El Hotel es una pasada, muy bonito. Unas vistas increíbles y todo lo que le rodea es muy bonito.Cenamos genial y luego tienen el bar que está para tomarte algo y no cierra tan temprano como en casi todos los bares de Escocia

What a beautiful view of Skye from the terrace having a tea or more. Well worth the short ferry ride from Sconser and the easy uphill walk to this magnificent building.

Went over to Raasay for a tour of the Island with good friends, we toured around the South end and then stopped in at Raasay house for lunch. Lovely restaurant, the dog dishes looked as good as the humans. We chose the home made pork pie and the burger, both were delicious. Afterwards we toured some more of the island and made our way back to the house for coffee and cake which was also delicious. The views from here are lovely, be really nice to sit outside on a summers day. Very nice staff, would definitely visit again

What a beautiful place to stay overnight, wonderful dedicated staff and so beautiful rooms, food, destillery and staff so dedicated. I cannot wait to be back

I had the pulled pork. It was a very small portion and most of it was bread. The pulled porn was good but not much. Service was ok. Pretty place.

Très bonne table dans un château restauré avec vue sur mer. Plusieurs petites salles cosy. Plats recherchés et cocktails maison qui ravissent les clients qui ont fait la traversée.

Je recommande le flétan sauvage avec sa mousse et son accompagnement... un délice. Le restaurant situé l'intérieur de la distillerie a un petit côté un côté bout du monde tout comme l'ile de Raasay.

We had some extra time before a distillery tour and stopped here for lunch. I had the best tomato soup. The staff were quick with smiles and food was on time and very good. Take the extra time to walk around the hotel and grounds.

We were not staying at this hotel but the distillery hotel was not serving dinner on this evening. So we headed off to the Raasay House Hotel Restaurant & Bar. We had a lovely meal. The waitress was lovely. Very efficient and positive. We all enjoyed the meal and we headed for the bar. The bar staff were great fun and the bar lively. We had a great evening.

Ate dinner here 3 times while we stayed in the distillery. Fish and chips excellent so had it 2 nights in a row! Lovely friendly staff. Super views.

Our family of five found helpful staff, a limited menu but great food (a bit pricey maybe - £19 for fish and chips).. kids fish and chips at £4 was a bargain though ;). We went for a lovely walk beforehand up 'Temptation Hill' for a lovely view across to Skye. Walled Gardens at the hotel also worth a quick amble around. So easy to walk from the Ferry there and back.

We were a part of J&J’s wedding festivities and our experience was absolutely amazing. From our arrival on Monday until our departure on Sunday the service and culinary experiences were a delight. You even ordered sun for the wedding day! Thank you all so much for everything you did to make this week such a success.

Gammon Ham & Pickled Cucumber Sub herb & onion sub, Arran mustard butter & vegetable crisps 9.95 Broccoli & Seaweed Pesto Pasta (VG) tenderstem broccoli, chilli & sesame 12.95 the Gammon sub was worse than some motorway stop sandwich, it was just thrown together, the butter was really thick, so much so i had to open the sandwich and scrape it off, the filling was just as poor, hardly anything inside, it made me think that perhaps one of the waiters had made it, the sides were a poor also, 1/2 a handful of crisp, certainly nowhere near worth £9.95, at most £5.00 and that's being generous the pasta was equally disappointing, the small portion barely covered the bottom of the plate, odd sweet taste, almost like some cheap sweet chili sauce had been thrown in, there was little choice to be had, most of the menus wasn't available because they had run out, strange as it was 1pm mid week, it all seemed thrown together and with no effort, everything arrived 5 mins after we ordered, so i guess it was all pre made

We were lucky enough to eat at Raasay House on several occasions, both for evening meals and tea & cake. The food was excellent. The service was welcoming and friendly. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We look forward to our return visit next year.

We went on a day trip to Raasay, which was quite rural with limited places to eat. However, we were aware of this and had already decided to try the dining and bar area. We only wanted something light, with us choosing the filled baguettes. Whilst some of the filings were not exactly what we wanted, the staff were very accommodating and prepared them to what we wanted. Nice relaxing atmosphere and great view looking out across the lawn and water.

We were staying at the Raasay Distillery and enjoyed our dinner at Raasay House Hotel. The welcome was good, service fast, friendly, informed and efficient. We had starters of Haggis Bon Bon and Sweetcorn Fritter. Then Sirloin Steak with chips and a nice sauce. Very good and very satisfied. The distillery should supply their residents with torches since in hours of darkness there is not a lot of light!

We stayed at the distillery and was told this was the only place to serve evening meals, so quickly booked ourselves in. I ordered the Clam and Mussel Linguines, which arrived clam-less. I wasn't made aware when it arrived but when i asked i was told he would check, and they didnt have any. Not an issue, but it would have been nice to be made aware of this. My partner ordered the venison, which was very tendy and tasty, but it just looked over-cooked, and for £30 i was just expecting a little more.

We stayed at the distillery and as they don't do evening meals we had 3 dinners at Raasay House. Extremely attentive staff (some even local!!) - good food (loved the scallops and also the fishcakes). Several different restaurant rooms with fabulous floor to wall windows. Whilst it was the only place to have dinner it was hardly a hardship! We also had a couple of lunches (highly recommend the flan) . We loved our 4 days on Raasay and are already planning to come back next year!

Absolutely taken aback with the friendly ness of the people here, the atmosphere is one of homeliness and family, everyone we came into contact with was extremely nice, the food was great and especially the hand dived scallops. So rare to have non dredged scallops, thanks to the young man who enthusiastically told us about the hand diving. 100% recommended to all. This is a community owned non profit organisation and should be an example to others of how to organise a business that clearly holds the community together and benefits all on the island! Slainte!

Community run to save from closure, so not an easy task. Food was good, but not great. Service very nice through troubled Covid times. Stunning views from the dining room.

Excellent food, reasonably priced in a superb surroundings. What's not to like? Shame it's so far from where we live for repeated visits!!

Whilst staying at Raasay Distillery, we had dinner both nights at the restaurant. The staff were excellent and knowledgeable, but sadly we have forgotten their names. Nothing was any problem and they ensured that everything was perfect.The food was excellent on both nights, so compliments to the chef.

Firstly let me say the staff and service were excellent, extremely helpful and friendly.However we had checked the vegetarian menu on their website prior to arriving on the island and it listed 4 starters and 5 main dishes. On arrival we asked for the vegetarian menu only to be told there was only 1 starter (soup) and 0 main dishes available, very disappointing. Asked if the chef could come up with a vegetarian option and was told that that wasn't possible, even more disappointing.I realise that it was March and out of season but it doesn't say much for their chef that they couldn't even rustle up a simple pasta dish with some tomato sauce.The food we did end up with was gleaned from some of the side dishes and was basic but ok and as I said above the waiting staff were great, very apologetic and tried to accommodate us as best they could.

Fortunately we had booked the evening meal as the restaurant was very busy. The service was outstanding and there was a good range of courses on offer. What we had was first class and when we are next back on the island we will return to this restaurant.

Wish I had caught the person that served us name, what a total breath of fresh air. Brilliant attentive service and a great, sense of humour. Don't lose that guy! Food was fantastic from starters to mains, I would definitely recommend!

The children's meals were healthy and generous. Vegetarian meals were available. My husband said his fish was delicious.

Enjoyed a tea and apple cake with friends! Very nice afternoon spot and beautiful hotel! Pretty grounds and nice hiking nearby.

We were a family of 4 on holiday and the meal at Raasay House was one of the highlights of our trip. We shared the haggis and ham hough starters and then had venison pie and sirloin steak, all of which were top notch. Friendly waiting staff and good puddings too.

I appreciate the quality of the food but the level of service was nearly sufficient. Good fresh local fish and good lamb

Peu d’endroit où manger sur l’île pour ainsi dire pas d’endroit, cette adresse qui seule propose des assiettes qui semblent êtres un bon présage que ce soit par l’endroit et les photos sur TripAdvosir où la beauté de la bâtisse, nous a déçu en bon nombres de points :

Le plat de viande est très cher . Rien n est très original . Peu se choix . Très déçue. Pourquoi faire des beignets d ecrevisse? Et Tjs des frittes.....

We enjoyed a nice lunch yesterday. Menu consists of soup, flatbreads, salads, and a few other options such as fish and chips. We enjoyed the steak baguette, haggis flatbread and ham & cheese flatbread which came with a basic salad and crisps. Good value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. All came with a beautiful sea view.

We stopped in here after the distillery tour. My wife and I split a ceasar salad and a flatbread pizza. Both were delicious, and the view from the dining area is fantastic. Great place to go after the distlkery tour.

The food was very good and the wait staff were young and fun. There was a screaming child at the table next to us which affected our enjoyment but they couldn’t control that.

An interesting day menu though, compared to the evening menu, limited. An island delight. Cullen Skink, a meal in itself, followed by a gigantic haddock and chips. A truly wonderful lemon cake. Helpful staff. Very reasonable prices. Worth taking the ferry for.

Considering it's possibly the only food option on the island, it was a good meal at a reasonable price.

The food was excellent, the service prompt and efficient. Fish and chips were delicious and a generous portion; the speciality 'cuillin skink' also mouthwateringly good. The staff were particularly friendly and welcoming.

Whilst staying at Raasay House we decided to have a meal there. The restaurant was full but they were able to accommodate us in the bar and we had an enjoyable time.

Came here for lunch whilst waiting for the Distillery tour. Cullen skink ( haddock and potato soup) was fantastic and ridiculously tasty. My haggis toastie was really nice - an unusual use if haggis but worked really well. Staff very friendly and were able to recommend a short walk around the back of the hotel and 30 yards up the hill is a 2000 yr old Pictish stone on RHS of road as you head up the hill.

As the title states, it up amazingly. We were staying at the distilery just a few minutes walk away and had booked for dinner (a must if you dont want to wait) was such a nice atmosphere in a dinning room with fire and candles and music playing. There are only a small number of tables in the restraunt but still 2 memebers of staff on when full which is a credit to the managment (worked places that service staff would be left on their own for this). We ordered the bread and olives to share and soup and brie for starters which we had to stop eating because the portions were huge and we wanted to save room for mains! Just as our mains came out the fire alarm went off which was disappointing but no ones fault. This was handled very well by the staff who quickly made sure we wernt standing in the wet by taking us to another building and providing us all with big woolen blankets even though we only ended up being there for 10 mins. As soon as we were allowed to go back in we got offered complimentary drinks and our mains were remade. The burger was well worth the wait! We were so full we just shared some ice cream to finish. The whole meal was very reasonably priced esspecially considering the side of portions and quality of food. Credit to Gabriel and the other woman serving (never got her name) for our lovely evening.

Menu a little limited but excellent high quality produce and ample portions awaits the hungry traveller. Beautifully renovated building with outstanding views. Whilst this is the only place to eat on Raasay they do not take advantage of this fact and offer appropriate food all day long in the Bistro, Bar and Restaurant.

We stopped in at Raasay House for lunch following a tour of the distillery. It was a grey and drizzly day, but we were cheered up by the generous platefuls of food we were served. Toasted flatbreads with cheese and ham, and halloumi and sundried tomatoes, were accompanied by crisp, fresh salad, and we ordered a huge bowl of chunky hand-cut chips which were perfectly seasoned. Everything was piping hot and had clearly been cooked to order. The lunch menu isn’t particularly extensive, but there’s a decent choice for vegetarians and the prices are very reasonable.

Staff are excellent. Definitely a credit to you. The food choice was great and when it arrived was excellent. We were both very content and full.

We went here for dinner 2 nights in a row and it was great. Staff were lovely, portions were huge and a great selection of drinks at the bar. We will definitely be back

Staying at the distillery and came down to Raasay House for dinner. Fully accessible for my powered wheelchair (which was welcome). Food was excellent pub food style in generous portions. Wine by the glass available. Very knowledgeable staff who were really helpful.

We ate here both nights that we stayed in Raasay and lo vved it! The staff were professional and helpful, the food was perfect!we tried some Scottish delicacies like black pudding, venison, a dessert and drinks (cant remember the names- so helpful haha) either way it was all so nice! The views from our table were just as divine!

Ha prenotato per noi la vicina distilleria dove soggiornavamo e visto che non vi erano alternative siamo arrivati senza grandi aspettative.. in realtà è stato tutto perfetto dalla cura dei dettagli, all’ambiente con vista sul mare, al cibo. Ottimi piatti da gustare in completo relax ad un costo giusto veramente una bella serata che ha completato questa bella tappa all’isola di Raasay. Maila

Ho portato 15 persone a cenare alla Raasay House e ci siamo trovati tutti molto bene, a partire dal servizio offerto dal cameriere, che molto garbatamente ci ha spiegato la storia di questa splendida villa. Consiglio l’antipasto di ostriche, molto buono anche il cullen skink e ottima pure la selvaggina

We were staying on Rassay in a nice remote spot and decided to have a meal out, as a treat / break from cooking. We ate in the bistro and it was lovely. Food was really nice (son's had burgers, we have a Thai Curry, and fish and chips). The views were stunning but what really made it was the staff, really helpful and friendly. It was very reasonably priced as well, a great night out.

Ate here 3 times over two days, you are limited on Raasay, I think this is the only place to have an evening meal. But don't worry the food was excellent as was the servive, I'd be happy to return.

Unico ristorante sull’isola, se si vuole nella sala accanto un bistro’ piu’ veloce. “chowder”locale squisito come anche il pesce proposto.

The service was very friendly and the food was good. They have few items which could be improved such as a list of the available whiskies and a list of the gluten-free options. Our waiters were happy to give us the information but we are not always sure their memories were accurate (more important for the gluten-free then the whisky.)

Enjoyed a huge plate of haddock and chips at Raasay House, with haggis fritters as a starter. The fish was delicious, with a light crispy batter. A complete selection of Isle of Skye Brewery beers are available, I went for Blaven, which was superb.

We went there for lunch, and it was inedible. Really one of the worst meals I've ever had.

Staff was friendly and helpful except the hostess has a bad attitude. Food was fair at best and over priced for what is offered.

Lovely cup of tea and yummy cakes after our climb up Dun Caan- certainly worth stopping for before the ferry trip.

Me and my wife stayed here on our trip around the Highlands. Staff and service were very good, the room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Views were absolutely stunning and the island itself is beautiful. Definite recommendation ;)

I've just had one of the best venison in my life. It was absolutely out of this world. My husband has a steak, apparently delicious as well.

All Interno dell'omonimo hotel ci sono tre differenti locali: area relax con pub, dove bere ottima birra alla spina, whisky scozzese e gin, il bistrot, locale molto alla mano dove mangiare qualcosa alla buona, hamburger, fish & chips e cosucce simile, infine il ristorante, pochi piatti di ottimo livello, ben prestati. Il servizio sempre attento, non velocissimo, ma molto professionale. Tavoli grandi e comodi.

We spent one night at Raasay House and felt very welcome. The people working there was friendly and helpful, and the rom was nice. Unfortunately the food at the bistro was dissapointing. We waited 40 minutes for our food and the people who arrived almost 20 minutes after us got served before us. The waitresses had no controll over the orders.

Personale cordiale, cibo molto buono (ottimo l'haddoch!), atmosfera easy, non saprei cosa volere di più. Sosta consigliata.

The Isle of Ramsay is a lovely island to visit, Raasay House is the only place to eat apart from the shop in the nearest village.

Dropped in after booking into b&b.; Excellent meal though a bit expensive to be honest,but excellent as said. Nice setting and to be honest it's the only place to eat out on the island.

We stayed at this House for 3 nights. A most enjoyable stay.

Lekker gegeten, verfijnde keuken maar zeer duur. Mossels zijn lekker en vlezig. Wijnen duur maar lekker. Bediening is zeer vriendelijk en gedienstig.

There was not much choice to eat from on the lunch menu. The evening menu seemed like what they should have been serving at lunch. I ordered a full sized meal of Cullen Skink. It seemed the chef just dumped a huge container of double cream in it to extend it. It had the flavour and consistency of double cream too. My husband had a very good haddock and chips. The bread I was served seemed store bought and not fresh. Was not impressed with the taste of the cappuccinos served either. £40 for lunch seems a bit on the pricey side. It was our first and last visit to the island. Seems a really boring, god forsaken place to visit.

I've eaten here twice now and the food has been exceptional every time. You just have to try the haggis fritters.

Our daughter booked it for us as a gift - and it was just right! The room was very comfortable and there was a choice of places to relax, including a very modern cafe or a bar (with pool table) or library with original floor...

We went for lunch on our recent trip to Raasay. The food was amazing - the best we have ever had there and we have eaten there on many occasions in the past. Would recommend the burger, fish & chips, venison casserole. My daughter also loved her sausages and mash! We had tea and cakes to finish - all fantastic. Service was good so no complaints. Well worth a visit if you make the trip to Raasay.

Just stopped for coffee and a bun before exploring Raasay. Great view across the bay to Skye. Nice coffee friendly service. Didn't see any flying pigs on Raasay except the road sign.

Felicitaciones al chef, la comida era excelente. El desayuno era variado y delicioso, el menú de la cena era amplia, con una buena selección de platos escoceses, pero muy bien hechos y las verduras estaban hechos a la perfección.

I recently wrote a review about Raasay Hotel and mentioned that Raasay House restaurant ensured that we were extremely satisfied about our choice to stay there.There should be really good chef working in the kitchen; everything we ordered for our dinner was really tasty and quality of the food was excellent. Do not exactly remember the price we paid, though it was a good value for sure (every single portion was not too big in size, allowing to enjoy everything we had ordered).I have to emphasize the professionalism of the waiting staff - attention to detail when service is needed but in the same time not annoying with too many questions (I assume that also comes from the character of people lining on the island) - appreciate that!Just to mention that breakfast, although included in the room price, exceeded our expectations. Well done!

It was a real treat to stay in the wonderfully refurbished Raasay House. The view over to the snow dusted hills of Skye, the friendliness of all the staff, the beautiful wild flower ceramics, the tasteful decor, the comfort of the Library, the excellent breakfast! What more could you ask for. We really enjoyed it and would thoroughly recommend a stay - thanks!

We ate there on a Tuesday evening in March, which was Pool and Burger Night. In addition to the main menu, several burger options were also available. The venison burger was delicious - lots of it and really tasty. The chips are excellent too. Staff are ultra efficient and very freindly. Breakfasts are also superb - lots to choose from and enough to keep you going all day. Highly recommended!

The food is brilliant. I wish we had more places like this where I live. Whole hearty, tasty and plentiful food. Made the rookie mistake of going 3 course meal the first night to struggle on the 2nd course. That was okay. We requested to have desert when our bellies could handle more. The cost of the food is on par with other Island food prices.ThanksAdz & Laney
