Rangrez in Hammersmith and Fulham

We came here for our Scout Leaders Christmas Party - there was 9 of us and they managed to seat us altogether. The restaurant is small - but, it’s very cosy. We ordered a real variety of dishes and it all arrived swiftly. It was incredibly tasty - and, the portions were fabulous. We had a lovely evening.

A disappointing experience. The food was perfectly satisfactory if unremarkable and portions on the small side. The bill included a particularly optimistic 13.5% service charge whereas the service provided was frankly barely adequate, despite the place not being all that busy on a Wednesday night.

I was passing by on a cold night looking to eat when I came upon Rangrez, a lovely small, family run restaurant. It looks very cosy from the outside, and it offers a very warm, friendly and professional welcome inside. There are numerous awards certificates on the walls, which I always look for. The menu is not too extensive, meaning that the food is cooked fresh and to order. My biriani and naan bread was excellent, and was served quickly. The atmosphere was very calm and convivial, with locals eating in twos and threes, mentioning that they will be back again soon. Always a good sign. The prices were very good and I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely return.

We dropped by for a late lunch on Saturday last. We were immediately made comfortable by the warm welcome from the young man behind the bar. Without being asked he brought me a glass of water when I coughed just after we sat down. Later he brought me some cold spiced mango chutney with a spoon saying it would be good for my throat and as recommended by his Mother. He gave us good recommendations from the menu and explanations of the dishes. The menu is not large compared to some Indian restaurants, I think this a bonus! My son always has Chicken Tikka Masala, always, always. This was far better than usual, one could taste the cardamom, see the fresh coriander stirred through it. I was really only there to feed my son after we had spent a long morning moving him to a flatshare nearby, so I don't think we did the menu justice, but what we had we enjoyed tremendously. The biggest joy was to find proper Indian desserts. Splendid, superb Gulab Jamum, and equally good carrot halva. They make these themselves, and it really shows, one can buy them in Indian shops but these were far lighter than usually found. You really must try these if you haven't before. I am not a Kulfi fan, my son enjoyed it but to my mind ice cream is ice cream, if you have the chance go for something really different, especially when as good as this! To the lovely young man who served us, thank you.

Excellent hospitality and TRUE INDIAN FOOD TASTE. Although there are many restaurants claiming to be Indian in UK but they are not. This restaurant has every thing authentic about it. Worse food you will ever eat.. over priced cheap garbage, owners where rude and disrespectful, the food took an eternity to arrive and was certainly not worth the wait avoid at all costs.

Had some amazing Indian food in London. Very Attentive customer service, food was just amazing, loved the authentic butter chicken and chicken biryani. Had a chance to meet the chef, what an amazing person, he personally asked our preference of spice and tailored the food accordingly. Don't forget to order the mix and match if you crave for dessert.

I stopped by this restaurant before going next door to a concert at Apollo Hammersmith, as I was not in a hurry I advised the staff and they said not a problem, food was excellent, I dined on a vegetarian curry, service was friendly and fast, I shall visit again in the future, well done and thank you !

A chance find. Outstanding poppadums and chutneys. So often an expensive way to buy poorer than at home. Delightful waitress, intelligent, thoughtful, helpful. Loved my Punjabi choley. A real find. We plan to go back.

We were looking for a quick bite to eat before going to a concert at Eventim Apollo and stumbled across Rangrez and thought we’d give it a go. The food was fantastic, full of flavour with the spices balanced to perfection. Surprisingly, this was some of the best Asian food I’ve had in quite awhile. Highly recommend.

Very disappointing, this was the worst Indian restaurant I’ve been to. Food was overpriced, loads of unappetising sauce, very little chicken in my dish, my daughter had a fish dish ( spot the fish! )which was also swamped in disgusting looking sauce. The final straw was going down the grubby stairs to the toilet, the kitchen is also down stairs! Our whole experience was awful, such a waste of money. I refused to pay the service charge, I think they are having a laugh!

Terrible food, I don't believe it's an authentic Indian restaurant, it's like every other Curry house in London, which is alright unless you go there thinking to get authentic Indian food.

Once again Rangerez was amazing. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My wife had the Salmon (signature dish) and is still raving about it !! What amazing food! Truly one of the best saag paneers I've ever had. Incredibly good quality rice. Naans were the right combo of fluffy & crispy. Decor smart. And the passionate owner / head chef walks the restaurant to chat about the food & get feedback. Really impressed.

Rangrez is phenomenal. From the polite and friendly staff to the top shelf food, they push Indian food in new directions, setting themselves apart from the multitudes of other Indian restaurants. If you’re interested in Indian food, make them a priority.
