it awesome!!! i go there every hour every day monday wednesday thursday friday saturday sunday a week and the owners are really nice. even though they are really popular they always manage to serve on time (the delivery is as fast as a zooming horse) and the food is top quality as yummy as yummy food. if you want to go and eat food that delights your heart and swirls like a unicorn come hereeeee!!!

Delivered early but the rice was bland and rang to tell them but didn’t want to know. Won’t be ordering again.

Food turned up late and was cold. No issue waiting for food if it's going to turn up hot and freshly cooked, however this had been clearly sat around for a good 30-40 mins. Paid nearly 25 quid for half a duck and it was dry and rubbery. I could have got a better rubber duck from the joke shop, and for a fraction of the price. Rest of the food was mediocre and most of it was thrown in the bin. Used to be a great place this but clearly it's gone down hill and I will not be returning, that is for certain.

This was my go to take out but after a £7.30 dish of fried rice that tasted and looked like a bowl of turmeric I will think twice. I must say it is usually a great takeout and maybe someone added the wrong ingredient. If so it should not have been sent out and if it is the norm, then never again. Not one person in the household ate the dish and a good meal was ruined.

My order never turned up. I want a refund.

By far the worst takeaway Chinese I ever had.Arrived cold in a soggy container.Handful of fried onions and spring onions mixed with a few undercooked prawns.Very dry and tasteless.Disappointed and won’t be ordering again 👎🏼

We have been using New Rainbow for years and have never been disappointed. We normally collect our food but decided to have a delivery today; the slightly early delivery time did not inconvenience us as our table was ready as soon as the Order was confirmed.

I collected as delivery time was too long The order wasn’t right when I got home!

The food is good, the prices reasonable and the service great. Very friendly and our first choice for takeaway in Urmston.

Can you please deliver at the time stated, delivery time was around 17.50, it arrived 17.20, wasn't ready to eat at that time. Must say though the food was excellent.

I would like to complain about the quality of food we received last night. Mine and my husbands meal had a funny taste, I feel like we was given the left overs from the night. I feel really disappointed as we paid £37 and thrown most of the meal away. I would like a refund please, can someone contact me regarding this. Many thanks

Amazing food and super speedy delivery

Really disappointing order tonight. Arrived over an hour after ordering and was luke warm at best. Chips were like cardboard and clearly cooked in old oil. The order was also only just warm as delivery driver had forgotten one of the items so had to return to get the missing item. Instead of realising that the food would now be cool and therefore below standard, they were prepared for that food to go out again, even though any caterers with any experience would know that it would be sub-standard. Crispy duck, although a generous portion, tasted like it had been cross-contaminated with the salt and pepper ribs. Not good at all.

I've ordered from New rainbow for a year but tonight the food was awful. Chips over sailted (inedible) and green pepper under cooked.

Very poor quality food. Tasteless sauces, huge sweet and sour chicken balls in soggy batter. Poor all round

Very disappointed with quality of food. Crispy shredded beef was soggy. Chicken chow mein was poor chicken looked boiled . Chips burnt. First time tried the rainbow. Unfortunately won't be using again such a shame.

The ribs were cold and extremely fatty, I’ve had ribs from here many times before and always loved them, these were sadly just full of fat

We ordered from New Rainbow through Just Eat online about 5.50pm to be told via email it would be delivered by 6.50pm. We rang at 6.45pm to see if the food was on its way. We were assured it was out with the driver. No food by 7.15pm. Rang take away to be told driver will be a couple of minutes. Food arrived around 7.20pm. It was cold! Driver apologised he was late as they were short staffed on drivers. I rang New Rainbow to say food was cold and could I have a refund. Lady who answered said to go through Just Eat to complain. I emailed Just Eat to ask for Refund as food very late and cold. Received email back saying they would look into the refund request and reply within 7 days. After 3 days I replied to email asking if there was any update - no reply!!! It's been 7 days and no refund!! No reply!!! Not a happy customer at all!!!

Food was cold. Took over 35 minutes to arrive from leaving premises. Sweet and sour tasted of vinegar. Having ordered from here previously without any issues, this level of service was really poor.

This is my local Chinese, and I'm glad. The food is tasty, service is fast and the owner is always so cheerful and friendly.

We ordered dry noodles, they were very dry.. chips were crinkle cut, cold and old. The best bit was the sweet and sour chicken. Egg fu yung was dry.. not the best!!

THE food was disgusting the special foo yung was tasteless and basically egg and onions, and the crispy shredded beef chili sauce was vile, lumps of spongy fatty meat basically lying in a container of vinegar, straight in the bin, iam fed up with poor food from this outlet and will not be using them again.disgusting experience.i tried ringing to complain but no answer to the phone

Tonight was my first experience with this take away, straight away I was very impressed as the lady I spoke to on the phone who took my order was very polite, well mannered and bubbly! Food was amazing & the flavour was perfect. Definitely going to be my regular Chinese now!

A bit disappointed; food used to be really good here but seems like it’s gone downhill. Singapore special chow mein was overloaded with noodles and hardly any meat. 1 prawn in the whole thing. Bland and oily. Regular special chow mein had 1 prawn in and was watery and bland. Salt and pepper beef was nice but more onions than anything else. Ribs in ok sauce were nice in flavour but barely any meat on the bones. Bonus was it came 20 minutes earlier than stated and the delivery driver was nice.

Really nice. Not greasy. Piping hot. Quick. Could crisp up salt and pepper chips a bit more but everything else we ordered has been better than any other Chinese.

First time in years we've had a Chinese from here and it was fantastic. Portion sizes were huge (especially duck chow mein and salt and pepper chips) and tasted and looked very fresh. Highly recommend.
