Rahat Restaurant in Leicester

We haven't tried the food but i just wanted to say the service was terrible, we asked for the price and they weren't even bothered, on the photos there have put the price. Please improve the service and add the price on the menu, Thank you

Average Restaurent. Use to be really good and reasonable price. Now I found pricey.

Only restaurant for pure india desi food lovers.

The kebab roll was burnt customer service was poor health & safety poor Self service salad tray was ope not covered. Pls do not buy your food at rahat. It's not a restaurant- more like a cafe l.

Please be careful, these day they are ripoff,portion of dray meat is now £14. Please ask before odering

Food items prepared in handies, ready. Different menu in the week. Indian prepared freshly. Sitting inside the restaurant is not that good. Food great.

First time visited this place. Simple menu for quick good food. I tried 3 dishes, rice, nan and chapati. Good tasting dishes although I bit on the hot side for my palate. A little pricey for a small takeaway eat in place.

Diarrhea, Uneatable, cream, ghee, and yogurt in curries and biryani, everything is Very Spicy, Very Salty, too much acidic tomato puree and artificial food colorings, kids cannot eat either because of dairy Intolerance & too spicy, salty also, popedom's also has very salty taste, we spent £60 and all wasted in the bin, we will avoid buying from Rahat Takeaway and Noted on our blacklisted takeaways list, Not authentic curries and Not made with care

Good Food as a Local Restaurant

You go here for the excellent food, not the decor. You can eat your fill for £10. Try the dry lamb dish, palak chicken, and chicken / lamb kebabs, all with tandoori roti or nan. Counter service

Very good curry just a bit oily but very tasty,i always go their for currys specially lamb 56!one of the best places in leicester for currys,if you know you know! Definitely recommend this place to every curry lovers!

Do not be put off by the interior decor, the food was really good!!! Wipes the floor with some of the 'extravagant' overly hyped restaurants. Friendly staff and definitely an authentic home cooked meal that went down a treat alhamdulillah. Thank you uncle, we will be sure to visit again next time we travel to Leicester. So this is one those places that looks like it needs a bit of TLC but the food is absolutely 💯 . It's really good food on a budget.

If you like curries then this is the place, I wouldn't recommend sitting , but definitely take-out, the Lamb curry is one of my favourite here like home cooked, fresh

If you want authentic food this is your place, i was recommended this place from a friend while i was visiting leicester. The owner was very friendly and food was very authentic and traditional and the tandoori roti is by far the best i have ever had light and crispy and just perfect. Il be going back for sure and not to forget the prices were decent too. Definitly worth going there. Thanks again

Very small old school looking corner restaurant they don't have much variety for children with food. The only Best point about this place is their butter chicken is just tooooo good. Not ideal for families with children.

Not a dirty place as described by some critics. The place was clean and service was good and manners polite. However the style is minimalist and distinctly rustic (country or Desi) Asian. You have to summons the old boy from kitchen at times. The menu board is lost in translation. A sink is provided for washing hands and proclaims no spitting. However some of the customers manners and eating style are somewhat akin to a chimps tea party. If you are travelled and have seen these types of places then you mind these imperfections but it's not to everyone's taste. A good cheap curry eat if you don't mind the surroundings. The rice, kebabs and chicken curry were very good. Tandoori bread nice and hot. Help yourself to salad (onions and mint yogurt). Parking a bit if a problem during the day.

Consistently amazing food! And very cheap.

Dirty place. Place stinks. Food is not as tasty as it used to be. I dont think its freshly cooked daily. Avoid going there. Better and cleaner alternatives available.

Untidy restaurant. When I went at about 3pm there was nobody at the front desk. I had to ask my way to the kitchen where my query was attended to between idle chatter amongst the workers who appeared to be getting ready for the evening order. No proper greeting, no manners. Take it or leave it attitude. Food was fairly tasty. Lamb curry had too many bones. Value for money but disappointed. Attitude could be improved with just a little attention to details.

Lovely home cooked food. Staff are friendly and food is consistently good. Cheap and cheerful. Cannot fault this restaurant. Definitely recommend.

Amazing Indian food. Menu changes daily, home cooked and fresh. Staff are Indian too so less English more hand signs haha. Although friendly and busy for what it is! Always worth the money. Can feed the whole family for £10/£15. Must try!!!

Daal chawal was peng uno reminded me of my days in India also butter chicken leaves red stuff in your nails but it's peng so it's calm

Ok i was recommended this place as it sells really nic daal gosh. I ordered for about 10-12 people and daal gosh was not good. rice and chana daal where still a bit hard not completly cooked.. and gosh wasnt well done.

If you know your daal gosht or butter chick... You know this is the place to find it! Dhaba style setting dhaba style food. As long as your okay with a little rough you will love it
