Genuinely don’t know how this place has 2.6 stars. I was expecting the worst when I ordered a whole oxtail & jollof meal for £10… I thought it would be tomato based party jollof. The flavours are ALL there & oxtail just falls off the bone. Such good portions for such little prices! The fried prawns 7/10 Lamb patty 8/10 Highly recommend and will be a returning customer 🤍

Received my order through Deliveroo and will never order again. Curry mutton, more like unflavoured fat and the Jollef rice was drrrrrrrrrrrrrrry, from experience and orders from other restaurants this has been by far the worst. First and last time ordering from #Ramseyskitchennightmares

The fish was dry and they forgot my rice with my meal Pattie was hard and curry mutton had an old taste really disappointed

£15 for one chicken drumstick and thigh! Avoid. Discovered this as I walked past the barbers at the end of Inwood Road. Smoking meat and cane juice outside the barbers. Before discussing food itself the lack of prices anywhere should have set alarm bells ringing. When I had been handed the food and asked how much, being told £15 I was sure I misheard. When the guy came back with just a £5 note I suspected perhaps he had given me a large amount of food however upon opening at home found only 1 drumstick and thigh. I asked for just a portion of chicken with no rice or other sides. Chicken itself did not appear to be seasoned and had no flavor outside of the skin. The texture of the chicken was also very moist to the point of feeling uncooked. The skin itself had an ok flavour but did not penetrate the meat which is disappointing. Overall very disappointed at the quality - even at half this price I wouldn't go back let alone £15

This is probably the worst Carribean food I've ever had! There was not flavour and just full of spice. I couldn't even eat this. I wouldn't recommend ordering from this place. Also, I had to wait over 1 hour for the food to be delivered. Very disappointing.

Absolutely diabolical, just ordered from here, got the curry goat, there most certainly isn't a Jamaican there or anyone that has any knowledge on how to make Jamaican food, this isn't curry goat in anyway, apart from there being barely any meat and mostly bone, it doesn't taste in anyway like Jamaican food and has this weird layer of oil. I am going to attempt to get a refund from uber as I am actually appalled at this food, avoid at all costs.

The food is honestly so disappointing - I can’t even put into words how disgusted I am. The jerk was not jerk at all, the “jollof rice” is tomato mixed with rice - the meat on the mutton and alleged “biryani chicken” is OLD and FLAVOURLESS. For this to be classed as a food service is genuinely beyond me. The chef should seriously reconsider because you CANNOT be serving people this. I don’t know if the previous reviews were lying or not but I ordered based on them and can honestly say they must have ordered from somewhere else and got confused. 0/10

I cook mutton and goat and often disappointed when ordering a take away, but on this occasion I was very impressed.. food was hot, well seasoned (a great balance of herbs so not much salt coming through) the meat was tender and generous as was the rice. 10 out of 10 my compliments to the chef .. you certainly have my recommendation 👍🏽🙏🏽

the ox tail curry was not at all freshly prepared. secondly the fish ws deep fried in a oil full of carbon and it was smelling like a person coming home from working in a coal mine.very disappointed with the way the food ws cooked.i will neverever order it again.

should be aware not all meat dishes come with rice peas & coleslaw

Amazing jerk chicken and pumpkin rice, we also had a fresh cane juice with ginger and lime, and jelly coconut, both of which were incredible. Definitely worth giving this place a try

Pros: - the patties were nice and full Cons: - rice was dry - the meal didn't come with coleslaw, as advertised - overpriced. £12 for one person is very, very expensive. - the chicken barely had jerk sauce on it and was dry - we ordered in-store and could hear that all meals were being reheated in the microwave

Ordered here on Uber eats. Food arrived in less than 45 minutes which was not too bad especially because the food was hot and packaged well. I ordered curried goat, jerk chicken and rice and peas. To my surprise I got a complimentary mince pie 😊. The food: Curried mutton was good, very spicy and well seasoned. Jerk chicken was cooked well but the sauce was too sour. It would have been better without the sauce. The rice and peas was bland but the curried goat helped it abit. My overall rating of the food is a 7.5/10. Would return.

Horrible and a waste of your money. Rice is dry, oxtail is hard and the dish came soaked in oil. Plantain is supposed to be airfryed but what’s the point of that if you are still gonna soak it in oil. Food is not edible. Disrespectful

The lady working there Theresa is very friendly and nice- hence the 3 stars. The food is too "Indian". It does have have the authentic Jamaican taste. The prices are not cheap and the sugarcane juice at 6.50 is a tad expensive.

Worst food I've ever had. Has nothing to do with carribean food; totally blând, no spice, no flavour, watery, overly sweet...I bought lamb soup, curried goat, oxtail and stewed chicken...all mediocre... Extremely pricey and all frozen... Frozen I wouldn't mind that much if the food was good but to charge this amount of money for bad food and to not even freshly clocked is a disgrace. However, I expect them if they serve frozen food to put the date when the food was cooked on a sticker...who knows for how long that food was kept in the freezer, at what temperature and if it's still safe to eat... For you out there who had West Indian food before, give this place a miss, doesn't worth the money and for you out there who did not try Jamaican food before do yourself a favor and don't let THIS be your first encounter with this amaizing, flavour fingerlicking cuisine. It has way too many delicious things to offer for you to be put off it by this disgraceful place. If I was to sell my ethnic dishes to people I would be embarrassed for myself and for my country to serve suck low quality food.

The beef patty had curry powder in the filling. I tasted it and spat it out right away. The mac and cheese was really nice, the Oxtail was well cooked but the gravy was sweet. It is NOT authentic Jamaican food more of a jamaican indian fusion.

Right where do i even start with this place😂 for one no meal without rice in a Jamaican shop should exceed 6-9 pound depending on sizes (even then they’ll give u rice and salad in other shops for that price), which they dont exactly have, everything is far too expensive for the quality of food your going to be served if ur going to charge £12 no matter the meal please use basmati rice ive only ever tried one meal but the fact i paid £12 i wouldnt even dare to try it again ive been left to compare the 12 pound u spend in here somewhere else you could get two medium meals from one stop n drink at better and quality in other words this shop aint worth the money
