Radhuni Indian Restaurant in Mid Suffolk

I visited this restaurant with my two adults sons for an evening meal. Have been before and was very pleased with the service and food was very nice. However, on this occasion I felt very comfortable. Whilst sitting at the table looking over the menu the waiter (didn't get his name - but quite a tall guy I believe wearing glasses) put his hands on my shoulders and said "relax Ill give you a massage." This made me feel very uneasy and the boys looks very surprised at this. After our meal which I have to say was very tasty and nicely presented, we paid that was just about to leave the restaurant, the waiter came back and said "come back next Thursday we have offers/ different meals on and I can give you a full body massage. This is thought was unnecessary and I felt very uncomfortable with this comment. I feel I shall not be returning back this restaurant. !

Excellent service as always. Constantly being checked all is good and drinks topped up. But i do say the food isn’t quite as good as it was before the owner and menu change. Veg curry was a few chunks of potatoes and a couple of bits of green beans.

We went here for the first time this evening. Can't praise this restaurant highly enough. The food was first class. The staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Excellent value for money. We will definitely be returning soon.

Best Indian cuisine for miles. Polite, friendly and well informed team BUT Please invest a little on improvong the exterior presentation of the building and do get your Hygiene ratings up from 3 to 5 !

This was our first visit and it won't be the last. Packed restaurant with a very happy atmosphere, helped by superb friendly and efficient service. The food was excellent with, my wife reckoned, the best Onion Bhajis ever. Good quantities and fair prices. What more could one want?

I’ve ordered several takeaways from here and eaten in the restaurant too. They are always busy but the food is really good, reasonably priced and not too long for a wait time. I’ve tried several Indian restaurants in Suffolk and this is the best I’ve tried !

Been living down in Suffolk 7 years, a county oblivious to All in One for superb food, quality, service and value. The Radforte however has broken this mould. The food is fantastic, service is very friendly and definitely value where portions are concerned. Fabulous!!!

This is our first time at Redfort for a meal with its new refurbished restaurant. Not only was the food 100% perfect & flavoursome the decor & staff made the visit something special. We will definitely be returning very soon .

Ok.....so it WAS Christmas Eve, but my friend had ordered a takeaway 24 hours earlier! He rang when the food was 20 minutes late. There seemed to be confusion over the order, but eventually they said it was waiting for a delivery person. Eventually it arrived 35 minutes late, delicious, but almost stone cold! My friend has no microwave or conventional oven....so that was how we ate our supper.....stone cold!

100/100, great place, nice people, lovely food every time. They are revamped now as Redfort and the inside has changed.

Had a takeaway from the Red Fort this evening and it was delicious! Really fresh, and all the dishes were very well done. Couldn't fault it, a real treat!

We’ve had takeaway from here many times. Food always tastes fantastic and no problems with food being ready when we go there to collect it. Wish they delivered to us though (were just outside their range). Can be a tad pricey, especially if you have poppadoms and chutney but overall a decent place to eat or get takeaway from :)

Difficult times with the lockdown, but the takeaways from here have been magnificant. So good, I need to add a review as the poppadums and the chutneys today were exceptional. The dishes were also out of this world and we eat here very regularly and tonights were magical.

Best curry we've had in a long time could not fault it . Definitely will order again and did not have to wait long for it to be delivered neither. Highly recomend the Radhuni

We've used this place a few times both for eating in & for takeaways. The food is always excellent and the service is very good. They also have their own car park.

Hadn’t been to this restaurant for a long time,really glad I’ve returned. Went on a Saturday evening quite a large group of us. Food was beautiful service fabulous

We decided to give the Radhuni another visit,well very much improved,warmly welcomed,food excellent,new manager full of enthusiasm and newly decorated.

Another Badminton Club night out at our usual 'Curry Club'. We go for a curry every few months and as usual this was another success with great food, beer and conversation.

Decided to give this restaurant another try after a not so good experience over a year ago. So pleased that I did. It is under new management, the food was excellent the service was very good and the owner /manager took the time to tell us about his exciting plans for redecoration which it badly needs. Will be making this our restaurant of choice for our weekly Indian in the future.

We booked on line, but when we turned up they knew nothing about us as they are new owners and can't access the previous owner's site. They were very accommodating however, and showed us to a table for two immediately. Service was good despite arriving at their busy time, and the food was great. Will definitely go again.

Apparently the Radhuni is under new ownership,the food was good but service was dreadful not at all friendly,no welcome,no interest wether we enjoyed our meal.It always used to have such a friendly atmosphere.

Our traditional group Christmas Indian.The food was nice and hot in temperature and very tasty.I can highly recommend the tandori mixed grill and the vegetable curry.Parking at the rear for 10 cars or so.Staff are friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

The food was absolutely disgusting and the service was even worse. The man on the phone was unbelievably rude. Will not be returning! The Indian next to Needham Market train station is much better!

Good choice menu, friendly atmosphere & service. My curry was described as medium heat but I was disappointed as it was very sweet & not spicy. My husband had a vindaloo & said it was lovely, our friends enjoyed their choice also. Reasonably priced, not far from the town centre & parking on site.

Phoned to order a takeaway, told me he didn’t deliver to my address, although they did a month ago, when I told him they had he said phone back in 2 hours as they were busy, so rude will not bother again, sort out your phone manner

We were a party of 5 (4 adults 1 child). From the moment we walked in we were made to feel very welcome, all food was amazing, tasty and served very hot. We did have a bit of a wait as the orders somehow got muddled, but the waiter apologised as soon as he realised and gave us complimentary drinks by way of an apology. Waiter was lovely, attentive, friendly and professional. We actually booked this quite last minute, as our first choice didn’t work out, but so pleased that we came to Radhuni instead. This place certainly didn’t disappoint. Can not recommend this place enough. Book now you will be glad you did! Can’t wait for my next visit!

We enjoy the banquet on a Thursday and buffet on a Sunday.There is a good choice and variety to choose from.

A group of us meet up for a meal as we usually play Badminton every Thursday evening but every so often go out for a meal instead. Most of our meals have been at the Radhuni Indian over thepast 15 years and we always leave feeling that we have received great food and at a cost that is not too great, Value for money. Always made to feel welcome by the most helpful staff.

We just had the Sunday evening all you can eat buffet. £10.95 is a bargain for what you get. Ordered a variety of dishes and each tasted good. Havent visited here before but will definetly go back for the buffet again. Service was fairly quick considering it was quite busy and servers were friendly.

We have used Radhuni many times for delivery. Always great food, always cheerful delivery too. Much better website now, just need to add card payments. Thank you Radhuni, keep it up!

lovely family meal on New Year’s Eve really tasty and not expensive, On a very busy night they accommodated a large group and nobody waited too long.

I don't eat a lot of Indian as my Wife doesn't like Indian flavours. I really fancied a lamb chilli tikka masala so went to the place I used to go to. Staff friendly, had a Cobra while I waited in a very relaxed atmosphere.

Glad to have found this restaurant on our visit to Suffolk. After day of visiting some of Suffolk’s famous sites hunger and a bit tired it’s by pure chance found this restaurant with a car parking. The building looked a bit rundown and slightly unwelcomeing. We were tired and hungry.

We stayed in Stowmarket for 2 nights and came across this little gem on the last night, i must say the food and service was Excellent.

Ordered online, very easy. The choice was good, with a quick email confirmation. Payment only in cash, so not able to pay online.

Lovely meal here, staff very attentive, lovely flavours, chicken tikka melted in my mouth. Generous portions, very cosy, very clean restaurant with high standards. Well done to the chef and staff👍

Good prawn puree. Excellent and spicy lamb tikka chilli massala. Dhall singing with toasted garlic. Nans slightly stingy on the stuffing. Keema was barely present. All in all a very good meal.

When ever we eat out, especially locally, when we get a poor or bland meal, we always think we should have just gone to the radhuni. My 50th on Sat was cracking. Medium sized party, excellent food, excellent service....you will not get better than this

A wide choice in the menu with a wide selection of menus. The setting was clean and origianllly decorated and service was conducted by cheerful and helpful staff.

We ordered a few different dishes from the menu to try. All the dishes came out quickly and they were all delicious and fresh.

I ordered a selection of dishes from the menu on a Saturday night for delivery as I had a real craving for Indian. I asked for delivery at half seven but it didn't turn up until quarter to 8. Despite this though the food was still really hot.

6 of us came here for a bite to eat before we went out for a few drinks. Great, tasty Food and beer on offer, friendly service and all at a very reasonable price. Would come again!

Takeaway to celebrate a friends housewarming. Quick delivery, reasonably priced and tasty food. Good selection on menu and clear heat descriptions! Will definitely be ordering again .

At 40 years old it was my first Indian experience (I've had take away just never ate in) so have nothing to gauge it against. So all I can judge are the basics. It was busy (always a good sign ) service was great. Good gap between courses. Beer was cold and reasonably priced. Waiters polite and pleasant. Food was hot. Place was clean. Atmosphere was nice. The flavours were excellent and as good as any takeaway I've had. Loved the starter popadoms and chutney tray. But the banana lychee and chicken Currys was AMAZING . LIKE A KORMA OR A CYLON CREAMY texture with a hint of banana. Seriously good. So go with confidence of a good meal as I can't fault it. All my future Indians will be judged from this

We have been visiting this restaurant for years it used to be called the Royal Tandori ages ago. Our recent visit was OK the food was reasonable and service was good. The menu is varied and quite confusing. My wife's gluten free needs were not fully understood at first and perhaps a bit of in house training on special diets is needed. A colleague was called and he did not fully understand gluten intolerance "can you eat rice flour" was a response that highlighted a misunderstanding of what gluten is!

Best Indian for a takeaway in town. Every dish is defiantly very individual in flavour and texture. Great quick delivery by friendly driver.

Evening meal for 4. Lovely setting, very pleasant, helpful staff and the food is spot-on. Not too spicy. I had Chicken Tikka Madras that can be overly hot in some restaurants, but at Radhuni, it was just right, and so tasty. We all tried Prawn Puree for starters and that was just how I like it too. The food was washed down by Cobra lager, the perfect choice. They also have Kingfisher here.

Excellent food as always. Got to try a new dish, as recommended by the staff, was delicious. Happy as always with the service and can't wait till out next visit.

La salsa de menta era, yo estaba llevado otra y dijeron probar este, cuando pregunté es este bien me dijeron probarlo y si no iban a traer otra! No tenía sabor, Dansak sólo calor y calidad de la carne era pobre. Personalmente me gustaría evitar.

Service - Great, Food - Amazing! Really, really good Curry, Poppadoms, Naan, Rice .... even asked if we would like the poppadom pickles to be kept with our Main Course. Fantastic Curry House.

First time ordering from here as new to the area. Ordered online waited over an hour so thought I'd call was informed 10 minutes and the another hour later and a couple of calls it still hadn't arrived. A very pleasant lady answered and asked if I would like to speak to management who for the 2nd time this evening hung up on me! Being a manager myself that is not how I would speak to a customer The delivery driver turned up just as I called to cancel who was very apologetic after telling him my problems offered to get someone to call me!Now onto the food, salty, cold and oily the popadums where not even cooked the nan was stole cold! Will never go back!

We order from here at least twice a month and always, always have a great meal. We don't eat in but collect a takeaway, the food is always hot and tastes amazing. The curries I would say are on the mild side, we don't have an issue with that at all though. Highly recommend it, don't go anywhere else in Stowmarket for a curry!

My partner brought me here tonight for a lovely meal and we found the buffet menu was available! We opted for this menu although a bit worried about it! However we were so pleased we did as it's not set out as a buffet, you ask for what you want and it's all cooked fresh for you and it tasted amazing just as good as the normal menu!! Very happy in fact we have booked to go back with family real soon!! Xxx

Orders ignored and your left without food. Ordered online for delivery despite a friend warning me they will ignore anything you try and order after 10.30pm. Had a house full of hungry people, placed an order at 10.40pm, had an email to confirm the order only to sit and wait for nothing to come. Phone was ignored.Poor service and will not bother again. Will definitely stick to Zeera, better food and customer service.

There were a few of us so understandably a wait between courses but we didn't mind. Lots of attention from the waiting staff meant we were never without drinks! Beautiful food and a great Sunday Offer! Will definitely visit again!

Visited stowmarket so couldn't resist coming back here for a meal! It was my favourite Indian restaurant and it still is!! Great staff great food great atmosphere! So welcoming!! They even tweaked the menu to suit our 11 month old and she also really enjoyed her dinner!! Can't wait to visit stowmarket again and come back!!Highly recommend this place the food will send your taste buds to another planet everything just melts in your mouth! My mouth is watering thinking about it lol xxx

I've eaten here a few times and in the past it's been ok. But my most recent visit was anything but! I like a wide range of curries from mild to hot and on this occasion I went for a mixed meat medium strength curry. What turned up however several moons after placing my order was a meagre offering of molten lava.Quite what took so long to prepare this minuscule meal is beyond me. Perhaps it's because the one prawn it contained had fallen down the back of the freezer. Although they curiously seemed to have no problem finding the large piece of prawn shell that festooned my curry! Or perhaps the intense heat of this supposedly mild curry vaporised the soft prawn leaving the husk of a shell to crunch around my teeth!Good job I didn't have to pay extra for this experience....... oh but what's that I see upon the menu. Any special offers where you order a dish containing prawns is subject to an additional charge of £3! Well there's value for money a 3 quid prawn.At least let me enjoy the succulent flavours of my overpriced denizen of the deep without subjecting my taste buds to a culinary fire-storm of Armageddon. I leave you one last thought which is to say that this curry worked it's way through me quicker than it did from the kitchen to my table. Not a pleasant experience!

OK, the restaurant itself is somewhat dated and could do with new carpets, but if you look beyond that, the food is very tasty.

I've visited Radhuni a few times in the last couple of years and I'm the past have had a great meal but something has changed. Our meal took a long time to receive and when we eventually got it the meat was tough and the meal itself a disappointment. There was one particular member of staff who was rude and short with our group throughout the meal, however the manager and other staff were friendly and very helpful.

As a family we have visited Radhuni for years. We hadn't been in over a year so decided to go with friends. Unfortunately I think it has gone down hill and the food is not as good as it use to be.When it came to settling the bill we paid by card. The waiter went on and on (and on!) about why we weren't paying with cash. He mentioned it at least three times! Which was very irritating. Once we settled up we continued to finish our drinks. Two waiters kept stalking our table, wandering over and wandering away again. We took the hint and left....If you want to go somewhere to eat in Stowmarket....the River Bistro by the train station is great! Lovely food, great portions and friendly staff.

We have had takeaway from Radhuni before but ate in one Friday night, and it was excellent. The food was really good - the rice was a slightly more manageable portion than the takeaway portion, and service was very attentive! I found it quite chilly in the restaurant - but I do tend to feel the cold and it was mid-February ;) Excellent meal and remarkably good value.

I really wanted to rate this higher but in comparison to recent dining experiences that I have had elsewhere, unfortunately a 3 is all I could give.The staff were friendly enough and the food was good but it could have been better. Im sure it is common place for waiters and waitresses to check if everything is okay with the food partway through the meal, however we werent asked at all which I thought was a bit unusual. The chicken madras that I ordered had 5 bits of chicken in it. I couldn't believe it, im pretty sure that every time I have had a takeaway I have had more than 5 pieces of meat in a curry! It was tasty but I expected a bit more to be honest. The other dishes were nice and it was the best bombay potato dish that I have had in a long while but it just felt that the dishes could have been so much more.This is a lovely restaurant but I think I will stick to a takeaway next time as I know it will be better value for money.

Often enjoy a takeaway from the radhuni; the staff are all very polite and friendly, and the food is fantastic. On occasion, we have been given an incorrect order, so make sure you check they have the details correct, but apart from this the takeaway is first class.

Best curry house ever always used this place when lived in stowmarket and now even tho we live near bury we still use this place haven't been able to find a better curry house!! Food is the best and the staff are so welcoming and polite they treat you like you are important not just their living!! On collecting our curry we were even offered a complimentary drink which was so lovely! Defo be back my number 1 curry house xxx

Was really looking forward to a nice curry. In 2 of our curries the meat was really tough and chewy, which really made the curry disappointing, this was in both lamb and chicken curries. Nice rice and naans but the meat ruined the meal.

Waiters very polite food was absolutely lovely good service will definitely be going back here, great place to also have family meals on special occasion.

Took the family out for an early New Years Eve supper. The restaurant was warm, clean and comfortable, the service friendly and efficient. The food was excellent - couldn't fault a thing, and the price for the 5 of us was good value.

Food was awful, service from one particular waiter was sarcastic and rude. Waited nearly 45 minutes for food. When it arrived one dish was missing. When this was queried waiter thought the whole situation was funny and spent most of his time laughing at us. His colleague tried hard to redeem the situation as he clearly recognised his colleagues behaviour was unacceptable. When we asked for the bill the polite waiter did offer us a free drink as a form of compensation. By this time the damage had been done as the evening had been ruined. Unfortunately, the rude waiter continued to find the situation very funny and made no disguise of his amusement at our distress. If the food had been of a good standard it may have compensated the situation but unfortunately it wasn't!. The only reduction on the bill was for two drinks!A truly unpleasant experience all round.

After finishing work on Christmas Eve, we decided to order some food to be delivered, 3 different meals order, all arrived, however the quality of the food was very poor, the food lacked at actual flavour, cold, watery.I understand that it was a busy evening, but the quality was shocking.We have been using Radhuni for a number of years and have found the quality has gone down hill.The sunday buffet is good value just lacks flavour

Booked here for hubbys birthday. Service fantastic as always food served piping hot and very tasty. Very reasonably priced too! Was very quiet for a Saturday night, but probably due to a new restaurant opening in the town. Would def recommend a visit if you like Indian food and ambience.

Delivery order. accurate and delivered on time estimated, however my Goan fish curry had far too many bones in it- which spoiled the food- since this is a curry it is by its nature hard to see bones. Hopefully this was just bad luck. The other dishes were fine- perhaps a little too strongly coloured and light of proper seasoning, but it was all delivered hot.

I don't like reviewing restaurants/cafes normally as I know how much work goes into running something. There will always be a day when you are late producing something or an order is missed but, always had good food here whether we sit in or take away. They also recognise you and often give you a free drink which is appreciated. No moans here.

We are new to Stowmarket and we had heard mixed reviews about Radhuni but decide to try it out. I must say that we had 4 different curries and every one was delicious. It arrived within the time period and was very hot. We will be dining in next time. Well done.

Night out with friends on a Saturday rugby World Cup England game so well quiet. Food as nice as ever with good quality fresh food with offer of drink on the house at end. But service lacking a smile or any form of basic customer service. The place outside and in needs a major over haul.

Went on a Thursday night not for the buffet but eventually this is what we had. It was really good (hot as in heat not spice) but flavoured very well. 5 of us all had the buffet and you can chose anything from the menu with a couple of extras for certain things you go for the food and you wont be disappointed really tasty hot flavoursome food cooked while you wait good value for money good service well worth a visit

My friend and I decided we fancied a curry so went back to give this another try. Having been a year or so ago I hoped as they were still in business that they would have made some improvements, they hadn't. The service was very slow. The starters to be fair weren't bad, the main course however was some of the worst food ive eaten for a long time. The meat.... Lamb... Or flash fried mutton was so tough we gave up chewing it. The sauces, one garlic balti and one special chilli were incredibly flavourless, with the chilli dish reminding me of damp ready salted crisps. We are men, we would never leave meat, even ifIt hurt to keep eating, we would normally soldier on, but this really was inedible! There saving grace was a slight deduction on the bill, but would avoid like the plague unless you want to spend the night sicking the food back up!

order from this Indian restaurant today place order at 5.00 was told it will be 45 mins a hour and a half later still no order had to phone up to be told they have had some problems no apology nothing and when we received our order I couldn't believe it the placed the prawn cocktail in between the hot food will never order from there again they are so rude

I went here after reading reviews and wasn't expecting too much. The food was ok, I have had better and worse. My husband though who is a veggie had the dhal samba and it was more like veg curry he asked the waiter and he said he had the correct dish. The staff were very friendly. Not sure if I would go back but there didn't seem to be many Indians in the area.
