We had a retirement do at the Rajdhani this week which included about 50 people. The team at the restaurant were really helpful, and welcoming. The food was all excellent, from the full menu, and served really efficiently. Everyone had a great time and were well looked after. Thank you all for helping us enjoy our evening!

Have eaten here so many times over the years. The quality of the food has gone up and down over time. Last time we went it was not brilliant but we decided to try it again. Unfortunately it was not a good experience. The wonderful friendly ambience this place used to have has gone. The food was tasteless apart from a curry that tasted so sweet it must have had sugar added to it. So sad as this used to be a regular eating place for us. Unfortunately we will not go again.

Nice friendly staff. I’ve been here many times.The first time I went I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. Now after quite a few visits I’ve found the quality of food has got progressively worse. I went this evening and was disappointed and have decided we won’t return. Such a shame as initially on our first visit we found the quality of food exceptional.

This used to be one of the best takeaways in town but now its more or less the worst. Over the last year or so it has become terrible. They constantly get takeaway orders wrong. If you phone as soon as it opens you will find meat like chicken tikka feels and tastes like yesterday's leftovers. Even when they do get the order right their curries just taste of salt. On the last occasion of having to phone them because they got the order wrong they blamed us for giving them the wrong order even though it's what I always used to order. Sick of having to keep complaining to them so stopped using them.

Been using this restaurant for over 16 years. From the days of jay and now the newer owners , another takeaway tonight and absolutely fantastic , highly recommended and always polite service from ordering to the delivery.

A group of five of us came to this restaurant for a lovely meal last night. The food was excellent and the service was delightful. We all agreed that the friendly staff made our visit even more enjoyable. Will definitely be returning very soon.

My family and I recently visited and were astounded by the quality of service. The food was excellent and the staff were very accommodating and welcoming even when we mistakenly ordered the wrong food. The visit was for my daughters birthday meal and when we told the serving staff, whilst we ate our meal, they served us a birthday cake on their own initiative. All around wonderful service. Xxx

I’m sorry to have to express my disappointment, but the meal that we had delivered to our home last week was a real disappointment. In normal times, we have been a very good customer of the Rajdhani restaurant and over the years have experienced a few poor meals, but in the main very good meals. Today, we decided to order the first takeaway we have had since lockdown began and chose the Rajdhani and a curry. We were so excited, and very much looked forward to our meal. I just don’t know what’s gone wrong. We wondered if we had ordered it too early and maybe the chef is not there yet. It tasted like it had been pre-cooked and warmed up. The meals were bland and tasteless, not at all what you would expect from freshly cooked tikka meals. The onion bhajis were also very dry and did not appear to be fresh. I am afraid to say that most of it has gone into the bin. We did contact the restaurant to complain but have not heard back from them.

I have ate out over the years at many Indian restaurants, but the meal I have just ate tonight was by far the best and I am very perticular. It was absolutely sumblime, perfect, out of this world, the lamb was so tender and lean and we all know you take a chance whenever you order lamb from any restaurant. But I garauntee you will not be disappointed. 10/10 5stars. The only problem is that I will always be disappointed with every meal from this point forward.

Excellent service and arrived bang on the estimated time. With all of the safe distancing criteria being met. The food was delicious, very tasty and everyone loved it !

Came here on a night out with friends, 5 of us popadoms to start and each had a different curry. Not very busy for a Saturday night so not longto wait for food. Had a great night lots of laughing so we will call again

They take your order and money over the phone then don’t deliver and refuse to listen to your request, refusing to acknowledge that they ever talk an order in the first place.

An excellent meal in a very pleasant restaurant. Lovely staff who will do anything for you. I find the full meal too much for me so have a starter as my main with a naan which is always good, Husband always has a full meal which he enjoys whatever he has.

Beautiful meal at the raj tonight was my 8 month anniversary with my boyfriend so we went here! will definitely continue to go here when i come to stay!! A must try restaurant!

I visited last Saturday for dinner as part of a group of seven and was really looking forward to trying the food having reviewed the menu online and read so many positive reviews. Whilst the service was good and the staff entertaining and courteous the food really let the place down. To start with my initial pint of draft Cobra beer was lacking any real life (and probably should have been sent back) although a second pint proved somewhat better. The poppadoms were not really crispy and felt as though they had been cooked a while ago, left and then probably warmed through. My starter of Keema Borah was probably the worst dish of the night, really bland and almost lacking any flavour whatsoever. My main course of Murgh Bhuna Bengal Style, described as 'fiery & hot' was sadly neither although it did have a reasonable taste to it. The accompanying naan bread was really quite tough and difficult to tear apart. I have had much better curries for much less. Overall a very disappointing experience.

visited this restaurant for the first time, realy lovely inside clean and very attractive. The staff were great one young man Jay he is known by, was funny realy nice and so very sorry that the Air conditioning was not working it was like an oven, we nearly did not stay, but gave it a go.The food was excellent, and so was the service,however we rushed it down with cold water on my part, too hot in there to take your time and enjoy a few drinks and a starter so just a a main meal and off to cool down, would certainly go again if the airconditioning is fixed but if not then we will not revisit.

Just been for a meal (5 of us ) on the hottest late august bank holiday on record. Upon entering the restaurant the heat in the room just whacked us in the face. The staff apologised and explained that the air con was not working and we got the impression it has not been working for some time. We had planned on staying for starters, main and desserts but the place was so hot we decided we could only bare to stay for the main course. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the interior is very pleasant and nicely set out, the food that we had was all very fresh, well cooked and delicious, all 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed it. However, we have all said we could no go back there unless they get the air con working. It is situated above a Chinese restaurant so gets the heat from that and there are no windows. The over bearing heat in there ruined what otherwise would have been a great evening. I have given my number to one of the waiters and asked him to text me once the air con is fixed, fingers crossed.

Had a take away got order wrong phoned restaurant back the staff were so rude had to wait another 45 mins for them to correct it

Visited last night with my son. L9vely welcome from friendly staff. Prompt service. Wide menu at reasonable price. Food was well presented and tasty. No complaints and will definitely return.

Lovely meal, King prawn masala was spot on and plenty of prawns, great service and reasonably priced. Great pickle tray with lime pickle 😋 Definitely be back.

Visited recently and enjoyed a very nice meal here, opened up with cold beer and warm spicy popadoms whilst choosing from an extensive menu.

we seem to remember visiting this restaurant many years ago, but nothing about the food, so of we went, and were pleased with our choice, the staff were pleasant, ambiance good except for the loud bangng of the entrance door when take aways were being collected.

I have been in nuneaton for nearly 10 weeks now, and I've been returning here every week, it is just that good, the staff are great and the food is spot on, as long as I'm here I'll keep returning.

Four went for a meal on Saturday night. It was my first time at the Rajdhani, however I am a very experience Indian meal eater !!!.

This was mine and my husband's first visit and we were pleasantly surprised, I felt at ease in the restaurant as we were made to feel very welcome, the staff were all really lovely and attentive in a positive way. The food didn't take too long and both starter and main were excellent. I was particularly impressed by the service as the main meal was served after ensuring it's heat on a gas ring, I felt this service was exceptional. I would most certainly recommend and will return in the future both for the restaurant and take away. I would highly recommend you give this restaurant a try you won't be disappointed.

This is our local curry house. We go at least once a week if not more sometimes.

The ambience of this restaurant is very good with small booths along the side as well as larger tables in the middle. Everything nicely decorated with attentive, pleasant staff. A very good meal, one Baltii one Bhuna, mid strength curry, lots of egg fried rice. A really good meal with wine.

Recently moved to the area, very warm welcome awaits at this restaurant. Friendly faces and delicious food, good quality and freshly cooked to order. I recommend the tikka shashlik bhuna.

We went to this restaurant with friends on 19/9/18. We received a very warm welcome, staff were most friendly, It felt that it was a family run business. I had king prawn Balti which was so flavoursome and a dish I didn’t want to end! My husband who does not favour Indian food as much as myself and our friends had nothing other than praise for the Chicken Bhuna he had plus he said that he would certainly visit this restaurant again. So, anyone reading this review should most definitely visit this restaurant, I’m confident you will not be disappointed.

We popped here to give it a try & all four of us where not disappointed.

Visited for the first time, although the food was ok the service was very poor, slow to take order on arrival and slow to clear table when finished, sat with empty glasses for some time even tho several waiters walked past seeing them, they all seemed to busy chatting to care about the diners... Not even that busy with only 8 seated.. Disappointed, Won't be going again.

Feeling lazy on a Friday night we opted for a take away and really enjoyed an excellent meal. The service was quick and the quality of the food was impressive. We have 'eaten in' many times but really enjoyed the take away, it was so easy to collect It ourselves and it was still piping hot by the time we got home. Will definitely opt for the take away next time we can't be bothered getting ready to eat out, pyjamas were so comfortable to eat in!!

Visited on 02.08.2018 with my parents for a meal, was very impressed. The young male who served us was absolutely lovely, so polite and really good service. The food was absolutely delicious and served to us quickly and without any troubles.

Returned to the Rajdhani to find that it had gone downhill.

We had a meal tonight, my partner enjoyed his meal. However my tandoori lamb chop was just a load of bones. The waiter or manager cut it all up and said "Well chops are bones"..........

We have been here a couple of times when we visit family who live locally. There is a good choice of food for Vegetarians and we have all enjoyed the quality of food served. Staff are always welcoming.

Went with my family to the Rajdhani tonight and received a warm welcome. We all enjoyed our meals. The food was reasonably priced as were the drinks and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Lovely warm meal out on a snowy night.

Four of us visited just before Christmas as we live locally , the restaurant was only half full yet it took over an hour after we ordered for our starter to arrive , then over an hour before our mains , in total the meal took just over three hours. We struggled to get a round of drinks to the table and had to ask several times before anything arrived.

As we live nearby we visit here every now and again, and are never disappointed.

Visited here for the first time with family who come themselves every so often. Nice clean restaurant and staff very friendly. Good choice on menu and very reasonable prices for food and drinks. We waited quite a long while for our food but it was all very nice when it came - and hot. Would need to be able to climb stairs to eat here. Family member even had a voucher so we used that against the bill so was even more reasonable for what we had. Would visit again if we were in the area.

Have been here before and enjoyed the food however don't come often as found better Indian restaurants locally.

La comida era muy buena. Sin embargo, estaba mucho mejor con el director anterior. El nuevo gerente ella empujaba a mesero elegir los campos, presumiblemente para que pudieran salir temprano.

Esta fue nuestra primera visita familiar aquí y pasamos una velada muy agradable. Todo el personal era muy amable y el servicio era rápido. La comida estaba por encima de la media, quizás no el mejor curry que he probado y algunos entrantes eran pequeñas comparadas con las de otros, pero nada de que quejarse. Llegamos un sábado por la noche, pero en el momento de dejar el lugar estaba muy concurrido.

Gran noche, el personal era excelente, muy atento. La comida estaba deliciosa. Fácil de encontrar ya que fuimos de Birmingham.

I have visited many restaurants and regard myself as a connoisseur.I am very particular about the food and places I visit.I found the perfect place where staff were very welcoming and open , the place was intimate and very clean. The attention to detail was superb the food was amazing it was authentic and delicious. The food was prepared with care and attention and the choice was extensive .I ordered quite a lot even to though the portions were large. The prices are reasonable I would had payed a little more for the quality it was worth it.I recommend this place, for all. Simply put one of the best places to eat around Nuneaton- no more travelling !!! You have to try it you won't be disappointed.

Okay for a quick curry, but not the best, what does annoy me is that considering it just a curry house the price of the wine is to expensive especially as it's only blossom Hill.

We went for a meal with my daughter and boyfriend. We had the most amazing meal. We would also like to add the staff were very helpful and freindly. Especially the bar man who was lovely and very helpful. We will definitely be going back again as it was the best indian meal we have ever had.

This restaurant is once again becoming very popular, and booking is essential for busy periods. The food is delicious and is always hot. Staff are very welcoming and attentive to customers. They often bring out complimentary dishes for diners to try. There is a large free car park.

The Rajdhani is back on top. Nice surroundings, friendly Waiter and the food was excellent. The Lamb Madras was very tasty, not too hot, and the meat was very tender. I love the fact that you can have a Prawn Cocktail for starter too! Well done all. The extra effort you make is really having an impact.

Disaster! Drink order taken, 1 bottle of still water, 1 Diet Coke when they arrived my Diet Coke was flat so sent it back and just shared the bottle of water. I noticed that this was sparkling water which we never asked for and when we approached the waiter we were told they only had sparkling water so we kept it. My partner then asked if I thought it tasted funny which it did it tasted flat. When I checked the date it was 6 months out of date!!!!! When my partner took it back he was then offered a bottle of still water!! When we were leaving we had '£1.50' taken off the bill whilst being told a whole lot of excuses! It's just not good enough. We will not be returning. The only reason I have given 1 star is because the food was lovely!

Our local Indian restaurant is a must on a Saturday night great place to take the wife. Lovely friendly staff, excellent food (must recommend the balti).

Had a voucher to use in local Indian restaurants. I don't know much about Indian food and the waiter was very helpful on what to choose. I had the Cod Rezela which was very tasty.

As always the service was quick food was hot and delicious and reasonable price. Always made to feel welcome even though I'm on my own. Plenty of parking and easy access there is a lift if you cannot manage the stairs.

As this is on walking distance I visit this curry house regularly. Went tonight and have to admit the service wasn't as quick as usual but the serving staff were very attentive. It probably wouldn't have been noted but we had children with us and hadn't had out main by 830 and we'd arrived at 7!Curry was good gut portions small for the price (2 halves of potatoes and one pineapple ting in a small dansak )Staff were lovely with the children.

The restaurant was very clean and well presented. All the staff were polite and friendly. There was a good selection on the menu. The food was served piping hot and very quickly and was absolutely fantastic. Really delicious. The waiter discussed the spices that were used and was very knowledgeable. We visited the Rajdhani a few weeks ago with family and were very impressed by the range of food offered. The team there were very friendly and helpful in recommending and explaining the various dishes to us. It was also very good value.

Excellent service ... friendly & attentive ! Clean & spacious dining area with comfortable seating ! Food is well cooked and good sized portions ... maybe errs on the mild side so that everyone can eat it without being too harsh, but requests for making the dish a little hotter have always been welcomed ! I have tried a few other places since moving to Nuneaton ... Rajdhani is far & away the best !! Ample free car parking is an added bonus & a cash ATM only yards away !

A fairly unexiciting but totally clean and well presented restaurant. The menu is limited compared to some others, but the food is really fresh and tender and extremely well cooked. All really tasty, well presented and good size portions. The staff could not do enough from the first greeting to the last, always attentive. Nice soothing music not the normal boring elevator pop. And no distracting Bollywood tv. Nice and relaxing experience plus really good food at a reasonable price. First time visit but certainly not the last. Final nice touch of a complimentary small drink to go with the obligatory mints.

Having been impressed on previously visits we came here for a meal to celebrate a birthday. We were promptly seated on arrival, given menus and time to order. Once again the food was lovely. Will certainly return.

Came here with my partner in a Thursday night, when we walked in there was only 2 other tables in which made us a bit wary, but we were mistaken! We had the mixed sharer to start which was absolutely lovely, and then I had a prawn Balti with garlic rice which was absolutely gorgeous! We will be returning!

We came in on Saturday night for a meal - we've been a few times before and had a great meal on all occasions, but we'd always been midweek when it wasn't busy so wasn't sure what to expect on a Saturday night. We had our drinks and food order's taken quickly, drinks and poppadoms arrived quickly, which was great. Service was friendly at all times. But the overwhelming feeling was that they needed more staff on, both out the front and in the kitchen. The restaurant became about 3/4 full and a couple of pairs of extra hands would've helped. We waited about 30 mins for our starters then another 30-40 mins for our mains, however when they came they were delicious. There was also a table in the middle that were really loud and the whole restaurant could hear the conversation about why one of the party was single, what kind of man she wants etc. I felt sorry for the poor kids, who were basically ignored and left to play on phones, whilst 1 or 2 people dominated conversation for everyone to hear. The manager should have gone over and asked for them to bring it down a touch. But we will be back, just probably not at the weekend.

As I live nearby I have used this Indian restaurant when eating in and taking away. The service is always good, as is the food. The value is generally good with a curry, rice and naan costing £11-12 approx. Will visit again.

This is the third time I have eaten here, it is very inconsistent,never again. We waited over an hour to be served cold food and it wasn't that busy

Haven't visited the restaurant for a while, Always a lovely atmosphere, waiters very attentive. Meal was gorgeous, piping hot.Had a complimentary baileys and brandy at the end of the meal. Highly recommend a visit.

Three of us went for a meal on Saturday night at the Rajdhani. We will often go out for an Indian, but we had never been here before, normally deciding to go to the fantastic Chinese restaurant which is downstairs. However, upon a recommendation from a friend, we decided to give it a go. We went upstairs and were sat straight away. We started with poppadoms and a Tikka Grill starter to share, which was fantastic. We then all had different curries, rice and naans, with one of the party asking for his balti to be made a little hotter, which was done perfectly. All of the food was fantastic and flavourful and the service was very good. Three of us ate very well for around £50. We were even given a free drink at the end of the meal! My only concern was that it was 7.30 on a Saturday night and there were only 3 or 4 tables in. They were doing a few takeaways though. But we'll definitely be back - I recommend!

Looked at Trip Advisor, good reviews so thought we would give it a try. Very impressed, attentive service, really tasty food, great quality. A complimentary drink (a long time since had one if those) with the bill, completed a lovely meal experience.

After a hot day at work I really fancied a tasty, spicy curry and a cold Indian beer. I wasn't disappointed. The service was prompt and friendly, the curry, lamb Madras was simple tasty and spicy. Excellent naan breads as well.

Popped in here for a meal with the kids as they fancied a curry and it is local. Didn't know what to expect. In short a second visit is definitely on the cards. Amazing service, food was really really good the kids really loved it both said when are we going again. Started with a variety of starters chicken pakora was especially nice. Chicken tikka masala was especially nice according to the kids as I had chicken jalfrezi also very good. Well recommended.

We visit this restaurant often and find the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. They will offer changes to standard dishes too if you discuss what you like with them. Food is of a good standard and prices very reasonable.

Just had a great meal for two in the Rajhani, I think they serve the best chicken chat (starter) in Warwickshire. We have visited the Restaurant on a number of occaisions and always have good value for money, excellent food with friendly service.

Went here quite early on a saturday. When we got there we were greeted straight away by a waiter and shown to our table. The waiter was friendly and got our drinks and poppadoms straight away with a tasty chutney tray. My wife ordered a chilli garlic which she did not want hot but flavoursome and i ordered a jalfreizi. Must say they really hit the spot. The garlic chilli wasnt too garlicy or hot, it was just right. My jalfreizi was beautifully spiced with the right amount of spice to let me taste my food. Food was accompanied with a garlic nan and mushroom rice which were lovely. Often fried rices can be very salty but these were lovely. Overall very positive experience and the owner and staff couldnt do enough to ensure a positive experience. Will visit again

3rd visit last night,Can not fault the food at all,however on 2nd visit the service was very slow,The 3rd visit food was good again but starter came, we ate starter and then waited over 30 Minutes before reminding waiter about popadoms and dip tray,He said he had forgot,He brought them out then after eating them we waited and waited for main only to be asked if we want more drinks,Drinks were ordered but never came, I asked for the bill and mentioned we had not had drinks where we was offered if we still wanted them,So I just replied I think it's a bit late as we about to go,So overall food can or could not fault but service appalling ,will be looking for somewhere with better serviceGive a score of 2 only for the food

A small upstairs venue with small amount of tables, decorated tastefully. Decent sized portions full of flavour, and very attentive staff. Would go back again :)
