Pugzie's in Southend-on-Sea

Out on my bike and just needed a snack to stop the worms biting. Ordered a quarter pounder with onions and mustard. That’s exactly what I got, no fancy frills, just what I ordered….. how refreshing and at £4.50, much more reasonably priced than the cafés across the road. The burger was cooked fresh as were the onions, and the bap didn’t fall apart. Friendly service too, what more could I ask for? Very satisfied thanks.

Awful tasting doughnuts and the woman who served us was so rude and moaned at me for moving away from the collection hatch. She clearly needs to go on a 'how to treat your customers with respect' course!!

The worst experience I've had on Southend seafront, do not support these horrible people. They badly swore at a poor woman and her small child because they touched touched some ketchup (there were no signs or instructions not to do so). The manager was incredibly rude when i was ordering my donuts. Which I through in the bin after I'd seen them not sticking to covid regs. They were touching their faces and mouths before touching food they were giving out. Even with a "5 star rating". I have no idea how they are still able to be open. It's not like I could report anything to the manager as she was instantly aggressive. What a shame.

I visited this place to grab a couple of drinks with my family and witnessed what can only be described as pure abuse of a young woman, she had put sauce on her chips and the woman in the kiosk shouted "don't touch the f***ing sauce! The young woman asked her to repeat what she said as her daughter had heard it and was upset, the woman shouted at her saying about covid, the young woman apologised and said she was unaware of the rule and there was no signs or hadn't t been told. The woman in the kiosk continued to be aggressive and shout, the young woman was obviously upset but had to wait for food she had ordered, when it arrived she asked to speak to the manager who also continued to shout and swear, I was so shocked and myself and my family were really upset by this, my wife saw one of them spit in the food, absolutely disgusting, needless to say we left and won't be returning, poor woman!!

Amazing chips! £2.00 a portion and theyre crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle! They have a great range of beach stuff, candy floss etc. Loo's are right across the road.

.... So I tried. We’re not from the area but whilst visiting family I went out of my way to visit this business to purchase some items for my family. Not seeing what we wanted outside, we were told they were inside the shop and how we could get to them. I admit, I was unaware this is just a kiosk, so entered the premises as instructed, thinking it must be a beach shop. Once inside I was met by the most confrontational, rude and aggressive staff members. I admit, I made a mistake entering, but I was following instructions i’d been given by their staff. I wasn’t given the opportunity to explain myself, just met with sheer aggression. I understand these are challenging & unnerving times & my entering the business was obviously not expected, but the reaction I got was absolutely over the top and down right rude. Needless to say, we will not be paying them a visit in the future. I’ll get what I wanted on Amazon.

This place is absolutely one of the worst I ve ever seen in my life.Shockingly rude servers think they pay you for shopping there instead of you pay them. I m glad she didn’t slap me because I wanted to order drinks and sweets from them. I wanted to buy so many things but I ended up buying only two waters and walked away because I couldn’t stand the level of that young lady... I just think they hate working there while everyone else is out having fun with their family. Then they shouldn’t work there at all.. Stay away from this rude people.. Definitely thumbs down from me 👎🏻

Such a great location but we'll behind the times. Only wanted a coffee with soya milk due to lactose intolerance. No soya milk and the coffee was poor for such a big mark up. I should have gone across the road and got one with soya milk. It is a bog standard cafe spot selling the same old stuff as most of the fast food huts. There are one or two huts/shacks that are now changing this and offering things like oat milks, soy, vegan food and healthier foods as they ride the wave of progressive eating habits. I will go to the one of the others in future where they are moving along with the times.

The donuts are really lovely, the ice creams are done really well. Service is amazing. Boss is a very fun bubbly person. I definitely recommend this place. Will be going again. Love it here. 🍦🍩🍦🍩👌🏽

The donuts from here are not as nice as other huts on the front and they dont handle the Q's very well on a busy day

Had lunch, ice cream and their famously tasty donuts there today. Friendly service delicious food. They're not here to be a top restaurant. So for what it is and compared to other beach kiosks in the area, quality and price is spot on.

This is not a cafe, but a kiosk in Westcliff opposite the arches cafes. It serves doughnuts, ice cream etc. Both the staff serving there were ever so nice and friendly. 5 stars for service. However hubby, myself and the kids all had the whippy 99 flake ice creams and some doughnuts and am afraid it all tasted rather horrible. The ice cream had an odd taste, not like it should do anyway and the doughnuts also didn't taste like they should or do at other places on the front where we have had doughnuts. Maybe it was just an off day though.
