Princess Victoria Kensington in Kensington and Chelsea

The pub was closed for refurbishment when we came there. They will open in August maybe. Remove it from booking.

We walked one mile from our hotel to dine there. The food sounded like it would be perfect. However, it was closed. Not sure how our reservation got confirmed! Does Open Table automatically confirm if time slot is available? Seems like someone should be overseeing this process!

We had our reservation confirmed, but when we got there it was closed, with a sign that said "sorry for the inconvenience". Nobody ever called us to say that they were going to be closed. I won't book there again

Food was very poor, tasted straight out of the freezer. Waste of £17.

The owner was rather abrupt and unfriendly, although the place was not very busy at all. There were 2 customers only present before I brought in a group of 20. I've booked the place 3 weeks in advance, yet they seemed unprepared because the food was so slow to arrive.

Croquetas are spectacular. Food in general is really nice and tasty. We had a good time and will come back for sure.

We had several tapas, cheese platter, beer and water. Sat outdoors. Tad bit of traffic outdoors, but not bad. Tapas were good but not speciall best were the grilled sardines we had. Patatas bravas decent. Grilled garlic shrimp were food in an excellent garlic sauce. Catalan bread with tomatoes really needed grilling as fairly soggy. Cheese decent. Everything well overpriced for the area and for London, particularly the cheese platter at £16.50, given it was good but not special. Overall, decent meal, but very overpriced for what one can get in London.

The drinks and service were beyond amazing. Good food and good value. Would recommend for a light lunch or dinner ! Wonderful will be back again.

This place is amazing I feel like I have spent weeks at a time here. The service is very quick and polite and the food is unique and delicious. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a night out or a party.

Visité este bar, cuando era la hora feliz, y el barman nos dijo que era, vino, cerveza, cócteles, compre uno y llévese otro gratis, así que pedimos 2 vasos de rosa, los bebimos y volvimos al bar, a buscar nuestro gratis, solo para saber que la rosa no estaba incluida, sin embargo, el barman fue quien recomendó la rosa australiana, por lo que el costo de las 2 copas fue de 18. 80, si nos hubieran dicho que la rosa no estaba incluida, tendríamos una casa blanca, o alguna otra, se siente como si hubiéramos sido estafados

Staying in the neighborhood, this place was recommend by a local. The mussels were delicious, beet salad too. Decent prices and cool neighborhood vibe.

Fantastic place in London. Would like to say thank you manager Suzie, who organise friends birthday. Reality nice atmosphere, food was amazing and selection of drinks perfect. As we where in the area we tried this cosy place. We were very lucky, as we enter the place we were received by the owner. From the first moment she make us feel like at home. The choices of tapas and disches are great and the food was really nice.We tried some of the tapas. For me the hits were the padron peppers, croqttas and the grilled octopus, nice presented and tasty,although for my guests their favourites were others.I couldn't eat more but I always order a dessert and the sticky toffe pudding were a really good choice.One of my guest had the Sunday roast and was delicious.after this experince we went back 2 more times and it was always good.especial mention of the ownner always with a smile in her face and reallyattentive

We are living for a year in London and this was the worst experience ever since. After waiting 30 minutes for the food it was barely eatable. The garlic chicken was so dry (fried to death) almost not cheable. The catalan bread was 5 little pieces of bread, not even toasted, for GBP 6.-. And the Octopus for almost GBP 10.- was half of a little tentacle of an octopus, burned from one side and glibbery from the other. As we were very hungry we ate it anyway, but we said we are not happy. 2 glasses of wine (ordered and paid 2 large glasses, careful they give you less than that) for GBP 9.- each, Sauvignon was so bad, couldn´t drink it. Manager had an extremely arrogant attitude. Actually I didn´t want to say anything in the beginning, but it was really really bad and French table next to ours were also not happy at all. Very expensive for what you are getting. The only positive was the Italian waiter who worked there for just 2 days. He was the reason I paid the Service charge, I would normally not have paid for this terrible experience. The manager should get some lessons from him how to treat guests. We are local to this place and will warn everybody to avoid. This is not Spanish food and not Spanish hospitlity.

We found Princess Victoria Kensington very accommodating for a any type of private event (bday party, Xmas party, work events) Suzie - the manager really create an ambience with fantastic tapas and big variety of drinks (great gin menu!) highly recommended !!!!

Siempre existe la preocupación de que cuando se hacen pedidos en masa de un menú fijo, la comida será mediocre. Este definitivamente no fue el caso.Todo el grupo de 30 lo pasamos de maravilla y no dudo en recomendar un almuerzo o cena privados. Mención especial a los fabulosos chefs!

Éramos 21 personas aquí, celebrando el 60 cumpleaños de mi madre. Buena comida y un gran ambiente hicieron la celebración perfecta. Puedo recomendar encarecidamente el menú de tapas, ya que tiene algo para todos (sin embargo, debería haber incluido albondigas). Lovely hidden gem! Short walk from Ken High St station. Friendly, efficient service, lovely food and great option of tapas or regular mains. Decent veggie options too! Definitely recommend.

Really great venue close to Kensington High St. Booked for pre show meal as attending concert at RAH. Lovely proper tapas. Not many places do proper tapas but this one does and the selection was great and came to table just as we wanted it. Very happy.

Mixing a pub w authentic Spanish tapas? YES! Princess Victoria has done it perfectly. The octopus is always done perfectly and the padron peppers are delicious. But the real specialty is the attentive, friendly staff. While tapas is at the fore, their Sunday roast is tops for traditional pub fare. Try it, you’ll be glad you did...tell them ‘Chris said to stop in’

Had our first dinner in London after our International flight. Walked about 15 from our S.Kensington Hotel, nice neighborhood, lots of locals around. Place is cozy and homey, we felt welcomed and unhurried and could really relax here. Our server was friendly and chatted w us for a bit. We love tapas, as it’s my ideal way to eat. No commitment to large dishes, opportunity to taste a variety of items and if u love something you can just order another portion. Prices were very reasonable here. We did not order drinks as we planned a pub for later. Got a cheese/cured meats platter, it had a lot of items and was big enough to share. Really good grilled prawns, octopus which we both love, few other tapas I can’t now remember but all were super yummy. Devoured every bite, no room for dessert.

Found this by pure chance and am so happy I did. We got there with a group of 16 for work and some different constraints. Everyone was catered to and take into account. The food was amazing and very fresh! The owner is so very passionate about the service and place. It is great!!

Happy hour from 5-7pm was a really great deal (2 for the price of 1), and the cocktails were delicious! However, the tapas was a bit lackluster, and small for the price. The chorizo and the salt and pepper squid were the best we had, the pork bites were tough and unpleasant.

We had planned a traditional pub Sunday lunch with a roast. Ended up by chance at the Princess Victoria. It is primarily a Spanish tapas bar but does serve roasts on Sunday. Portions however are huge and I barely made it through 50% of my plate. That said the food quality was excellent but it was a Sunday roast with a continental twist.

What a fun place. They have a variety of beer and hard ciders. The variety of tapas is wonderful. We had a cheese platter for 3 people. We each had small plates. Try the meatballs. The burgers are good as well as the fish and chips.

We have seen the Princess Victoria pub in several iterations over the years, but its latest guise as a tapas bar is our favourite so far. Very friendly and helpful service, great dishes. I would recommend the chorizo croquetas and the amazing tortilla

Very upscale with sleek decor. My companion commented that the drinks menu was a work of art, and I have to say, the cocktail I choose was the most beautifully presented I had ever seen and tasted as fantastic as it looked. The staff accommodated us (without reservations) so graciously. We were seated within 15 minutes but we were expecting a 1 hour wait. Food was excellent. Highly recommended.

Visited Princess Victoria for some authentic tapas food on a Monday night. We were not disappointed! A fabulous selection of dishes on the menu, and a warm welcome from Susie as soion as we entered.

I hosted an event for 20 people in their upstairs function room which was perfect for the occasion. We did a 'pub quiz' so they organised 3 tables of 5 with a projector (£30 to hire), and arranged a tapas buffet £12pp which was excellent quality and very generous portions! Susie helped me organise the event, taking in all the criteria,layout and timings. This was then passed on to Natalia was extremely helpful on the night making sure everything went to plan and ran like clockwork even when still running the main bar downstairs. The only downside to the space was that there was no door between the upstairs function room and the downstairs bar so you could hear the noise from downstairs which did impact some people's hearing of the presentations but not to be helped. All in all a great venue, perfect for simple informal events such as training events or quiz nights. I would recommend and use again.

Booked the upstairs room for a significant birthday event for 25 guests. Tapas were excellent and plentiful and the service was faultless, but most of all Susie's enthusiasm made everything easy and ensured the evening was great success. Highly recommended.

I visited Princess Victoria Kensington in April. The food was delicious and the portions were good. We had 6 dishes based on Susie’s recommendation and this was about right.

Local precioso con un ambiente muy agradable. Susi muy amable, servicio estupendo. La cena muy rica y con buena presentación, nos gusto la variación de legumbres en cada plato. La carta es más bien reducida pero con gran variedad para todos los gustos

Had a great time at the Princess Victoria. We sampled some great wines. I loved the Quatro Pasos. We had delicious tapas. And the evening was topped off with some great Spanish music. This event happens the first Friday of the month but the food is just as tasty every day. A hidden gem in Kensington.

Exactly what a friend & I were looking for with a 4 hour window for brunch. The tapas was amazing, the wine was exceptional & Suzie was the best! I'd go out of my way to go here again. Little gem of a place.

It had a lot of good reviews, so we went with high expectations. The food was disappointing. I had a spiced seafood spaghetti, and there was absolutely no spice at all in the dish and only two prawns. Felt a bit cheated. Otherwise it was a nice place to eat.

This was a very pleasant surprise, I had friends to stay and I wanted something close by. The service was so friendly and helpful. Food very good and the atmosphere really nice, will definitely return.

I took my colleagues here for a meal after the event at Olympia. It was the best meal we have ever had and such good fun! We now wish all of our events landed on the first Friday of every month just so we can attend the wine and tapas night! Great fun, great food and great value! thank you :)

Torneremo sicuramente seconda stella a destra.

Tuvimos el placer de cenar aquí un sábado por la noche concurrida. La camarera fue muy atenta incluso con una casa casi llena. La comida era deliciosa y nuestra factura terminó un poco alta de 100 incluyendo una botella de vino. Había un evento nocturno para solteros en el piso de arriba, así que había un poco de ruido extra que podría ser un poco molesto para algunos. En definitiva, definitivamente volveríamos. Recomendado.

Una vez que ingresé, noté a una mujer en un atuendo deportivo en una mesa que pensé que era una camarera, pero escuché su conversación con otra persona en un inglés roto y me di cuenta de que ella era la dueña. Esta mujer tiene un bajo nivel de experiencia y conocimientos de servicio al cliente: otras dos mesas se dejaron sucias y sin aclarar, incluida la mesa en la que estaba sentada, y no me preguntaron cómo me iba durante la comida. Elegí el pescado y las papas fritas suponiendo que no se equivocaran, pero adivinen qué: basura y demasiado caro. Ojalá hubiera aparecido en otro lugar. La mayoría de nosotros no nos importa el dinero, esperamos un buen anfitrión y una comida decente. Ciao!

We were lucky enough to secure a booking to hold our Christmas Party this year at the Princess Victoria. From moment I approached them I knew that this would be a memorable party. From the decorating, menu planning, drinks and canapés on arrival - everything was organised and Susi and her team were always willing to liaise with me about what I wanted both leading up to and on the night of the event with great flexibility and professionalism. I recovered a number of outstanding reviews and feedback in relation to the venue, drinks, food, atmosphere and comments about her friendly staff were made my many of my coworkers. I can not could not thank Susi enough for her hard work and input in making our Christmas party this year so memorable. Thank you and Merry Christmas to everyone working and involved at the Princess Victoria!

After spending some time at the Design Museum, my friends and I were looking for somewhere to grab a drink and some food. We did a quick search and found this place and we're so glad we did. The ladies behind the bar were incredibly sweet and took amazing care of us. The drinks selection is great and the food was amazing. Tempted as we were by a roast, we opted for the tapas and weren't disappointed. The place was busy but that just added to a great vibe and you could tell that the people that work there enjoy doing- talk about service with a smile. Definitely a place I'll visit again!

I recently attended Princess Victoria for a pre-Christmas dinner with about 30 friends. The staff were great at accommodating such a big group. We had a beautiful private room upstairs and the food was delicious. The tapas is authentic and the manager was a delight. Would highly recommend esp if you are trying to find a place for a big group!

We rented out the private room upstairs for a large group of us for Christmas party, and the staff were so accommodating and helpful! The room was decorated for us beforehand, we had prosecco on arrival and they were extremely attentive on the evening. Susie the manager was particularly friendly and helped everything run smoothly. The food was also delicious, with tapas-style sharing starters, followed by full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings! Great value for money, will definitely be returning :)

We booked through Open Table but upon arrival found that, despite us having a confirmation, the restaurant had no record of our reservation. Seems that they had a private function and had not blocked out the restaurant properly on their system. The offered us a tiny table for three people (we were a party of 5). They suggested we waited and offered us a free drink. All very well, but we had a theatre booking so coudn’t wait. We asked to see the manager (also the co-owner) and when she came she was immediately defensive and rude, as if the issue was our fault. She was completely unapologetic, had no solution for us and started shouting and pointing in our faces. At that time, we had no other solution so said that we would eat at the bar and would welcome the drink they had offered at which point, she astoundingly accused us of trying to get things for free. Needless to say we walked out. Luckily Melabes around the corner was able to accommodate us and we enjoyed a delicious meal there instead.

Good food and nice place only downside was the table next to us was noisey. Enjoyed our evening and catered for our friend who is gluten intolerant.

We were all in London for the Eagles game and this seemed like a good place for a group of 6 with different taste buds. It was a very good spot for friends and family with variety of tastes all good.

Ehhhhhhhj drinks were good. We ordered the seleccion de panes y olivas (bread and olives) along with the albondigas de ternera (meatballs “cooked” in white wine sauce with potatoes).

A friend suggested this bar for a few drinks and I'm so pleased they did. It's got a great atmosphere and a really good selection of drinks. I'd highly recommend one of the gourmet gin and tonics. Stayed for some of the tapas food and it was very tasty without being too expensive. Service is good and Susi is a great host.

I had a delicious meal here whilst on business in London. The pub had a very relaxed atmosphere. It is a little on the pricey side but it is in Kensington. They do a glass of House Wine or Sangria & 3 Tapas dishes deal which was around £25.

We have eaten here before and we were 100% happy but on this visit the portions we less than half thr size than our previous visit but the prices were the same. We ordered from the tapas menu and we were very disapointed especially the crispy pork which wasn&#039;t crispy and also the &quot;gambas&quot; There were very few prawns and not very large as the name suggests. Finally a VERY expensive wine list. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and service during our meal. It was the choice of music which we know you can’t cater for everyone but it wasn’t great and the volume was extremely too much considering we were sat upstairs. We noted an acoustic guitar rather than an electric performance would have been much more suited to the size and atmospherics of the place. <br /><br />But we absolutely loved the food and the staff 10/10 and will definitely be returning, thank you for a great meal.

The food was great, friendly staff and a lovely setting. They might want to consider some background music as it was too quiet, not really an atmosphere which was a shame! We were on a date but it didn’t feel special at all.
