Was recommended to go try this place out and it did not disappoint. Firstly the look of the place fresh, contemporary and nice lighting. The food was amazing and as you can see from the pictures it was presented at the highest level. The manager Ronny was fantastic in his hospitality for me and my family went above and beyond for us. Absolutely will be going back again. 10/10

we tried the food because of the previous reviews that people had left online and we were EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the taste of the food. on top of the that, they are charging more than high end restaurants on wilmslow road. just imagine a small portion of chips for £4.25??? that just doesnt make sense. moving on, in the grill, the lamb shish was overly chewy and hard - even when using knife and fork. the chicken steaks has NO TASTE at all, whatsoever - so over pricy and the chicken was hard too (possibly overcooked). the chicken patty in the burger was overly oily - all you could taste was oil. personally, i DO NOT recommend. £102.05 for food that didnt even taste that good??? the service was good however.

Absolutely fantastic food. Ronnie and the crew were fantastic.. First time but deffinately not the last we will be here. The onion flower starter a total must. Buffalo wings from a 747, lamb chops, chicken so moist, don't drive past, you will miss a total treat.

What an absolute delight. I visited on Thursday September 5th. It was a nostalgic visit. My grandparents owned the Railway when it was a pub, they retired 40 years ago in 1984. We went to raise a glass to them and remember the past - My brother, Mum and my grandmas sister Ellen who is now 93. We were all absolutely delighted with the food, service and ambience. The steaks were perfect, the cocktails delicious and the Manager “Ronnie” is the perfect host. We would probably never have visited had we not had the family connection - however, we were bowled over, and we’ll certainly be back with friends and family. This place is definitely worth a visit - please go and give Ronnie and the team your support - you won’t be disappointed !

Fantastic experience. We searched for places to eat in Rochdale and saw Railway grill does blooming onions! I had these in America and remember how good they are so we have this place a try. Everything was fantastic, the food and the service. We are working in the area a lot now so will definitely be back here again! We had steaks, lamb chops, and fish and it was all very tasty and cooked to our request. Would definitely recommend

Outstanding. We drove 45mins to try this place after seeing it on Instagram and was hoping it will be worth it. Let me tell you, it was worth every minute. Hats off to Tamim and Ronnie who looked after us from start to finish the customer service was incredible. We had the ribeye steaks with peppercorn sauce and it was perfect. The sharing platter was amazing too. If you’re still thinking about coming here then stop thinking and start driving. And prepare for your tastebuds to have a mesmerising experience…

Food was absolutely amazing the staff were very attentive especially with our grandaughter they coldnt do enough for us it was my birthday and i even got some cake which was such a lovley touch. It was our first time there but most certainly be back

I recently dined at Railway Grill and had an exceptional experience! I ordered the medium ribeye with smashed potatoes, and both were absolutely fantastic. The ribeye was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The smashed potatoes were the perfect complement, creamy and well-seasoned. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. If you're looking for a great meal with excellent service, Railway Grill is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Definitely recommend the food and service was excellent, the place is clean and the staff are very welcoming and attentive - can't wait to return We had the Hummus with flatbread and nachos as a starter and they were fab, really good portion size and delicious Hummus - really tasty with zaatar mixed in and the flatbread was soft and tasty Nachos - with jalapenos and cheese - nice For Mains we had the Alfredo pasta with garlic bread, chicken steak, smashed potatoes,and skin on fries all delicious 😋 definitely recommend For dessert we had the chocolate brownie and hot chocolate drinks they hit the spot

First time coming here and it was best meal we have had in a long time. Family of 6 and 4 fuzzy children who loved all there meals. Ronnie the member of staff was polite, friendly, couldn't fault anything at all. Decor was beautiful. Highly highly recommend this place and will be back minus the children next time 😂❤️

Really nice place, fell upon it by accident. Would defi otley visit again, quality of food was excellent, well presented and seved with a smile. The hummus starter was fresh and bread was soft and warm. The fillet steak was cooked as requested and extremely tender, same goes with the Lamb chops. Fantastic place and would recommend.

Amazing food with a 5 ☆ service. It was our first visit, and we would definitely go back. The food was delicious, prices were reasonable and the staff were very friendly and created a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is clean, and decorated to a high standard. What i loved about this place was the cleanliness! The staff were so friendly and most of all the food was amazing. The platters were perfect and a very good price for the portion. Lamb chops were cooked to perfection. Only downfall was the chips they weren’t great. Tasted and looked like old chips. Other than that the food was on point. The spicy rice was delicious! Their chicken salad was soo soo good! Will definitely go again! 🩷

The steak was cooked on uneven hot plate which made it over cooked in some places and under cooked in some. I asked for medium rare but it was done well. Won’t recommend steak to order there.

Honestly, this establishment was a delightful surprise. A nice and cosy restaurant with top notch customer service where they were providing helpful recommendations when we were unsure of which dish to choose! We ended up choosing the Lamb chops which were medium cooked and juicy and tender garnished with salad and a slightly spicy mint sauce. Also, the starters were the dynamite prawns and blooming onion which completely shocked me as to how tasty it was and very filling. I would definitely recommend a visit here with friends and family.

Very disappointing experience. Had a waiter constantly hovering over us while we ate. Very uncomfortable. We were asked twice if we had finished our meal, whilst we were still very obviously eating! We had 2 young children!!!!! This was only 40 mins from when we got seated!!! Clearly wanted us out!!!!!!! Only went on recommendation!!!! Absolutely will not be going again.

Lovely welcoming staff, clean and pretty aesthetics. Best blooming onion and fillet steak I’ve ever had. So much flavour and cooked to perfection. First time here. Nice and clean venue. Friendly staff. I had the Blue Lagoon, Buffalo wings, Bloomer Onions, Ribeye steak with skin on fries n veg. And creme brulee. Overall great experience and food. What would I have different: Blue Lagoon I prefer it sweeter. I asked for medium rare for my steak however I received medium.. Still enjoyed it full of flavour and tender. Would recommend. Parking; there's street parking otherwise you may want to use taxi/uber to avoid issues.

I enjoyed the Rib Eye steak even though we asked for medium rare and came as medium. (Cooking timing needs a little attention) Steak was perfectly seasoned. Couple of fixes would be the peppercorn sauce and it tasted more like gravy. Would focus and getting this to a more genuine tasting peppercorn sauce using generous amount of pepper, and single cream. We ordered mash but it came as skin on potatoes which is still decent but expected proper mash. Overall food was tasty and service was excellent. Mocktail was also spot on. I would come again. Decided to eat here based on positive online reviews... Ordered a couple of ribeye steaks and a salmon steak After roughly 20 minutes of placing our order, was told by a member of staff that the food should be ready shortly unfortunately that was not the case, as had to make another enquiry regarding our order after another 20-25 minutes When the food finally arrived, the salmon steak was a little small in my opinion but nevertheless had good taste and flavour. The ribeye steaks were of good size and quality, they were tender and juicy but unfortunately overly salty. Like the steaks were cooked to near perfection but then burried in salt. In order to eat them, the brothers had to dip them fully into the peppercorn sauce to reduce the taste of the overpowering salt. I only had a taste of the brothers steak and wasn't impressed at all, wasn't edible as far as i was concerned. Personally if I had ordered the steak, I would have sent it back . Left the premises quite disappointed as I think the place has good potential Like I always say everyones taste buds differ and opinions are different and this is just my honest opinion..

Dined in here. We were very well looked after by the owner, Ronny. Food was unbelievably good. We had the bloomin onion for starter and dynamite prawns, both amazing in presentation and overall quality. For mains we had a sharing platter with chicken shish, lamb chops, kofta, chicken wings with sides (chips, rice, salad and sauces and naan) not a bad word to say about any of it. Bear In mind, if you are looking for alcoholic drinks, they are not served here. We had mocktails, which were of such high standard the lack of alcohol content was irrelevant. Overall, service, food, drinks and price point were brilliant. Will most definitely make a point of returning, a hidden gem in Rochdale, keep up the good work boys and girls 😎💥💥💥

The service was ok atmosphere was ok But the food was not as expected we got four well done sirloin steak each of our steaks were different from rare to over well done. Lucky I don't have false teeth otherwise they would have come out mine was so rough and chewy. Wouldn't recommend their steak to anyone try something else on their menu. You'll disappointed on the steak.

Ordered food 2 hours ago and it still hasn’t arrived. Tried calling the restaurant loads but one number says user busy and the other is going to voicemail. Won’t be ordering again!

We ordered a mixed grill platter for 4 and it served 4 adults very comfortably. The lamb chops were beautiful and tasty, the spicy rice was good too tho maybe a slightly bigger portion of it would be better. The hummus was also good and the steak was well cooked. The blue mojito was also really good. If you’re looking for a place which does a good mixed grill at a reasonable price, this is definitely the place!

I usually order directly from your app however I used Just Eat this time so I can leave a review. We’ve ordered from this place a few times now and the food has been spot on every time. The quality, flavour, and portions cannot be matched. Very well packaged too, you can tell that this restaurant puts quality over quantity.

Good experience! Went for iftar Saturday evening… timing of the food being served was impressive and we did have to pre order. Desserts were fantastic, good quality and fresh. Family owned business great atmosphere.

Nice to have somewhere that does proper steak in the area. The others tend to overdo the steak but here, perfect. The other dishes were quite nice as well as the drinks. The creme brulé sadly didn't have any flavour but the other deserts did. Also feel like the hummus could do with some working on. Overall, really good halal restaurant which is great for the local area.

I regret to say that my recent visit to Railway Grill was a disappointment from start to finish. Despite pre-booking my order, the service was abysmal. Not only did they manage to mess up my order entirely, but the steak I received was so salty it bordered on inedible. What's more, I was taken aback when I found out they had the audacity to charge me for what should have been complimentary chocolates. To top it off, I had ordered the Ramadan platter, only to be hit with an unexpected double charge on my bill. This experience left a sour taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally.Railway Grill needs to address these issues promptly if they hope to retain their customers' trust and loyalty. As it stands, I'm hesitant to give them another chance.

We visited Railway Grill in Ramadan, and their iftar service was timely and efficient. We booked a table in advance, and they called us later in the day to take a pre-order to ensure the food would be ready on time. When we arrived around 35 mins before iftar, we were seated and given dates and water to open out fast with. About a minute after the fast opened, our food was served, however the steak was not hot, unfortunately, and had been overcooked. We'd asked for medium rare and were given a well-done steak instead. However the dynamite prawns and hummus were very good, and the chicken karahi was also tasty. Early in the meal we had a drink spill on our table however none of the staff came to help clean up the table/floor or offer to replace the drink, they were busy with other iftar orders but some assistance would have been appreciated. There was no 'optional' service charge included on the bill, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, it was a pleasant meal, but the overcooked steak and lack of assistance with the spilled drink were a letdown.

The food was not as fresh as when I previously purchased. The contact number on here is wrong, I googled it after trying to phone several times. The food was exactly 1 hour late. When I phoned the girl said it was a just eat issue as they had got all the orders late. She seemed annoyed I’d phoned but I’d ordered the food 1.5 hours prior and they had updated JE as though it had been delivered. The food eventually came 2 hours after ordering. Shocking service! Went for Ramadhan! Staff spent more time arguing with us and wanting to charge us extra for their mistakes than actually provide us a decent meal. They need to learn some customer service! Salty steak enough to dry out your kidneys!

I would give 0 star if I could service is discusting its a mess the manager actually wants to argue about something they got wrong I wouldn't recommend at all our order was pre ordered and even then they got most of it wrong and blamed us even tho the order is on his phone and tried over charging and also charged for complimentary chocolate at the end.what a mess

Came here for Ramadan and bare in mind we preordered. Tell me why the orders were wrong. Then chef came out and tried proving us wrong that we ordered 1 less main meal.. we then checked and turns out the chef can’t count.. the waiters were rude instead of being apologetic.. the waiter serving the food out didn’t know what he was dishing out.. another waiter was again trying to make it out like we’re in the wrong.. would not recommend. This is my first ever constructive review btw. Oh an they serve uncle Ben rice out of the packet and charge a premium.

Food was excellent on my first visit. Initially, I tried the dynamite prawns, which were tasty but a little kicky. I dont mind a bit of spice. Had the mixed platter for two as well; everything was excellent, but the lamb chops were my personal favourite. The service was excellent, kind and friendly. Would most certainly go back if I were ever in the neighbourhood again.

The website says 'an exceptional dining experience', well mine was far from it. If you like your food coming out in dribs and drabs, without cutelry then you'll like this place. The cheapskate owner had only one waitress serving the entire restaurant in the middle of ramadan! You could see she was exhausted, and you couldn't get her attention when you needed it. Cheesy pasta came out first for the kids, no knifes or forkes, I think they expected my kids just to use their hands. 5 mins later the shared platter came out without the sauces and naan. We'd opened our fast, we were hungry, by the time the naan and sauces arrived we'd eaten 3/4 of the meal! 1 x cheesy pasta 1 x sharing platter for 2 3 x irn bru Total cost £50! Not worth it for the bland food that it was.
