Had we not been recommended this restaurant, we would have walked passed it; I'm so glad we didn't. It's been referred to as the hidden gem in Plymouth and that is so true. The chef Dave is exceptional, his dishes change regularly each dish, from what we have been told, is memorable. Our meals for the evening, were duck and salmon, followed with bread pudding and pistachio icecream, all so delicious. Cocktails were spot on and the red wine was the perfect choice with my duck. The cost was very reasonable and we would definitely revisit on our return to Plymouth.

Excellent food and extremely personable friendly service. The dishes are served as small plates, ideal for tasting different flavours and sharing amongst the table! Would highly recommend, as this standard of food is rare in Plymouth

Had a lovely evening out at Quince with girlfriends on a Thursday evening. We were greeted warmly by a member of staff as we entered and shown to our table. Lovely waitress served us for the evening, explaining how things worked ordering the food, the wine list, where the toilets were ect. The restaurant offers a selection of 'small plates' with a good selection to choose from. We very much enjoyed or evening, cant comment on the atmosphere as we were the only ones in there on a rainy February evening, but would highly recommend Great evening!

We would like to say our waitress Kez was absolutely fantastic. She was the only person on and worked so hard to keep all the tables happy. We could not fault her at all. Sadly though due to understaffing it was almost an hour before got our starter of 5 chicken wings to share, which unfortunately conpletely lacked any flavour. The lack of flavour was a disappointing theme for the evening. The dishes were presented beautifully and cooked to perfection however there was little to no seasoning. The cod with parsley sauce was the most flavoursome dish, just very watery. The potato rosti was incredibly greasy which made us feel a little sick. The duck was cooked perfectly but again the "plum sauce" tasted of very little. The same with the scallops. Again, our experience with Kez was fantastic, but for the price sadly we wouldn't return in a hurry.

A hidden gem. Plymouth actually has many excellent independent places to eat out and this is a great addition. I never thought I'd have my mind blown by breaded chicken but the croquettes are unforgettable. Also had the cod (with a seaweed butter and mussel sauce👌🏾), the chicken, the flatbread and the duck - all cooked beautifully from local ingredients. The wine selection is small but to be honest, really bloody good. Kes was the only host on (quiet night) and she kept both wine and banter flowing. Excited to see what else they come up with in the future.

An absolute diamond in the rough! Me and my partner have been meaning to try Quince for a while, he'd seen their posts on Instagram and wanted to give them a try but busy lives meant we hadn't been able to come until now, and we are so glad we did! The food was divine. Our favourite part was that for what we spent, we were able to try a lot of different dishes and flavours without committing to a massive portion. The tapas style of dishes works on a free flow basis, where dishes come out as they're ready, and this works incredibly well! The portion sizes aren't too big but are enough to share if you get a few. We ordered a lot as we were very keen to try the menu, and our favourites were the sourdough, the sprouts and the roast chicken. In particular the flavours on the roasted sprouts was spectacular. Kez served us and she was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly friendly, witty and very personable. We enjoyed chatting with her and she recommended some dishes on the menu and educated us on portion sizes which was lovely. She really did elevate the experience, and we really loved her character, thank you! To summarise, Quince is criminally underrated! We will definitely be coming back and will be introducing some friends and colleagues. Thank you, and see you soon!

The food is always very good and high quality. Especially the panna cotta, which is exceptional. My only qualm is the delivery time, which is often late and means the food sometimes needs reheating by the time it reaches me. I don’t believe the restaurant is at fault for this, but it’s a wider issue with JustEat drivers.

The food was gorgeous and a little bit different. Service was excellent. My husband and I were only saddened by the fact that we were the only ones in the restaurant on a Saturday evening of payday weekend! Spread the word & support independent restaurants to keep them open. The chains are always going to be there.

What an absolute Gem of a place. The food is second to none and the service is exemplary. We went for the Vessel collaboration taster menu and the lamb in particular was out of this world. Cannot wait to see what these guys do next. Fabulous atmosphere, great wine list, banging food......cannot wait to go back

A group of 14 of us had a fabulous meal at Quince last night. The food was exceptional, every dish I tried (and I naturally made sure I tried everyone else's!) was exquisite. The golden syrup butter served with the sourdough had me hooked right from the first nibble. We were the only table in, so the atmosphere was a teeny bit lacking, but as soon as more people know how fantastic it is, I have no doubt it will be buzzing. All in all, I highly recommend. Just wonderful.

Food was ok for an average Sunday roast but the price was astronomically high and definitely not worth the price....at £27 odd pound including a small pot of boiled potatoes that had been roasted?..... I would say compared to other well established grub outlets was worth no more than around £14 pounds!....well I'd thought I'd give this new outlet a go but sadly there are other far better competitors out there that give better value for your money....so shan't be ordering from here again unless they review there prices!!!

Great to find a new local restaurant that absolutely nails it. All of our plates were great but very highly recommend the lamb dish. Absolutely beautiful 🤩. The wine was great too. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Very tasty dinner with interesting wine to choose from. Service was a little slow but they were very friendly. I think 3 dishes per person is about right. We were able to share between 4 of us.

Went for dinner last night and it was amazing! Definitely my new favourite restaurant in Plymouth. They had a well thought out menu and wine list. We had 5 dishes between two which was the perfect amount plus a dessert. All the dishes were delicious, including the crispy squid special. The price was very reasonable considering the eye for detail, high quality of the food and the overall experience. Have paid much more in some restaurants in Plymouth for a far less enjoyable experience

This was an amazing meal and a wonderful experience. The menu is made up of many small dishes that are perfect for sharing if you want to try a lot of different things. Each and every dish the I tried was incredible. The service was great and the lady serving us was really nice and never failed to ask if was wanted anything else (drinks etc). It's quite difficult to find nice food in Plymouth so this was a really nice surprise so will definitely be going back there. Can't recommend Quince enough to be honest.

The service is friendly. The presentation, variety, and taste of the food is great. Even though it's presented in a gourmet style way, 2-3 dishes were more than filling. Also a good place if you have an artistic eye as a connoisseur's tongue. As the paintings are interesting to look at too.

Dined in tonight and was immensely impressed! We’re such foodies and booked as soon as we found out about this place on Plymouth Live. There were 4 of us and it allowed us to order a few dishes each and all have a bit of each others - really up our street having fancy food but lots of it so we can all share! The waitress was so so friendly and just made our experience better. Will definitely be returning. We didn’t have the roast but saw other diners did and that looked a treat 😍 Thankyou team Quince. What a fab addition to the city!

We came here tonight for my mums birthday. The food was impeccable, and the staff so accommodating. We started as a table of 4 and ended as a 7, and it never felt a problem. Although a quiet night, food came out slowly however we never felt as though we were made to wait and when it arrived it was more than worth it. You can clearly see and taste the care that went into each plate. It’s lovely to see Plymouth with another independent restaurant, with so much love and passion behind it.

Having regularly adventured to the food spots in the market, tea & bun have been by far my favourite! Fresh tasting food with wonderful flavours, all at good prices with great service to match. I particularly recommend the karage as it’ll beat any sort of fried chicken you’ve ever had.

Not quite the cool bar it seeks to be. Very dark (almost zero lighting). Terrible service, however they did have easily the best top shelf spirits in Plymouth

I took it away as there was only a bar to sit at. However this is genuinely the best American style wings/loaded fries I’ve ever had. Unreal I had the buffalo wings (9) Chicken siracha loaded fries. Honestly the best food I’ve had in a long time the wings were full of flavour And the loaded fries were perfect with a great combination of tender chicken pieces pickles sauce etc. I’ll recommend to anyone looking for an American style scran. Good effort!!
