Had a delicious lunch yesterday, great choice, piping hot. Service was prompt and staff friendly, will definitely be back

This was out 1st time here, had been recommended by family members . We were lucky enough to get the last available table. We were greeted and served by a very polite and exceptionally well mannered young man, and a friendly chatty lady. The room was very clean and comfortable. The starters looked amazing and tasted even better ( 1x nachos & 1x pate) Our mains were probably the best restaurant food we've had in quite a while . It was all home made ,hot, plentiful, fresh and extremely delicious. ( the chunky chips alone were worth the visit) (Chicken, cheese bacon burger & steak pie) The price was very reasonable. We will definitely be back and will certainly recommend to friends and family . Thank you

we hired the platform lounge for a surprise 60th. we have previously used the hall for a surprise 30th and thinks it’s a brilliant hall for a function. the decor is modern and clean. the buffet food tasted great and the team working on the night were so helpful and nice. they offered to set the hall up in advance if we dropped the stuff off and the price to hire the hall was reasonable. They also provide a DJ you pay so you aren’t stressing about the other details. we had a great night and i’m sure for any further functions we have in the family we will use. thanks so much from the Steins

I booked the Railway Inn as I had heard how good the meals were. I messaged them as I live in Guernsey and was coming home for my 60th Birthday. All the correspondence was answered very quickly and they were great to deal with on the phone before the event. When we arrived they had everything all set out and were very quick in serving the 25 of us due to sending everyone's order a few days previously. I can only say the food was generous portions and piping hot. The steak pie was delicious. I would certainly recommend The Railway Inn to anyone looking for great staff, excellent prices and of course the best staff. Thanks again to all the staff for their very attentive service and compliments to the Chef for the delicious food.

Decided to drop in for a spot of lunch today as we had heard the restaurant was good, and we were not disappointed. We ordered a chicken burger and macaroni cheese. The burger was great: the breast of chicken was huge, but still juicy, the salad and coleslaw were really nice and the chips were excellent. The macaroni also hit the spot: properly made with a decent cheese sauce. Large portions, friendly, efficient service - we'll be back.

Food was fantastic, staff were excellent, would recommend here, the steak was cooked perfectly, the sides were great as well.

Great service from Julie M and Sharon. Lovely surroundings and comfortable seating areas. Friendly helpful and attentive staff, choices excellent, we had the special that day beef stroganoff and Belgian waffle and ice cream which was delicious and very generous portions. Would highly recommend the railway Inn, went on Sat night to watch Barbara Bryceland she was amazing, the hot and cold buffet was lovely lots to chose from, the staff were lovely very friendly and never stopped the whole night.

Had a santa experince booked at another venue and got cancelled due to being in level 3. This place is running a "breakfast with santa experience", which is against current governement restrictions as they are in level 3. I hate to bring a business down at this time, especially hospitality businesses as they have had it tough over the last couple of months, however, its things like this that are going to ruin it for not only themselves but other hospitality businesses, not to mention the health risks that are associated, from no social distancing to singing

Enjoyed the meal there although waited 40mins for it to arrive, even though the place was empty. A lack of atmosphere made worse by no background music. It was like waiting for the party to start.

For several months my friend and I have visited a broad selection of restaurants in the Stirling, Falkirk area for lunch. The Railway is by far the best we have visited from the well priced excellent food to the warm welcome and great service from Julie and the rest of the staff,there's no better place to go.

Brilliant pub grub. All had something different from the menu and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Also great service.

We meet our friends every Tuesday for lunch so are always looking for new venues, we have dined here several times which says a lot, service is good, food wholesome and plentiful friendly atmosphere. One small problem depending when you go it can be a bit chilly a door opens directly into dining area.

Called up last minute (as I was driving there) looking for a table for 5 and it wasn’t a problem. We were seated right by the door however so got a nightly draft as people came and went. Food was nice service was great when we told them we had to be going for a certain time they made sure our food was out quickly.

The last few times we've been for Sunday lunch the roast beef has been very disappointing. Tough, hard to cut and even harder to chew. In fact the last time I had it, I choked quite badly. It used to be "melt in the mouth"! What's Happened to it? However on a more positive note, I visited with my daughter and their macaroni cheese is the best I've ever tasted, as is their lasagne. We love the Railway Inn and still think their food is first class (apart from the roast beef)!!

Heading south on the A9, we decided decided to opt for a restaurant with good Trip Advisor reviews, so we chose the Railway Inn in Dennyloanhead, which is very close to the motorway. What a good decision. The meal was British fare, with a nice home-cooking appeal. Menu was wide ranging ; portions were very good, and the taste was excellent. Staff were friendly and the prices were very good.

. due to several recent meals I have to ask what has happened to your kitehen ? Your fish used to be the best in the district but now the batter is so thick it is virtually enedable it used to be light fluffy & delightful to eat ,sadly this is not now the case. Your renowned Sunday roast is also not without fault the beef which used fall apart with a fork is now quite tough to cut with a knife & fork & even tougher to chew, the yorkshire pudding is tasteless. I have been a regular for some years & will continue to be, but please do something about the standard of the food being served by your kitchen, they are not doing you any favours and are spoilling what has always been a most enjoyable experience.

It's rare for me to get a Sunday off and spend time with my wife, without the kids, so we decided to go out for breakfast and chose the Railway Inn. We have been here before for an evening meal (ages ago) and thought it was good value food with a decent choice. However on this occasion, we felt the quality of the food was a lot lower than it should be. The link sausages were really pale in colour and pretty tasteless. The coffee we agreed was not filter and more instant, so we felt a bit disappointed. The cost was reasonable but for a few more £'s there are places 5 minutes away that really go out of their way on quality. Overall, it wasn't too bad, just a bit bland. We wouldn't go for breakfast again. The staff are nice & the place is really clean.
