We have been in this pub a few times over the many visits to Bath. This time we had a bottle of wine on Friday night before going back to the hotel. They had live band on, they were pretty good, but doesn't have to be as loud, because it's hard to have a conversation. And one of the band members parked in the disabled bay outside the Indian Restaurant a few doors down, good job we didn't have our elderly mother in law with us, because he took the space (just unbelievable). We went back on Saturday morning to try their breakfast. Eggs Benedict and also poached eggs on smashed avocado. Both were nice, but nothing to special. The only issue in that particular area is the 4G signal is a hit and miss and the Pubs WiFi is simply not useable.

Great pub in Widcombe on the edge of Bath city that hosts a deli shop inside. When I was there the place was fairly busy but seats & tables were available in a really good atmosphere which is even better when the live music shows take place. A good choice of wines beers ciders & spirits but prepare yourself for those southern prices in a popular uptempo place

My husband and I, plus Tucker our dog, stopped off for a couple of drinks at this lovely pub. We were waiting to pick up our son from the station....but after boarding the wrong train, we had a hour to while away and what is the best way but to discover a new pub!! Warm friendly faces from staff and punters alike, and with everyone making a fuss of Tucker, even he knew this was a special pub. We 'll be back !

Didn't have have food But a member of staff(a lady back end of middle aged) was rude.. admittedly a friend chucked a sugar cube into my drink but the lady when collecting our glasses over reacted and said she won't serve our group anymore (was our first round? ...really!?) However they had a quiz night that sounded quite fun

The bartender was pleasant. The noise of the sports playing simultaneously with music was a bit dementing. Went outside to finish drinks, only to have to listen to a regular who was consistently and annoyingly boasting to another patron about a time whereby he allegedly threw his pint of Guinness at the landlord after an altercation.

Excellent Food. Cool Jazz sound track. Amazing Lamb Pasty. Incredible salad. Nice atmosphere, no noisy folk What's not to like? I realise some might baulk at £16.95 for hot pasty, salad & tea. But for this quality and ambience. Worth every penny.

Bar staff could do with lessons in social skills !!!! Trying to pick arguments with customers is not the way to get customers ? As A Bathonian the Ram used to be a good Pub ? But is now of any pub craw list to tourists or family. The bar staff have right to not serve someone if they believe that they have had enough! But not try to cause a fight ! Better to explain and say I will not serve you because I believe you have had enough .This happened on Saturday the 25th November to a group of 3 over 50yr olds.At approx 10.30pm.Also the little step by the bar is a health and safety problem.Thankfully nobody fell over only tripped .Which seemed to give the impression that one of the 3 had drunk to much .As I said a better and more professional way of handling this situation was more appropriate.and not the aggressive manner in the way it was. As. Drinker in Bath pubs for over 40 years I have never come across aggression of this kind from bar staff.

Rude staff, dull atmosphere, a customer asking for a bowl of water for his dog was told no how heartless is that it was a hot day, and a couple of customers had a pie that cost over £10, and it was served in a metal dish, and I noticed that it was ran under a tap not put through a dishwasher, I will not be going there again

[edit] I will have to return, the pub itself has a lot of potential under new management! Wouldn’t let designated driver get water, coffee or tea. Did not allow non-drinkers to get water without an alcoholic drink and said there was no place for them. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a pub before, they were so awful omg. It’s also really expensive, this place is terrible.

It's a good pub in the lovely Claverton Street which has a a great selection of shops and eateries. Well kept , clean and tidy toilets and a short walk from the little car park at top of road. I would have had food here but only popped in for a couple of welcome ales. Worth a look in as you rest from browsing the shops.

They were extremely unfriendly towards us. They told us to get out because we stopped at their pub to use the washroom. My friend ordered a drink. So I don't know why they're so rude to us. Using the toilet is an essential need. We were tourist and we got this kind of behaviour from them even after ordering.

Be careful try to avoid. The barwoman was awful and racist. We have been there last week and she looked at us with disgust as we enter the bar. My husband order and she inmidiatly said that if we didn't have cash we couldn't order and stay. We left as this women suggested that we leave. It was a horrible person and experience. So if you are not white or British, try to stay away from that women. It still amaze me when people is so openly racist and rude.

Food was very nice but wouldn’t expect you to charge me £5 for a pot of Mango Chutney after first serving me one with a long black head hair in it? Pretty disgusting but apparently not your fault because nobody who works there has long hair… Poor service and response to my obvious disgust at this which is a shame as I would’ve liked to have returned in the future. Hopefully you can take this feedback constructively for how you treat future customers.
