A real crafty find in the heart of Wigan

Great pub with an excellent selection of beers. Very chilled atmosphere. There is also a space for private parties and performances at the back.

Lovely staff who are genuinely friendly and a decent variety of beers. I particularly like sours and usually you might get one option (like being a vegetarian in the 1980s/Rochdale) Three sours available to sample and a lovely porter. Toilets immaculate, which, sadly, isn't always a given. Great option to take away canned draught beers. (Disclaimer: toilet reference is only for the ladies, can't speak for the gents)

Cracking pup, great choice of beers, always something new to taste, very friendly staff who always make you feel welcome, chilled atmosphere and we take our Springer Evie who is partial to the Sausage Rolls served.

Don't think they do food as such. Great place,good service, good meeting place for lots of groups and of course big choice of craft beers

It's not really a good pub but they do sell pies nuts crisps ect. It's more of a real ale , great choice, venue

Ossett White Rat had travelled well from West Yorkshire. Presentation was excellent. Unfortunately, not being a regular/familiar face it was challenging to get served. Customer service needs improvement

Lovely place. Beers are wonderful. Food is limited but good. Excellent choice of beer. Very friendly. Still good. The beer selection varies weekly. They have their own canning machine so that you can take home your favourite beer in a can. Brilliant machine.

Nice place.friendly service but all them slanted tables and chairs outside during the week is a waste of time.nobody sirs there.and an accident waiting to happen with the volume of traffic flying past.bad idea.

Wow - what a choice of beers pouring in here - well worth the walk across the ring road. All beers are logged on the Untappd App so you can peruse beforehand.

Thirty keg taps and five cask hand pumps. Great, personal, knowledgeable service. Decent selection. Bonus points for the canning machine - take home any draught beer in a 440ml can - and the tasty looking pies in the warm cabinet. Kid and dog friendly with a nice vibe. You can bring your own food in or have it delivered too. If I lived in Wigan, I'd be a regular here.

Great choice of beers, changed regularly so lots of choice. Brilliant staff that know their job, great music and best of all dog friendly.

Great selection of modern craft beers, ciders and well kept traditional cask. Nice venue with lots of seating and a range of food it you fancy a pie or a snack.

A must visit place. They have lots of options for drinks and the vibe is also good. They also have a private party area where you can have a blast with your friends. The toilets are also kept clean. I was surprised and so happy to see pads kept in the ladies toilet.

Dog-friendly neighbourhood bar with a cracking craft beer selection (keg and cask), a great rotation of guest beers and regular live music too. The bar staff are knowledgeable and friendly, they post regular updates on Facebook about upcoming events. My only reason for giving it 4 stars is the doggy element - I love dogs but I'm allergic so I usually have a sneezing fit not long after I go in. But aside from that, it's a great place.

Absolute belter of a place. Incredible beer selection

This is a lovely, friendly bar - in line the ‘crafty’ name, it had a wide range of craft beers including some from abroad but also a number of cask ales. It’s clearly favoured by CAMRA and rightly so. I was only here for one night but went back for a second visit after the football match I was attending. I also had a pie which was nice and it’s dog-friendly. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Love Crafty. Staff are very friendly and certainly know their stuff too. Definitely recommend if you enjoy craft beer. Dog friendly too.

It's always exciting to visit and see what guest beers are on! It's always an adventure! The staff are very friendly and helpful, whenever I ask for the strongest beer on draft. Highly recommended!

Sunday 2nd July 2023 This place I visited A propper locals real ale pub This public house served plenty of interesting hand pumped ales on All were well kept and the pub had a open plan feeling to it leading to the bar with a easy going feel to the place Played music which was 1980s feel to it Reminiscent of bands I watched and still do Great place in Wigan to drink great real ales👍👍

Voted Best Pub in 2022 and no wonder!! Great location, off the main town centre within walking distance of train station and bus station and with parking space outside. An old building, that the owner has sympathetically restored, thus keeping that charm that's being lost on many of these revamped pubs and bars. But the very best part, is the VAST selection of lager, REAL ALE and cider that is on offer inside. Quality beers, kept properly and treated with respect and the result is quality pint after quality pint! If you want Fosters and Carling, stick to Weatherspoons!! But it you're a purveyor of quality lager, ale and cider, the Real Crafty is where you should be!!

Excellent selection of cask ales (5) and keg (30). It's worth the extra few minutes to walk to this pub which is just outside the town centre. The pub is Manchester Regional Pub of the year 2022 and Wigan local branch winner twice.

Nice and cosy with a large range of Beers and ales, i recommend a pint of Fruli, this venue is extremely dog friendly with many adorable pups walking around saying hello as you enjoy a pint, all in all its a great atmosphere and i strongly recommend for beer and animal lovers.

Simply one of the best places in Wigan for a good beer. That's it, that's the review.

This place will be nice during summer or football match . Massive especially at the back and drinks at the bar with a food catalogue opposite the bar,located somewhere around the podium. Drinks priced as other bars anyways but a nice local bar to go. And parking is also free during weekends for car owners.

Only second time I have been in but a great atmosphere and the real ale was fab staff very friendly xx

Really lovely pub, and they really know their beer. Huge ale and cider menu, they made some great recommendations for us to try, and the background music was quiet enough so our group could have a proper chat. It had a great atmosphere with really friendly locals and loads of lovely dogs.

Been coming here since day one and always feel welcome. The staff are great, polite and very knowledgeable. Much needed addition to the growing craft scene and long may it be one of my local watering holes.

Picked up Kate after her catch up with former work colleagues. They were having a drink in the Real Craft which I remember as a former British legion and it was very convivial in a no frills way

It wasn't love at first sight but the place has grown on me. The pints can be pricey but you can't fault the variety. They keep changing the beers over faster than I can try them all.
