Went here on the back of trip advisor reviews. The food was excellent but the service was too slow, even though the staff were friendly.

this is a place to relax and enjoy a great brunch. Staff very accommodating and friendly and the menus and pricing very reasonable for the area.

I have been to Pure Nest 2 times, as a Vegan I was excited that we finally had a Vegan cafe in Muswell hill. It is getting more and more overpriced (£1.50 for a small pot of ketchup??), everything is extras and charged. On top of this the dishes are very overpriced, they're small and taste very similar. There are also hardly any options to choose from on the menu. To top this the management come across very rude. Avoid, plenty of other good vegan cafes you could spend your money instead.

We really enjoyed our lunch here. All day breakfast and loads of lunch options served in lovely refurbished surroundings. We were 2 vegans and 1 vegetarian all having loads of choice. It's dairy-free (not completely vegan as eggs are served as well as smoked salmon) but you are spoilt for choice if you are a vegan. Great staff. We would highly recommend.

With myself being a coeliac and my son being allergic to dairy, egg (needs an epi pen) and peanuts I was excited when I heard about this place.... 1. You CAN’T have a vegan cafe that serves EGG!!! Cross contamination in the kitchen and luckily no one was eating freshly cooked egg around my son. 2. When we visited Disney springs in Florida we went to a bakery that was gluten and vegan and you would never know it was delicious! Pure need to be taught how to make vegan and gluten free food properly and be educated on how to create a flavour using alternative produce. Everything we tried just tasted of coconut and tasted off. This review is not to damage the company because I think it’s heart is in the right place, rather than to wake up the owners and improve its product as if they made some changes it could be successful and a much needed allergen cafe!

I've been to Pure Nest a few times because I love the concept and want so much to like the place but I'm constantly disappointed by the service. The waitress seems unsure of herself and not very friendly. She also complicates simple orders (I ordered the chia berry bowl once - which does not come with fresh berries - and nuts are additional. I asked for a variety of nuts to which I was given a lengthy list of nuts at £2 per type. When I asked for a "variety" equal to 1 portion I was very surprised to see I was charged per each individual type of nut!) On another occasion I asked for a "latte slushy" which was described as having crushed ice. I asked what type of milk it was made with and was told any kind. So I asked for coconut. The waitress several minutes later brought my latte slushy over explained that because the coconut milk is powdered she had to mix it with hot water so it was effectively luke warm ! Not hot or cold and no ice! Just tepid watered down coffee. I could not drink it and left it, and at no point during my visit was I asked how everything was. So the latte remained untouched. Terrible customer service. On top of that, they have a puppy that was left barking in the kitchen. It was later brought out by the owner to go to the toilet on a training pad in the front corner of the dining area! Right in back of a table with customers. Also, the wait is on average 30 minutes no matter how simple a meal is ordered. There is only 1 cook to my knowledge and everything seems to be prepared one meal at a time. I'm sorry to say I will not be going back. The food is only average for the amount of time spent waiting.

The owner is a certified nutritionist and naturopath, so not only the food is delicious but is also amazing for you. I love this place, everything is freshly-made and the ingredients are gluten and diary-free. Personal favorites are the nutritious omelettes and the divine pancakes!

lovely lady running the cafe the day we were there but slightly disappointing lunch time menu, probably should have stuck with the brunch menu but it was an interesting experience and for once our coeliac family members did not need to worry about what they were eating as the cafe is gluten free approved. All the food was very fresh and the smoothies were great, a regular was huge! Would go back for coffee and cakes on a Sunday for sure.

I rarely write reviews (apart from when i discovered a self rotating hairbrush hairdryer that has revolutionised all nights out and I can leave the house looking like a non frizzy mess - babyliss from Amazon FYI). I recently due to a whole wealth of digestive issues decided to go Vegan. I was in Muswell Hill visiting a friend and she recommended the Pure Nest Cafe for lunch. Now I love a veggie burger but man alive this burger was out of this world. You know the sort of meal where youre thinking 'I dont want this to end but I have scarfed it down so fast I may need to order it again?' well...that happened. I was with my friend who professes to being a rubbish cook (she isnt)..The owner comes up and starts teaching us how to make our own at home. how nice is that?!?! We had cupcakes to follow. Also divine - but I was still thinking about that burger...and now 60 miles away I am at home....still thinking about that burger. They do good burgers. Did I mention that?!

Went there on a Sunday for a light bite in the afternoon. Sadly they had run out of eggs. I ordered a salmon and avocado sandwich - but asked it be open sandwich. As I waited for my food I observed the cook telling off the waiter, saying she had never heard of an open sandwich. She came with a great chunk of ciabatta bread and said, if I didn't want to eat the top I could leave it. It was disappointing - no lemon juice or seasoning just slices of avocado and smoked salmon, with a few leaves of rocket. £8.50. I ordered a coffee but he forgot it. So I paid up and went elsewhere for coffee where I got a warmer welcome (Evangelina's Patisserie just down the road). Won't be returning. I can only think that it is kept afloat by people with allergies as they specialise in gluten and dairy free options. It's certainly not the ambience or the friendliness of the staff.

I've been to Pure Nest a few times and the Buddha bowl and banana pancakes were very good. However, the coffee isn't very nice and the cupcakes are overly sweet. The waffles were ok but quite a small portion. Whilst the first time I was there, the service from the waiter was very good, the last couple of times I've been the waitress who served me was extremely rude. This ruined my experience so I doubt I'll be back. Also the cafe has a weird ambiance as it's usually very quiet - it would be better if they played some background music so that you can't hear other people's conversations (including staff - one time I overheard the staff moaning about customers which I thought was very unprofessional).
