15th birthday I called for a little treat to be arranged a mock cocktail was the treat very good customer service 😀 😋 😋

This is the first time that I have tried a Fu basket and it was incredibly delicious. The One Man Fu is a loaded basket that comes with a choice of 2 starters, 2 mains, and 2 side. The food is piping hot and all freshly cooked. I can’t wait to go back.

Had a lovely family meal last night celebrating a 21st and 70th birthday.. Kayleigh the waitress was extremely attentive and was very cheerful..She made the party go very smoothly and we all had a great time.Also the chef came to make sure we were all happy with our food.Tasty food would recommend 👍🏻

11 icehockey players looking for somewhere good to eat entered & were greeted with open arms seating us all together & then took our drinks order. Whilst waiting for us to decide what we wanted they supplied us with several baskets of prawn crackers with dips & they were really tasty & not like a chippy. The food came out in baskets too with a choice of cutlery or chopsticks!. Overall the food was excellent the drinks flowed & the service was always there making sure we was being looked after & top marks excellent!. Definitely will be recommending this place to friends & family.

Unfortunately this experience suggests that it's gone very much downhill recently. We used to frequent here and it was our favourite place but our experience this time was bad. They weren't attentive when I said I was lactose intolerant and brought food that didn't mention having cheese in it covered in cheese, they sorted it but not very good service..they then proceeded to forget 3 out of 5 of our drinks orders, had a giant machine making noise during service and the food that we ordered had half the amount of meat on it so it was sparse. The duck fries had a pitiful amount of duck, I don't mind paying more but I want quality when I eat out it's like they've gone the wrong way. First time I've ever not paid a service charge in my life so that should say something. We messaged the owner as we've had large groups and Christmas groups before where we've brought business to say we were disappointed, we didn't want anything in return it's to let him know but we got zero response so we won't be coming back.

If I could give 10 stars I would we did the all you can eat and drink for £35 food was fabulous, gorgeous cocktails and the staff couldn’t do enough for us - can’t wait to come back

We went for the bottomless tea. Absolutely amazing value, the food was really great quality and so tasty. Our servers, Emile and Mike, made sure we constantly had drinks and food, and were generally very pleasant people, who made us feel very at home . Could not recommend enough!

So I rebooked a table for 5.30 rang them as realised duplicate table guy cancelled it and just changed my original booking all good so I thought then not long after get an email to say we had two tables booked I corrected them told them the above. Then not long after got another email to say booking cancelled. So we then booked another table as was in our way. Arrived and was seated took drinks order then not long after food order started took 15-20 mins to come out they were the buns the meat was all cold and chewy and tough pork belly was horrific. Then waited a further hours and a bit for the mains, chicken bites were so chewy I thought they were going to pull my teeth out! Nothing salt and pepper about the chicken or chips though u expect it to be tossed in the seasoning not just a little bit on top no Chinese five spice in it either chicken bits also taste dlioe burnt chicken skin was not enjoyable at all. Family member had chicken cutlets and chicken bites as well same issue they stated really chewy and not edible my sister had same as me and again same issue. Drinks and cocktails all really nice but food was overrated for what it was wouldn't return I make this kind of food at home all the time so think I'll stick to that

I have to say the service at the restaurant was barely there. Happy to take drink orders and take more money off us but no one gave us plates, or cleared our plates at any part of the meal we had to help ourselves from the shelves, also while this was happening the incompetent bar staff watched us doing it. I was absolutely shocked. No one came to ask how the food was or even checked In with us. The cutlery was dirty. The food was the only nice part of the meal. It was for my boyfriend’s birthday and there was 17 of us including children and honestly it was the worst experience in a restaurant we’ve had. So bad considering the restaurant knew they’d be having a big party and were extremely unprepared. The staff were unknowledgeable about the food options and even dropped food when serving the table. I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone. The only reason it has 2 stars is because the quality of food was nice but everything else was pathetic.

The food was average but the service was terrible. I spent most of the evening clearing our tables getting our own plates and cutlery. I was given a dirty knife to cut a cake. Not happy at all and will not be visiting again! If I had to describe the staff in one word….. useless.

Are here last evening and I share the opinion of the last reviewer. It’s a cool place to go and the staff were really nice so all good to that point. The food however was poor. I expected fresh quality ingredients and was massively disappointed. Had a couple of dishes that included battered quid but seem to contain no actual squid. Had a beef dish that was made with very small pieces of very poor quality beef. We almost never leave food but we did…unheard of. Told the staff what we thought but didn’t really get any feedback. Chap wondered off and we eventually wondered out. Shame

We went for the bottomless food and drinks. Could not be happier. Food was lovely, drinks were flowing and service was on point. We left happy full and very merry.

We had the bottomless brunch at £35 per head with a party of 9 people. Decent choice on menu, you choose a mall plate a bao bun and either noodles or rice. The staff are very quick at bringing next drinks. We all had 2 baskets and some people had a small plate top up within the 90 mins. Feel it is good value for money and you do get full unlike some bottomless brunches we have been on at other locations.

Absolutely beautiful meal out tonight at WowYauChow! Brilliant hospitality, food was absolutely to die for. We've both rolled home after eating way more than we should have 🤣 but so worth it. Thank you for a lovely meal! Will definitely be back soon!

Very clever social media marketing make this restaurant look epic. Unfortunately it’s a major disappointment. Think 1980’s small town Chinese takeaway and you’re on the mark. The bao buns were incredibly hard and dry - we couldn’t distinguish between the fillings. Generally underwhelming, sadly :(

I have been here a good few times now for the past 3 years. I have dined in and got a deliveries because I like to give an establishment a good few tries and especially since the first two times were pleasant! However...fast forward to the recent experiences... what a shame, it has been terrible, the chicken was ROCK HARD(this is not the first time it has happened) and so chewy from the sweet and sour, crispy chilli chicken and salt and pepper chicken bites, it was so tough, it had to be thrown away in the end...egg fried rice was bland with barely any egg, I thought it was just boiled rice at first, then I also found a hair in the crispy chilli chicken dish but I just couldn't be bothered to phone up and complain. Much better Chinese food about in the area than this, it's sad really because it has so much potential.

First time here tonight. BEST CHINESE Restaurant I have EVER been to. Very Anglicised Cantonese food. Set meal multiple course basket. Great service. Nothing too much trouble. Clue is in the words "British Chinese". I consider Chinese food in China to be disgusting i used to go to McDonalds when in China.

After reading lots of reviews myself and 3 others booked a table for Saturday to sample the bottomless food & drink. We were not disappointed. The service, food, atmosphere was on point and surpassed our expectations. At no point did we feel rushed, service was polite, friendly and genuine. Highly recommend and we will definitely be booking again

People of Swinton, get yourselves into Wowyauchow Swinton ! Just had the nicest meal. Not your average Chinese but really really good! Their OneManFu (see photo) would easily feed 2! Great selection of drinks and cocktails. And nice friendly staff too! So good to see...

I read the reviews on Google and assumed will be very good. To be honest I’m quite perplexed after dining there. Not sure what the big fuss was and how they have such good reviews, the chicken was very dry and rock like. The prawn was what you could buy from the Icelands frozen section, the noodles and egg fried rice was disappointing too. The positives from this visit was that the pictures taken were very pretty.

Visited with family and we were seated on the roof terrace. The food options are varied and interesting, they have big plates that allow you to combine multiple smaller dishes so that you can 4 or 5 different things as part of one meal. Everything...
