Really great place, very good food! Our waiter Divya was amazing! Very nice, attentive and approachable! We ordered the Mazzeh Platter, the Peshawari Naan, the Darbani Paneer Karahi, the Prawn Hyderabadi Biryani and really the food was great! For dessert, the Figs and Cinnamon and the Jalebi ice creams were two very good finishers! Docked one star on the atmosphere because the music for the restaurant seems to be a bit loud, but not to an unbearable level.

The food is amazing and decor is beautiful, service is a bit slow.

Beautiful venue, a must visit for the environment alone! Lovely cutlery and fabric napkins with a very wealthy vibe to the whole get up. Staff were kind and prompt, food was brilliant and served fast! We tried the Koobideh and Badshahi, the Koobideh from the charcoal grill tasting succulent and well portioned The Badshahi was creamy with good amount of pieces and delicious marinade. Dips and salads tasted great and presentation was very nice. Great selection of wines and cocktails and non-alcoholic counterparts - marks down for prices here as all drinks are around the 7 pound mark with a distinct different in ml amounts, but the drinks themselves were very good. Good facilities and a clean well presented bathroom with soaps and cream, weak hand dryer that did leave hands wet but overall a nice experience. Would be nice to compliment meal with mints or hot towels/wipes to pair with the regal feel of the venue, overall a nice experience coming to about 30 pounds per head. Would recommend for a date night but maybe a little under-accommodating of table sizes for bigger groups - plenty of seating all around however with an elegant bar.

I have been here a few years ago, and decided to come again recently. Instead of the dim intimate atmosphere with violinist playing in the restaurant I was created by brighter lighting, loud club music and surrounded by many drunk customers. Despite the difference over the years, the food was still as lovely as I can remember, mocktails were divine, and service was pleasant. I don’t think I would return back. However still worth a first visit.

We were a group of 6 and had the 6 course taster meal. A mix of veggie and meat and a few swaps for dietary requirements. Sooooo much food and it was spectacular. And when the main course turned up it was flipping huge!! The staff were lovely, very very friendly and attentive and made us feel extremely welcome. The cocktails were yummy too although had to slow down drinking to try and fit food in. Thank you for a great evening

Had afternoon tea which was nothing special, maybe I’m just not an afternoon tea person my wife seemed to enjoy it though. Ordered some food as well, the lamb kubideh was not good at all had some odd, chemical aftertaste. The badshahi coriander chilli chicken was green and mildly spicy, not that tasty though. Service was great. Would not return here.

Umera’s service was prompt without feeling rushed, and she consistently checked in to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Her professionalism and positive attitude were a standout, making our meal even more enjoyable.

This place is just perfect, a bit overpriced but it’s the experience you pay for. Also, would recommend booking via First table to get 50% off of your meal(applicable for 2 or 4 guests only). If you are driving there, nearest parking is cine world.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and it didn't disappoint! The interior and decorations are so beautiful, definitely stands out from most of the restaurants. Our waiter Atul was great, very helpful with suggestions and never made us wait too long- amazing service! The food was very tasty and you could tell that the ingredients were high quality! We also got a little surprise for our anniversary which was very touching and made our day even more special ! Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

Nice decor, food ok not amazing, very small portions and overpriced. The Miracle of Madana non-alcoholic cocktail was very good.

My husband and I booked with First Table and took advantage of the 50% offer by having the tasting menu! Portions were generous and everything was delicious. Our server Rajesh was very friendly, professional and attentive. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere. I would definitely recommend to friends!

I came in today with my mom, who had booked us in for the Afternoon Tea, and it absolutely did not disappoint. We were greeted by friendly staff once we had walked in, and were promptly shown to our table, which was absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere is intimate and cosy, and the decor is absolutely phenomenal; furthermore, our waiter, Rajesh, was so lovely and accommodating throughout the entire experience. He was efficient, friendly, and he takes great pictures! 🤣 As for the food and tea served, it was nothing short of delicious. Everything was served beautifully, and everything tasted incredible; each flavour was distinct and cohesive, and all of the food tasted fresh. This, paired with the atmosphere and excellent customer service, made for a memorable night out. I would highly recommend Qavali to anyone!

Incredible cuisine, atmosphere and customer service by Salma and the manager! My sister and I enjoyed pre-dinner cocktails (the coolest menu we’ve ever seen ) at their stylish bar area, followed by an intimate booth seating space in the main restaurant. We both opted for Lamb - cutlets and Persian curry, which was absolutely delicious and so full of exotic flavours. What made it so special was that my sister got a surprise Birthday cocktail and Baklava courtesy of the manager, which made her night! This was my second visit; I will be sure to come again with other friends. A perfect girls night out in Birmingham!

Visited this with a group of friends on a Tuesday evening. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. All the meals were quite expensive but there was plenty and food tasted freshly prepared.

Went here for the afternoon tea. It was below par to be honest. We only got 2 sandwiches each and a tiny canapé for the savoury part, all of which were slightly stale. The sweets were okay, not to my taste but that’s personal. Some of the sweets tasted cheap. The scones and clotted cream were also below par. The clotted cream was a very odd scrambled egg texture and again the scones tasted cheap (Im not against store brought but I do expect them to purchase nice quality). Had to ask for our tea as it was nowhere to be found and when it did arrive we got a cup each not a pot which is the norm. The tea also didn’t taste of much. There seemed to be plenty of staff but no one checked in to see if the food was okay or just generally check in. The cocktail was nice and the venue is very pretty but the afternoon tea was very disappointing especially as it’s more on the expensive side for afternoon tea.

We celebrated our 1st anniversary at Quavali and Salma made it very special for us. Great atmosphere & we enjoyed the experience and ambiance! Thank you

Came here for my dad’s 60th! Firstly I asked for the allergen menu, I had a milk allergy! And your allergen menu said everything had milk in it! The server was confused with the allergen he had to check which dishes they had milk in it! I think you should update it, food was ok, me I hardly couldn’t eat anything! Only two dishes and tandoori roti the roti was so bland!!! Keema gosht was soo bland needed more seasoning! And the chapel was ok! 👍 mocktails was very good!! Receptionist was very lovely ☺️ when they bought the cake out no server sang! Bit awkward no vibes in qavali!!! No personality with waiters!and our bill was so expensive didn’t want to pay service charge! I would not come back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! Tammy tanga and dishoom were way better and they waiters and waitresses had personality! And vibes 🤣🙌

Amazing experience at Qavali yesterday. Mixed grill was great and the mocktails are some of the best we’ve had. However, the best part of the evening was the service provided by Viraj, who was exceptional throughout and really took care of us- this alone has made us want to come back!

Came for my sister's birthday with no reservation and barely 15 mins to closng but we were welcomed graciously and never rushed even once. Even got a comp dessert and mocktail for the birthday girl. Food was excellent and generous in portion. Rajesh, our host for the evening was super attentive! Highly recommended.

They should ditch their tasting menu. 5 courses of slop, no substance. What a waste of money. Just get food a la carte if you eat here. Nice atmosphere.

I found something in my drink, and although they replaced it, the overall quality didn't meet my expectations for authentic Iranian cuisine. The rice wasn't cooked like traditional Iranian rice, and the chicken kebab didn't taste like the real thing. On the bright side, the restaurant has a prime location, and the music played is lovely and soothing. However, the price doesn't match the quality of the food. With the amount charged, they should offer higher-quality dishes. As someone who enjoys dining out, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

We got there slightly early and got seated right away! Our waiter Rajesh was amazing, really took care of us. We chose his recommendations and wow they were so yummy, kasuri methi lamb, sultani chaat, and the grill kebab. We also got complimentary drinks and baklava due to celebrating our anniversary which was such an amazing touch to the evening. Oh the fig and cinnamon icecream and Jalebi icecream were different but defo our faves. Well worth the money! We will be back for sure. Thank you for the great food and service. Give Rajesh a bonus, that man works hard!
