Starter lamb chops ok, sheikh kebabs ok if portion size small. Mint yoghurt was tasteless and watery, needs redoing by someone with taste. We ordered a special chicken breast main which was spicy but the chicken was visibly burnt and dry: there were black bits around the edges of it. We couldn't get a fork through it so my partner went and got a small hand hacksaw out of the garage then all good. Won't be back.. worst Indian meal I've had in Warrington so far. Obviously no pride in your food whatsoever.

Large portions, taste amazing and arrived bang on time!

I'm having the mixed biryani for dinner tonight.. yum!! Finally found a biryani I like in Warrington!! If you want fresh and nice then try them.

Never had a bad meal, nice honest staff. Fresh spices, watch you food being cooked. UPDATE - 2022, still good honest food. Never a bad meal. Recomended.UPDATE 2024 - still the same excellent, tasty food. Good as ever recommended

Very authentic Southern/Northern Indian cuisine, with lovely staff, service and the best Peshwari Naan i've ever eaten.

Ordered online....so hot that it spoiled everyone's meal. Ordered mild from chicken tik saag to jelfreza...so hot and even added yoghurt...unbelievable, spoiled night

Ordered a meal at 8pm was told it would be delivered between 2105 and 2125 i got it at 10 pm I phoned the take away at 930 only to be told the driver had left its on 10 minutes from there to my house by car it arrived at 10pm very poor indeed will not use these again

It has been a bit hit and miss from here in the past especially delivery. However, we ordered on line Friday night for delivery at 18-45 hours and sure enough it arrived on time. The food was delivered with care and the taste was amazing for the 4 starters and mains we ordered. I couldn't fault it and had to comment how good it was.

Been coming here for years, always smiling when I collect our order. They’re very quick and I’m never waiting longer than a few seconds. The food quality is the best ever, so tasty, this our go-to takeout, the best Indian in Warrington. It’s worth the drive! Forgot to mention that the prices are exceptional value. It seems a lot of the negative reviews are rating the delivery driver’s lack of service rather than the restaurant. If you can, ho collect this, you won’t regret the drive!

Amazing food tonight! Super fresh and super tasty. We’ve have a few of the local takeaways from around Penketh, and must admit this is the best one! Really good value for money, and lovely friendly staff. We can’t wait for our next takeout treat!

Quite simply the worst takeaway I have ever used. Never again.

Don’t order from here! Ordered a chicken korma and the chicken was rubbery. The lamb in the curry was grisly. And the chips were thin, crispy and cold. These weren’t chips, they were more like french fries! Spent £28 for a meal for 3 people that wasn’t worth a blow on a ragman’s trumpet!!!

Ordered here last week and they mixed up our order with someone else, so by the time we got our food it was freezing cold. Thought we’d give them another chance because we’d ordered her before and it’s been nice. But then on New Years Eve we order a family meal and they forget the kids chicken Korma, their response is we’ll send it round but it may take 2 hours... by that time the kids will be in bed! PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!

Food arrived 2 hours late, after the first hour I rang them and on asking was informed that my food was cooked and ready to be delivered, so no surprise that when it arrived an hour later it was cold and inedible. To top it off the order was incomplete, would never use or recommend this place to anybody

Omg, this is an amazing place for authentic Indian food. We have been a few times, every time we go in never fails to be the best tasting food. I would highly recommend the set meals, they are more than adequate in quantity and sometimes we have leftovers for the following day. The food is good value, the staff are lovely. If I could add more stars I would 😁 Go here and enjoy the delicious food.

Delivery may take an hour but thats totally fine as they are busy. Also the food is really good the chicken tikka is the best, not soggy, not cold. I really recommend this place.

First and last time ordering from this place. Food arrived cold, my madras had 4 pieces of lamb in it and my partners kebab was dry and cold. We used this takeaway because our usual takeaway only excepts cash and we didn't have any on us. I've had better microwave meals, complete waste of £18

This place has gone down hill food was freezing cold when it turned up after 1 hour 30mins waiting and how ironic is this the the old delivery guy tried to give him self £2 pound tip till a questioned him with the bill and he played silly beggers with no change in his pockets ??? Ooh wait a minute you have now ??? Certaily wont be calling again!!

We ordered and paid for a takeaway via Just Eat at 8.15pm, two calls later and it’s now 10pm and the food still hasn’t arrived we’ve phoned twice to be told it’s on its way. On the last call I asked when the food was sent and I was told ‘about 40 minutes ago’. As this restaurant is local I asked why it still wasn’t here after 40 minutes, the answer was ‘the driver is probably busy’. Totally unacceptable service and if the food has been sat in a car for 40 minutes it’s probably inedible. We will be asking for a refund and will NOT use this restaurant again!

Tried this place last night (26-7-19) We go regularly to the Chinese next door so we thought we’d try the ‘Raj’ for a change .... Oh dear ...... it never seems to have any customers in so really that in itself should have set alarm belts off ! Takeaway for four/five We picked it up On arrival home we sat down and dished it all up. Lamb and chicken tikka starters were dry not much flavour Onion bhajis were dreadful... methinks bulk bought and re-heated and were burnt/over fried in ‘‘old’ oil at a guess ... they had no taste whatsoever and had the consistency of deep fried rubber bands Only three bites and we all agreed ... dreadful! We mage the mistake of ordering 3 portions.... Eeeeugh🤢 ALL the rice seemed old and most of it was over cooked Even the onions that accompanied the popadoms (Soft) , were old and sickly The main meals were bland and not very nice either sad to say.... I would say we left 3/4 of it and chucked it. I really can’t say a good thing about any of the meals I’m/we are sorry to say Lovely menu choice and staff were nice but OMG———the food !!!??? What’s going on ? Very very disappointed and would never ever visit here again going on the nosh . Please sort it out !!! Not had a takeout curry for ages but this place is still our favourite, excellent food, not covered with a pool of ghee when you open it, and friendly staff on arrival. They deliver now as well.

Just picked up an order food of poor quality and missing items that had been paid for. Not worth going back due to poor quality.

Came across this Indian through Internet search. Ordered delivery which was quite far away and not only was food early it was absolutely delicious, best Indian food I have had in such a long time. Truly authentic and gorgeous food.

States it's open till 10.45, obviously couldn't be bothered accepting any orders after 10, took money straight away as if order had gone through, no confirmation email either way Rang number as recommended if no confirmation nobody answers do not bother. 11.10pm they ring me from a mobile to say they are closed and do I want the food the next night.... As if, no thanks, full refund given.

Poor Indian! 30 mins late no apologies, food was not very warm! Food was also incorrect and the delivery driver gave us the wrong meal until a couple of mins later he came back with the right order.

Don't waste your money with this takeaway waited over 2.5 hours for soggy tasteless food, only had one taste and put it straight in the bin, phoned to find out when and where food was only to be told you can pick it up or we can't deliver for another 20 mins, first and last time, for this establishment, waste of money, with false promises.

Had take away from here on a few occasions previous over many months. And found it always of a good standard. Tonight was very poor. Meat I won't say what is was could have been anything. Really... and god it was hard and dry. My partners chicken tikka starter was dry. To say the least. And the whole experience of tonight's tale away very poor. Don't think i want to order from here again.

Ordered delivery directly on their website and order accepted for delivery. Rang me to say they don't deliver to my area of warrington so I questioned why their website accepted my postcode and payment. After 2 hours food was delivered cold and inedible with the delivery man reiterating that they don't deliver to my postcode. Nothing worse than confrontation on the door of your house. If they don't deliver then they should not take orders and payment especially when the first thing your asked to do on their website is enter your postcode - simple.

The starter was cold, I made a request for there to be no peppers in the main meal, they ignored my request and they were 30 mins late with no apology.

Food was excellent as always, but 30 min delay on delivery was disappointing, particularly as we had ordered more than an hour in advance for a specific time

The driver said he had been but hadn't... asked him what colour car was up the drive he said there wasn't any.. he went the wrong house, don't know how... other than that food was good and would order from here again, hopefully just a first time bad experience

Absolutely disgusted. I don't know what's happened to this place over the last 12 months but it's gone down hill. We ordered a family meal earlier this week to which the curries were all completely mixed up and labelled wrong! The cheese in the paneer was like plastic and tasted burnt, it was barely warm. Today we gave it another go after numerous times of saying "we will give it another go" it was an hour late, despite living 5 minutes drive away. We hadn't ordered anything that they made from scratch, a mix kebab and lamb chops! The meat is microwaved so what did we wait nearly 2 hours for! You get a salad with your meal which consists of lettuce and tomato and slice of lemon (no onions) we won't be trying again! Such a shame as this was our number 1 place to go for a curry. Considering it's under new management there's still a lot to be changed. Good luck

disgusting!! poppadoms were stale, chicken chaat was so greasy the smell from it was vile threw it straight into the bin, the chips were dry and chewy and the garlic chicken was cold. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!! I want a FULL refund.

worse meal i've had using just eat. food was bashed about and the bag was leaking. chips were soggy and inedible. supposed to be lamb rogan josh - there was about 3 pieces of lamb. never again

Lamb Bhuna had very little lamb in it and the lamb was tough and very chewy , was not e joy able I'm afraid so disappointed

I had ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala. Unfortunately, the curry wasn't as sweet as the previous curry that I had ordered it.

Would never order from hear again. Food arrived late and cold. Bombay potatoes were full of grease, curries were tasteless and far too oily , onion bajhis were chewy, Nann bread again tasteless and soggy. Chicken was dry and inedible.

My Wife had gone out so I decided to try somewhere new as a lucky dip. Raj Bars is a takeaway in Penketh tucked away in a small shopping square. I ordered a Sheek kebab and tandoori chicken vindaloo with pilau rice. The meal was superb with the curry being thick and very tasty. It's a shame that more restaurants don't serve food as good as this.Will definitely be returning.

Ordered a mixed Masala, got chicken and sauce only. Dissatisfied and let down. Will stick to Chinese in future.

I'm so disappointed with the food from here, we ordered the special meal for two, both have been up most of the night with upset stomachs. I am pregnant so have been extremely unwell. The kids had chicken nuggets and chips and they were fine. It just seems the curry was dodgy

meal was very salty and very watery had meal from here in the past and that one was excellent but this meal was inedible had to throw it away due to being extremely salty the starter was nice though and the nan bread was ok shame it used to be a good takeaway can only put it down that it was a friday night and they must have been busy and made a mistake

Food excellent as usual. Only downside is the quick delivery time!. The time said 1 hour for delivery but it arrived in 20minutes - which could be considered to be a good thing, but we were then doing something else when it arrived

I've never ordered before from these guys but on arrival the food wasn't particularly hot and the rice was very dry, as if if had been made earlier in the day and stored under a heat lamp for a long time in preparation for a busy Friday evening, so not particularly fresh sadly. The quality of the curries was quite good, so overall not bad.

Ordered a naan bread that didn't turn up but was paid for, food just warm.

My first order as was recommended by a friend and my chicken tikka dhansak tasted like it was cooked in salt. Also had to ring them back to get poppadoms. Very disappointed.

Chicken Tikka had a very horrible taste and when speaking to a friend who also ordered this on Saturday she also said it had a funny favour. And there was only 5 small pieces of chicken! Very disappointment as have use this takeaway a lot.

He tenido una comida para llevar desde aquí unas cuantas veces y siempre ha sido muy buena. Normalmente el menú para dos, hay varias opciones y trabajan fuera, muy buena relación calidad-precio y comida más que suficiente para dos personas! La comida es siempre a un alto nivel y listo cuando dicen que sería. Yo seguiré viniendo aquí y lo recomiendo.

Ordered special offer set menu for 2, received no poppadoms / chutneys. No answer when ringing Restaurant. Unsure whether value for money as we could have ordered from standard menu for cheaper as we didn't receive the full offer. Food quality was delicious, so shame they missed this.

It was a okay but Madras was seriously weak, no flavour just Dolmio with some chilli's in it, very disappointing.

Excellent curry however, it arrived around 35 minutes early. It was expected to arrive at 7.40pm as I coming home from work. If no one had been in he house it might have been returned to the restaurant.

Good food as always but have noticed last few times no salad or mint sauce sent with the starters. At the price charged should at least get a salad

I found the Chicken Tikka Masala recipe to have changed. The curry wasn't creamy as the previous one and the appearance had changed. The Naan bread wasn't as sweet.

Normally it's nice but last night was absolutely disgusting.. it was greasy tasteless and all round vile!! Worst £30 I've ever spent!!!
