Rav's Fish Bar in Sunderland

Pizza was gorgeous, unfortunately one of the wraps they screwed up as I asked for chilly sauce but instead they used garlic sauce so that had to go in the bin. Thanks to the boss for delivering my order.

Food was piping hot, quick delivery which arrived earlier than expected time given

Last time I use this chip shop, hard stale tasteless chips. Cold gravy, the best thing was the ready made microwaved pie and overpriced cans of pop. Oh and they prefer cash for obvious reasons ;) Never again Below average

chips were nice, the battered sausages tasted funny and to have the nerve to charge £6 for what i discovered to be a frozen ah bisto lasagne ready is rediculouse. if i wanted a ready meal i would of just took one out the freezer at home to microwave

food was horrendous! chips mushy and the batter on this fish was soggy the fish also had a strange taste to top the curry sauce was watery and almost see through!whole lot went into the bin! definitely won't be ordering again

Great quality food. kebab meat was perfect not greasy and cooked just right and pizza was good gutted you couldn't change the sauce on the pizza on a meal time deal but it is what it is. great food and the delivery handed the food over perfectly

Absolutely horrible. Worst cheesy chips I've ever had. Chips were dry and burnt. Very little cheese on.

Ordered large fish and chips was tiny and absolutely disgusting the smell of ‘fish’ was just off putting from the start the batter was like nothing I’ve ever had before. Scampi was over cooked on the outside and slimy inside. I’ll never order from here again very. Totally rank and a waste of money for food that’s inedible.

Hate to say it but the batter on me fish wasn't crispy at all. I also felt that the chips should've been cooked for longer. Overall I was pretty disappointed. The gravy was good though to be fair. Also the Mrs got a corned beef pattie and she enjoyed it so could be worse. Wouldn't get the fish and chips again though.

Chips tasted as so they had been reheated from dinner time other than that the rest was delicious

Ordered chicken tikka, received a phone call advising this was not available. Ordered another Mediterranean chicken, which was all chicken thighs and really poor quality chicken, couldn’t eat it and all went in the bin

I never write a review but this was sooo good. The kebab meat was lovely thin tasty shreds. The garlic sauce actually tasted of garlic. Mainly leaving this review to remind myself to choose this place again!

Ordered what was supposed to be a large fish but very disappointed hardly any fish at all won't be ordering from here again even the fish bites had a tiny bit of fish in.

Just tried Rav’s fish bar for the 1st ….. and unfortunately the last time , waited for a LARGE cod to be cooked , LARGE !!!! 😂 , I’ve had bigger small cod, my wife cut into her half the fish and did y find much fish !!! , the chips weren’t hot either and the curry sauce was nice but cold !!! , my drive home was only 1/2 mile , god knows how cold it would have been if it had been delivered !!!! , looks like we’ll go back to Donwell chippy or Ritz at Columbia, thought we’d give it a try , wasted my money , DONT WASTE YOURS !!!!!!!!!!

Disappointing. I ordered one large and one regular fish and chips, but both were regular sizes. There was no difference at all. The large one was ordered to share between two people, but we both ended up with a small meal each, plus all of the food was barely warm with the fish pieces being greasy and soggy. I served up but we all had to re heat the food as it was just not hot enough to eat.

Pizza was a little bit to done on the bottom you could taste where it had been cooked to long but the kebab was lovely.

If your a pizza fan don't look any further than Ravs, the fresh pizza dough is outstanding, delivery was really fast, now my fav takeaway thank you..

Was charged £12 for a 10 inch margarita and 3 fish bites even tho it was £7.90 on justeat when collected I said I've only got a 10inch pizza and 3 fish bites she said yes £12 so prices must of went up but not on just eat????

Food was very oily and burnt. Tasted stale and horrible. Never order again.

Plain Mediterranean Chicken Kebab - Covered in vile oil, with oily onions and peppers through the chicken which IS NOT chicken breast. So stringy and full of cartilage. Wish I could upload pictures on here. I wouldn't feed it to an animal. Looks and tastes like greasy dog meat. Rang to ask why the title says PLAIN when the chicken is covered in grease and oil, only to be shouted at and hung up on. We order from Rav's at least once a week, (second time this week) will NEVER, EVER be back. Obviously they don't care about loyal customers. Always order big as well, never under £30. Their loss, I'm sure I'll find somewhere just as nice who care about their customers and don't serve sub standard meat.

You can tell its real fresh pizza dough and not the frozen rubbish other restaurants use, I highly recomend the 🍕 🍕 🍕

Chips burnt like they'd been on hot plate for hours batter on fish very greasy no 1 bit crispy n cold pizza pizza was OK even tho had 2 heat it up

Not happy with the food quality at all. Chips were burnt and was swimming in grease and all mushed together in a ball. We rang the shop and got the couldn't care less attitude and told to refund through just eat.

Both pizza’s were not what we ordered, called the shop and he wanted us to return them, the hung up me, poor service

Food was good but charging £4 delivery for less than a half a mile journey is disgusting. Won't be ordering again because of this.

Great service, had a little hiccup however lady on phone dealt with it immediately without any issues. Driver was pleasant too. Thumbs up from us 🙂

Ordered the box special. The chips were cold and white...didnt taste good either. The pizza was supposed to be bolognese with pepperoni. The cheese was off half of the pizza and no bolognese to be seen. The kebab meat was ok though

Food is always gorgeous from hear but unfortunately they were cold. We have ordered fish n chips a few times but twice they have been cold, when they are hot they are so lovely.

The food just wasn’t very nice the chips were dry as if they’d been microwaved, the battered sausage was soggy and soaked in grease. The pizza tasted cheap and nasty and the kebabs were tasteless and the burger tasted like it came out of a tin it was an absolute waste of money.

Enjoyed my pizza shame that the garlic bread with mushrooms was missing the mushrooms

Best food ever as usual. It’s the first time that I’ve got a Chop Suey Roll from Rav’s and it was the best one I’ve ever had. It wasn’t greasy at all. So lovely, I’ll definitely be ordering again. Thanks Rav’s.

Absolutely terrible. The meal box and pizza itself had a funny smell to it, smelt like out of date cheese and not happy at all about the food. Do NOT order from here.
