Took family out for dinner, not much on the menu for the kids. Not a great deal for the adults apart from steak and burgers. Advertised a Sunday roast which was available considering its a Sunday. Won't be coming back in a hurry

Dylan served us on Mother’s Day 30th March and we was very impressed! Excellent service and food was decent too! Will definitely come again!

This place is the biggest waste of time ever waited over 40 minutes for food that never arrived I would never recommend this place to anyone it's a joke

I've left no stars as honestly there was nothing to review, we waited for 30 minutes for breakfast that didn't arrived but had all tables arrive and leave around us with no communication from any staff we didn't have an allergies or special requests so no reason for the delay, we felt more like an inconvenience than a welcomed guest very disappointed

Ordered the surf and turf combo with my friend and asked for medium rare and it come out like the cow was still mooing, So either it was blue or rare, That was no medium rare Steak, Also bare in mind the lovely waitress must I say had put our food down and when I started eating my Prawns they were cold, So was my calamari and also my Steak and fries were cold, My mates fries on her plate were cold too, But she don't complain, Also for starters we had 2 x haloumi fries, Which were OK, Chewy haloumi but other then that were standard, Not much flavouring, Also the chicken wings were full of bone and gristle and were not nice at all, Apart from the lovely waitress that served us, That was the worst meal I have ever eaten, Won't be back again and only got £5 off the bill, Which the bill was £81.81, What a rubbish birthday meal that was 😡 Also then my mate went to go eat her burger and look at it, It don't even look cooked, My mate can't eat burgers that are raw looking, She took it for takeaway and it ended up in the bin looking like that, Waste of money this place

An average experience. Our order was not queued up, however the floor manager was appropriately apologetic regarding our 50m wait, and did provide free drinks. The food was okay, though my chicken was burned in places. A bit too chargrilled. It was all hot and portion sizes were good. Desserts were very tasty. A mixed bag, although I would dine here again

Very slow roast dinner had no taste.

Popped in for a Sunday roast dinner. The toilets were absolutely disgusting one toilet had feces smeared on the rim of the toilet and the other toilet was blocked to the rim and full of wee and toilet paper. They should of been closed off and cleaned. There young woman that was working behind the bar, was so rude and full of attitude while ordering a few drinks. No greeting no hello no thank you. just would you want. As I paid she turned around to her colleagues and was laughing and joking with him like I weren't even there. The manager on that day should be ashamed of himself because that was the most disgusting beefeater's I've ever been to my life and I've been going to them for years. Fix facilities and train your staff to conduct customer service.

I can't lie. There's only 2 things that let me down. Mainly the service. We ordered food and it took about an hour to come out. Which was very slow in my opinion. Tho we struggled getting ahold of staff. And the food tasted great but I wish their was more for what I paid for. A small burger and a few fries is pretty bad for what what I paid for it.

Beefeaters grill the best! You need to try the 74 Rack of Pork Ribs. Excellent service from Roxy tonight. She was brilliant.

We come here often and always get the grilled beef. For the low price it offers fairly high quality. If you register for the loyalty program, you get discounts that make choosing this restaurant even more convenient. We were served by Roxy who was very kind and patient with us.

Standard beefeater restaurant. Nice setting next to the park. Food was nice and kids menu had some really nice options

Service was very slow, food was cold, gravy had the skin stirred in. Food was returned to the kitchen and then given back to us after being reheated. I know it was the same food as the gravy was dried on the plate. We will not be returning to this restaurant again.

The place is really clean but the service was really slow, you see meals sitting on the counter for a long time before being served to customers, the food is standard as with all beefeater but tasty

For a chain restaurant, was pleasantly surprised by the quality of Sunday Dinner. Mine was the meat alternative option, but mum went for a well done roast beef, and brother opted for the medium done roast beef, plus cheesy cauliflower cheese. Cracking!

Had a lovely full English breakfast this morning. The food was fresh, hot, and well presented. The waitress, Bobbie, was polite, friendly and the service was amazing. I will definitely visit this venue regularly as I was extremely impressed with my visit. Thank you for a great start to my day.

Visited with dogs and was told that there are customers so we are not allowed in with dogs. Yet there is no information about whether dogs are allowed or not.

Use Beefeater a lot in different towns, this one wasn't the best but not the worst either. Choice of breakfast let it down

Our experience here was absolutely terrible. Despite only five occupied tables, we were completely ignored by our server, Bobbie. She was rude and dismissive, more interested in setting up for breakfast and chatting with another table than actually serving us. It was frustrating to sit waiting while she made no effort to acknowledge us. The service was atrocious—we even had to get up and ask for the bill. The food was just as bad. The calamari was a tiny portion, dripping with oil, and unappetizing. The chips were cold, and when we asked for fresh ones, it took 10 minutes—and another 5 just to get some sauce! The rest of the food was also cold, making the experience worse. The next day, we were greeted by a manager, ‘Sofia’, who was chewing gum loudly while talking—completely unprofessional. She took our drinks order, but the Sprite we received had clearly run out of syrup and tasted like sparkling water. We waited 30 minutes for a replacement, only for it to be exactly the same. When we brought it up, she snapped, ‘What do you want me to do about it?’ and snatched the drink off the table. The food that day was mediocre at best—better pub grub can be found anywhere in Bedford. By dessert, I had to walk over to Sofia myself because she hadn’t checked on us once and was actively avoiding us. Beefeater desperately needs to train its staff. We ate here for an entire week (as we were staying next door), and the service got worse every day. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid this place at all costs if you value decent service or basic courtesy.

I came 2 the beefeater in Bedford @ priory marina on the 12th of January 2025 & my waiter whose name was Dylan performed better than anybody that I've dealt with in the last 3 hrs, great service, very polite & curious & highly professional in the way he conducted himself, I was highly impressed. Christmas Day menu. Bernard Matthews frozen turkey. Whole meal apart from carrots and Brussels was frozen. Iceland profiteroles. 2.5 hrs at the table for the meal. Choices already made but the service was slow. You don’t expect the world at a place like this but this was worse than disappointing on Christmas Day.

Xmas dinner experience We where booked for 3.15pm xmas dinner. Where seated in the bar area as we arrived 5-10mims earlier. We waited until 3.45pm to be seated. We where asked for drinks which felt like it took forever for 2 pepsi's and 2 fantas. Our first course arrived well gone half 4. Few pawns and lots of veg. First impressions not good. Between course again another half hour wait. Main course xmas turkey was hard vegetables over cooked spuds hard stuffing balls and 4 waffer thin turkey slices with a splash of gravy. Desert was fine if I'm honest. But when we prepayed for our meals there was a option for a hot drink and mince pie after Desert. Which we was informed wasn't including in the price we payed. Wise they would of pointed this out when we filled the reorder forms.( I later looked into this and it did state on the xmas menu a complementary hotdrink and mince pie) we where told it would cost extra ... Over all experience 2/10 will not return the following year.

Christmas day meal booked 6 weeks in advance for 12pm. Table for 4. Starters were delicious and came out quite quickly. Main course came out within 30 mins. 3 correct meals, one incorrect. This caused absolute confusion in the kitchen and took 15 mins to bring out the correct meal while 3 other people at the table had to eat theirs. Even though they knew the meals we were having and was confirmed when we first sat down. A manager, Lee, even came over to double check what we had ordered even though we had been asked how we wanted the steak cooked! The vegetables were undercooked, Brussels had to be sawn in half, barely any gravy, the stuffing ball was like a piece of rock, cabbage was like Lettuce, steak burnt to a crisp and was completely black and could not be eaten as couldn't even cut it! They did give us complimentary drinks for the mistake. But then had to wait over 45 minutes for desserts and had to ask twice for them. Dessert was nice. No coffee, mince pies or shot of whiskey that we paid for. Dylan our server was so lovely. He was attentive, apologetic and a conscientious young man and we felt so sorry for him as every table in our area were complaining about something. In stark contrast, Lee, apparently one of the managers, was rude, condescending, unapologetic and shouldn't be in customer service. Overall, we paid £260 for 4 people and the quality didn't reflect the cost. They over promised, and underwhelming under delivered! We won't be going there for Christmas dinner again. Bad management and organisation.

Four of us for breakfast last week, it was superb in every way service (Agnes) food was second to none, maybe coffee machine was a slight let down but you can't get a better breakfast for at that value£11

Nice location and good quality food

I visited here on the 11th December with my wife and we decided to have the festive menu. The staff were very good and were very pleasant. The starters we had were very nice but the main course, turkey roast, was very disappointing. The yorkshire pudding was a small frozen one, the pig in blanket was burnt, and the frozen roast potatoes were hard. There was a teaspoon full of cabbage and the 3 brussel sprouts were totally shrivelled up and soggy. The stuffing ball had a hard crust on the outside The only thing that was nice on the main course was the turkey which was moist and flavoursome. As the table wasn't booked until 7.30pm we decided to eat it and leave anyway as they were starting to clear up and get ready for breakfast in the morning, including hoovering the carpet behind us. I would say it was the worst Christmas dinner I had ever had, probably made worst by the fact we had been really looking forward to it.

I and mine wife were there. Great service and polite staff all around. Served by Dylan, he was attentive to our needs as well as following up at the right times. Great Eatery and definitely going back.

We had a 50% off voucher which is why we went here. VERY limited menu now - no wonder they’re shutting. Normal menu has about one or two options for burgers etc and the Christmas menu which sounded good but of course not 50% off! The chicken option on the Christmas menu had a crab sauce etc which none of liked. Stuck to the roast beef. Stuffing was so rock hard we couldn’t eat it. Service was very slow and we felt like we were ignored. Had to keep asking. We had the chocolate orange sundae, which we ordered with our main and took nearly 20 minutes to come out. Some of the party left as they didn’t order a dessert and got fed up waiting. When we left, there was no thank you for coming. No acknowledgment as we went. Never again will we visit.

Has to be the worst meal I have had this year. A tough bit of meat supposed to be ribeye but sure it was not. garnished with half a tomato two button mushrooms and some chips the waitress remarked as she walked away it happens she obviously didn't care.

Breakfast with Agnes was a real treat. The food was delicious – fresh eggs, crispy bacon, and warm croissants. But what made it special was Agnes herself. She took great care in making sure we were comfortable and happy, always checking in and anticipating our needs. Her warmth and attention turned a simple meal into a lovely experience. Highly recommend starting your day with breakfast from Agnes!

I was an amazing time there where everything was clean and tidy, and the food was wonderful, which was recommended by someone called dilan.

Food was excellent however our waitress got the order wrong and when other members of our table got their roast dinner, there were parts of the dinner which were missing. Atmosphere was a bit dead, which was worrying because they got our food wrong when they didn't have many people there. Food was amazing though just shame about the issue with the order.

We went for breakfast yesterday morning, we were served by Agnes, who was very welcoming and nothing was to much for her although it was very busy and there only appeared to be one other staff member on the floor.

They had no steak and no chicken available which doesn't leave much to choose from on the menu of a steakhouse. We were only informed of this at the point of ordering.

What a lovely way to start the day with an unlimited breakfast. Great range of fruits, breads, cakes, yogurt, pancakes and more … then the star of the show it was a great breakfast. Sausage was lovely ! The only thing which stopped this being a 5 was that the black pudding need slightly longer in the pan but I still enjoyed it. Juices and latte were fab. Next time I’m in the area this is where I’ll be for breakfast as it did not disappoint! Would recommend everyone to eat here. Staff were very friendly, and it’s a great well looked after place.

I have been here on several occasions and have always enjoyed my meal but Sunday was another level I ordered a beef roast I had 3 small slices of beef and one of them was the end and full of fat I wouldn't have fed it to my dog !I called the waiter a young lad who I jave to say was ver apologetic and offered to replace it he came back with another piece of small beef which still didn't look great , I can honestly say I felt I got the last dregs of the Sunday roast , very very disappointed I should of complained to management, but I did not as didn't want to cause a scene .

We regularly have breakfast at the Beefeater, and it’s always a great experience. The English breakfast options are consistently very good, with everything cooked to perfection. A special shoutout to Agnes, who is an excellent waitress. She’s always friendly, attentive, and ensures we have everything we need. Her warm and efficient service is one of the reasons we keep coming back. Highly recommend!

Had to get up and ask for service after waiting 30minutes just for drinks order to be taken despite waiter walking past us, even making eye contact with him numerous times he wasn’t getting the hint - a seated table, menus down and heads up would indicate a table is ready to order! Food was horrible and had missing items from each dish. It was so clear the restaurant did not care about you one bit and acted as if they were doing you a favour by serving you. To top off such a waste of time & money spent at this place we discovered they had over charged us, when questioning the waitress she came up with some stupid reason why we’ve been charged for 3 extra sides! Asked to speak with the manager and he corrected the waitress and refunded us with an apology. We have never stepped foot back in that place again and never will.

Arrived without booking and so glad I did, 1st I went to the toilet, we'll it's the dirtiest toilet I have ever seen, there was excrement on the floor, and the toilet seats were all filthy, the hall leading to the toilets is carpeted but filthy, there's a staff only door to maybe a store room, the bottom of it is also filthy, I think the cleaner is afraid to go down there, seriously this place is a definite health Hazzard, I decided to find somewhere else to eat, it's a dirty disgusting filthy hole.

We went out as a family of 4 for a fantastic meal, the service was outstanding with a outstanding waiter named as rozanne. 10 out of 10.

Great service, even brought out refills without asking! The food and drinks came really quick and we even got seated sooner than expected! Certainly will be coming back! Server was Bobbie. Friendly, not pushy, attentive and definitely knows customer service and her job well.

We enjoyed a family visit to celebrate our daughters birthday. Service was excellent and Callum looked after us very professionally. The steaks were superb and whilst the restaurant wasnt busy there was a good atmosphere. We will return!

A fabulous place to go! The staff are really attentive and caring, making it a fantastic place to enjoy with friends or family at any time of day. Make sure you have a voucher as it’s not worth paying the full price. Service was OK but not great, my meal was not as ordered and the potatoes and veg were still raw.
