Just ordered special fried rice & sweet & sour chicken. Delicious! Rice was packed with meat & prawns, sweet & sour so fresh & tasty

This salt pepper chicken wings are so good u will definitely be coming back for more I have never had anything like this and the salt pepper squid is also so good and I guarantee that everything else will be such as good Edit : The food is amazing as always, literally always fills you up and is so well seasoned and flavourful, better then most fancy Chinese restaurants I've been too. I don't trust anyone who doesn't love gar pan SO DAMN GOOD. TO DIE FOR.

Iam amazed at the way this restaurant works as it’s a lovely family owned business that has great customer service, fast and efficient delivery they make sure the food they make is with love and has fascinating taste that will make sure you enjoy every last bite of it and may I also add that the lady who works at the front is a great and friendly person that I look forward too seeing everytime I go to get food.

Do not order food from this grease ball or a takeaway. Chinese people are not clean they don't burn the hair of the chicken wings and the meats dirty and black inside. No vinegar no lemon. All the salt and pepper dishes come soggy and salty way to much oil. I use to really like this place but after eating from other chinese. It's disgusting. Spend else where.

Always great food at a reasonable price

food great, however idiot driver went to wrong house who then stole it, contacted gar pan who replaced order very quickly, how driver could get wrong house is odd, correct address, instruction added to go to side door, gate would be open our house number is on both gate posts, it is in 7 inch high black numbers on the white porch, it is in foot high numbers on 4x wheelie bins, it was daylight - so why go next door who have no side door and no clearly visible numbers and then give meal to small child - best advice is collect

I've always enjoyed the food and theirs lots of it , nice enough peeps if ya go in . But there delivery driver always brings cold chips , So go and get it yourself and the chippy fine .

If you want food poisoning.. visit here. I'm unsure how they have been able to stay open for such a long time Rats and many other health and safety concerns... I give 1 star reviews to dirty places that give food poisoning, poor customer services also But give many 5 star reviews to those who deserve it. Gar pan needs to be shut down permanently

Gar Pan has always been a great place. I agree that recently, it's been a little down. I was disappointed this evening when I received a dodgy chop suey roll, which I get regularly it tasted disgusting and was no meat inside. The portions are getting smaller, and the chips are cold and dry. Sorry Dan! 😞

The food is always good. The bbq ribs are seriously amazing.

Absolutely great food, I really can't fault them, now I travelled from burnage to go there it has got to be the number 1 for Chinese take away , please just try, they do allsorts to please everyone, everything is fresh and cooked properly

Fantastic service and excellent food great value for money but the atmosphere is a bit dull.

Been a regular for years always enjoyed the food but since this year it's gone down in my book. Just ordered King Prawn fried rice. I got about 7 undercooked prawns in the whole dish. They were soft and gooy. Rice wasn't nice and not much flavour with bits getting stuck in the throat. Shame!

The fish was absolutely fantastic, as was the salt and pepper chips

I ordered duck from here which came RAW, it made me feel sick it was disgusting and would have given anyone food poisoning. I tried to ring the restaurant they didn’t care at all and said they were closing. Never will I order from here again

Disgusting, paid £25 for a cold salt and pepper box. It's not the only time they've let me down. Multiple orders to this place over the past 10 years, and I would say I've had 2 good meals from here. Please guys, Avoid this Abhorrent place. The quality really does SHOW when the owner cooks up cold slop and serves it to it's customers. I suggest buying from Hong Kong, gemini or noodle house instead of this terrible place. Wouldn't even give the food to my pets. I was gutted when I wasted £25 here, the chicken was cold and it didn't look fresh stall, seemed like it was leftover from previous night and microwaved. I won't be coming here again, too many times you've let me down. Visit, Hong Kong, gemeni or noodle house. All very local to gar pan, and better food

Bang in this place do not be mistaken by the exterior as with most take aways it's the food that matters and this place is spot on

What are the 1 star reviews complaining about? There's never anything to complain about. Food's always on time. It's fresh and tastes amazing overall the best takeaway I've been to in a long long time

Staff are almost openly hostile or rude or ignore you at best on a good day. Customer area is always greasy and unpleasant. On a rainy day you will slide on a slippery floor if not wearing hiking shoes. If you're lucky you can witness an intervention from immigration services while waiting for your order (saw it once when lived next door). I would give them 1 star if not for the food. The food is usually very good or excellent there, made of good ingredients and come in decent portions for a decent price. So yeah. Slap in the face and good food - this is what you get at Gar Pan.

3 stars as this place is hit and miss. Sometimes, the food is delicious 😋 and some days the same food is wack They say 15 minutes for collection, you go at 15 and end up waiting another 15. They ask for the money before you get the food, so you can't get off if waiting exceeds.

The shop was closed down by immigration for hiring illegal workers and the rumour is that the hygeine of the restaurant is very dubious. If you are desperate and hungry, then consider...

I’ve been looking around for the best tasting salt and pepper chips since I’m obsessed, have been to 6 different takeaways before coming here, and I think I’ve found the one, the price is very reasonable and the chips were not too spicy, as I do love my spice but just the right amount. I shall be back next for the salt and pepper chicken!

have not used for while as went very expensive then used last week for 3 adults very reasonable came really quick used again for 2 adults and even with delivery charge and less ordered it was nearly 6 pound dearer so won't be going there again did not make sense

Their fried tofu is really good. We get dinner from here at least once a week.

They have some very good Chinese food which is served very warm. This is a go to place for your meal. Very affordable, place is very tidy and food is prepared in a timely manner. Delivery is also very fast. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants good food at affordable price

Me and my husband have come here regularly for years, however on the last two occasions the price charged and the price on the board do not add up. I understand everything has gone up in April, however the price on the board instore and the prices on Just eat are different to the price they charge when you order at the counter. The first time we had brushed it off as we had customised our order, the second time I calculated the price on the board before reaching the till yet the lady asked for £2.00 more. The shop was too busy at this point for me to make a fuss so I decided to check Just eat and see what the prices were and sure enough I had been over charged. As this has now happened twice I feel they may be over chargeing on purpose. The food however is okay as I have only ever ordered chippy items not Chinese.

Not impressed.I haven't dined here in about 2 years and my favourite Chinese Gi foo is closed on Monday,so thought I would try gar pan ....1 word STALE.FOOD NOT COOKED FROM FRESH WASTED 40 POUND, no flavour, rice was like mush,ribs were dry and fatty,salt pepper chicken wings nasty also thought the prawn balls were old.Rather than argue the toss trying to get my money back I'd rather spread the word about the poor food and prevent someone else being disappointed.I didn't even want to give them a star but I had to in order to post the review.I would give them 0 stars.

Excellent service and very tasty food. Staff are lovely, in particular Zhan who couldn't do enough for us. We placed a very large order over lunchtime... nothing was too much trouble, and considering we ordered off the lunchtime menu (expecting smaller portions) the portions were actually really big. Very impressed, great value for money. Thank you.

Fantastic, good quality food as always.

We ordered 2 chicken and sweetcorn soups along with crispy chilli chicken and found the food to be subpar. The soups contained barely any sweetcorn or chicken and had some froth on top of it. The crispy chilli chicken was inedible as it tasted of warm ketchup. One of the few times where we did not finish a takeaway!

Freshly cooked fish and chips, especially yummy salt and pepper chips.

Im sure this style of Chinese food is great for certain peoples tastes but it wasn't my best experience. It lacked the flavours and spices I expected and tasted more chemical than natural and made my stomach rumble within minutes, the Salt & Pepper was a totally new style to me with bigger pieces of onion slices than I saw before. It lacked care about the quality of food being served. The rice was ok but to even not enjoy the battered salt & pepper mushrooms and the S&P tofu was disappointing. We are looking for another place to eat good food from. 🙏

The spare ribs is one of the best I had locally in Manchester. I would accord 5 ☆.The other food are generally alright.

It was alright, nice sweet and sour chicken but some bald dude in trackies was inside asking staff and customers they've seen a man named Neo and he pulled up a photo of this guy. Great food but very odd to allow someone like that into the chippy let alone let him stay.

Just ordered a takeaway and was 20 m8ns late over the 45mins time slot . And this was at 5.30 dinner time my family are hungry and need there tea .reng then and the lady on the phone is very rude and snappy. I order from hear atlwast once a week so regular customer . . Rang me back saying have to have the oderd now . Sorry no I don't. ..... get your delivery sorted and your customer service very bad new oners shocking will.never ever ever ... ring this chippy there are loads more out there find a better one 🙌

I have been going here since I was 14 I was so disappointed with the service I recently got. I don’t eat meat (yes I still order my food from places that serve meat) but I asked for veg spring rolls I got chicken spring rolls... I ate one and realised it wasn’t veg spring roll. I then got told on the phone I ordered chicken (not ate meat in 9 years - so I naturally know what chicken is alien for me to even say if ordering food) no apology nothing! Then she said so do you want veg spring rolls I said yes please and asked how long I would be waiting to get told she doesn’t know il have to wait. Shocking customer service. Unfortunately I won’t be going back here.

It said it's open during lunch hour, well I just went there and it's closed. Shutter is down. Revise the opening hours so the customers don't get there for nothing.

Only tried about 5 items on the menu, the chips are fresh chippy chips and the fish is also of the fresh variety not frozen. Food is heavy on seasoning, salt/msg. You will get thirsty after a full on meal for sure. Fish dishes here are a stand out because they use fresh cod, so good texture and big chunky pieces. Sweet n sour fish I would say is one of the best around but other sauces are good too but I would ask for less seasoning. Their salt n pepper chips however I feel are under seasoned but there is plenty of onion/chilli, more than average. They do lunch deals which seem good. I would say their general portion sizes are big. Value is good, they are normally very busy and you will need to queue. Won't recommend going in weekend or during rush, typically when things are busy the quality goes down and it applies here. 7/10

I placed an order over the phone- 1st I couldn’t understand a word the lady was saying, and wen I ordered a jumbo sausage for my son, I end up with prawn crackers. ( that’s my son not eating)👍🏽 And wen I rang up the lady was so rude, and in total denial, they need to speak slower and more clearer wen taking orders in future, wouldn’t be going ever again 👍🏽

Would definitely order again. Ordered: Sweet and sour chicken balls (6/10); Salt n pepper ribs (10/10); Char Siu chow mein 9/10). First the praise: Delivered quickly and piping hot; Great portion size; Salt n pepper ribs were banging, as was the chow mein; Arrived with comp prawn crackers. A bit of criticism: I ordered over the phone from the menu available on the restaurant’s google profile. The menu is an image uploaded by the owner. It is out of date and I ended up paying £18.10 when I was expecting to pay £14.70; The chicken balls had a strange bitter taste to the batter; The lady who took my order on the phone was quite curt and rude, then when I called up to report the disparity in price the same rude lady offered no apologies nor compensation for having incorrect prices advertised.

I got a portion of fish and chips the other day.. The chips were fine but the fish seemed raw.. It did not have too much batter on it so it missed the crunchness they use a different kind of fish it's not cod... Its OK.. But not like the tradational ones back in the days..

DISGUSTING!!!!! The lady working the line swore at me whilst making an order and discussing things in another language. The food turned up cold we asked for a replacement giving back the rest of the food that was not in the bin but they wanted the food digging out of the bin WEIRDOS. Delivery driver was terrible service and the fish was not cooked atall which is why it was thrown in the bin. Vile humans

Been going to Gar Pan for years now. Food can be a bit hit and miss, but okay once you get past the female servers bad manners. However, yesterday was very below par! Spent £20+ on food, and these were the chips we got served. Did not realise until we got home. Called to complain and got the responses of “what do you want me to do?”, “it’s not our fault”, “speak to the potato man, it’s his fault”. Honestly, the females attitude was disgusting. The chips looked like they had been there since the previous day! Completely ruined our meal with their standards and attitude. Terrible customer service.

Really nice food. Had to wait forty minutes for chips and Curry once, fifteen orders were placed and sorted before mine (not waiting for chips to be cooked or anything l). I'd been forgotten about. No apology or anything. I still go, don't get me wrong it's great. I just still hold a grudge for that being the second time something like that had happened. Would still recommend
