Prince of Wales Bracknell in Bracknell Forest

Here in Bracknell for the weekend so thought we would visit the Prince of Wales Pub and try the Thai menu after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. The staff were lovely and all of the food served was delicious. We will certainly return if we are in the area and only wish this was closer to home.

I can't recommend the food highly enough, it's always delicious, especially the spring rolls and the chicken volcano. The service is always excellent, staff are lovely, value for money is brilliant and the pub is spotless. I have been a number of times and always enjoyed the food and service. Don't waste your money going to the Giggling Squid, this is far better.

Tasty Thai food, beer on tap and friendly staff and all for a reasonable price. What more could you want.

Great little place divided into a thai restaurant and pub. Access to both by central corridor and garden area, so easy to move between both if needed. Came for a drink with the brother-in-law a few months ago as was in between us and walk able, played some pool and darts, and now come regularly. Have tried the food menu extensively and can recommend most of the dishes. Great quality food, good selection and clear menu, well flavored and able to make special requests. My faves are the Red Thai Curry and Pad Thai. Most dishes are a perfect size, some you need to order rice or noodles with but are worth it. Their specials menu hold some real treats so try them too. The garden area is great for dining or socializing. Good size area, setup well for smokers and non-smokers to use together, plenty of comfy seats and shelter if wanted, easy to access and well presented. Inside bar area is well setup for bar stools, benches, a pool table, darts area and smaller tables with bar stools distributed for patrons to move as needed. A juke box and two fruit machines are also located here if that is your thing too, great selection of music on the juke box. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially when they know you and bend over backwards to make your visit enjoyable and above expectations to their best abilities. All-in-all a nice tucked away gem that needs the word spreading.

This place doesn't have enough reviews, we moved to bracknell last year and this has been out go to Thai. We love that it's informal in a pub. The food is always fresh and authentic. The staff are really nice aswell. Definately recommend. It's really nice that they do an English menu, ie: if you want to come as a family and have fussy kids, you can still enjoy a Thai and they can still eat! Winner!

no understanding of gluten free come for a meal and had no idea of what on the menu contains gluten etc only 3 items and I felt that plain rice would be gluten-free or rice noodles No proper understanding of this intolerance Very sad

We have been here many times and found the food has been consistent in its high quality and has never disappointed. This place is a real gem with delicious Thai food. The chef is certainly gifted. We are looking forward to our next visit I don’t know about the previous reviewer. Maybe she is used to visiting Tangs or similar?

I was on holiday and I really wanted to eat thai food so googled near restaurants. Found one with what looked like a very good 5 stars restaurant. I checked reviews and this one looked very good and I thought it might be worth paying that much. Unfortunately, it was not! My experience was absolutely awful. Traveled 20 mins each way expecting very good food. I paid twice as much as I would normally pay for takeaway, portions were half the size that you can normally get, and the taste wasn't great either. except for helpful lads behind the bar, there was nothing good about ordering food from there despite reviews I have read which must more likely be very old.

This is a great restaurant within a pub in Bracknell. Food is delicious, authentic and tasty. Service was attentive and kind. Great price. Love this place!

Been lucky enough tonsat in some fabulous Thai restaurants. This is a hidden gem. We have a least one meal there when we visit Bracknell. I better not say too much or we won't get a table on our next visit. Lol

Table for 7 no problem food very good however service was very slow. Also a little unorganised not enough menus along with. Long wait for drinks. Would visit again as food was very good

Been to The Prince of Wales restaurant pub a couple of times now and enjoyed the food, drinks and service too. Would recommend it.

I was concerned about the quality of food but we were pleasantly surprised about the food. We love Thai food and this is an excellent restaurant with great food to offer. Keep up with the good job as we want to visit again soooon!

The food here is very delicious. Thai taste. I recommend Pla seafood,Nam Tok Neua and Sues Rong Hai. I love it and will comeback again

What a find! By far, the best Thai I have ever tasted. Cooked to perfection, every single mouthful was so delicious. Staff are so lovely and hospitable and service was fast and efficient. A real gem. Finally we have a proper authentic Thai in Bracknell....

Nice thia, but lacks the real ingredients, like real potatoes instead of tinned potatoes, so it is more like an English Thai meal, it could be better

Searched for somewhere to eat whilst staying overnight in Bracknell and came across this place on TripAdvisor So my wife and I decided to give it a go.Excellent warm welcome from bar-staff and an excellent pint of ale.We ordered our food and was blown away by the flavour and service.If ever we are back in area we will definitely be coming back. Gutted there's not anything as good in our area Thank you

Always a warm welcome, a lovely relaxed atmosphere and nothing’s ever too much trouble, making the service five star.The food is amazing - freshly cooked, authentic, full of flavour, generous in size and piping hot. Can recommend the gyoza (chicken dumplings), the tamarind duck and the kang massaman (mild curry with onions and potatoes).Excellent value for money.Tables are socially distanced and there are wipes and hand sanitiser on every table.

My daughter and I popped in for lunch after reading trip advisor reviews. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive as were the bar staff. The food was excellent and I would highly recommend it. The portion sizes were substantial and you certainly won’t leave hungry.

Oh my goodness we have found a gem!! Came up from Northolt for a spa Thai Food at its absolute finest...Never have we tasted a menu so dam goooood... Wow Wow Wow.. We found a gem in Bracknell 5* ... no 10* Pub owner was so hospitable, friendly and handsome... tooo young for me.. drat!!!! Chef was 25yrs old and his mother served us. Had to grab a picture with them... we girls were in awe‍‍

Words cannot describe how the food was. This is the first restaurant I have been to with friends and everything was perfect. The staff are very friendly. The food was piping hot, salad crunchy the sauces oh my goodness guys you have to try for yourself. The toilet nice and clean blah blah, but back to the food.... I ordered prawn toast and pad Thai noodles, we had to call the chef to tell him thanks. I almost ate the plate. The homemade apple crumble took the biscuits. I will most certainly be back with everyone I know. . This restaurant smashed it, maximum marks including price. Looking forward to next visit.

First time out since shielding with my mum. We went out as a bubble in our family. Couldn’t rate it higher. Great welcome and explanation of procedure. Everything was so clean, hand sanitiser AND wipes on the tables in surplus. Toilets were spotless. Service brilliant. Food amazing. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you

Ordered takeaway (collection) for the first time tonight; it was fresh, fragrant and delicious! This will be the only place that we go to for local Thai food from now. Well worth the car ride. I had the chicken pad Thai and it was 10/10. Husband had the gyoza, chicken wings, spring rolls and egg noodles, all of which he said tasted great.

It was the first time we had visited here. It’s a really clean and friendly environment. Our waitress was friendly and greeted us with a warm smile. We ordered some wine which was lovely. Then we ordered the following dishes: Vegetarian spring rolls, Tempura Prawns, Pad Thai with Prawns and Beef Nasi Goreng. The food was delicious and very flavoursome. I wanted to try and squeeze a dessert but was so full from the starters and mains. Our waitress was fantastic and overall the best Thai restaurant I have had in years! Will definitely come again!

After looking on website for a Thai Restaurant checked reviews all good. Travelled over 10mins from hotel with my two kids to be told it wasn’t child friendly.

Great food, friendly service and smells divine. My husband is a huge fan of pad Thai and so that’s exactly what we ordered and my god, it was delicious! It tasted authentic straight from Thailand. Highly recommended. What a find!

Consistently great food, even with a change of chef the quality and taste hasn’t faltered, if anything it is better! My favourite is the red thai curry but equally all the food we have ordered has been delicious. The owners and all staff are very welcoming and friendly, I can’t recommend enough!

I have to say when a mate said come on we're off for lunch, and it's Thai and it's in a pub in bracknell..... I was suspicious. He'd eaten here several times already. The pub is great, again I haven't been to the pub before, nice layout and plenty of choice. We hadn't booked a table which I probably will do next time, purely because it fit quite busy. I started with chicken saute which was lovely, followed by chicken green Thai curry which was excellent. Great place, great food, will definitely be back and recommend.

Managed to get a table booked last minute as my wife and I wanted to try the Thai Restaurant, in the Prince of Wales and we were not disappointed. Atmosphere upon entering was warm and friendly and staff very attentive to our needs, including letting us order from the main menu, when they had a set menu, for Valentines.Starters ordered:Gai Satay (Marinated chicken satay with mixed leaves and peanut sauce) and Gyoza (Dumplings filled with minced chicken, served with mixed leaves and sweet, light soy sauce)Both dishes above light in texture with fresh ingredients cooked to perfection by the chef and were an absolute delight to savour. Mains OrderedNasi goreng (Thai fried rice with cucumber and tomatoes, topped with an egg and served with a salad garnish) and Pad Thai (Thai rice noodles, stir fried with egg, spring onions, carrots and bean sprouts)Both dishes beautifully presented. Perfect light fluffy rice, with a little kick to it, but not overboard and the fried egg added the final touch to an already delightful dish. Thai rice noodles along with the fresh beansprouts etc and chicken was sweet, without being overly so and my wife very much enjoyed the fresh ingredients used and ate quite a good portion even though she doesn't have the biggest appetite, which for us is a sign of excellent food.Pudding we opted for was traditional Apple Crumble and we were both delighted with them, as they were perfectly cooked, with a light crumble topping and cooked apple for us, just the way we like them.The restaurant staff are very attentive, food is expertly cooked to order and all ingredients good quality and fresh. We would highly recommend the Restaurant to everyone as the food is delightful and ambience is very relaxed and makes you feel at home. Bar Area had live music from Charlie who was very talented and the Bar staff and Management, were extremely friendly to my wife and I and our drinks ordered, were fulfilled promptly and with a smile. My wife and I rarely stay after meals in restaurant, but we literally ended up spending the whole evening and met some wonderful people, whilst there. Couldn't be happier today and my wife is still smiling this morning. We would like to extend our thanks to all the staff last night and management both in the Restaurant and Bar for their warm welcome to the Prince of Wales, Food was beautifully cooked and the welcome couldn't have been friendlier. We both thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening, spent at the Prince of Wales and entertainment courtesy of Charlie, perfect for the occasion.

Every dish I've tried has been amazingly tasty! I highly recommended this place for top quality Thai food. Also a great selection of drinks & the staff are always welcoming.

We discovered this restaurant last April and have been back several times since. Service is consistently fantastic and the staff are always very welcoming. The food here has always been amazing - freshly cooked, authentic and full of flavour. We didn’t think it could get any better but, with a new chef in October/November and an extended menu, the food is now to die for! Would definitely recommend the Kang Massaman and the Gai Phat Mamuang Himmaparn. As always, excellent value for money. We simply cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

I booked for a group of 10 as another local restaurant would not take a booking for that many people on a Friday night (even though i offered a £500 deposit on my card)All i can say is that they did us a great favour , this is a real find !! Great food , great service ,good selection of beer and a fantastic price .Nothing was wrong at all , just fantastic .

We visited as a result of seeing many good reviews on Trip Advisor about their Thai food and it certainly did not disappoint! A wide range of Thai starters and mains which were delicious and very good value for money! I would highly recommend the vegetable spring rolls and tofu & vegetable Thai green curry! All mains can be made into a vegetarian alternative which is great!

What a great find - the owners have done a great job revamping the pub and garden area - friendly service and the Thai food is excellent, in quality, choice and price - we will return !

The food is fabulous! Service is good. The outside is wonderfully comfortable, sadly TOO sunny for us, so we sat comfortably inside. Amazing value for lunch and not very busy.

Found the Prince of Wales on trip advisor and decided to give it a go. Pulled up in the car park and looks like a normal pub from the outside. Don't let this fool you, it is fantastic. Walked in clean, friendly and a warm welcome. Food is fantastic, nothing else can be said. Well worth travelling for and you can forget your generic Wagamama etc, you this is much better!

Fresh vegetables and food. Speedy service by a Thai lady. However, the Green curry dish did not have any coconut milk and there were not much of tempura prawns in the dish. The beef was a much better option .

We tried this pub for the first time on seeing that Thai dishes were served all day. We were warmly welcomed by Lucy, the striking landlady, who looked after us throughout. Beyond the traditional pub layout is a garden area with comfortable seating and an attractive environment. We chose pad Thai and stir fry dishes - freshly prepared beautifully presented, accompanied by a good French Chardonnay, nicely chilled and moderately priced. The whole experience was relaxing and pleasurable. We will be back.

The pub is off the beaten track and whilst it can’t claim to be a member of the Lexicon clan, it is just over a 10 minute walk from there or a 3 minute drive, with free parking. Definitely worth the effort

Nice family friendly pub with excellent attentive service. My wife is Thai and gave it high marks. For a UK restaurant praise indeed! Also extremely reasonably priced.

Found myself in Bracknell looking for a Thai meal and turned to my trusty TA for a steer.

If you like Thai food, I would HIGHLY recommend a visit to The Prince of Wales! I've been to Thailand many times and can safely say this is the most authentic Thai-tasting food I've come across in a long time. The chefs are actually from Bangkok apparently, so they know what they're doing! The hosts, Lucy and James, and chef Penny couldn't have been nicer and more helpful, I have a life-threatening nut allergy and of course Thai food can contain. They went out of their way to ensure my safety and I really really enjoyed my Thai Green Curry. The Tempura and Satay Chicken (without the peanut sauce!) were excellent, too. The pub has been nicely decorated and there was a relaxed atmosphere, and I would certainly want to visit in summer as the beer garden is amazing! Thanks Lucy, James and Penny for a wonderful evening, I will be back!

I adore Thai food and since living in Bracknell I have not found anywhere to get my fix. I heard good reviews about this place and decided to give it a go.

SERVICE - fantastic from the minute we walked in, very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, brought drinks to the table. Lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Lucy and James are fantastic hosts at this great pub, impressive garden area which will be wonderful in summer. We ate from the Thai menu which was excellent - the starters and mains came out very fast which was perfect as we were in a hurry, however we were never rushed. Food was hot, fresh and delicious! Probably the most authentic Thai I’ve had in a long time. Great selection of dishes and Penny in the kitchen catered to our friend with a nut allergy perfectly. All in a relaxed atmosphere, much more so than your average Thai restaurant. I will be back many more times!

Just a genuinely lovely place run by welcoming and helpful staff. The food is fantastic, all made fresh in the pub's kitchen!

Received leaflet through door and decided to try the new Thai menu for my birthday. We were not disappointed. As we have been to Thailand many times on holiday it is great to know that the food was authentic and tasted so good.

Having visited the old prince of wales on a few occasions (not too many as it was god awful! only went as they were in the darts league) it was a pleasant surprise when I returned last year to find a pub completely transformed. The place is now extremely welcoming, has a good choice of lagers and the staff are great. Looking forward to visiting in the summer months as the beer garden is now one of the best equipped in the area! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend people pop in for a swift pint or 5

Absolutely love this place. It's spotlessly clean, fantastic staff, and now they have introduced a Thai Menu. Gorgeous food, well priced and great service. Highly recommended, it's nearly 2 miles to walk to, 4 miles back, but worth it

I tried the new Thai restaurant at the Prince of Wales for the first time and was not disappointed the food was amazing, portion size was generous lovely fresh ingredients and fantastic value for money.

Just the most amazing dinner, I love Thai food and can honestly say it was the best red curry and satay chicken I’ve ever had! All the food is clearly freshly made, they must work incredibly hard and the portion size for the value, mental.
