Best kebab in Manchester, freshly prepared in front of you, nan bread superb.

We were recommended this kebab shop by a friend's coworker, so we took a bus from the city centre just to visit it. I have to say, that trip was absolutely worth it. Looking at the shop it really doesn't seem like much, but the warmth and positive energy of the guys running it alone is worth 5 stars. When we said we hadn't been before, we were given a generous portion of their kebab meat marinaded in the house sauce for free to try it. Basically the amount of food you'd get at a Currywurst stall in Berlin outside a DIY shop. And it was fantastic. There are some standing spaces on a little bar and two seats at the counter, where we were put. We got chicken and lamb shish in a fresh nan bread, where we watched him roll out and bake the bread in his little tandoor. The portion size was humongous, the spicy sauce is really unique, and the positivity of the place is really uplifting. You can feel how much they enjoy working there and that they care about their food. For 8 quid for a kebab with extra shish this is incredible value. Go there. Talk to them. Have a laugh. Have a kebab. You won't regret it.

Got the Red Cherry Massive after seeing it on social media. Everything was made fresh, the kebabs and nan out the tandoor were nice. But I felt the donner was a bit of a let down, despite it looking very flavoursome drenched in the red sauce, I found it to be quite bland. It is great value for money and the owner was super friendly.

Where do I even begin with this place? From the food to the service – absolutely brilliant, a solid 10/10! My mate and I travelled down from Walsall/Birmingham and asked the owner if there was a place to sit and eat. At the time, it’s more of a takeaway spot without a seating area, but when I mentioned there were just the two of us, he told us to come down, and he would sort something out. I was blown away by how friendly and accommodating the service was. Despite being busy, they still took the time to engage with us while we waited for our food. You can really tell they value their customers. I come to Manchester regularly for the football, and I’ve now found my go-to kebab spot!

Visited one evening on recommendation from tiktok reviews. The staff were very welcoming, polite and well humoured.The food arrived quickly and honoured our request to place it in a pizza box. The sharwama and lamb doner on naan was tasty and it was real value for money. Overall well satisfied with the food and staff. Inshallah next time I'll try the kobeda on naan, seen it being prepared and it look well nice.

An all round good donner. The meat and the bread is 10/10, up there with the very best. Chips and onion rings also good. The kebab was placed in a paper wrapper and as such basically dissolved the paper away leaving a sloppy mess. Delivery extremely quick and the driver was a friendly bloke. Would get again. Update: on 3rd order I wouldn’t get it again. Donner meat was good but literally uncooked frozen chips let it down. Expected better. Sauce in a little bag was also quite grim, didnt want to open it and have it spill everywhere so chucked it straight in the bin.

I ordered and it took 2 and a half hours to turn up and was freezing cold so I had to reject the food from the driver I tried phoning them about 15 times and no answer I’ll never order from here again just plain rude and ignorant to ignore the phone

Ordered at 4.45, address is in the app, they rang at 5.20 to ask the address, then another hour later rang again to ask address??? Then eventually it arrived at 6.50 (over 2 hours) it was dry, cold, and the chips ( paid for large) was a few and inedible! Absolutely gutted ! Waited all day to eat and couldn’t eat anything. Don’t want to ring and complain as believe that’s a no go and I also won’t order again, not worth the risk. Shame as it could be good food and has good flavours but dried out completely and cold . Went in the bin… would not serve that up to anyone

All I can say is run. I ate Donner and chips at 20:00 hours. All night I was suffering with cramps woke up at 1:30 with explosive diarrhea and diarrhea like a water jet. I feel severely ill. What a mistake a day before work.

Wow, what a great kebab, serious flavours and perfect naan to wrap it in. This place will definitely be getting a second visit

Just got samosa and pakora’s from a red cherry stall got to say quality was not great unfortunately samosa was undercooked and tried to tell the server and didnt listen and told me it would be fine and cane home to eat it and as suspected it was not cooked through. Pakoras didn’t have a great flavour either quite a waste as it was expensive at the festival.

It’s not my type of food but there always busy

Quite literally the worst food I've ever had delivered. Baffled by the overwhelming positive reviews. The delivered driver was really really sound and was delivered quickly however. But the food was despicable.

If you like kebabs Believe me, I’ve been to quite a few kebab shops if you want the best this is the best. I travel all the way from Chester that is how good it is and keep going back excellent food. excellent service

Been using this kebab shop for over 30 years and never let down. Now it’s all over tick tick it’s no longer Manchesters best kept secret. Means the wait is a little longer but don’t mind as it quality fresh food. struggled to eat a massive on my own and its definitely enough for two. daughter still loves the basic chip nan. will go back to my Kobeda / seekh mix. cant believe its still cheaper than most of the kebab shops in south manchester. Delicious!!

Foods soggy and cold waited an hour and half for food to start and received cold soggy food even though 20 minutes ago it was just leaving the takeaway (i live 5 mins down the road) then rang up to tell them i was not happy with the quality and was greeted by the rudest person in the shop. Always enjoyed the food from here but not again ps: £2 odd for them chips that had about 12 in and not even covered in paper after it all fell off and chips fell into the bag

Sent the wrong food and didn’t send the chips ordered to chicken tikka kebabs and chips haven’t a clue what they sent in the bin now even the cat turned her nose up at it very disappointed as I’ve been there before in person to order and was excellent

Back to 90s I've been coming to red cherry since I was lad an have grown on kebabs from this place Shanky n Sully always Bring back my childhood with them tasty kebabs they serve.. recipes never changed the donner has always been the same since day 1 ...keep up the hard work

I ordered their Big Smash beef burger 🍔 but it turned out to be really dry as I was very excited by looking at the making. However the end result was Disappointing as the beef patty was too dry and with no flavour or seasoning so very Disappointing with the end result - both taste and texture. The service is also very slow - to give you a perspective the burger was ready and they then realised that the chips are also required so they then put the chips into the fryer! Though i might try one of their Donner or Kebab!

Decent kebab really nice the sauce the donner comes in waited a long time for it tho stood in the shop approx 40 mins

Great value for money. Got the Red Cherry massive and it certainly lives up to its name. Really good quality especially for the price you pay. The only downside is, it's shut half the time.

Food was all made fresh to order. Good prices for the food on the menu and overall food was good.

Waited 2 hours + ended up phoning and cancelling my order.

Ordered food on just eat. Came late I had to ring them. The guy who answered was giving me a lecture. Brother if you're that busy don't accept my order or cancel it. Don't need to be rude. Also I asked for extra chilli sauce you didn't put any on.

Visited Red Cheery after all the Tik Tok hype that surrounds this place. I drove 5 miles to try it and upon arriving the shop is very small as I waited inside for the food. I have to say the smell inside is a bit much for a wait of 40 mins. The food was ok nothing really better than your average kebab shop. The staff was friendly but I wouldn’t go out of my way of going again.

Definitely doesn’t live up to the hype. Expect a long wait for your food, which makes the ship look busy with queues but reality is they are a bit slow. Not really ‘fast food’ as you know it. Owners are very proud to have their customers waiting as it live up to gimmick of headlines. Food wasn’t very flavourful. Cash only - hints as to why they can close for months and go on holiday. Naan bread was homemade and nice though and reasonably priced but not worth travelling or the wait. I’d sooner go to the one over the road on corner.

This place is a Gem serving great food to the locals and beyond. They have a great back story which you can read in house. Located in Levenshulme, Manchester and trading for 30+ years this is a testament to the great food and service alike. We ordered their Red Cherry Massive which consisted of Donner Meat, Seekh Kebab, Chicken Kebab, Chicken Tikka, Chips and Nan all for an amazing price of only £14 👏🏽 The Salad and was also excellent Shanky & Sully are both amazing guys and do a good job in serving up the food generously. The shop was spotless and the service was great, a good menu variety to choose from including kids meals! It's CASH ONLY guys and there's plenty of street parking nearby. I'll be going again and recommend you do too with friends and family 👍🏼 Well done lads you're doing a fantastic job, keep it up 👊🏼

(everything is fresh and made to order, can be seen waiting, so wait times can vary at peak busy times which is understandable, keep up the hardwork boys)

Owner lied to me and was serving regulars in front of the que after I had stood there more than a hour most unorganised shop I've ever been in took over a hour to serve 4 people

Big portions but no flavour. Reasonably priced

5 stars. 1st time there disevening and it was amazing. We got the mighty box, kebab and burgers and it was a 10/10 from us all. Super busy. Wait was quiet long, but well worth it .

Tried the mega box kebab and was blown away The donner definitely reminds you of your childhood in the 90's but with a modern twist dunked into donner sauce with the malai chicken ,chips seek and chicken tikka combo on combo all tasted amazing and fresh most importantly , the portion is huge 'mega' all loaded into a 12" pizza box *just make sure to hold it flat* I did and it still leaked so be cautious Customer service is superb ,very friendly staff , shop is very small and can get very busy so be patient my ONLY negative/ constructive criticism would be is the quality of the donner ,i kept crunching on tiny bones/grit like particles within the donner meat which was effecting my eating experience , maybe a more premium blend of donner would make a great investment. Big up red cherry for smashing out a great kebab and its definitely in my top 10 I will be back

Found so many hairs in the food we ordered. Not good. Please look in to who's hair is falling out in your shop or start wearing hats. What's fake about finding hair in my food?

Amazing place to eat! Staff were good and did help out on what we should order. We got a selection of things, but the mix box was the one! Good on the wallet and nice flavour’s from the spicy donner fries were crunchy salad was fresh! Thumbs up!! #1Recomended!

Red Cherry in Levenshulme have been running since 1985 and has a quote of ‘great food great memories’ and it provides in the form of the Red Cherry Massive kebab! All the grills you’d want on a soft naan, with salad & sauce to complement. The Kobeda was delicious juicy succulent - it’s that perfect Friday evening takeaway They’ve got all the kebab classics burgers and daily curries, and if you love doner - they mix it with their special in-house sauce which taste really good So why not give them a try

Waited over 2 hours for delivery of their massive kebab and it was lukewarm. Donner meat too thick and naan bread burnt in places. The few chips there were had been put under the meat and were cold and soggy. I wanted to try due to all the good reviews but it's definitely not for me.

Firstly the service is on point, the food is fresh clean and where possible cooked and skewered to order. The doner meat is clean, cut thicker than most places and is put in a sauce you can only get from one place and that's here. Chicken tikka and chicken kebab pieces Shanky preps are bigger than anywhere I know of and cooked to perfection and again the sauce on both is his unique flavour. The naan bread again is amazing. I could go on but il end going through the whole menu which isn't extensive but not needed because when you do what you do soooooo good there's no need to have stuff you can get from anywhere. Thats me done thanks to Shanky and the staff for doing what you do and I'll be seeing you soon for my massive massive kebab you know the one pal👊🏽

Been using red cherry since pregnant with my youngest and she's 28 at Christmas, over the years I have never been disappointed, absolutely love the place, the massive kebab is the one 💯👌 and Shanky is just the best, always a little extra in my bag, if you've not tried this place ur missing out

I'll start off with the delivery driver, he was a good lad and very friendly. I've seen all the hype surrounding red cherry so I thought I'd give it a go, WOW just WOW, the sauce he dips the donner meat in is god like. The portion sizes on the £14 mega kebab were huge and would feed 2 people easily. Everything was fresh hot and very tasty. The bossman has been in touch because of my review and he is also an absolutely sound bloke. All in all I would recommend and I will definitely be going back for more 😁

Sorry guys went inside takeaway and one look i ran out the place was very dirty from food all over the floor,food all over the counter,staff aprons were so dirty I have seen builders more cleaner! Sorry very unhygienic....
