Fish was not food in the middle. And the chips looked like a few days old never going again worse chippy ever

Not very good. A lot of batter on the fish. Not much fish. Some of the chips had black marks.

Good local chip shop. Friendly helpful staff. Always enjoy going there have good banter with the staff and customers .

Chips were wet, greasy and tasted awful, curry sauce was not the best either. Burger was ok but lack of onions and roll wasn’t the best. Service very matter of fact, I won’t be returning.

I’ve been here for fish and chips five times on the way back from footy and it has the best, freshest fried fish around, and great chips too. Consistently very good. Recommended

Found the only place in 2023 that doesn’t take debit cards so didn’t get a chance to taste the food

This is the most unfriendly unhelpful chippy ever . The guy in particular is rude n obnoxious wouldn’t buy from them ever again Can’t comment on food as he was so rude I left !

3rd time visited for their moussaka didn't have any😡so ordered something simple fish/chips and a savoury waited 25min hopless

Is this place under new management? Ordered chips, peas, curry and fishcake. I've no idea what the "fishcake" contained but if was grey. I'd guess that the contents hadn't ever been in the sea! Whatever it was had no taste and I could have wrung the grease out of it. Completely inedible.

What has happened??? 1 star is too much. Rock hard, burnt pie. Must have been there ages. Rock hard, reheat chips. Curry sauce was vile. What a shame. It used to be great. A customer, lost

WELL!!.This place has gone down the nick.just bought 4 scollops.greasy rock hard warm ups..chips 5/10.carton of mushy peas stunk..and foolishly i tasted them..spat them out the car window..whats happened to the place..new owners?it used to be one of the best chippys around..wont be going back....20/07/2022

Our fav chippy to go to, but tonight food has put me off, chips taste and look like warm ups, looking like they used every rotten potato they could, fish batter very greasy. Not nice at all,

heard good things from lots of people about this place so went and the cod bites weren’t in batter they were in breadcrumbs and it wasn’t cod it was like mush so i’d avoid them however the fish was enjoyable

Nice fish and chips but service is too slow and chaotic. Chipmunk in Thatto Heath is much quicker.

Great fish and chips, shame the prices have gone up so much.

Food was nice and tasty, freshly made and really hot (took me 20 minutes to walk back home and my meal was still really hot) but the staff was not very friendly, looked rather miserable. It was probably due to being super busy however it wasn't nice for my personal experience unfortunately, I would order out for delivery any day but probably won't be coming back in person.

Excellent supper.... Fresh and red hot..... Travelled a few miles to visit but well worth the effort......

gluten free fish was fab, pity about the salt and pepper chips!

Ordered boiler rice and chippy mild curry (you know the yellow stuff). No taste, boiled rice clogged together and the curry didn't even look like curry but a thin watered down soup consistency. Not ever returning. Charged £4 for 2 and on the board it was priced £1.90 each.

This place was the best in the world when Theo ran it, now the staff just don't care. Soggy fish, soggy sharp chips with miserable staff, heartbreaking.

Good fish. Not really complying with covid restrictions. they need to have a look at it and get it sorted

Awful service! Manager rude, no customer service skills what so ever! Chips were very under-cooked and raw. Will not be going back or using again!

Yes it was Friday and yes it was busy but totally disorganised. Half the food was cold that I got. And really don't bother with the salt and pepper chips, the worst I've ever had - I think they microwave them!

Rare to find a chippy that makes gluten free fish and chips. I come to buy this as a lunch time treat with my friend and always enjoy it.

I personally love this chip shop as they have a massive range of foods to eat . The service is very good and it always looks clean . The staff are very kind and when me and my friend went in we asked for £2.00 fries and they said it was better getting large for £1.00 which we didn't know was there. I love , love , love it .

Great gluten free fish and chips

Normally don’t have a problem with my food, but a spam fritta wasn’t cooked properly through had loads of raw batter still on it also the chips wasn’t really cooked some was just hard potato also I got a chicken burger and it wasn’t properly cooked all the way though it was the best chippy we’d been too but ever since it just seems to be going down hill don’t think I’d be coming again

The second time I've had glutton free fish and chips from here it was lovely to eat. Really nice clean lovely texture. As someone who can only eat glutton free food I'm greatful it helps ppl like me alot it's so hard to find places to eat to find somewhere as nice as this is even rarer... staff are lovely as well. If they take altitle bit longer with your food you no its worth the wait. If ya see it when he's busy takes longer when it's not spot on not malicious in any way. Thank you guys.... also ppl who can only eat glutton freefood this chip shop is a life saver litrely...

Worst chips I've had for a long time Pure warm ups and the girl serving had a face on her like she had been slapped down overnight

Waited 15mins for two bags of chips 🍟 then they weren't cooked. Rubbish

Brilliant chippy and the fish is a must. The fish is still a must but service has defiantly gone down hill. Called a large order through and was told 20 minutes for collection. Upon collection I was asked if I'd called the right place and then when I'd called. Then made to wait for everyone in there to be served before starting my order. So what should have been a quick 5 minute collection turn into a half hour wait. Sort of takes the meaning of fast food out of there Will have to reconsider this as my favourite chippy and will be looking else were.

This is without a doubt one of the best chippies around. Chips are fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside, just like they should be. Everything else is just as good. Queues out the door every Friday night, without fail, speaks a language of its own. If you haven't already, you have to try!
