Kathmandu Inn Tandoori in Hammersmith and Fulham

Delicious and authentic Nepalese cuisine (family run). Soothing, quiet, warm and cozy atmosphere, served by friendly and accommodating staff. I ordered their chilli chicken tilkka masala, chicken choila, pilau rice and nan and loved all my dishes very much - nicely seasoned, spicy and fresh. Highly recommended and eager to return.

This used to be the only place I’d order a takeaway curry, the quality of food and portion size was unmatched by any competitors in the area. But this evening is the second time I’ve been extremely disappointed, straight from the off the containers are 2/3 full and now have a sealed on plastic film lid like a pre prepared microwave meal. The chicken in my Tikka masala was tough and the sauce was flavourless, the saagaloo was 90% spinach and in general the meal was far lower grade than it used to be. Time to find a new curry house.

Really good stuff. Not sure if it’s an Indian or Nepalese but it DOESNT MATTER! A genuinely good curry. Just good to be out again to be honest.

A real flavour of Nepal’s finest treats! Relaxed and welcoming, the service is thorough and the staff are very kind, patient and have generous hospitality:) Kathmandu Inn is a family-run restaurant that serves delicious food! The menu has plenty for meat-eaters, pescatarian and vegetarians alike. I would gladly return and recommend to everyone to try out- particularly the Momo dumplings, just WOW! Peshwari Naan and the authentic Nepali dishes are so tasty:)

We are vegetarians and like the Kathmandu Inn because the vegetable dishes are beautifully cooked, using fresh vegetables and spices. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is always tasty.

Amazing food. My favourite Indian in all of London. We drive in all the way from Buckinghamshire for it. Prawn puri and onion bagels bhaji are to die for.

recently went to restaurant and had an amazing experience. The waitress was exceptionally humble and helpful, making us feel incredibly welcomed. Her attentive service really stood out. And the food? Absolutely banging. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving delicious Nepali cuisine and top-notch service!

First time at this Restaurant and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and tasty. We asked for the mains to be made spicy and it came out the way we like it. The veggie momo jhol was amazing. The only criticism I’d say is the wine cost quite a bit for a bottle that cost £7 in a supermarket. I would happily pay the price for decent bottle. We were a bit worried after reading the last reviews but, the restaurant is definitely Nepalese and serves authentic Nepalese food. I will definitely be going back.

Both the food and service were excellent. In our party we shared dishes and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Great value for money.

Delicious Nepalese food (Indian menu). The food here is so good, I come in from Uxbridge to eat here with my family or when Im at Westfield etc. Authentic food and really friendly people that go out of their way to make sure I am happy every time. Parking is pretty easy too Massive Bonus when travelling in. This is not a Curry House, its a little Treasure!

This place is over. I used to love it - best curry in the area - but the old Napali chap who used to run it has moved on and now it's run by a Chinese family. They're very nice, but have no idea about Nepalese or even Indian cuisine. My food this evening was bland and sweet and apart from the odd lone chilli, not remotely spicy. It's a shame to say it after 20 years, but I won't be returning,

Meals are microwaved! Our dining experience at Kathmandu Inn was unfortunately far from what I had anticipated. Upon our arrival for our 9:30 PM booking, the first thing we noticed was an unpleasant odour pervading the restaurant, which was surprising given its closing time of 11 PM. Our initial order of a bottle of water raised eyebrows as well, as the bottle seemed to have been opened prior to being served to us, making us question its freshness. The main courses we ordered arrived lukewarm, leading us to suspect that our meals had been microwaved rather than freshly prepared. The flavors did not seem fresh, and the overall quality of the food did not live up to our expectations. Additionally, the service felt rushed. Our waitress seemed eager to clear our plates before we had finished our meals, adding to our overall discomfort. Regrettably, I cannot recommend Kathmandu Inn based on this experience. The combination of the ambiance, questionable service practices, and the quality of food left us feeling disappointed. It's a shame, as we had hoped for a much more enjoyable Nepalese dining experience.

I loved the food here! The lamb Nepal curry was creamy, well spiced and sweet from the mango. The vegetarian momos in soup were also nice, but I bet the lamb ones are even better. Service was a little slow for a Tuesday evening considering there was nobody else in the restaurant, but the staff were friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable as well. I’ll note that the allergy icons on the menu probably can’t be trusted — several dishes on the menu clearly contain lactose and even listed cottage cheese as an ingredient, but weren’t appropriately flagged with the menu’s lactose icon. Fortunately we just had someone with mild intolerance, not a serious allergy, and our waiter was willing to help explain the ingredients of each dish as required. However, be careful if you have more serious dietary restrictions.

Was definitely a microwave meal resold as Indian takeaway. Had massive carrot and cucumber in dishes, which I've never seen before in Indian dishes such as chicken tikka masala. Would not recommend and feel like the reviews are fake. Avoid at all costs!!

I did Uber eats from here and when placed my order through phone they were very soft spoken and very clear. This is the best jhol momo 🫰🏼🤤 I recommend everyone to go and try this Nepali dish. Perfect for this cold UK weather🥶 Will be back soon to dine in😊

Perhaps I’m used to Indian or Bangladesh lamb balti: This was not similar to any I have ever had. I left it uneaten after the first few tastes. Furthermore, when ordering, it offered an extra Nan or rice so was one short on arrival. It’s probably a regional twist that I’m unaccustomed to and should not be a reflection on the chef or restaurant. Thanks.

I had already eaten prior, but I was eager to pop in. I only had a Kathmandu beer and a pistachio ice cream sundae. It's not my usual flavour, bur it was refreshing. Lovely service. I might be back much sooner than I think to try an actual meal 🥰

A very warm welcome, tasty food and friendly service. It’s been a year or so since last visiting, but I’d say this place is even better than before. I won’t leave it so long until dining here again!

This was a return visit after sometime and noticed straight away there had been some changes: the restaurant was redecorated, a new menu with higher prices and new management was very visible making sure everyone was having a good time. We were told the business had the same ownership but it wasn’t for us as it all felt very different to our last visit. Food was served in smaller portions but it was actually very good, except the cheese naan that was clearly bought in and more of a supermarket quality. The poppadoms were also very thin and they felt cheap. These are only constructive observations but overall we had a very good meal. We were offered a complimentary Bailey’s and a Christmas card which was a nice gesture, we will certainly come back in the New Year.

The Kathmandu appears to be under new management, food was serve in smaller portions but it was actually quite good except the cheese naan that was supermarket quality. Nice quiet atmosphere, good heating and the new colour scheme makes it cozier which was really nice.

Tasty authentic food in a simple settings. Polite manager and ok waiter. Food is tasty, can be a bit spicy so ask for advice.

The quality of this takeaway was sensational. Chicken Tikka masala had great flavour, well marinated and well spiced. Naan were soft and fluffy. Sag paneer was flavoursome. Would totally recommend

The food here is tasty. I have had Punjabi food and south Indian food but these spices are mild but distinctive. I had the mutter paneer and the special vegetable special. Nepalese cuisine is wonderful. The staff are friendly too. You get a 10% discount if you pick up your order.

Highly recommend the lamb bhutuwa. The meat was so tender and delicious. It was not too spicy. The garlic naan was also so good. Overall will order from here again. Friendly and professional staff too.

My wife & I met up with friends from Australia & wanted a curry. We’re from the Midlands, so spoilt for choice with Birmingham & Leicester within easy reach & wanted an authentic restaurant to enjoy a nice meal. We were not disappointed. Excellent food all round, starters & main’s were delicious, and service was superb. The amount of takeaway orders coming in from locals spoke volumes. Thanks again for a great night.

The texture was light, not too chewy, tender chicken sitting in a very flavoursome soup. I thoroughly enjoyed my Tandoori Fish (Trout) with Basmati steamed rice. So very fresh tasting with delicious spices. We also had a Dal Saag side dish which absolutely complemented both of our dishes. The staff are lovely and the restaurant is beautifully kept in the dining area and restroom. Easily one of our favourite Indian restaurants in the UK.

We used to live down the road from the Kathmandu Inn and have been coming here for more than 20 years. We moved some way away but most weekends we willingly travel across London to get a take-away or eat in. The food is amazing, always has been. Well priced and good portions. They changed ownership a while ago and sometimes this can affect quality but the same chef is still there and I think the new younger family owners must be related to the old team as they all seem to be in the restaurant at the same time. Highly recommend.

I truly had a very good night. Very tradicional Nepalese restaurant. The food was spot on, and our waiter made our stay lovely. Competitive prices and good quality. We even got some drinks on the house. I strongly recommend it and will definitely go back soon.

This is a fantastic Nepalese Curry House. We visited without a reservation and were still accommodated, despite there being large tables in celebrating a birthday. Our service was quick and very polite, and the server discussed what the dishes tasted like and what we might be interested in trying. The food is absolutely fantastic - the momo (Nepalise dumplings) is an absolute must-have. We also enjoyed the level of spice that the curry brought. Will come back!

An incredible restaurant overall, and probably the best Nepali restaurant in the London area! I did some research before booking a reservation, and this one seemed like the most respectful, tasty, and well-priced Nepali restaurant I could find. I was completely right! Everything from quick response time to my reservation, to being very responsive and kind to me (Nepali) and my friends (non-Nepalis). They even offered drinks on the house, which shows how above and beyond they go. Great quality for a very affordable price. Beautiful decor and ambiance. The place feels very authentic, the menu has a big variety of plats. The service is good, everything is brought on time. A little bit pricy

Revisted here several times now and its been consistently excellent. The Tandoori Chicken was delicious the Naan bread crispy and popadoms cooked in fresh pil. The beerxwas served pleasantly chilly. The service was professional yet warm. I dine out a lot and this place is a pleasant surprise.

My family have been coming here for 30 years. The best food I've had in this country. I come atleast once a month, I've never had food like it!
