Delicious food - the home baking is at patisserie level! A good range of hot meals - filling and fresh. Nice touches like a side salad that was really mixed and interesting. A light, airy space right in the middle of Perth. Lovely charitable organisation well worth your support!

Great friendly service and the most delicious french onion soup, with a scummy panini. Highly recommend this cafe to any vegans

No amount of virtue-signalling ..."vegan", "social enterprise", "socially isolated"... makes up for a food-handler handling a dog. Doubtless they washed their hands thoroughly afterwards but... I saw them handle the dog but didn't see them wash and it was very disconcerting. The food was nicely presented but my vegan Coronation "Chic'n" was bland, caricature vegan to an omnivore.

We are truly blessed to have this wonderful vegan café in Perth! The food is scrumptious and the owner and her staff are just lovely. I can attest to her kindness in particular as she was incredibly caring towards me about my little cat having been injured. She really is the best! (My kitty is fine now, thank goodness!) As for the food, well, I love it. The macaroni cheeze and garlic bread are amazing and NOBODY knows how to make chips like the chef at Rascals. Today, having eaten there many times, I finally tore myself away from my favourite macaroni and had a delicious panini instead. I plan to make my way through the whole menu now - over time!!

We stopped off in Perth to get lunch and had a fantastic meal at Rascals. The salad bowl is delicious, the soup of the day was superb, and we both went for the dessert which was an apple crumble tart with custard, but there was also a very tempting selection of cakes available. The Earthy Wonder smoothie is sublime.

First visit to this delightful restaurant. I would give it 10 stars if I could. From the moment we arrived we knew how wonderful our experience would be. The delightful lady who greeted us was lovely! We had a lovely chat. The food also deserves 10 stars. We both had vegan salad bowls, absolutely delicious! If I lived in Perth I would visit every day!

After traipsing around Perth looking for a place for lunch we found this amazing cafe serving simple but ever so tasty food... We're not vegan but we didn't miss meat. The french onion soup was intense and my wife had the soup of the day which was potato and watercress. Delicious as were the open sandwiches. Staff were extremely welcoming and there is a lovely chilled atmosphere... The social ethos is an added bonus. We don't live in Perth but we would definitely visit again.

My husband and I live in Perth and are doing our best to support local businesses in the area. We finally made our way to Rascals and it did not disappoint. They have a wonderful ethos and message - make sure to check out their website outlining their social enterprise. The food we had was fantastic: I had the full breakfast and hubbie had the mac n cheeze. Neither of us are exclusively vegan but really enjoyed our meals - flavourful and filling! Highly recommend and will be doing so to friends and family passing through.

We had lunch here and took out sandwiches for our tea. The food is really special - ranging from rich indulgences to healthy options. The cakes and pastries are delicious. It raises money for charity so you can feel good about having all these treats!

I came with my family for my mums birthday and the food was incredible. We started with a beautiful baked warm focaccia and then proceeded to have several mains. The seabass was exceptionally fo fresh, soft, and full of lovely light flavours. The pasta bosco was cooked perfectly, with an incredible taste and so creamy and good-sized portion. Great service, the staff were so friendly and the actual restaurant is very cute. 100% would recommend!

Popped in for a couple of sandwiches, lovely thick bread, absolutely overloaded with filling of choice & salad. Freshly made while you wait, brilliant for the price you pay. So good couldn't eat it all,& had the rest later on that evening. Plenty of other options to choose from, wraps, baked potatoes, panines. Worth waiting in the queue for.

I came for lunch with my father and received a very warm welcome in an elegant restaurant. The food served was very good for a reasonable price. Pleasantly surprised by the little touches (a bottle of water served as soon as ours was finished, and fries served in a hot dish so they wouldn't get cold). These little details make the experience even better. I highly recommend it!

Having discovered The Tickled Trout on a dog walk, returned about 3pm on a busy Sunday knowing that only the table for 8 can be pre booked. I’m told that at busy times, there’s not usually long to wait. What an amazing setting! From the main car park, it’s only a 60 second path traverse alongside the sluice gate controlled trout fisheries which is interesting to see. There is disabled parking at the front door. The old building is very spacious and rustic inside. The main burn (stream) openly runs through the insides and out and under large glass windows! Lots of attentive staff who seated us at comfy chesterfield sofas immediately and the dogs were warmly welcomed. There was also a Bichon Frise, Schnauzer and placid Doberman present! Our waitress explained that they hold Pilates classes in the cavernous space upstairs. Sadly after a busy afternoon and with only an hour to go prior to closing, some menu items were finished, such as the much lauded Trout Fishcakes and other all day breakfast items. Given the time, I completely understand this. However there were plenty of light bite options, tray bakes, including some gluten free Rocky Road, and a Stewart Dairies Ice Crème stand. I was tempted by a fruit scone but they only offer butter and jam so I took Malteser Ice Cream. I’d suggest offering clotted cream and jam for their scones as well which would be better received. We ordered the soup of the day which was Honeyed Parsnip and IT WAS TO DIE FOR!!!!! Thick, large bowl and homemade. 1st class. Latte in a tall cup was hot and delicious. So all in all, we will definitely be back. Thank you! (Closed Mondays snd Tuesdays if I heard correctly)
