Rahman's in North Lincolnshire

Our first visit and we will definitely go back. We went for my husband’s birthday. He decided that rather than a curry, he wanted a variety of starters. Absolutely no problem. The food was gorgeous and we both agreed it was the best Indian food we’d eaten for a long time. We ordered eight different dishes, poppadoms, pickles, chapattis and four pints of Lal Toofan. The bill came to £64 ( we expected it to be more!) The portions of curry going to other tables were enormous and looked delicious. We didn’t think we would have to book at 5.30 pm on a Thursday night but will do next time as they were busy and expecting a couple of big parties. Luckily they found us a table. A big thank you to the staff. They were all very friendly and attentive making sure we had everything we needed. I would give it more stars if I could.

Food was it's usual very high standard. Service exceptional. Had garlic lemon rice for second time and it was delicious

Came here Friday night havnt been for a while , but didn't dispoint Food and service was spot on , had abit of a wait due to kitchen been busy with deliveries but was told about wait etc and to fair wasn't even that long . Will be back .

After a hard weeks work I was going go for a Indian, I was a bit reluctant to phone 1 after many in scunthorpe have been a let down, I didn't fancy this place because the service in the restaurant was amazing along with the food and I didn't want it judge my thinking. The delivery was fast and the guy was polite and had a smile on his face. The food was hot and it was amazing just as in the restaurant, very good value for money and maybe il be more lazy. Thanks alot 10/10

From the moment we walked in,we were greeted warmly by Charlie and Zak. Charlie loved my purple dress and Zak recognised my husband from working with him some years ago which was really nice. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Service first class. Everwhere is spotless. Our poppadoms and assortment of pickles was delicious. I had a king prawn butterfly starter which was absolutely divine. My husband enjoyed the garlic mushroom puree. Our mains were equally as good with plenty of rice. Drinks are very reasonable. The whole experience was an absolute pleasure. In my opinion, this is the best Indian restaurant by afar. Even other towns and cities do not even match it Thank you. We will be back.

Visit the curry House food was good and very tasty, but what made it was the service, especially the young lady Charley who was very friendly and made our night, especially when our friend made a ordering mistake she rectified his mistake without any fuss and with no delays, a credit to the business. Well done young lady

Our Anniversary meal out made special by Zack the Gaffer. He always goes the extra mile to make you feel special and welcome. A very nice place to eat. I would say Rahmans is one the best if not The Best Curry Restaurants in N. Lincs! The quality and taste is hard to beat as the Top Bangladeshi chef uses only the best ingredients. We have had Several Take-aways from here too and they consistently score 10/10. I would certainly recommend this place.. It's quite a find! Helen & David (Crowle)

Dining room was clean and inviting. The manager and staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. The food both starters and mains were excellent-well presented, hot and tasty. Best Indian restaurant in the town-well done.

Was in another weekend had an amazing service from wonderful waitress couldn’t ask for better service. The young girls were absolutely polite. Also the manger was very friendly and made us very comfortable with the service highly recommended, definitely will be coming back soon!

I’m flabbergasted to see reviews complaining about the manager when it’s the manager who’s given these waitresses a stepping stone in life. Throughout the year I have been going to Rahmans, where the service received is impeccable. Keep up the amazing service Rahmans don’t let two silly comments destroy your warmth and amazing service.

Food was great and the waitresses were so good couldn’t have asked for any better service but on the other hand the manger was so rude to his staff and at one point even us I felt so sorry for the girls and hope they are ok and who ever is in charge to learn some respect for his staff

Juts been here and fair enough it is Christmas eve and they had a full restaurant and many online orders don't get me wrong the food was lovely and the waitresses whwre the most lovely girls ever but the manager was absolutely horrible. He was constantly shouting at the waitresses and even at one point threw a piece of paper at one of them while they where busy pouring a drink. He was also rude to us saying our table was a nightmare just because we where a party of 15 people and had young children with us. Either way it doesn’t excuse him to treat his waitressing staff so horribly and as if the job they are doing wasnt hard enough. And to the three girls your service was incredible and we couldn’t ask for anything better and i hope you get a new boss soon.

Another fabulous meal at Rahmans. Wish we lived nearer as we would visit every week! The chef chatted to us about our food preferences and the fish dish he cooked for us was amazing - thank you! Visited Saturday night after booking a table, the restaurant is very clean and has an authentic feel to it. The food was 10/10 out of the four of us we had not one single complaint. The host Zack was very welcoming and attentive, all this considered we will certainly be back again.

As always it doesn’t disappoint, we haven’t been here since it was refurbished and it was as good as ever, much cosier and better lighting making it a better experience The food was delicious and service first class

We have used Rahmans for over 30 years but were lured away by a new restaurant which opened in town a couple of years ago. What a mistake that was, sorry Rahmans we’ll never be unfaithful to you again. You’re the best!

A lovely warm welcome from smiley staff which really made us feel comfortable and excited for our meal. Ive visited on many occasions with family, a party of friends and my boyfriend, who all of which agree Rahman’s is a fantastic place to dine!

After a very dry January we decided to have a curry night. My daughter, son in law and two granddaughters came with me and my hubby. The staff where very friendly and saw to our every need. This is a child friendly restaurant so the children were made to feel welcome. The atmosphere was very chilled and the staff couldn’t do enough for us, the food was beautiful and hot when it arrived. A really lovely night out.

Visited mid evening, Reasonably busy but restaurant is extremely spacious with lots of comfortable seating,Soon drinks were dispatched & orders taken by friendly polite staff, Starters were excellent piping hot & when devoured we were asked if we would like a rest or would we like our mains to follow, A nice touch!! Again excellent service & the quality of the food matched it & upon the bill being delivered we were pleasantly surprised, Definitely worth a return visit soon!!

First visit back to the UK in 30 odd years so was craving the good old English Indian. Not disappointed at all,excellent service and very expansive menu, couldn't have been any better

Ordered a takeaway from here, both currys were quite tasteless, chicken in the curry is dry and abit hard, not succulent. Chips taste abit weird and the naan bread was burnt! Rice was the only thing that was ok, definitely wont be going here again!

Once the best curry house by far now average at best and left dissapointed by last 2 meals. Chips always good but this place must have changed chefs as the curry looked more like gravey than any curry I can remember from there, also not seen front of house Si last twice in there who always made sure your meal was good. Have a rethink guys as your not in the top 5 now

Pleasant meal, starters were bland in taste. The evening was ruined by a group of male diners who did not appear to be able to converse unless every other word began with F or C and i;m sure we all dont need to listen to their sexual exploits in graphic detail.

The food was cold when it was placed on the table, I told the waiter and he just said sorry and did nothing about it! I do have to admit it was very tasty but shame about the temperature

I have pretty much been to every indian in Scunthorpe barring rahmans. I had heard good things but just never got round to trying it.

Haven't been to Rahmans for nearly 4 years due to moving away from Scunthorpe. A stop over meant another chance to visit- still the best curry house in Scunthorpe. Right from the moment you open the door you are made very welcome and the service throughout is very good. Staff are very attentive but don't overly do it. The food is as good as ever and can be tailored to your preference. I had Rogan Josh but made to a Madras strength and it was excellent. Rahmans have always been a favourite and will always remain so. The style of cooking is Bangladeshi rather than Pakistani so may not be to the liking of die hard Pakistani curries fans, but if you want the best curry in Scunthorpe then you've got to try Rahmans.

It doesn't have to be hot to be good, just very tasty. Rahman's has fulfilled this criterion for many years and continues to do so. I would never go anywhere else for a good Indian meal.

El ambiente es relajado y el servicio es de primera categoría, el curry siempre es genial, el curry de pescado están en punto y hacen un estupendo Cordero Terry Wogan, la cebolla bharjis le verdaderamente cambiar su vida. Mi esposa es vegetariana y no muy bien para ella aquí. Están autorizados y tienen Lal Toofan de barril.

We went here for a colleagues leaving meal.The food was good but nothing spectacular and the service was good too. Would I return yes I would.

Hemos estado yendo a Rahman's desde que puedo recordar (más de 20 años) y siempre ha sido muy buena comida junto con muy buen servicio. La comida es muy razonable a 50 libras un par de 3 platos con bebidas. Si te apetece una comida india en Scunthorpe, no puedes equivocarte con Rahman.

He estado en promedio rahmans una vez cada 3 semanas durante el año pasado o así. La comida es absolutamente increíble. Mejor aún es el personal, muy amable, acogedor y muy divertido. Normalmente no me gustan los restaurantes indios en el REINO UNIDO pero rahmans ha sido una absoluta delicia. Muchas gracias a todos y sigan así.

Tiene un ambiente selecto Rahmans y es un restaurante elegante y moderna de la India. El personal es muy eficiente y amable. La comida es maravillosa, con un amplio menú de opciones que cubren todo caliente y picante al rico y aromático. - Con un montón. Calidad ingedients a un precio razonable. Opciones vegetarianas. Comer en mesas o en cabinas, combinaciones de mesa puede acomodar a grupos grandes para celebraciones y fiestas. .

Llamado para el té con un amigo anoche tener primero una rápida reckie hecho de Scunthorpe. Mis favoritos habituales estaban cerradas y como no puedo recordar la última vez que comimos en Rahmans mi amigo y yo decidimos darle una oportunidad. El pop siempre y pickle entrante que era buena, ensalada de cebolla. Yo tenía un cordero zafrani que era en general para los principales, sabroso. Mi amigo optamos por un plato de pollo que también estaba bien. Si tengo una crítica es que normalmente está muy bien tierna de cordero indio de haber sido cocinado lento y largo y este era un poco duro, pero todavía aceptable. Floater café y uno de los típicos postres congelados a menudo sirve. En general está bien. Par de pintas de Lal y una factura de 40 libras.

The food is very delicious . The place is quite nice and capacious. The staff are very slow and not very welcoming. I recommend it for takeaway rather than eat in.

Thanks to Michael and his staff for 1) fitting a group of five in on New Year's Eve with a booking request on 30th, I know this took a lot of juggling to accommodate us, and 2) with the place heaving maintaining the high standard of food. Service was slower than normal but with the shear volume of people there you could not really complain. The complimentary drink on the house was well received.

Went for a chilled out curry with friends and the service we received was terrible at 11.03 they told us to leave after spending nearly 100 pound for 3 of us at 11.03 we had 3/4 of a pint left and they said we r shutting.

I went to Rahmans with some friends from work and 10 of us ate for under £150, very decent when you consider it is Indian food which is very pricey.I had the Chicken Tikka Balti with chips and a naan bread (the naan is included with the curry), and it was really nice. It's a dish I usually have at Indian restaurants because I think it is one of the tastiest dishes on the menu so for me it is somewhat of a benchmark for a restaurant. The only Balti I have had which was better was from Zeera Spice Lounge, another Indian restaurant in Scunthorpe, which really does speak about some of the rich culture currently in the town.The restaurant is located on the street which never sleeps, Frodingham Road, parking for the restaurant is unfortunately non-existent and you are forced to park on the side of the road, but other than that minor criticism I would highly recommend Rahmans as one of Scunthorpe's top restaurants.

Went for a birthday party on Sunday night. Approx 16 people at the function. Warmly greeted by all the staff. Sid came to take our orders. All had papadoms with a choice of chopped onion, lime pickle or mango chutney. Orders taken and all brought out together. All orders remarkably enough correct and all dishes piping hot. No complaints from any one and bills paid in an orderly fashion. Staff looked after us very well. Attentive without sitting on top of us. Drinks ordered from the table and promptly delivered.

We had a Takeway, Great food, lovely staff very helpful Had Tandoori lamb chop, king prawn puri and the best peshwari naan we ever had. Would definitely recommend this place

Went as a party of 10, service was great, friendly but not over baring. The food was fantastic and served in a timely fashion (not always the case for larger parties) and everything was piping hot. Looking forward to going back!

We've been coming here for over 15 years, even came here on our wedding night for a meal. The food here is amazing as is the service. Our kids love coming to Rahman's as much as we do and love chatting to Sid and Co. If you want fantastic food, fantastic service then Rahman's is it. We won't go anywhere else :-)

We left the choice of venue to our friend, & we were so pleased with the choice. We had eaten there a couple of times before, but with such a number of Asian restaurants its sometimes difficult to choose. Do you try a new one not visited or do you stay with the tried & tested, & on this occasion it was the latter. Extremely friendly, & that is all the staff, courteous & helpful.

Extensive menu at reasonable prices, very good food but the warmth of the welcome and the charming staff is the truly outstanding feature, and the individual booths make for a private a cosy dining experience. We will be back.

Up on a work visit but met a friend at zeera, another good restaurant in scunthorpe. When we got there it was closed so we tried another. We went through a housing estate and found rahmans.We asked for 4 best currys between us and he brought two but they were big and absolutely brilliant.Best curry house in scunthorpe by far! Really good food.

Been going here for years. Central location. Staff are really friendly especially Sid the Manager who is really friendly and very good at his job - nothing is too much trouble and you can have a laugh too. They seem to have lots of 'regulars' which shows the food is good.

Visited last weekend and was not disappointed the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent if going out for an indian meal we nearly always go here as never have a problem and i sure if there was any issues they would be sorted great

We visited on a very busy Saturday night and as we hadn't booked we had to wait a short time for a table, which of course we didn't mind doing. Once seated it was a good 15 mins before someone took our order and then about another 25 mins before we got our starters. Our waiter apologised for the delay, stating the fact it was a busy night. It was busy, but who wouldn't expect it to be busy on a Saturday night? I felt that they were short staffed and the waiters worked very hard for their money. The food was lovely but the slowness of service brings this place down to an "average".

Eaten in and taken away many times. The food is great, nothing exceptional, but great value for money.Talk to the guys about what you like and they'll point you in the right direction. Don't just have what you know, try something else - the Jhinga Chatack is exceptional - butterflied king prawns grilled in the tandoor with lightly spiced sauce.

We rang them more than ten mines , was connected through just no answer. They was in as we drove past . Also declined two of our calls then line became busy . We was ringing for over an hour. Not happy . Ruined are opinion on such a good restaurant

Yet another wonderful meal at a truly lovely restaurant .We have been many times and have never once been disappointed .Sid makes everyone feel welcome as do the rest of the staff can't wait for our next visit.

With a table of 14 you would think you'd be well looked after and the service would be spot on but tonight was extremely poor. After waiting over an hour and a half for the starter my appetite and others had pretty much gone. The food was mediocre and after that wait it needed to be amazing! I suggest you cater to the needs of your customers and the service is stepped up. Shocking!

Visited this restaurant with friends to celebrate a 21st birthday .we were all made welcome by the staff and out needs were met with all our choices of meals . Great all round service provided .Reasonably priced meals , Would definatly recommend for a that plesant evening meal out, and as a Celebratory idea.

Scunthorpe seems to have a plethora of good Indian restaurants, and this is up there with the best. Went there as part of a largish party, all of whom were pleased with the quality of the food. For the main I had the Chef's Special, which was a combination of meats and prawns in a chef's recipe sauce. The sauce was not too hot, and relied on a good combination of spices to provide a range of flavour, rather than heat. The different spices came through with each mouthful, and overall the dish was one I would have again.

The best indian restaurant, in Scunthorpe. The food is fantastic. And staff are always very friendly. Nothing is to much trouble. Wouldn't go to any other India restaurant.
