Always enjoy visiting this pub. It has a traditional vibe and a nice selection of really nice beers at fair prices.

A bustling pub with a good selection of beers and spirits. The bar closes late, so it’s a great bar to finish your night off.

Driven through Congleton many times without stopping. Boothroyd Bear decided it was time to rectify this; especially as this is also known as Beartown. First pint in this Joules pub. A brewery chain of exceptional pubs and superb beers. Lovely pint of 3.8% Pure Blonde, one of four real ales on handpump. Lovely interior but as the sun was out we sat in the rear beer garden. Great start to a day out.

This a fabulous Joules pub - very friendly staff and excellent beer. The beer is brewed locally and we are drinking the seasonal beer - Hawaii Five Jo - superb 🍺

Visited for first time as a result of an invitation to the open mic night. Lovely pub - really friendly behind the bar, and had a really very nice pint indeed. Music pretty good, (with the possible exception of the bits I was playing). I’ll come back and likely try the food.

Good beer and live music but could publicise events more.Nice beer garden.

Sorry hate to say it but only had a drink. The weather was lovely went in the beer garden. It needed a damn good clean. The pub was very much in need of a clean and make over. Hate giving a bad review but there you go.

Great Pub in the center of Congleton, good ale, good selection and the food is pretty good too.

Been here many times when visiting friends in Congleton, friendly feel to the place and a great selection of Joules beers on offer.

Very nice bar. Would recommend visiting for the excellent beers. The interior and outside seating areas are really nicely decorated and clean. They don't do food.

Overall disappointing Pub..High price for an average Beer in a town where you can get the same or better for half the price..No wonder Pubs are closing 🤔

Called in on the Jubilee weekend and it was reasonably busy. Ale was ok, wife did not like the wine…hey ho. Nice beer garden at the back with an interesting view of the derelict Methodist church.

Chilled out atmosphere at the Prince today with good chat. Seems ages since Prince Charles was in here having a pint!

This is a pub to be wary of. I walked in feeling fine, but on leaving, my legs felt wobbly and the whole planet seemed unstable. I can't remember what I drank, but it was dark and lovely. Perhaps I was suffering from dehydration and should have drunk a little more. I do recall the food being remarkably well priced, the decor and ambiance is quite eclectic, but is very homely. I will definitely go again.

Excellent, Boxing Day visit. Great service, nothing too much trouble, especially making my wife cups of tea all afternoon. Happy New Year.😀
