Can't complain as food was great, losses a star as they kept on coming up encouraging to order more food and drinks when we were already eating and drinking

This is one of my favourite places. I go there a lot with my friends. Food is always excellent and great choice of drinks. Staff are welcoming and attentive and Kalpesh the owner is fantastic. Also a great place to watch the football or other sports as there are many screens so wherever you sit you always have a view. My personal favs in terms of food - friend wings, lamb chops, pili pili thighs and the keema. But honestly cannot go wrong with anything you order.

Over all it was ok but mutton chops and baingan bharta was the best.

So decided to leave another review... as well as the food always being consistently good and service always brilliant there is something key to why I keep going there. I've noticed with many resturants in the area the takeaway food is different to when you dine in. PF takeaway is as good when you eat there, I've also noticed in some places when you get a takeaway the portion size is smaller than eating in! However PF takeaway is the same size portion when eating in and that I have to congratulate them on. I LOVE the lamb hot pot, closest lamb dish I've found to traditional home cooked food. The lamb and chicken Keema are just as good. What is also good are the vegetarian dishes from main to starters I love the traditional tastes and the spin they put on some of the other dishes which makes them different, unique but so tasty... won't be long before I go through the whole menu ! Love this place ... food is consistently good and the service is brilliant! They are not interested in turning tables around to get in more people they want you to relax and have a great time, enjoy the food and soak up the atmosphere. Henal also insures the service is great. Would really recommend PF for all occasions.

Need restaurant sofas and tables to be changed. Tables are very ordinary .Crockery and cutlery not clean. Need to be checked before putting on customer’s table. Prices are very high comparatively.

5 of us came for dinner this evening. We were well looked after by Parul and Bharti who were courteous and polite and helpful. The food was excellent and timely served. We had good experience and we would definitely come again with friends.

From the moment we stepped into Purple Flame restaurant on Sunday night, the experience was great. The owner and staff greeted us with such warmth and hospitality, making us feel immediately welcomed. The culinary journey began with an array of starters including papadoms, crispy corn and mixed dry fry, each bite a delightful crunch that set the stage for the flavoursome feast to follow. The green chilli chicken was a standout dish, hot but perfectly spiced and cooked to tender perfection, leaving our taste buds tingling for more. The talka dall was comfort in a bowl, its creamy texture and rich taste harmonizing beautifully with other dishes specially the mixed keema. In conclusion, the restaurant delivered an exceptional dining experience that went above and beyond. The combination of a friendly atmosphere, attentive service and, most importantly, exquisite food, makes this a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable meal.

OMG!!!! The food, the atmosphere, the drinks, the vibes, the background music and the staff were all AMAZING!!!!!! The food was incredibly flavoursome and they perfectly adapt to kids, adult's, spicy and non spicy food eaters. They are so welcoming and so incredibly hospitable. The owner in particular, Kalpesh, is BRILLIANT!!! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!! The owner gave my girls and all the kids in my family sweets and made sure that they all had mild butter chicken. It was amazing!!!! The little poppadoms are addictive. The lamb, chicken and veg options are all so delicious. I particularly recommend crispy chicken wings, the mixed dry fry, methi gota and chilli paneer dry fry. The absolute best Indian restaurant I've ever had!!! Thank you Kalpesh for such an amazing meal and experience for me and my family. We can't wait to come back xxx

Fantastic service and amazing food.

Came here looking for some indo-chinese food as everest is now closed and blue ginger was full on mothers day. Unfortunately the food wasn't as good. However what didn't help was the smell in the place along with doing birthday sparklers whilst having no obvious ventilation. The odour and smoke was really off putting. I had to ask the waitress to open the main door to let some fresh air in. Not worth the money at all...

The food was just amazing, so flavourful and beautifully cooked. Quick and efficient service, always someone there to help. Lively environment good atmosphere. Very popular and busy on a Saturday night. Lots of regular customers. The owner gave us a recommendation and catered it to us, and it delivered!!

I asked for a completely spice free masala fish as a takeaway and it was completely the opposite. It was very spicy. The lady serving us told me that it will be exactly as I asked but it wasn't. Very disappointed as had to throw away something that I paid for

Booked a table. Arrived on time, waited 30mins at the bar because no table was available despite being told on multiple occasions it will be 5mins. Went elsewhere in the end. Update: to respond to the below - It’s a small place and we could clearly see nobody was leaving any time soon. You clearly overbooked and should’ve just been honest with us rather than request us to wait for a table that clearly wasn’t available.

Appalling. Had a 7.45pm reservation, showed up on time and was kept waiting. After 30 minutes had passed, we got bored and went to Sugar & Spice Lounge which was excellent.

Food was really good here before as we are regular, but so disappointing today, we went for my birthday - lamb hotpot special normally very tasty and huge portion was watery mostly gravy only. Dishes were bland. Staff not helpful especially as it was quiet and weekday.

Nice restaurant. It was busy and I had booked a table. When we arrived we were shown our table. Request. To take out orders was very fast. All food and drinks were correct as ordered. Some of the dishes were hot although we had asked for a mild taste. The music was really loud rather than as background music. Felt more like a disco place but no where to dance. Softer quieter music would have improved the atmosphere. I would visit again if I heard that the music volume is low and the food was tasty and not hot.

I have need going to this restaurant since I was 2 years old and this is my favourite restaurant. I 100000000% recommend.The crispy fried wings with butter chicken and garlic mogo is my favourite.The workers there are so nice and food come to your table very quickly.

Lovely food burst of flavours! Been here twice now (not a local)! Even my American cousins loved it! Was a bit too noisy so had to shout over each other however it's expected for a busy place.

My family visited this restaurant recently as we had never been before. The restaurant was absolutely freezing when we arrived so not a pleasant atmosphere at all. We ordered a butter chicken, chilli paneer, chilli mogo, lamb kebab, rice and naan. The paneer was extremely spicy, we eat hot food but this was ridiculous. The mogo was very sugary (too much ketchup used). The butter chicken was ok but I won’t be visiting here again as the food was very expensive for what you get.

Why are the kebabs so black and dry? The chicken dishes are so bright red... Food wasn't the greatest!! Will not order again.

This is by far the best Indian restaurant I have been to in zona T bogota. The chicken briyani was excellent alone with the Naan and samosa as starter. Everything was perfect

Absolutely crap Booked 2 months in advance for a family table. And got told sorry you are on separate tables when we arrived. Took 35 minute to get a drink. Food was average for a Indian place in Harrow. 8 year old who wanted to use the toilet told sorry it’s out of service. Had leave the place to go home for a kid to use the toilet. Bonkers for the restaurant.

Went here for my birthday dinner this week... food is ALWAYS on point!!! Thankyou to the bar staff and to the Chef, Kalpesh! Another thing to point out here is that I have BAD IBS and acid reflux but NEVER have any stomach complaints after eating here! Care to share your secret?! 😅😂

All dishes that were ordered tasted the same as they used the same sauce/gravy for all the dishes we had. The raw spices hadn't been cooked properly and this in turn gave an overpowering spice taste

Ordered some food. If you're after chilli paneer, it's basically paneer with a very spicy ketchup sauce. Not very tasty. And overpriced considering the sauce is basically ketchup. Won't be ordering again.

Went for family dinner. The food & service was great. Background music was not too loud, so you could have a conversation without raising your voice. Definitely will be going again.

Although the food was nice and the portions huge, it was such a shame that the atmosphere was so toxic. I ate there last night and the management did absolutely nothing to curb the rowdy behaviour of a group of drunk men at the bar who were constantly shouting and swearing. It was extremely off putting and we ended up getting our food packed up to take away. The service was very good.

Went on a Saturday night, no one greeted at door until about 3 minutes later. Then a waitress came over I asked if any tables free, she asked if made a booking, I replied no. So she said in a rude tone that no booking no table, everything is booked up. Yet the 2 tables I was next to did not have reserved signs. There was no service from her, where she couldve asked are you here to eat/drink,can wait at bar til a table comes available, was just rude. As I got annoyed I advised the party I was with to leave. Went to another establishment, around the corner and this was a totally different experience. They accommodated us for not having a booking and the staff were so friendly. We ended up staying for over 2 hours. Won't ever be going Purple Flame again simply based on the rudeness of the staff

Been here few times in the past (not a local) and it's consistently remained very good. Both veg and non options are plentiful and everything we ordered was great. Keep the flames burning!

Playing music videos whilst also showing the football. Very annoying. Service needs improvement, waitresses don't know how to order, not their fault I guess management need to give further training.

First experience in here was lovely no complaints. So recommended it to some friends, calm, relaxing experience it was not. Food was great as usual, but the minute we sat down we felt rushed from beginning to end. The minute we sat down we were asked if we were ready to order drinks with no time to peruse the drinks menu, bearing in mind we only had One drink menu between the 3 of us. THEN we felt rushed to order our food, had to ask for another menu because only 2 was given. When we got our food in the middle of eating were were constantly asked if we would be ordering anything else (we had only just ordered starters by this time), The annoyance on their face when told that we are still eating, not good and was really irritating. Felt as though we were constantly watched waiting for us to put or forks down to clear up.Then when plates and glasses were being removed, instead of going around the table as etiquette would have, they were reaching over your food and glasses to get them, armpits un all! :( Really not happy with the recent visit and most certainly not be recommending to anyone else. No offer of weather you would like a dessert or not. :| Unfortunate as food is good, but if you don't feel welcome why spend your hard earnt money there??

Took some friends to this restaurant as I had been in May, and the experience was great. Great food and service. Unfortunately, I can't say the experience was as great this time round. Although the food was excellent, we felt rushed, the people serving were on the point of harassment with the constant asking if you are going to order anything else from food to drink.😒 when I constant you food with plates full your still eating and they'd be asking if you want to order anything else. Also the collection of empty plates etc they'd be reaching over your plates abd drinks armpit un all. 🤯 not good at all. What 's wrong with walking around the table?? Totally unsatisfactory experience this time round. Felt awful recommending this place to my friends. Food is great, but if you constantly feel uncomfortable no point being there.😐

It's really loud at night for residents where the pub is located, so I'm giving it one star. Most times, they chat loudly outside until 12am!

Really enjoyed the food here. We had a couple of starters and a couple of mains. One of the chichen curry was too spice (not only for me). They have a good range of beers. I don't like restaurants with TV , hence the 4 stars for the atmosphere. Would recommend! Very busy, so better to book.

Very busy place. Really tasty Indian food. Service is fast and quick. Still there are lots of improvements needed in customer service. Has to ask staff to take orders many times. This place gets busy so advance booking is highly recommended. Place is congested and bit crowded so when it's busy it's very noisy. Overall good place to visit with friends.

we went for the birthday party on 11/06/2023 at 8:50pm. the lady serving on that day she was very rude. she just ruined the mood of the party. she doesn’t know how to serve. she was not listening properly what we are ordering. taste of the food was excellent but just because of service of that girl, everything was gone wrong.

We went for dinner last night 7 people and since we entered in the restaurant the girl who was serving us on 11/06/23 time 8.50pm to 10.30pm was really rude and giving us a bad look within 3 minutes she came to us for order I told her we are waiting for friend give us times she didn’t get it. She heard one of us talking in gujarati she started serving us in gujarati we had few friends they dont get gujarati there is no professionalism.we orders chilli garlic mushroom she herd fish I don't know how come.then another girl came over and asking did you order lamb I don’t know what they were up to we all were vegetarian My husband planning for company’s party in purple flame but we don’t think so it’s good place never recommend to others. Food was good not really good that you chose to go over again needs to improve services need good friendly staff.

Food was absolutely fine. But on of the staff women was not in great service. Asking us why need cutlery if I have a order naan for curry's. I think she is over smart. I don't know may be new or don't have a any customer service experience all other staff was good and wll trained. But definitely that women need training. In hot weather indian fav lassi not available strange. Apart from all good. But definitely that women need retraining. Think twice To visit again. 🙏

Great food, service and atmosphere. Brilliant for kids and adults. This restaurant is a must for all. Garlic mogo is incredible as well as the mix grill 😋 😍 you must order the chicken methi it's incredible. 10/10 Perfect place to watch footy or cricket. Give them a call and book. Or UberEats is available. Just the best restaurant in London!

Was a good evening out and quickly seated even though it was busy. Food was good size portions and taste. Service was also good and friendly.

Massive disappointment, booked a table for 15 of us at 5pm on Saturday. The restaurant wasn’t very busy. We ordered, a mixture of veg and non veg items, as some of us are vegetarian. We ordered a Paneer Roll, they gave us a mixed chicken and lamb roll instead, to a vegetarian. They didn’t understand the fact the boy was vegetarian, they were not apologetic at all. Extremely worrying. They eventually replaced it with a paneer roll. Other dishes we ordered were chilli paneer, Manchurian, masala mogo and mock chicken, they seem to all be made with the same sauce, all tasted very similar. The crispy bhaja’s were extremely greasy. The non veg members of the group enjoyed their food more than the veggie members. When we asked for the bill they had charged us for the paneer roll, after we complained they took it off the bill and an additional 10 %, which is not much at all when the waitress had also spilled beer on one of our jackets. Overall the service was very poor. I don’t recommend this restaurants to vegetarians.

Went here after such a long time to see if things had changed. People rave about this place but my personal opinion is it may be good for meat lovers but it is pretty much standard for veg dishes. We had a varied selection of starters and the star for me was the methi gota, just like how blue ginger used to serve back in the days. The other starters were OK nothing special and pretty much bog standard for the area. The mains were along the same line, service was quick but we went on a Tuesday when it wasn't so busy, just the regulars in that look like they camp there most days! Personally think locally you can't beat Dawat but this is just a Veggie eaters point of view.

WOW WOW WOW. A gem of a place in the heart of Honeypot Lane and one that serves the finest drinks, and accompanied with the finest Indian infused food. Whether you pop in for a quick drink and a snack, or spending an evening downing cocktails and a tucking into a lovely meal from the a la carte menu, the service afforded to you by the staff as well as the owners will leave you wanting to come back here over and over again. The methi gota, potato wada are just a few things to start on. The menu is exquisite and does dishes no one can replicate. Hats off to the establishment, a place you must visit. And the biggest asset to the establishment, is Ria, who goes above and beyond in catering to your needs, ensuring you are made to feel at home.

Visited Friday night for dinner. Food as always good. Staff very courteous. Friendly atmosphere. It was very noisy though. Portion of all dishes including starters found compared to before small.

I’m from the states and have to say this rocked the socks off any Indian food even Regency Club. Even though everyone recommended regency club, we went here first then there. This was more our flavor profile. This place catered to our flavor profile and spiciness.

I came here yesterday for a casual catch up with a friend. It was a great atmosphere. The team were lovely. The food was delicious and portions were a good size. We had the chicken wings, daal, keema, rice and naan. All were delicious. I loved the sizzling chocolate brownie as well. It’s very instagram! I got so into it that I forgot to turn my video on. I know that they are also in progress of getting more vegan options on the menu too. I sampled one and that was nice too. In terms of drinks, they have a wide selection of cocktails and mocktails. I ordered a magherita, which was really nice. There was a lychee martini on the menu that I will try next time. It looked really nice. They also have a selection of wine. The Prosecco was a good quality one too. I will definitely be back here. I really enjoyed it. Everyone was so friendly

Came here from meal with my family. Very noisy night as there was a football match on. My young child didn’t like all the shouting. Food itself was very tasty. Loved the chilli paneer and the Naan was soft and melt in the mouth. Paneer tikka was really nicely cooked in aromatic spices that tasted amazing. First time here and I would return with friends for a meal out.

As a family we normally order from Purple Flame as it is reasonably priced and the food is generally very good. On Mothers Day evening, we order starters and mains. We ordered roti and sadly it came cold and burnt. It was hard and crispy. It was not nice to eat at all. Overall, we were disappointed more than anything as we enjoy ordering from Purple Flame. We just hope this doesn't happen again as we want to continue ordering from them.

The food was nice. But wasn't too sure about the chilli panner, the sauce taste was really nice. But the panner cubes themselves tasted slightly off. Like they had been sitting in water for a few days or they make the panner in house. I still ended up eating the full portion, as the sauce was that tasty. Crispy bhujia were actually just how I like them. Service was on point. Restaurant caters for vegetarians.

Great atmosphere Food good spicy bit on the pricey end we only a range of starters spent around £40

If you know what to expect then purple flame is great. Some dishes better than others (paneer or mushroom dry fry - better than tikka, jeera chicken, egg curry are noteable). More of the guys pub but families definitely show up. I prefer to stick to tusker or any beer on tap for drinks. Paan isn’t too sweet so that’s good. More old school classic Indian pub vibe. Some guy playing the one slot machine at 3pm beside the table of uncles running away for a cheeky one is expected.

It's our "go to" place. When you need a curry fix or just some starters. Consistency is key and that's what you get here. I highly recommend the Chilli Chicken, Paneer Dry Fry. Get the spiced up butter chicken for mains. Mouth watering. The staff are also always ready on hand to make your experience extra special! Home style food in a family friendly environment and I didn't need to do the dishes after haha. Love it!

I used to love this restaurant but it’s changed now! The food was average (usually it’s really good). This time the paneer came semi cold, they forgot our rice after asking twice, the service was also very slow (we won’t on a Thursday - football match was on). We had to go up to the bar on 3 occasions to ask for someone to come take our order / help. The table next to us encountered the same issue and it spoilt the evening to be honest. Sadly won’t be returning.

End to End Quality Amazing Food & Service

Food was ok but a bit expensive compared to similar style restaurants in the area like blue ginger. The mixed grill was nice but very very small but it still cost £25! It didnt come on a bed of onions and had neither lamb chops or chicken wings. You can get 2 mixed grills for that price elsewhere. The mains were ok. Also they don't do boneless lamb main dishes which I found a bit strange. Also we were charged for a cranberry juice even though I returned it because it was warm (room temperature)! They almost refused to refund me for it and seemed angry when they finally had to. Nice family atmosphere and the mains dishes were good sized portions. Overall it is overpriced and not as good as similar restaurants in the area such as blue ginger or spice rack.

OK service. Kebabs not to my taste. Lamb chops chewy. Tandoori wings good. 2nd Time there. Service really poor. Kebabs were better. Jeera chicken was terrible. Chilli Fish was much too hot to taste any of the fish. Prawn starter was okay. Mushroom starter was very good.

One dish was salty and very hot to taste. The lamb pilau had more bones and less meat. Service was very good.

Got delivery tonight and have to say it had so much chilly we could not eat it. FYI we do eat hot spicy food all the time. The chilli garlic paneer was unedible, Chana masala was just as bad. I called them to let them know we could not eat it at all and there response was that how they make it, medium hot. No word of apology and sympathy. Also said we did not receive any mint chutney and he said 'you can pick it up....it would have been sent'! His responses was unsympathetic and did not make me feel like they valued my custom. Indian food is more than just chilly. Don't think I'll be ordering again. Just an apology would have been good!!

Food has gone up in price and quality and taste is not great. Not value for money.

Horrible experience. Took over an hour for starters to come out and they came out one dish at a time. After an hour since the first dish came out we cancelled the other items and left.

I normally love Purple Flame and always get a takeaway when coming back to London. This time Awful Awful Awful, we waited 1 hour 20minutes for the takeaway to be delivered. When it came one item was missing. I understand this happens and people are human but it really shouldn’t be if you’re making customers wait over an hour. The customer service is also something to be desired, the ticket with the order had all items ticket bar the missing item, this was explained. We were told the Deliveroo driver stole it, interesting stance when the item was clearly never double checked, why not just apologise.
