Proper Handmade Pizza and Burger in Hambleton

This was a great place to get a good burger but my last 2 order months apart have not been good. The latest today 15/9/24 for a total of just shy of £80 was burnt burgers and chips of which most went in the bin so I will not be ordering again

The pizza tasted horrible no flavour at all. Chips wasn't great either, not be ordering from there again it's gone right down hill

Order taking too long. It’s not even a big order either. First time having food here. Never again.

The chips was the only decent thing on my order as the pizza was like chewing rubber and had no taste to it so i think that the other day was my first and last time ill ever be having any food from this takeaway

They make good chips, and food, but unfortunately a service member keeps harassing me as I apparently "kicked" a window.

We order from here... a lot, we always order cheese burger and chip meal X2 and a kids burger but NYE I ordered a cheese cake as well which I never have before and probably will never again . It looked like it had a really hard life and was frozen.

Vile!! Told the man that answered not to put red salt on the chips also got wedges in with it that looks like it's been in the fryer for months vile place

My partner and I have used this takeaway/delivery since they opened. In October we ordered a delivery and it was stone cold. I called the takeaway to report this and the owner said our next meal would be free, I called tonight to request our free replacement, order taken without issue, 5 minutes later we get a call back from the owner saying that he would only send 1 meal and the other needed paying for he then proceeded to say he had never made this promise calling me “my friend” and “ liar” in the same breath.

We placed a large order last night for a group of us and everything was fantastic, we had a mixture from burgers and wraps to pizzas, I would highly recommend Thank you

The best burger I've had from a takeaway!!! The 6oz burgers are cooked to perfection (not dry or rubbery) and the salad and bun are stacked with care. Never seen so many fries sent for saying I ordered Medium size. This place are so generous with their portions there's no way you'll be hungry after. Our food was delivered within an hour with updates from Just Eat. Will definitely order from here again.

Absolutely fantastic food! I ordered the 18oz Cheese and Bacon burger and it was 3 thick burgers with loads of fresh veggies and sauce. It was way too big for my mouth so had to break it down. The chips are incredible and probably the best I've had in Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire. Also ordered onion rings and chocolate fudge cake and both of those were amazing too. Definitely ordering again soon. Thanks!

Tried this place today and at first I thought it's abit expensive but wow wow wow its the best burger I've ever tasted and it was massive if I could five this place 6 stars I would absolutely fantastic well worth the money brilliant

I have been ordering for 3yrs from 'The Proper Handmade Burger and Pizza' and have yet to be disappointed with their food! The burger salad toppings are always fresh in appearance and taste, and the buns have also never been stale in taste or dried out. The fries come with a nice salted seasoning on them, and the portion sizes are definitely generous!! I'm always happy with my orders and like to treat myself once in a while to a "Proper handmade burger"

Whenever I fancy a nice burger, I always order from here. Nice, juicy burgers and the fries are amazingly tasty. Although the portion size is great, I do struggle sometimes to eat it all (not a bad thing). The amount of extras you can put on your burgers is amazing as I always add jalapeños to give it a bit of a kick. The pizzas are top notch and again, can’t fault them either. We live close to this restaurant and a McDonald’s and our go to place is here for sure. Will order more from them in the future.

Food was amazing and the male delivery staff was very friendly would definitely recommend if you like some good food

My son orders from here all the time so I thought I would try it .. had the cheese and bacon burger meal .. omg it was massive and proper meaty and the fries were to die for .. beats any mcd burger and such good value for money given how costly takeaways are today ***

I have been meaning to try this place for a while and popped in this evening. I tried the bacon and cheese burger meal and I wasn't disappointed, the burger was meaty 100% beef so I was told and after eating it I'm not going to argue with that. Fries were nice and plenty of them. I will definitely be going again.

Best burger takeaway ive ever had. Been looking for place like this for ages. I had a 18 oz (3 patties) and was slightly too much for me so 12 oz will be perfect next time (cant wait :), also fries with special seasoning were amazing (not spicy) , Really good price for A* burgers.

First thought when ordering a burger was the price was a little high but once I saw the quality and compared to a whopper which is about the same price I'm giving it 5*, ordered a pizza as well for the kids and iv never seen them eat so fast #piranhas#as good as dominos#good handmade food.

Very Good burger feel very full now

Food came on time but was not impressed with it, pizza was under cooked, garlic bread was over cooked on top but under cooked on the bottom, fries and onion rings was soggy and not edible, coleslaw was warm nor cold and milkshake didn't taste anything like it was meant to. Not be ordering again

Good food, chips amazing! Was very late bein delivered and the customer service was shocking, the girl who answered my phone call was extremely rude needs to learn how to communicate properly!

Only just got a menu through last week and already ordered twice - food was delicious and arrived hot - the burgers & hot dogs are to die for, you get more than enough as well so value for money - would absolutely recommend!

The food was okay. Average to me, nothing I would have cravings for. But to be honest I’ve tried so many places around the area that were way worse than this one

We have ordered a few times over lockdown and I can honestly say it has become one of our favourite takeaway. The food is amazing and it feels very much like an American diner style food. Delivery is really fast. Very reasonably priced for the portion you get and you can upgrade your burgers so you can make your own masterpiece. Brilliant and highly recommend

Ordered twice had pizzas, firat time. Burgers second time. Can't fault them ordered and delivered within 40 mins. In fact first order i wasn't expecting so quick. And the food itself is quality. Freshly made. I've paid alot more for alot less. Definately my go to place for pizza and burgers.

Was very happy with the food. The burgers had lots of taste and the sauces just like on a big mac. Order come a little late but as things are and time of year I was prepared to wait . After 1 phone call it was soon delivered and explained how busy they was. Will use again
