The dishes were hit and miss and so was the service. We had a dish of skate which appeared to be off - a bad taste. We told the waitress and she just smirked, which felt extremely rude. Overall: quite average.

We had the loveliest time -great vibe with wonderful music, kind souls and smiles for staff, and excellent food. The pickles and bread were great starters, we loved the blood orange starter as well as the mozzarella and artichoke, followed by excellent veal and lamb. Great dessert selection too. Everything is easy to share...and is so much more than just food. Thanks very much!

Rawduck has been on my “to go” list for a while and I thought what better time to go than valentines. Although I think I would have preferred elsewhere. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, but the host made us feel like it was. There’s sharing tables and we were seating right next to another couple even though there were empty two tables available which is a shame for valentines night. Service was slow. Took a while to take our order. Food was nice. Good quality ingredients but nothing new or unique. The ratio to labneh and flatbread was a shame- 4 small pieces of bread with a bucket load of labneh. The fried chicken was delicious and 100% our favourite dish. The beef ragu however seemed like a very cheap and average dish that we got charged £18 for. We waited a while for our second drinks. We then waited again for our plates to be cleared. Then when they did no one came over to us again. No dessert menu. No drink offer. No tea or coffee. We flagged someone down but by then we didn’t want anything else so just asked for the bill. Any other night it would be fine but Valentine’s Day, it was disappointing.

Had a really good meal here on Saturday evening - I was a little worried after seeing some less than complimentary reviews but it was fab. I loved the menu.In particular we really enjoyed the pickles and the speck to start. But the standout dish was the lamb which was perfect. The cheesecake for desert was delicious too.Decent drinks selection, including kombucha cocktails!The service we received was very attentive and polite - my only gripe would be that our plates were swept away so quickly, in some cases where we were still eating, which made the meal feel a bit rushed. Overall a really nice experience, we'll be back!

The food is excellent here but, as always, the service is appalling. Every time I have come here I have had to wait a long time for coffees and food, and often have to remind waiters of my orders. It's such a shame -- this would be such a good place if they could just get their service right.

Unfortunately, by midday on a Sunday they had run out of the two things my friend and I both wanted to order. It was such a shame, as my friend was vegetarian so left a very minimal choice for breakfast/brunch after that other. They were the two most interesting dishes which seems that they would not stock better for this.

I booked a large table here and enjoyed my experience from start to beginning. Richard and his team were fabulous and Tom is a genius :) Everyone was flexible with us and the food was delicious and plentiful. We left stuffed. I've read comments about bad customer service which i think is a shame. We had a staff member that was starting that day and of course they were slower and not confident. I think the same people called Raw Duck pretentious but anyone that makes comments about junior staff on here are most likely the pretentious ones.. I can guarantee that all the people from my group will return to Raw Duck on their own accord as they really loved the food and the layout of the venue.

Lovely place with yummy food but we had pretty crappy service, none of our starters arrived, a few other things were super slow to arrive and we had to remind the waiter. We waited about half an hr for the bill to arrive and when it did the waiter rolled his eyes because our table of 7 wanted to pay separate which isn’t uncommon. We should have asked for the service charge to be removed, we did not complain when things didn’t show up and when the bill arrived so late so for him to roll his eyes at us is very rude, so now I have taken time out to give my first ever bad review.

Came here on a date an was very pleased. The food was excellent, very fresh, and innovative. The breads were terrific, the veal ragu was the best I can remember, and the labne was fluffy and delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive but not intrusive or irritable. Drinks and wine list were great.My only quibble was the music, which at times was too loud for easy conversation, even with my date next to me at the corner of the communal table.

Some well put together dishes. Executed very well. Bone marrow butter was a let down as was the gnocchiette. The rage isn’t a ragun. The pappardelle too hard and thick. No finesse. Similar for all the other desserts,except for the baked cheesecake which was fantastic. So beautiful. <br />The fried chicken and the accompanying sauce was fantastic so was the anchovy toastie. We will be back to taste the rest of the menu. The beetroot gin was a beautiful revelation. Overall a good experience.

Last week we visited RawDuck for the second time having had a wonderful experience earlier this year, expecting the same when bringing other family along to join for a celebratory meal. We were disheartened to have had a totally different and very much disappointing time, which will no doubt put us off from returning. <br /><br />Though we appreciate Friday evenings are a busy time for any restaurant, waiting 90 minutes for three small plates to arrive at the table is something we have never encountered elsewhere. Having the blame for that delay shifted onto us by the waiter for the 'way it was ordered' upon asking for an update on the food however, is totally unacceptable. If by simply asking to order mains after finishing starters makes any difference to the serving time of said starters, we would be happy to hear how. Regardless, wrongly being blamed for delays as paying - and returning - customers is totally unwarranted, when the request simply should not (and clearly does not) make any difference to the way the food is served. <br /><br />We had set our expectations high for a special occasion - it is truly a shame that we left feeling like we were the restaurant's burden.

My brother and I met for a casual meal and thought we would try RawDuck, as we live very nearby and haven’t yet given it a go. We arrived and got sat quickly, drinks and starter orders were taken. My brother ordered a negroni, which was half the size you would expect for a cocktail - he was disappointed to say the least and had finished it within 5 minutes. The starters we ordered arrived in good time however, and were very tasty.<br /><br />However, our main orders were taken and after half an hour, without anyone coming to take another drinks order or bring our mains, we mentioned to a waitress that we still hadn’t received our food. She said she went to check with the kitchen but no update was given. 15 minutes after this we asked the same waitress - she went to the kitchen but once again, did not update. After one hour of waiting for our main courses we flagged down the manager, who checked with the kitchen and then returned to say our order was not there at all. He asked what we’d ordered and then after checking in with the chefs returned to tell us they had run out of ingredients to make said orders. <br /><br />Needless to say, we left unsatisfied, and went to a local Vietnamese for a takeaway, which was ready in 5 minutes!

Really consistently amazing food, on the more expensive side, but always come back for the delicious food. You'll need to be patient though, it's always a long wait for the food and the service is much to be desired. We've been coming for a couple of years now, service is slow and often seem a bit confused and overwhelmed. But the food is always amazing and Kombucha also tasty!! Would love to see an improvement of the service would definitely give a 5* then!

First visit to Raw Duck and I wasn't disappointed. Lovely restaurant space, nice ambience, really liked the décor in particular the plants and flowers dotted around. We were given a nice welcome and looked after. The small plates were delicious and we enjoyed an unfiltered white wine from Sicily.

I told the manageress the plates were all drowning in olive oil and that the steak dish was so rare it was practically uncooked, and my date could eat it but i couldn't. i said it would have been appreciated if the waitress had told us that beforehand or we wouldn't have ordered it. I got a limp reply ands that was it. You would have thought she would have offered us a free desert or 10% off but nothing. Bit disappointing. The car wash outside is also really loud and an unfortunate placement so close to this business.

When I walked in, I was immediately won over by the lovely candle-lit ambience, plants, and large communal tables. The menu also looked exciting and promising. Unfortunately the food and portions felt a bit off for the type of restaurant we were expecting. For £8-9 a small plate, and around £20 a main, the flavours were average and portions off.<br /><br />The waiter recommended 4-5 small plates and a main for 2 people. We ordered 2 small plates, pickles and a main. The taramasalata was a nice starter, however the amount of dip we got could've fed an entire table. The fried chicken was delicious and probably our favourite. The lamb steak was delicious too, however it was almost an obscene amount of lamb. We could barely get through half of it. Overall the experience felt a bit off compared to the pricing. For £100+ (incl. wine), we were left a bit disappointed.

Lots of staff gazing up at the ceiling. Nice range of drinks tho. Heard great things but would not recommend or return, sadly.

Being charged £8.50 for "Labneh, dukka & charred flatbread", which really was just a plate of flat breads with a few garnishes (predominantly toasted hazelnuts), encapsulated the paucity of the experience for me - an overpriced and pretentious menu which appeared to seek to put the customer on the back foot by not properly describing the dishes. This isn't to say that there weren't some good flavours going on, however, overall I was left disappointed. Will not be returning... Oh, and 2 of our entourage (who incidentally aren't known for being gluttons) ended up seeking a kebab on the way home, despite having parted with £45 a head at the restaurant. Not good enough.

I've been living here for 9 months and I can't believe I just found this place! The food is incredible! They sort of specialize in pickled and fermented things, which I love. They even have their own house kombucha which my nutritionist swears by. I've been twice this week, and will definitely go back.

Lovely interior and ambience, super menu, service lacking somewhat. 20 minutes wait for coffees, when a wrong order arrived and I volunteered what I had actually ordered, the waitress informed me that she 'only had two hands'. Our order got misplaced in the kitchen, so everything took a long time, but the food was delicious and overall it's a good spot.

Whilst offering a really interesting menu and tasty food, Rawduck was a gigantic waste of money and huge disappointment. We went on a Saturday afternoon, granted a busy time to go but the capability of the team to manage the rush was beyond hilarious. The worst part of the whole experience was the mardy waitress on some kind of power trip to keep people waiting if they even so much as looked like they might be after a drink, purposely delaying taking orders, bringing complete drink orders over, or even bothering to replenish cutlery. The manager, whilst making vague attempts to appease us after we had waited 40 minutes to get anywhere near some food and drinks, did very little to amend the situation or the attitude of the staff. <br />The drinks were extortionately expensive and made the bill pretty outrageously priced. The food was delicious, but honestly not worth the stress and completely galling to have to hand over cash for such a poor show.

The restaurant was cold inside. All the cooked dishes came to the table rather cold. Some dishes on the menu were not correct, drinks weren’t available from the menu and the wine list when read to us was super unhelpful. A few wines were described as ‘interesting’ .... overall massively disappointed as I’d heard so many great things. Shame. I wouldn’t return or recommend this place

I have to be as transparent as possible, its Friday night, and a friend of mine has decided that 4pm that day is the best time to look around East London for a table for 10. Hindsight blah, blah. I can usually forgive a few things at a restaurant when you bring in such a large party, food orders mildly incorrect, a missing drink, or the bourguignon having been spilled down the sides and spoiling your off-white chinos from the 2017 winter sale at ASOS. But knowing the kitchen staff are likely laughing to the bank when I order the Iberico tomatoes, fried garlic, butterbeans & wild oregano for £8.50, is an insult.

Went to Rawduck on Valentines day and the atmosphere was wonderful! Music was great and the food was amazing!! The Ox Tail from the small plates and Roast Skate from the mains were delightful highlights, and the cheesecake with candied blood orange and pistachio was mind-blowingly good. Will definitely be back and been recommending it to everyone I know!

Acabamos de terminar un desayuno delicioso aquí con mi novia. Tuvimos el pan plano dukka, miel, patatas y pistacho con curry, sal, carne y huevos, y kimchi, arroz integral y huevos soleado. Absolutamente delicioso.

Un ambiente moderno e accogliente. Personale davvero gentile. Ottimo il manzo e L’ agnello. Anche una buona carta dei vini. Ristorante vero. Non turistico, a due passi da Broadway Market. Se siete in zona il posto giusto dove mangiare con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Non perdetevi il pollo fritto. Ottimo, asciutto.

As usual poor service. Had to ask for menu, to be served, for bill and then large service charge added!<br />Fantastic food. <br />This is always the same at Raw Duck.
