I took my parents to Priscilla’s for afternoon tea yesterday and it was amazing. Tasty fresh sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream and a huge variety of delicious cakes with plentiful cups of tea. The waitress was friendly and the place has a real community feel about it.

When looking for a nice place to grab a quick drink, Priscilla’s tea room is the place to go. Especially when you have small children because it has a play ground next door.I would give the service a solid 7/10 and the product a good 8/10 because it was a bit small. When me and my family went my mum lost her bank card, luckily the staff managed to find it.

Lovely food always, pleasant company but a sad trend that I have noted is that many of the white caucasians workers, who wear the masks see it as an opportunity to insult people of colour - it is a unwelcome trend where people of colour stand out in Sanderstead. I simply informed the blonde waitress - that being kind and polite is to be human! Before midday.

Priscilla's offer a local community shop and takeaway - amazing bread, cakes and you only have to ask and they will seek what you need. During this lockdown they have helped the community and been the centre to help others and a pleasure to collect your takeaway hot drinks and a quick chat. Thank you Priscilla's for all you do .

A remotely delivered a afternoon tea for Father’s Day. Such good value and so enjoyed. Lots of variety and dietary considerations taken into account too! Arrived early! And was well presented. My husband had this as a treat and was so very ‘chuffed’ with the box of treats. Thank you!

Enjoyed a lovely relaxing time in this quaint tearoom. The tea was served in china cups & teapot. The homemade cakes were delicious. We had chocolate sponge cake and a gluten free chocolate cheesecake. They also sell honey, eggs & various bakery loaves of bread. The staff were very friendly & there's was a relaxed atmosphere. They do sell hot snacks which I did not try this time. Will definitely go back for lunch very soon.

I booked Priscilla’s for an afternoon tea for my best friend’s hen weekend. Tim was very helpful throughout the planning, flexible in his approach and accommodated all our requirements. He even managed to squeeze in a few extra guests at the last minute with seemingly no trouble at all. The tea was perfect. Just what we wanted - exclusive hire of a cute and quirky vintage tea rooms, plenty of tasty sandwiches and other savoury snacks, followed by the largest homemade scones I’ve ever seen, lashings of cream & ham and two very delicious Helpings of cakes (one of which a vic sponge as we requested). We also had plenty of tea which Tim and his team constantly topped up and the service was friendly and relaxed, we had everything we needed. All the hens thoroughly enjoyed it and the bride loved it! It was also incredibly good value for money. Tim, I’ll definitely be back and thank you for looking after us all so well! I’d highly recommend this place for events/tea parties as well as a causal drop in visit when you’re in the area.

I am a Nanny working locally and after a particularly trying morning including the breakdown of my car, we came here for some lunch. The lady working was so lovely and so sweet to the children (4 and 2 years old), we had a lovely lunch and she couldnt have done more for us. Thank you and we will see you soon

This is a really unique little coffee shop where we’re always welcomed with a smile and a calm atmosphere. There’s only four tables and a breakfast bar so it’s small but so charming. We’ve only had coffee and cake here but there’s fresh bread, homemade honey and cold drinks. Always recommended!

My daughter in law visited so we popped up to pricillas for lunch wanted to support our local business instead of costa. Pre packed cheese sandwiches and a few cakes were available asked for a salad or ham salad sandwich but assistant seemed very vague so didn't want to be a nuisance so just had coffee and left. I think it's ok if you just want a tea, coffee and cake but not for lunch

On a corner of a huge park with a children playground, I saw Priscilla take form, in the smallest of buildings (really!). A heaven for tea and cakes, organic stuff, free range eggs and honey, plus recently added a range of the most beautiful cakes. Lots of charming little things for the decoration or to buy as a gift. Equally small terrace ;-)

I have had the pleasure of visiting Priscilla's on many occasions and have attended their fabulous community events, had tea and cake and also held my daughters birthday party there. The service is always outstanding and friendly. The cakes are yummy and the food is just as wonderful. The costs are very reasonable and it's a very personalised service. The location is great and the kids love the park. The beauty of it is they can have a run around and then you can grab refreshments without having to leave the park. I love the fact they openly support other local businesses and thanks to Priscilla's I have bought many other wonderful and unique gifts. The owners are truly the nicest people you could meet and as is their staff. 100% commitment to their community. I would give 10 * if I could

I have always been a huge supporter of Priscilla's from the minute I heard finally we would be getting a cafe. They have met many challenges, their biggest Costa opening over the road! Being a tea drinker, I know where I would rather go and have a nice cup of tea in a China cup and saucer and delicious homemade cakes. The whole setting is quirky and traditional and they offer so much more, book club, knitting club, children's craft activities, nightwatch meals, we have had our first christmas light switch on since I've lived here and this year will be their second community day with lots of local businesses. They really are the heart of the community and I encourage everyone to support them as much as they support us.

This tea room supplies teas for sander stead cricket Club. Terrible attitude whoever was employed by them today. To feed 22 players 2 umpires and 2 scorers four trays of quartered sandwiches (the fillings of which was indiscernible) half a tray of sausages and half of mini Scotch eggs, a tray of chicken legs and ribs, a tray of stale scones and cakes is not enough food for 5 let alone 26. And to top it all no milk for a cup of tea - although they did tell me they don't supply the tea. Obviously profit is everything!!

Tiny tearoom by Sanderstead recreation ground but filled with character and delicious cakes and ice cream. They also sell bottles of amazing sauces and (I think) home made jams and chutneys. Definitely worth a visit and a cup of tea.

This place is great for a cup of tea, but it's not great for food. It's just OK. I would suggest they partner with the bakery across the street to supply their bread. I could see the guy making my sandwich with Hovis. If I wanted a cheese on Hovis sandwich I'd do it at home. I'd also suggest they think about how they can maximize space. I like the quirky different tables but it's just too crowded. If they could keep the quirks and find a better arrangement of furniture to maximize space it would be better. The people were very nice though and I wish them well.

The café is so ideally located next to the café, hot drinks in unusual cups and delicious cakes. I haven't been able to visit as much as I would like, but I do love their friendly, caring people who run the café and give so much to the community. I recommend a visit, try it out - it is so much more than the 'coffee shops' in the area.

An old fashioned, independent, privately owned tea room with nice old fashioned decor and menu, great atmosphere, lovely grub and refreshingly different from the other formulaic offerings and the rather self-satisfied Waitrose over the road. You can park in Waitrose and, for parents and grandparents whose kids want to use the playground, almost perfect.

The first issue we had was parking. There was no parking on the same side of the road, but luckily there was one space on the opposite side. Otherwise you can park on a side road. With a baby, that could be quite difficult. However, it is next to a park, so in the summer would be a very good location.

Small, intimate, books to borrow, sandwiches and cake, friendly service. What more could you want. Opposite Costas (where the less descerning people go). Park across the road in the side street or 403 bus from Croydon. Chill out. You will get a warm welcome.

Dull and rainy outside but as soon as you walk in the door the sun comes out. A warm welcome, comfy seats and superb food and drink. I had a French Ham and Cheese toastie. Magic. All around are local things to buy. Produce, crafts and some ideal christmas presents. It's more than a tea room, it's a community service. Walls have lots of interesting local information and charities to help. Please dont ever change.

I was driving through Coulsdon earlier today when I noticed this place. It looked like it was nicely done up and looked very clean. I fancied a coffee but was undecided as to exactly what one but after speaking to Manuele I decided on a latte. I’ve been to all of the mainstream coffee shops but honestly have to say that this latte knocked spots off of all of them. I even felt compelled to see if they have a website, which they do. I can see myself becoming a regular when I am passing. I highly recommend a visit.
