If you go on a Wednesday , they have a fixed price menu which is very good value...they don't have a drinks licence, but they are happy to let you bring your own alcohol...it's located right in the middle of boscombe... Most importantly, this is not your average Indian ...the food is outstanding...great choices ...go there you will not be disappointed...

Mid week buffet on Weds £13.99 pp is excellent. Take your own Alcohol. No license to sell. Food was amazing and already booked again for before our holiday ends.

Had a very nice meal. I had chicken shishlak which was a bit spicier than I'd have liked but they gave me red onions instead of white which I prefer.. an added bonus is that you can take your own alcohol

We have been searching for a good Indian since moving to the area, and we have finally found it. Very authentic each curry tasted different and super tasty. Great service so friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself feels very classy yet comfortable. We will be eating here regularly!

Well started off a good evening and then they put the music up so loud you couldn't hear yourself and chat. I asked the music to be turned down twice but I got told a group wanted the music loud so had no respect for the other diners. I told the waiter if I wanted to go to a nightclub I would pay to do so. It seems that they don't value the regular customers. Also the new waitress, well such an attitude. She should not be employed in the hospitality industry. I can honestly say that this was probably the last time I would visit this restaurant. They don't respect the regulars only a one off group who wants the music loud. The joke is that every time they asked for it to be turned up they went outside for a cigarette. If you want to eat and not speak to one another then this is the place for you

Pleasant service and tasty food. The restaurant was understandably busy but we were comfortable and the wait staff were very attentive and welcoming. Food was a little spicier than expected for mild/medium but that's just personal preference. Would visit again, if in the area.

The best Indian food, perfectly spiced, lovely tender meat. Never had a bad meal there. Being able to take our own alcohol is a huge bonus and means that we can afford to eat out at the Queen Mumtaz more often!

A group of us went for a birthday dinner on a Friday evening. On arrival we were greeted warmly and taken to our table. The restaurant was very busy with a good atmosphere. The food came out, quickly, hot and delicious. We all had a great night and agreed that we have found our new curry house. see you soon.

Hello, I had the opportunity to spend my 40th birthday at Queen Mumtaz with friends. The way we were served exceeded my wildest expectations, even though it was a Saturday and the restaurant was full of customers. The service was very nice and always helpful, the food was delicious, everything was delicious, it melted in my mouth. I could write and write. We will definitely come back there again and again. My friends too. I recommend this place with all my heart, once you go there you will want to come back.

The food is great, the only problem is they have crammed so many tables it’s extremely noisy, we could barely hear each other talk and the staff paid more attention to the bigger tables (more money)

Disappointing, however we didn't realise it was buffet only on Sunday. We asked for a quiet table but we were not in a quiet area so found it difficult to talk. As I'm pescetarian, I was also disappointed that there were no fish or prawn curry dishes and had to dine mainly on vegetarian starters. I will update my review once I have tried dishes from the main menu on a quieter occasion as the menu looks good.

We went on a Sunday for their buffet. The food was absolutely amazing. A large selection of different dishes and sides. I would highly recommend the kara lamb and the chicken dansak. Great service, friendly staff and amazing value.

Amazing food and such good service. We came in late but the staff were super friendly and made sure we did not feel rushed. We tried one of their tandoor starters which was the moistest chicken I have ever had in an Indian restaurant. The curries were great, and there was a good selection of classics and less common dishes to choose from.

Absolutely beautiful, we went this evening the staff are so friendly and polite, the food was so delicious couldn't fault any of it you can take your own alcohol which is a massive plus as the meal only came to £77 for 5 of us with starters etc such a bargain for really good food! 👌👌👌

My advice is make sure book ahead!! 6 of us went for dinner at The Queen Mumtaz and it was rave reviews for every dish. The atmosphere was great and there were no empty tables. The staff here really are part of the experience and look after every table with care and enthusiasm. Bringing your own booze really helps bring the price down, and the whole experience is superb value. Our friends were very impressed and are already looking forward to returning.

The best local Indian restaurant! I am a regular customer that goes to Queen Mumtaz. The food is always delicious I've never had a bad meal, the portion sizes are also good. The staff are friendly, polite and so accommodating. I love the fact you can take your own alcohol too. Its a great restaurant to go too if you have a big party too as its very spacious. I can't recommend Mumtaz enough! Thankyou too Hosan and the Team.

Piping hot food, beautifully prepared dishes, didn't realise you had to bring your own booze but hey ho, all was good.

After discovering that this restaurant is owned by the same family that run the Balti House we decided to give it a go. Can only say - SUPERB! Lovely food and extremely friendly and professional staff. The restaurant has been refurbished to a high standard and there is nothing to fault. Thank for a lovely meal and such attentive staff. Prices are great as well.

What a great find in the heart of Boscombe. Lovely team, and the food is tasty. Great prices, and Wednesday is banquet night at an affordable set price. It's bring your own drinks, which initially can feel odd, but it's a relaxed atmosphere so it's not a concern. Would definitely return.

Discovered this gem of a restaurant yesterday. Six of us went for dinner last night. Best Indian food I have had for years. Tandoori salmon was perfectly spiced and cooked. Chicken shashlik was excellent. Our group also had the prawn jalfrezi, lamb biryani, and prawn shaslik. All the dishes were excellent. The service was also superb. And the price reasonable. Well done to the team at the Queen Mumtaz. Your food and service are the best.

Unusually for us we went on Sunday evening and, unlike the Balti House, (sister restaurant) the "banquet" was buffet-style. By 2000 hrs this was rather tired looking, with several items depleted (poppadoms, onion bajee, spinach, some naans etc). The actual curries (chicken korma, madras, tikka masala, jalfrezi, and lamb) and spicy chickpeas were delicious.

Food was exceptional, host and staff excellent couldn't of asked or expected more the host so passionate about the heritage and quality of food and staff were so nice and helpful. To top it off the food was one of the best I've tasted quality and standard is in abundance here I recommend to anyone who is looking for clean high quality passionate BIR will definitely be coming back I recommend the hundi gosht

I ordered a takeaway and I really don’t want to leave a bad review as have had 2 good ones in the past. But tonight they didn’t live up to expectations. Ordered a chicken tikka jalfrezi and the chicken wasn’t tikka chicken. Also there was no capsicum and very little onion. Very bland and average! The garlic naan very greasy and cold. I was only having a little chat to the owner when picking up and he was asked why they don’t do delivery. His response was they want to concentrate on quality. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case tonight. It’s a real shame as now might find another takeaway after our favourite one closed due to retirement. Also very concerned after later reading on the Echo website that you received a 1 star out of 5 hygiene rating in June. We won’t be returning.
