Pulcinella Pizzeria in Ealing

Opted for the £12 weekday lunch menu. 2 courses for £12 (optional third course for £3 although I was charged £6 and didn’t realise until after)- but I did take the tiramisu to go, and it was divine. Bruschetta was so so good. Pizza was pretty decent too :)

The waiter was extremely rude and no customer service skills. We were the only ones at the restaurant when we walked in so there was not the element of stress for him. The draught beer was warm. The lasagna I ordered there was hardly any meat, a spoonful if I was lucky, it was all pasta and cream. I left most of it. The pizza that my partner ordered was nearly bare without the toppings. The meal and service do not justify the £45 including drinks spent.

Really authentic Italian fare in Ealing. This was our second time and it didn’t disappoint. Lunch time set menu was fantastic value for money with delicious food and great quantities. I had funghi risotto which was outstanding. My husbands pizza was fabulous. Ambiance is pretty much like an Italian trattoria so don’t expect plush surroundings.Can’t go wrong and will definitely come back again.

Portions were generous, our group had the calzone, lasagna, pizza, and garlic bread. Enjoyed all the food and the experience.

I ordered the aubergine pasta and the vesuvio pizza. Both were delicious and tasted really fresh. The waiter was really attentive and gracious towards my capricious toddler as well!

Been there a few times and last time for my birthday. Lovely atmosphere, nostalgic Italian songs, tidy and clean place, great service (Grazie Dante) and most importantly great food! Highly recommend 😊

My usual go to for no fuss good lunch with friends in Ealing. The food is nice, the place is spacious and clean. They do have a lunch deal which is interesting

Not too bad, but not my favourite

The worst pasta carbonara ever!!! I do not recommend. Firstly, me and my husband waited for 25 minutes for waiter to take our order and when we received the food the waiter said, ah, sorry, did you ordered 2 portions?? We prepared just one, so we had to wait another 20 mins for the other one. Carbonara was far away from being carbonara, liquid sauce, not creamy, not tasty, basically boiled pasta with water, pepper and a bit of guanciale. Hope my review will help you to choose a better place

If only there were more waiters like you in London, dear Dante... we would all go to eat at restaurants more willingly!! Everything was excellent from the appetizers of cured meats and mixed frying to the pizza!!

Two of us had dinner one weekday evening. The restaurant itself is quite nice. The exterior and interior are fairly welcoming and traditional. The menu was extensive and contained all the Italian classics you would expect and a good range of pizzas. The service was bare bones. They were not welcoming, talkative or friendly. Very much the bare minimum of taking our order, putting the plates down and providing the card machine. The food was alright. I’d say about average for a mid/low range Italian. The calamari tasted nice and was freshly cooked. However they could be a bit chewy in places. The pizza toppings were fresh and tasty. Although the pizzas were cooked quite unevenly. On one pizza one side was quite blackened and the other side pale. Both pizzas were quite wet and sloppy, so the toppings did not stick. Generally, a very average or slightly below average Italian.

We were at the Pulcinella restaurant about three times during our stay in London. We repeat for the food, excellent pasta and tiramisu! Correct quality and price, given that London is an expensive place. Very cozy and quiet place

Enjoyed lunch with a few delicious pasta and pizza.

Ealked in wanting to have some lasagna. Had the Gamberoni and Risotto Nero instead, both cooked beautifully, left Pulcinella feeling fed and happy and not regretting the changing of mind (although getting a whif of the lasagna led me to having second thoughts on staying for a second main... it smelled THAT good). Relaxed place with a nice background music that felt right. Service was attentive with a smile and the only thing I'd change (although not enough to give it less than 5*) was the serving the main before finishing the starter. Two more minutes and the beauty of it would have been enjoyed a bit more.

I rather like this warm restaurant in Ealing. Good vegan menu, too - my favourite is the spaghetti with aubergine and pine nuts.

We came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The food was so good, we had the asparagus starter and pasta for mains. All dishes were delicious especially the broccoli and sausage meat pasta. I would come back for that. We were the only ones dining which was a surprise but we heard it can get busy. The only annoying thing was they advertise the lunch deal on the window and in the menu but it doesn’t apply on weekends so that needs to be made clearer I feel. Especially as the dishes on the special menu aren’t on the main menu. Nice atmosphere and brilliant authentic Italian food. Would definitely return.

Yesterday, I've tried LINGUINE AI FRUTTI DI MARE. Pulcinella Pizzeria in Ealing. This small restaurant in the heart of Ealing is driving me mad! I'm about a third of the way through their menu, and their chefs consistently create such mouthwatering dishes. The fact that it is exceptionally affordable is amazing! Highly recommended!" What a treat!!! A picture is worth a thousand words.

It was the opposite of feel-good food. The pizza lacked sauce, the bell peppers were bitter and the chorizo tasted weird! Quite disappointed since we had received amazing reviews for the place.

We were after a quick bite before a show. We felt welcome straight away. Drinks came quickly, followed soon after by the food. It was piping hot, and really tasty. And it was excellent value. Owner was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I haven’t check any review before poping in. When I saw the shop I imagined it would be authentic Italian resturant. The ambiant and the staff were ok. They could be more friendly and welcoming. I ordered a pizza with the expectation of having proper Italian dought and Parma ham, etc… however it wasn’t great. Considering the price of all pizza from 14-16£, the Capricciosa Pizza i ordered, had a burnt and sticky/chewingly artickokes and the parma ham definately wans’t Parma ham. It tasted like a very cheap ham you can get from supermarkets. I was’t really satisfy with pizza. The wine was nice. But overally I expected much more especially when I read the reviews while waiting for my pizza. Thought I found a good local authentic cusine but I think it is overrated.

We didn't receive the salad, one of the items on the order, and were not able to get through to the restaurant nor to customer service to address this. The food that arrived however was brilliant.

I had seen this restaurant several times when in Ealing, but we always seemed to go to other places. But today we thought we would chance it and I'm really glad we did. We had the tomato and basil soup, which was intensely flavoursome, and I had Pollo al Diavolo and my wife had a Pizza Margherita. Totally authentic Italian cooking at a very, very reasonable price (£12 each for two courses).

A very atmospheric place in the heart of Ealing Broadway. The pizza is beyond praise, the octopus pasta is simply magical. Very nice place, friendly staff, I recommend it.

Delicious every time - our favourite Italian in Ealing!

Nice “family restaurant” atmosphere and fresh, stone baked pizzas. Unfortunately, the food was plain and missing things it was listed on the menu as having. One of the items received was incorrect. It was a quiet Monday night, so I was expecting more care to be taken as it was not busy.

Came here on a whim as we needed somewhere fast to eat. Place was very quiet, maybe 2 or 3 other tables had people sitting at them. I love stone baked pizza, but I must admit this was pretty poor. I received the wrong order, and when somewhere is quite quiet I would expect a bit more care taken? But do appreciate sometimes these things happen! My sister’s pizza though was plain and just not nice. It was also advertised with pistachios which were not on the pizza so just made it more bland. A shame as the pizzas look really good and the setting of the restaurant was nice.

Good quality wood fired oven pizza and authentic Italian vibe. Friendly service and good value for money. We really enjoyed a family meal here

Booked in advance for a party of 11 and happily the tables were arranged together and ready for us on arrival. Service was prompt and friendly and food was excellent. Giardiniera pizza for this vegetarian was delicious and parmesan free. Dessert I had a chocolate cake with ice-cream, others had tiramisu and loved it. If I went again I'd have exactly the same. Including the prosecco which went down very easily (although it was served in champagne glasses, you wouldn't get that in Italy!).

Looking for somewhere for a group of 12 friends to have a really special lunch in the Ealing area, I came across Pulcinella Pizzeria on Ealing High Street. A family run business, we were all very impressed with the warm welcome, the lovely authentic Italian atmosphere and totally delicious food. Pizza’s to die for, and other choices from the menu were equally good. Nothing was too much trouble, we never felt pressured to leave after a certain time, and everyone in our group commented on how much they had enjoyed the lunch. Thank you to the team at Pulcinella - you were awesome. Highest recommendation.

I came here for a dinner with my partner. I really enjoyed the food we both had a pasta dish and the portions were good , tasted fresh . The wait for the food was too long. If the seating was more comfortable I probably wouldn't have minded so much . But the seats were so uncomfortable I was sat on this wooden bench . I switched seats with my partner but just still couldn't relax with a glass of wine as the seats were just so not comfortable.

Met family for a meal. Everything they they said about it was true. Welcoming, affable, enjoyable, no excepts just right on perfect. Thank you it had been a tiring day.

4 of us cousins came here for the first time and it was such a wonderful experience. The service was spot on, Our waiter was so friendly and made a few recommendations. The food was amazing. We will definitely come here again.

Currently on holiday in London and saw this pizzeria on Tastecard’s blog for the best pizza spot. What an amazing place! Not even joking when I say that the mussels were the best I have ever had. The pizza was also amazing, with a thick Neapolitan crust cooked in their pizza oven. Certainly worth a try!

Spontaneous visit to this little restaurant which cheerfully accommodated four guests without a reservation on a Saturday night. Extensive menu with daily 'specials' . I would return.

Best pizza I’ve ever had, period

Bland pizza, poor service. It was a freezing December evening. Plenty of tables empty, but the waiter insisted we sit by the entrance door - with freezing wind coming through whenever a new guest arrived. We put up with that and a bland pizza only to see the empty tables being occupied by people without reservation. First and last visit.

Confusing experience that I unfortunately regret how I handled it. Me and my friend went for dinner. As we were looking over what to eat we heard a couple who were a few tables down ask the waiter if the food was two for one on starters and mains. He responded yes. When the waiter came to our table I asked him the same question and he said yes. Me and my friend proceeded to order two starters and two mains between us(before I ordered I also asked him a further question if we could mix and match the orders. He also said yes) When the time came to pay only one starter and main was on the bill including our drinks. We paid the bill. Only then after the waiter asked if we had a card to show we get two for one on food. We were so confused at this point because not once from the start I enquired about the deal until we paid did he mentioned we needed a card to be eligible for this deal. In fact why even take payment before confirming. He spoke with his manager and they said we’d need to pay full price. I wish I hadn’t but I didn’t want to make a big fuss. It seems like a big oversight on the restaurants part not to check these things. In terms of food. My calamari included deep fried courgettes and bell peppers which I found baffling. I ordered calamari not calamari and vegetables. My friends pizza was underwhelming and the lemon spritz was not nice. Avoid if you can.

The food was amazing! Proper authentic Italian food which i had missed! Service was excellent and they have amazing margaritas. I wish i had asked for the name of the lovely guy who made our margaritas but they were the absolute best we ever had

Completely cold and slightly burnt, not the first time, either

Despite being a regular visitor, my recent experience at Pulcinella Pizzeria was extremely disappointing. The pizza with zucchini was burned, and the risotto portion was notably smaller than usual. When I raised my concerns to the waiter, I was directed to inform the owner. This lack of immediate resolution was disheartening. Unfortunately, this visit has left me with no intention of returning in the near future. A disappointing deviation from the usual quality.

Just amazing Italien food with great service. The portions were very large but at the same time price worthy! I’m also vegetarian and this is the first Italien I have ever been to that has some really great vegetarian options. Love it

They have a very nice pizza. However, it arrived completely cold. The delivery guy brought the pizza out of any thermal boxes. As I live close, I believe he walked to my house with the pizza completely exposed to 10 degrees.

Food wasn't really the best there. Thosepizzas had no taste! I ordered 2 different pizzass, and my friend 2 different ones. I tried 4 pizzas and were rather awful. They didn't even have oil to put on the pizza or bread which seems to be a standard. The stuff was lovely!!

The order was clearly rushed, only had broccoli stems and a whole sausage all over the pasta which made it very sickening. Not the first time this happened either unfortunately. Very disappointing as food quality when dining in is completely different. However, the sauce was excellent and pasta was cooked to perfection.

Cheap compared to nearby restaurants but the quality of the food was poor. Starter was served very quickly and the calamari had clearly been reheated and was very chewy . Lasagne tasted ok once we peeled off the bit of black burned cheese on the top. Linguine vongole was just ok but had used frozen clams and could taste this in the sauce , had a slightly metallic flavour. Didn't have pizza but table next to us had and they looked like a better option.

The overall experience was good. But I know of a place that servers better pizza, so will stick to that place. The dough was a little chewy, the sauce could have been a little more flavourful and the more fillings. Again, I am comparing to my usual place.

If you're looking for a restaurant in Ealing that values its customers then this restaurant is the place for you. The food is incredible and the service is outstanding. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, they go above and beyond and they make you feel right at home. From an extensive menu offering exquisite freshly cooked Italian food, to attentive, friendly, fabulous staff through to an overall wonderful ambience. We had the perfect evening, I can't recommend Pulcinella Pizzeria enough and can't wait to visit again soon.

First time, but not last.. loved the ambience of the place . Delightful "old world" finishings Music could be lower, but it was early afternoon. First time I have not had ketchup on my potatoes..there wasn't any..small things, would have loved my bistecca and potatoes on a hot plate and the salad separate. Mostly a pleasant First visit...

Good n quite authentic Italian.

It was a group dinner arranged by others. Lovely spread of antipasto, pizza, pasta and dessert. However it wasn’t easy to circulate and meet with others. I’d use it again if only to avoid noisy children which I suffered this nearby tonight

We really enjoyed the pizza we shared at this restaurant and the waiter was friendly. Personally, I found the music a bit annoying, but my girlfriend liked it and said it reminded her of Italy. So, I'm giving the restaurant 5 stars, but knocking my girlfriend down to 4 stars due to her taste in music.

My go to place when I am in the area, Luca and his staff do a great job! Pizza is incredible, they also have a great gluten free pizza crust option.

Me and my partner went over the weekend and had late lunch, and it was by far the best restaurant we went in a while. The pizza is a thin base one and the quality is outstanding. They also played Italian music which is a plus. Highly recommended!

Had vegan pizza, just did not enjoy it

Nice place with lots of details and references to Naples. The intention was to eat a pizza, which is the pride of the place. We left extremely disappointed. The pizzas that were served to us were completely burnt underneath and inedible. Far from what the true Neapolitan tradition is.

The pizza is to die for, and the staff is so friendly. The place was full of italian people which is always a guarantee for quality for italian food.

Nice enough pizza and a large variety to choose from (including a decent amount of vegetarian options), though slightly underseasoned. The tables have been squeezed just a bit too close together though, and the servers were quite awkward. Again though, nice enough and priced accordingly.

Shame that we did not have change to try food due to misleading information provided on Meerkat - this restaurant is listed with offer 2-4-1 available from Sunday to Thursday . After asking waiter for how long they are having an issue with that - he said for many weeks - shame nothing been done - I reported this to meerkat

Went here for the first time tonight and it was amazing! The owner was very kind and funny which made our night, food was delicious. We had mozzarella focaccia and their gorgonzola artichokes. Tiramisu for dessert which was great as well and could tell it’s their own recipe, definitely coming back❤️

Delicious pizza (I had "Del Capo") nice atmosphere, cosy, owners/staff were friendly, great to hear them chatting away in Italian and singing along to the Italian music that was playing, made it feel really authentic. Highly recommended!
