RapChar in Lambeth

I have been to a few West Indian places, but this one was just 10/10 being a vegan the food was just out of this world!! Surely up for the best restaurant in London, just ridiculously good. The staff 10/10 The cooks 10/10 Only one thing I wanted to stay all night and eat everything vegan on the menu!! A Fabulous evening.

The only reason to visit this restaurant is the food, the actual restaurant is small and cramped, the service is slow and extremely frustrating. The lady serving me brought me an unopened bottle of coke, I had to ask her what I was supposed to use to open it! But the food is special in this place and beautifully presented. The food is a 5 and rest a 3.

I love everything about this cozy place it's small but cozy and you definitely need to book, we had a problem with our booking but the chef very quickly worked this out for us and we got a seat at the counter. The chef is in my opinion the best Caribbean chef in London his food is tasty not overly spicy but flavored and presentable to high standards. He comes out and interacts with people and he supports the staff I ate ackee fish cakes and mutton for coconut rice portions were enough for me to take home which is fabulous For the price it's totally worth it!.. Rum n raisin ice cream yum The rum punch reminded me of being in St Lucia it's perfect So in a nutshell I'm a big fan of this place and my partner and I will return again I'm thinking of booking for my birthday and would not hesitate to book this place again.

I have been to this resturant on a few date night , but tonight decided to bring my parents ...who are brutal when it comes to other people cooking carribean food . They hardly eat out ..BUT they had nothing but praise for the food . Customer service was excellent . I have recommended this restaurant to quite a few people from work colleagues to extended family and the feedback has been amazing .Will definitely be back

The food was out of this world! Best meal I had during my visit. The food was so flavorful and the customer service was exceptional! Highly recommend and will be going back whenever I get the chance!!

We went to celebrate a birthday on a cold January evening and enjoyed a warm welcome and a generous feast of tasty, beautifully presented food. The jerk chicken platter was wiped clean as the sauce was so yummy. The salad was colourful, the mac&cheese bubbled over the top of its pot. There was enough food that some needed to be taken home in order not to waste any.

We booked for 8 pm , unfortunately with everyone else . One waitress , one drinks maker Dreadful service waited 40 minutes before drink order taken which then took a further 20 minutes , food order then taken waited over an hour , stone cold plantain , gristly goat curry which made me gag . The place has the most awful acoustics. All this for £60 a head

Excellent food. Excellent food. Excellent food. It was so good a I had to say excellent 3 times. Service with a smile. The one thing that lets it down is the long long wait for the meals. If they can fix this then it my top go to Caribbean Restaurant.

Dinned here for catch up with friends. The seating area is small and well decorated. Once we were all seated our host welcomed us with drinks. Menu was great! Very hard to chose from the selection on offer. Great selection of fish and seafood. On this occasion the chef was unable to offer the usual staple of rice and peas (your secret is safe!) which made us choice other options which did not disappoint. The prawn risotto...chef kiss! The fish dishes were delicious. Lovely services, great menu lovely evening. We will be back!

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at RapChar on 9/12. It was my first time in Brixton, and I spent my birthday with my sister Andrea and nieces Althea and Ashley. I ordered Braised Ox, Mac and Cheese, salad, Plantains and rice and peas. I was blown away by the taste of the food, the flavor was excellent. There are so many times that you decide to eat out and are disappointed by the food, not a chance here, the food is great. If we had an extra day of vacation, we would have returned for dinner a 2nd night. At the end of dinner, we were joined by our new friend Mark from St. Ermin’s. The food presentation and service were top notch. I would love to eat here again so on my next visit to London I will seek out this restaurant. I have already recommended it to several people. Ambience was excellent background music 🎶 was really good. The food was on point, I had the buttered prawns 🍤 for my starter, jerked chicken 🍗 and rice & peas as the main and bourbon apple 🍎 crumble for dessert. Every dish was excellent 👌🏾. The rum 🍹 punch was also very good. I would definitely recommend. I have been here twice and both visits were exceptional
